CONTROLS ++++++++++++++++++++###################++++++++++++++++++++##################### Keyboard only in this game: Arrow buttons, [Z], [X], [Spacebar], and [Esc] to return to Main Menu (Only works from the mini game main menu). ###################++++++++++++++++++++####################+++++++++++++++++++++ B. RULES ++++++++++++++++++++###################++++++++++++++++++++##################### Shikabon Derby: It's a horse racing game. You bet which two of the five horses run the fastest. There are ten consecutive races available for 1-3 player(s). For 4 players, there will be only one final race. The winner is the one who have the most money. If you/all the players are run out of money, then it's Game Over. Double Try: You can play it one or two player. The player who find the finish area first is the winner. This game is drawn very primitively.... Drive Game EF: Boy... this game is drawn VERY primitively, and it can't be played too due to a bug... ###################++++++++++++++++++++####################+++++++++++++++++++++ C. GENERAL TIPS ++++++++++++++++++++###################++++++++++++++++++++##################### Unlike the Soft number 7, this one has been decreased slightly in difficulty. Shikabon Derby: I can say that the odds given by the game is the real odds. So, you can't win big easily ^___^ Double Try: There are four difficulty. The Beginner/Medium/Difficult course is fair in my opinion, but the Labyrinth course is.... quite unforgiving, and they give so little effort on drawing the stage too... >___> Drive Game EF: So, anyone can play this?? ###################++++++++++++++++++++####################+++++++++++++++++++++ D. WALKTHROUGH ++++++++++++++++++++###################++++++++++++++++++++##################### After inserting the floppy disk and all: 1. Shikabon Derby. 2. Double Try. 3. Drive Game EF. 4. Play music. 5. Free Talk Vol. 4 6. Credit List. I don't see the bug any longer for Free Talk and Credit List. Free Talk is actually just some word from the game developer. Sorry, you probably have to translate it on your own.... gomenasai... ^______^ This walkthrough only covers the first and the second game, as the third game can't be played (yet?). ------------------- D01. SHIKABON DERBY ------------------- The first thing to do is to determine how many players you want to play, from one to four. Then, you'll be shown the horse name and their characteristic. I think it may be useless to notice them. As long as my observation goes, You only should notice the odds given by the game, as it's very difficult to list each horse with its corresponding odds to win. But, I'll say which horse to be noticed, especially for race number seven, which all the odds will become the same. Note that once you place your bet, you can't cancel it. If you play one, two or three players, there'll be 10 races. Race number 3,7, and 10 are special races. The other races which could be considered "normal races" can be participated by all horses randomly, except the special guess horse which only appears at race number 3. Race number 3 horse number one is the special guess horse who has the strength of above average, so the likelihood of the horse win is kinda big, but you earn only a little if you choose this horse, because the odds given by the game indicates this way. Race number 7 is the special race which all the winning odds of all kind of horses become the same. What I think of it is... perhaps the odds of all kind of horses to win becomes more balanced. But, I think it's wise to notice some horses: -The weakest horse is StoneRiver with the characteristic that the rider has ever fallen from the horse. -The horses who should be noticed is: 1. Isononamihei with the characteristic... "after this one?" 2. RopperCream with the characteristic "Gomennegomenne" 3. Banish with the characteristic "No plan" I think one of them wins this race becomes more possible, but two of them, especially the combination of the weakest horse and the noticeable horse is still very slim. Race number 10 or the last race is the special event race that all the winning odds becomes three times bigger. I think this is the time that the result of this race could become much more predictable, especially with three of the four horses above and two other horses. As the odds indicates that their odds to win the game could reach 1/100 times or below (this means that your earning is 100 times of your bet or above), which is VERY unlikely to happen. ---------------- D02. DOUBLE TRY ---------------- I think this game does not have anything to do with "Double Try". There is no Game Over for this game, you can't even lost any lives in this game. Wonder why this game was named "Double Try"...... There are four course to be selected: the Beginner/Medium/Difficult/Labyrinth course. The fifth option seems to be broken too.... Why the Beginner/Medium/Difficult course is much easier than the Labyrinth course? Besides the path diverges a lottt more at Labyrinth course, there is no clue at all which indicates that you are heading towards the correct path. At Beginner/Medium/Difficult course, there are 1-9 numbers signs which indicate that you are going the correct path. Of course, as the difficulty sign indicates, the Beginner course is slightly easier than the Medium course, and the Medium course is slightly easier than the Difficult course. The game should tell you that for player 1, z/x button is to start and play the game, and for player 2, the left/right arrow button is to start and play the game. All you should do is to rotate the screen using the buttons above until the circle drops down the correct way. The player who arrives at the finish area first (marked by X) wins. The same way works if you play alone, if you arrive at the finish area the game ends and you'll brought back to the mini game main menu. ###################++++++++++++++++++++####################+++++++++++++++++++++ E. MUSIC LIST ++++++++++++++++++++###################++++++++++++++++++++##################### Playing music is the fourth option in the Main Menu. The same with the previous edition (Soft#7), [Spacebar] key is to select the next track, [Esc] key to go back to main menu. This is the third edition instead of the second edition on Soft#7. 01.
