The revolutionist and panzer mk. 4 are american, while the rest are british. These robots can be bought in the buy robot option in competition mode. Panic attack and diotoir are available from the start, but the others will be unlocked as you complete each stage of competition mode. Panic attack My opinion: Panic attack is easy to control, and good for attacking. A good robot to start off with. Diotoir My opinion: Diotoir is another good robot to start off with. It is easy to control, and the flipper is good. 101 My opinion: 101 is ok for pushing, but has no real weaponry. Can run both ways up, and is easy to control. Wheely big cheese My opinion: Wheely big cheese is my favourite robot on the game. The flipper is immense, and sends robots flying if you can flip them under protruding weapons like spikes. Very easy to control, a must have. Pussycat My opinion: I dont like pussycat. It is hard to control, and all the armour comes off after a couple of hits. Do not get this robot. Behemoth My opinion: Behemoth is good. The scoop is effective, and it is easy to control. I recomend this one. Thermidor II My opinion: Thermidor is fairly easy to control, and the pincers are effective with the flipper. Overall a good robot. The revolutionist My opinion: I hate the revolutionist. It is so hard to control, and is easily flipped. Dont use it. Panzer mk. 4 My opinion: Panzer is a good robot to use. It is very easy to control, and the flipper is effective. Plunderbird 5 My opinion: Pluderbird is hard to control. It spins and skids very easily, so you cant line up properly to use the weapon. A poor robot on the game. Firestorm III My opinion: Firestorm is another robot that I dont like. It is hard to control, and the flipper is ineffective. It cant self right. Dont use it. Chaos 2 My opinion: Choas 2 is one of the most famous robots ever, for winning the uk robot wars twice. On the game it is a good robot. It is fairly easy to control, but may skid at times. The flipper is fairly effective too, if you can get a decent angle. Razer My opinion: Razer is one of my favourite robots in real life. On the game it is fairly easy to control, but it is very hard to get the weapon in. Tornado My opinion: Another one of my favourites. On the game, Tornado is easy to control, but turns fast. The weapon is uneffective, but the good pushing power makes up for this. Overall a very good robot. Hypno-disc My opinion: A good robot made not so good on the game. Hypno-discs weapon is relatively uneffective, and the srimech doesn't work. It is fairly easy to control, but to sum up, not one of the best robots on the game. Suicidal tendancies My opinion: Like Razer, suicidal tendancies is fairly easy to control, but it is a lot easier to get the weapon in. Dominator 2 My opinion: Dominator is sort of easy to control, but skids fairly easily. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIPS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are some tips for each type of fight. ANNIHILATOR: This battle consists of 4-6 robots. (When there are 3 robots it is called a MELEE) Tips: At the start for either the nearest one, or the one who you think stands the best cance of winning. Then go down in the order of best chance to least chance. Attack the sides, where there is often no weapons. SUMO: You are on a raised platform, and have to push your opponent off, and avoid being pushed off yourself Tips: Use a heavy robot with a scoop to get in underneath and push your opponent. HEAD TO HEAD: In this type of fight, it is you against one other robot. Tips: At the start, go straight for them unless they have a flipper or crushing arm. After that, go for the sides, or if you have a powerfull flipper (like on wheely big cheese) go for protruding weapons like spikes or pincers. FOOTBALL: Here, the aim is to score as many goals as posible. Tips: The opposing robots will not try to score, but will attack you instead. You can either treat it like a head to head, or you can try to score goals. If you choose to score goals, use a robot with a scoop to control the ball. ENDURANCE: Robots will enter the arenea one by one. You must destroy them all. Tips: Treat it like an annihilator. CAPTURE THE FLAG: A flag is placed in the arena. You must seize it by driving over it, and hold on to it for as long as possible. Tips: Use a speedy, but easy to control robot. When you have the flag, stay away from everyone else. MAD BOMBER: A bomb is placed on a random robot, who must get rid of it by ramming opponents. The person who has the bomb when it explodes is out. Tips: Again, use a fast easy to control robot. Stay a bit closer to the other robots, in case you get the bomb. COLLATERAL DAMAGE: Objects are placed around the areana, which you must destroy to get points. Tips: You can either destroy objects, or immobilise opponents. If you decide to destroy objects, use a robot with a flywheel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ARENAS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 8 arenas in the game, with many features. TV STUDIO: This is the studio in which the tv series is filmed. The arena is from the fifth wars. Features: Pit: A square hole in the arena floor. If you fall in here you lose. Pit release tyre: Ram into this to open the pit. Flipper: Sends you flying into the air. Flame pit: If your robot is flamable, it will set it on fire. It will cause damage. Arena wall torches: Same function as the flame pit. Angle grinders: Causes damage to the armour. CO2 vents: Sends you flying if you are on one when it shoots up CO2. NEW YORK SUBWAY: This is a subway station in new york. Features: Railway tracks: On both sides of the platform. If you fall on them, get away as quickly as possible or you will be crushed by the trains. Trains: If you are on the track when one passes through the station your chassis will be destroyed. If it is stopping, you will be pushed out of the arena. If a train has stopped, and the doors are open, dont go in. If the doors shut while you are in there you will lose. Barriers: Dont really do much. Just flings you across the arena. Escalators: Will carry you out of play. Loose bits of platform: At the edge of the platform there are 3 gaps in the barriers. The edges of the outer 2 will crumble and collapse if you go on them. JAPANESE ROOFTOP: The roof of a skyscraper in Tokyo. Features: Edges: If you fall off the edges you will fall down to the pavement below and be out. Skylight: If you stay on the glass too long it will shatter. Then, if you are careless with your driving, you will meet a similar fate to driving off the edge, only you will fall down the middle of the building. Generator: Get too close and this will zap some of the power from your weapon. NORTH ATLANTIC AIRCRAFT CARRIER: An aircraft carrier in the north atlantic. Features: Steam catapult: Touch this and you will be zooming off into the sea. Missile pit: A big pit at the end of the arena. Same basic rules as the tv studio pit. Go in it, youre out. Depth charges: If you hit the wooden thing next to matilda they will make the boat rock and sway about. Rocket flame: Doesnt do much. Just basicly the same as the barriers in the new york subway. Edges of the ship: Fall off the edges, you get wet and lose. SAO PAULO SCRAPYARD: A section of a brazillian scrapyard Features: Crusher: Avoid going in here. if you do happen to find yourself in it, get out quickly before it traps you. Car door: Get too close and it will fling you into the crusher. Crane: Doesnt actually do anything that i know of. Crane tyre/switch: Again doesnt actually do anything that i know of. MUNICH CAR FACTORY: Part of a car factroy in munich Features: Paint pit: Will reduce your power. The crane will pull you out eventually. Furnace: You will be out if you go in here. Conveyor belt: Avoid it. Drags you towards the furnace. Barriers: Watch out for the yellow barrier fences behind Killalot. If you repeatedly bang into them, they will collapse, and if you fall of the gap, you will be out. SIBERIAN MILITARY BASE: An abandoned military base in siberia. Features: Silo: Another feature with the same rules as the tv studio pit. in it and out. Silo switch: Opens up the silo. Located on the top of the raised part at the side of the arena. Mine field: Full of hidden mines to blow you sky high. You must get through this to get to the ramps to get up the raised part to get to the silo switch. MARS: A space base on mars Features: Air lock: The big doors. Opened by the switch next to them. If you go in here will be blown into space and out of the fight. Anti-gravity: Activated by the switch to the left of you when you start a fight. When you hit the switch, everything goes up to the ceiling. Not the best idea if you cant self right. Waste disposal: Will open if you go on it. will close after. When open another tv studio pit rules type thing. In it and out. Blue dome: A blue dome like thing that sends you flying accross the arena . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHEATS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter at main menu: accessallarenas: Unlock all arenas in arcade mode Enter at competition menu: fabletmeplayasahouserobot: Play as a house robot in arcade mode givememoresponds: More money in competition mode Enter at pause menu in arcade mode: timeisonmyside: Infinate time nowyouseemenowyoudont: Invisibility wierdnakedrobots: See through armour Thanks to game faqs (contributed by Christophee) for all cheats. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE END ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you very much for reading my faq.
