General Information ========================================================================== 1.1 Introduction -------------------- Information from this guide is mainly based on the playing experience of the author, as well as information given from mod tools and some information from various gaming forums. I will use N,E,W,S,NE, etc to mean direction points of the compass where N is the top of the screen. Since some of the maps are not big open areas, but winding paths etc. It is difficult to give exact directions. In general the directions are relative to a certain landmark (which would be described), or relative to the center of the area (if no relative point described). Since most maps areas are linear with one entry and one exit, it is hard to get lost. The side quest title description has the following format Side quest : : : Source of quest: where the quest is given Destination of quest: Where the quest is fulfilled Final note, please do not play a pirated or illegal copy. If you like the game, buy it (even if it is the only one you buy). Then Ironlore will have more incentive to make more content and maybe even a sequel. ƒº 1.2 What is Titan Quest Immortal Throne? ---------------------------------------- Titan Quest Immortal Throne an expansion for the Titan Quest game developed by Iron Lore (for more information on Titan Quest, see my guide on TQ). It is an expansion which means that you cannot play Titan Quest Immortal Throne (shortened to TQIL from now on) without owning and installing Titan Quest first. The expansion adds many new features, items, and an extra "level" to original game. The expansion adds about an extra 10 hours of new content, but like TQ, TQIL has a lot of replayability. The expansion takes place after the final combat with the Titan in the original game, and after you enter the portal, you get transported to a village an a new adventure which will take you to HELL (Hades), and fight even more mythical Greek monsters and defeat an even harder enemy. For those who have the original game and have characters who have completed the original game with characters; TQIL will automatically import your characters, and allow you to play the "extra" level without having to start over. For example, if you have a character that has beaten Normal level but mid way through Epic difficulty, you can use this player to play the extra expansion stage. All you have to do is to select normal difficulty and your player will immediately start at the extra stage. If you choose Epic difficulty however, you will start at the same point in the original game, and you will have to play all thru way through epic difficulty and defeat the Titan, before you can play the Epic difficulty expansion stage. 1.3 What the Expansion offers ------------------------------------------ Those of you who have played the original TQ, will know that there was room for improvement (although minor). It seems Iron Lore has listened to the players and implemented some useful features in addition to the extra content. I will discuss the extra content first. Extra Level: TQIL adds an extra "level" to the TQ game, which offers an extra 10 hours play, starting at Rhodes and ending up in Hades. The level is big, and each section the maps are bigger than your standard TQ section. Also the maps seem to be slightly less linear. In TQ you basically follow one path and you cannot go wrong. In TQIL, the maps are bigger and there seems to be multiple exits to each section. Although in the end it leads to the place, the extra paths and larger maps makes the game much less linear. Extra Monsters: Needless to say the new level there are a whole set of new monsters in the level. Many new monsters are added to TQIL all drawn and animated with the care seen in the original game. The monsters also use the new skills and forms of attack. Extra items: Over 500 new items have been which can be dropped in all stages (including the original three stages). In addition to weapons and armor, new charms are dropped from the new monsters and new relics have been added as well. In addition to extra items, two totally new items have also been added. First are scrolls, which are powerful use once spells which you can purchase and use in time of need. The second are Artifacts; these are special items that are placed in a special new slot on your character. Artifacts are special items that grant special bonuses to your character. Artifacts are hard to find and drops very rarely, however if you find an enchanter you can ask them to make you one, provided you have the recipe for the artifact (Arcane Formula). You will need to find an arcane formula first which is like a recipe list. Only an enchanter can make it. Once you have the recipe, you just give it to the enchanter and for a fee (and all the right items in the list), he/she will create the artifact for you. Extra mastery: TQIL adds an extra mastery to the game, the Dream mastery. This gives an extra nine different classes (8 when combined with the original 8 classes and 1 class ¡V Dream by itself). The Dream mastery gives an extra pet, as well as offensive and defensive skills to complement any melee or magic user. I think IronLore specifically designed this mastery to have skills suited for both melee and magic. The Caravan: At last, no more third party programs to transfer items between characters. The caravan allows you store precious items that are more useful to your other characters. It allows you to place the item in the caravan, then open the other character and retrieve the item from the caravan. In addition, the caravan also acts as an extra storage for your own character. There is a section of the caravan that CANNOT be transferred to other characters (like a private stash). However the space is small, but with some money you can purchase more space. Other changes: If the above was not enough, there are also a few extra nice features in the expansion. I will only briefly mention theses. Better multiplayer interface and features. Now has an automatic "join party" mode so you immediately join the party when you enter the game. More details when you select a game, e.g. language etc. More details during gameplay on players in your party. Inventory auto sort: We all know the original TQ did a bad job of placing items in your inventory slot, and the pain of rearranging the inventory to make space for a new item. Now TQIL has an auto sort button, that try to place your items in the best place. Although not amazing, but at the very least, you do not need to juggle those potions, charms and relics any more. No autopick up. In TQ, as long as the items are on the ground you can pick them up, however sometimes they are hard to see, and you accidentally pick up an item when you intend to move to a spot. To solve this problem, TQIL now has a option to filter out all those useless items (configurable), so you never accidentally pick up these items. Extra control of Pets: You pets can now be set to Aggressive, normal or defensive. Aggressive pets will attack always, Defensive will protect you and normal is the normal AI in the original game. You can also select each pet using the F2-F7 function keys. Extra quick slots: Instead of just one quick slot bar, you now have two (switch using B key). Tombstone: When you die, a tombstone is placed at the point where you die. And when you're reborn you can revisit the tombstone and click on it to gain back some experience you lost. Note: No items are lost (unlike Diablo II). Finally better effects: More special effects have been added to the game, from more realist rolling fog to bloom and other light effects. ========================================================================== 2. Walkthrough ========================================================================== This walkthrough is for the expansion only, for more information on the original levels, please download my guide for Titan Quest. This walkthrough starts where the original guide ends, after you enter the Portal in Olympus, and follows a similar structure to my previous guide. For those who have not played TQ (original) it is recommended you read my previous guide. For those who have played the original game, you may not need to read my previous guide as you can probably piece together what I mean. The figures presented in this section, are for guideline only, as with the rest of the document. IronLore can and has the right to change the rewards in subsequent patches. 2.1 A Mysterious Message ---------------------------- Map areas: Temple of Apollo City of Rhodes(rebirth fountain, portal) Coastal Asomata Camirus Bluff Cave to Damatia Damatia Ixian woods (rebirth) Den of The Anteok Medea's Grove (rebirth, portal) Titan Quest ends when you defeat Typhon and a portal opens. This is when TQIL starts. When you enter the portal, you exit to find yourself at a Temple of Apollo. There is nothing much here, except a rebirth fountain and a set of steps leading down, so activate the rebirth fountain and make you way down. On your way down you will meet a ghostly apparition by the name of Tiresias. Tiresias will tell you something bad is happening too the mortal realm, and that you should seek the sorceress of the Ixian woods. This is the main quest. Keep going down (as if there is any other way), and you will see a guy, Eurymachus, standing around just before you enter the city. Talk to him, and he will update the main quest. He tells you of a sorceress by the name of Medea who may be the person you are looking for. After talking to Eurymachus, you enter the City. The "city" has a rebirth fountain and the first portal. If you are playing with a character directly after the original game, you will find the new enchanter merchant, and a caravan. The enchanter (lightning above the head) allows you to make artifacts for a price and the caravan allows you to store some items, as both a private stash and also to transfer to other players. You should also check out the other merchants as they will have new items, as well as scrolls and other new stuff. After you have finished shopping it is off to your new adventure. For the first side quest, talk to the woman Maera, who tells of a sick son, and the "evil" sorceress who would not help, however the sorceress's apprentice by the name of Procne was willing to help, and Meara ask you to seek her out (Side Quest: An impossible task). Also talk to Arion for another side quest (A crab story), who tells of a giant crab preventing goods from coming to the city. Exit the city into Coastal Asomata. This area has a few things of note, and because this is a walkthrough I will describe everything that can be seen in a fairly logical order. First follow the coastline, keeping to the edge of the sea. You will eventually see a man Abderus who will give you a side quest (Torch lighters). It seems that the people cannot light the torch (light house like flame), because there are lots of undead blocking the path to the torch. You have to escort and protect the torch lighter to the torch stand. Note: I am not sure but I think you can actually fail this quest if the torch lighter following you gets killed (I may try it sometime). You will now have a torch lighter guy follow you. Keep following the coast until the end, and follow the cliff wall until you see a set of steps leading up to Camirus Bluff and some undead guys. Go up the steps, making sure the torch lighter does not get killed. When you reach the top it, is not the end. Two or three waves of Undead guys will appear, and you will have to kill them all and protect the torch lighter. After all the monsters have been killed the torch lighter will light the torch, and remain here (you do not need to protect him any longer). Go back to Abderus for reward. Side Quest: Torch lighters Gauntlet: Coast of Asomata : Coast of Asomata reward Normal: Arcane Formula, 30,000 XP Epic: Arcane Formula, 75,000 XP Legendary: Arcane Formula, 200,000 XP Now, you can go back to the city entrance, and go north following the wall until you reach a cave (cave to Damatia), enter the cave which has another exit into Damatia. You will find a guy by the name of Proteas, who will update the "A Crab story" side quest and say the giant crab is down by the coast. So go down and kill the Gargantuan Krakinos. Go back up and talk to Proteas for reward. Side Quest: A crab story : City of Rhodes : Damatia Reward:(feast of Crabs legs according to Proteas plus the following) Normal: Relic shard, 30,000XP Epic: Relic shard, 75,000XP Legendary: Relic shard, 200,000XP OK now back to the cave and back out into the Coast of Asomata. Keep following the wall until you see a gate ("Oversea's passage, which is "locked by guardian"). Anyway, no spoilers yet, so just keep note this place exists, but you will not revisit it any time soon. Keep follow the top wall (E direction), and you will reach the exit to this area, with the rebirth fountain. You can explore the rest of this area if you wish but there is nothing else of particular interest. Ixian Woods: Activate the rebirth fountain if you have not done so. Soon after entering a soldier comes running with an exclamation mark on it's head. Time to talk. Talk to the guy (Chrysis) and he says his sergeant sent him to get reinforcements as their out post is being attacked. (Side Quest: Outpost in the woods). Go a short distance in a NW direction and you will find the outpost. Talk to the sergeant (Teisias), for an update. He says monsters have been attacking and they come by waves from the waterfall up ahead. You could help out by destroying them. The waterfall Teisias talks about is in a NE direction from the camp. It is not hard to miss and in fact it is two waterfalls, next to each other. The cave entrance is right next to the waterfalls. So enter the "Den of the Anteok" and find "Sullyin the belligerent" and kill him/it. Return to Teisias and talk to him for reward. Side Quest: Outpost in the woods: Ixian woods : Ixian Woods Reward: Normal: Magical Armor, 30,000XP Epic: Magical Armor, 75,000XP Legendary: Magical Armor, 200,000XP There is only one exit in this area (Ixian Woods), which is to the NE of the outpost (and NW from the waterfall) marked by the double torches, you can explorer the area but there is nothing special. After you pass the torches you enter a grove line with trees that leads to two monsters guarding a gate (Ascacophus). Kill them and enter Medea's grove. Once you enter you will find Medea is a circular area. Talk to her and she give you a mouthful about killing her guards, and then goes back to business concerning the main quest. You will have a dangerous journey ahead as there is something bad going on, in order for you to proceed to your destiny, you need to find the "Eye of the Grey ones" and give it to her. Main Quest Reward Normal: 18,000XP Epic: 45,000XP Legendary: 115,000XP 2.2 Medea's Price ------------------ Area: Medea's grove (rebirth, portal) Ixian outlands (rebirth) Ampelian cave (rebirth) Soronis (rebirth) Tomb of the Tsakonian Queen Tsakonian ruins (rebirth) Tomb of Aegimius Great Tomb of Dorus Temple of the Grey ones OK now your quest is to get the "Eye of the grey ones" (Perseus and the Graeae anyone???? Wiki it if you like or watch "Clash of the Titans"). So follow the path to the portal and also the merchants. Here you will get some more side quests. Talk to Semele for the side quest "The Stolen sigil". So Semele has lost a Sigil stone and afraid that Mistress Medea will punish her. Spare her the punishment and find the stone for her. Talk to Lampido for the side quest "Lampido's potion". Lampido says she has invented a great potion of remarkable power. Help her gather the ingredients for the potion so that she can make it. Also you will find Procne here ("An impossible task" side quest). Talk to her and she will update the side quest, asking you to get a book from the Lich Queen so that she can make the medicine to cure the boy. Off we go again following the steps, and at the end of the stairs, you will find a person with another side quest. Talk to Carme for the "The wealth of the Ancient Kings" side quest which is basically a find the treasure quest. After talking to Carme , exit into Ixian outlands. There is nothing much in this area except a cave entrance (Ampelion caves) to the NE of the area, which leads to another exit to Soronis. However if you explorer the caves you will find the Formicid queen. Kill Queen Y'cht'ssk'l (I think I spelt it correctly), and she will drop the Sigil stone. Naughty, naughty a thieving Queen. Teleport back to Semele and talk to her for reward. Side Quest: The Stolen Sigil: Medea's grove: Medea's grove Reward: Normal: Powerful staff, 30,000XP Epic: Powerful staff, 75,000XP Legendary: Powerful staff, 205,000XP Now, back to the main quest and exit the caves into Soronis, and activate the rebirth fountain just out side of the cave entrance. Soronis is actually quite big and divided into three areas. The exit to the first area is roughly to the north of the starting point. You can recognize this by the grassland changing into stone path that leads to some steps. However before you exit this section, you could go E from the stone path and if you look carefully you will find a windy path which leads to an area with a temple like structure ("Hall of Propones"). There is nothing of importance here, except for extra monster bashing and XP (normal only????), so you could skip this section and continue to the next part of Soronis if you want. At the stone walkway proceed N past the two torches, you will find a rebirth fountain, and further on you will reach the swampy area of Soronis. Moving NNE from the entrance and following the quest marker you will find a plant in the middle of the swamp. This is the night blossom, and is a bigger nastier version on the Quill Vine. Watch out because it can shoot multiple projectiles. You have to kill it to get the Petal of the Night Blossom, which is one of the ingredients for the "Lampido's potion" side quest. From the plant, move Northwards and you will find a big Anouran camp. Look carefully at the walls around the camp and also the map that should show a quest marker. Follow it carefully and you should find the section of the anouran camp with the Cybe Mushroom, the second ingredient for the potion (the Cybe Mushroom does not attack). After you have the mushroom, go back out to the opening of the Anouran camp. Proceed in an East direction and you will find two stone bridges one going NE and the other NW. This is the exit to this area, you can explorer the rest of the area if you want, or go across any of the bridges to the next section, as they both lead to the same area. You are now in the third area. It does not matter which bridge you cross, keep moving in a SE direction and you will find another Anouran camp, and in the camp is a Aestivus tree (does not attack), click on it to the third and final ingredient. Portal back to Medea's grove and talk to Lampido twice for the reward and portal back to Soronis. Side Quest: Lampido's potion: Medea's grove: Medea's grove Reward: Normal: +6 str, +80 health, 30,000 XP Epic: +8 str, +150 health, 75,000 XP Legendary: +10 str, +200 health, 205,000XP Go back out to the main part of the swamp and the exit should be at the NE part of the map slightly off the left of the top right corner. You can recognize it by the stone floor that leads to the two torches and the rebirth fountain. But before you go to this next section, you will notice a red portal marker to the W of the exit. If you go W from the exit, you will find an opening to the Tomb of the Tsakonian Queen. This is needed for a side quest, so if you are not bothered with side quests, you can skip this tomb. Inside you will find Queen Alkiste : Undead corrupt soul, and when you kill her she will drop a quest item; the Ancient Moon key. More on this key later. Now back to the rebirth fountain and the next area, the Tsakonian Ruins. I will not describe the ruins in detail because the area is quite big and is rather like a maze. What I will say is that the exit is right at the SE corner of the map and easily recognized because of the rebirth fountain. So if you wander around, you know you are still in the area as long as you do not go past the rebirth fountain. What is in this area? Well nothing for the main quest, so if you are ignoring the side quests, you can skip this section and go straight for the rebirth fountain to the SE (and skip the next few paragraphs). To the N from where you came in (note because it is maze like, it may mean you may have to change direction and "zig zag" to get to some locations instead of a direct route). You will find the "Tomb of Aegimius". In the tomb you will find a woman by the name of Nysa and talking to her gives you the side quest "Treasure hunters". She and her brother are treasure hunters, but her brother is lost, find her brother Herodin and get reward. Also in the tomb is King Aegimius, another undead corrupt soul. Kill him and he will drop the Sun Key again a quest item (but which quest??? It actually does not say in the descriptions). OK back out of the tombs, back into the ruins. Just slightly north of the center of the area, you will find a sundial like object that is called the "Altar of Kallixenia". Click on the altar to call the Queen Liche Kallixenia. Kill her/it and get the book. Portal back to Medea's grove and give the book to Procne by talking to her, Talk again, to get the medicine and first part of the reward (Arcane formula). You can be mean and keep the elixir (medicine) which is no use to you or be nice and cure the boy by talking the Portal back to City of Rhodes and talking to Maera to complete the "An impossible task" and get the rest of the reward, then portal back to the Tsakonian ruins. Side Quest: An Impossible task: City of Rhodes: City of Rhodes Reward: Normal: Arcane Formula (from Procne), 35,000XP (from Maera) Epic: Arcane Formula (from Procne), 80,000XP (from Maera) Legendary: Arcane Formula (from Procne), 220,000XP (from Maera) Finally in this section, Herodion the lost brother, is right on the NE corner of the map. Talk to him to complete the "Treasure hunters" side quest. Side Quest: Treasure Hunters: Tomb of Aegimius: Tsakonian ruins Reward: Normal: 25,000XP Epic: 60,000XP Legendary: 175,000XP Back to the Main Quest, and past the rebirth fountain (SE of the Tsakonian ruins remember) to the second section of the Tsakonian ruins. After rebirth fountain is a winding swampy path that leads to another stone paved area. You head straight forwards (NW) for the main quest or do a kind of "U-turn" to an area (SW) to complete another side quest. This paragraph is for the side quest so skip it if you wish. OK so you do the U turn and follow it to the "Great Tomb of Dorus". Inside the tomb, you will find some doors are locked. Remember the Sun and Moon keys. Well you use those to open doors to rooms with levers that in turn opens doors in another part of the dungeon. Sounds complicated but it is really quite straight forward. Finally you meet "King Dorus" the undead. Go into the final room for the goodies in the chests and complete the "The wealth of the ancient kings". Make your way back to the entrance to this section (where you did the Uturn). Side Quest: The wealth of the ancient kings: Medea's grove: Great Tomb of Dorus. Reward: Normal: 40,000XP Epic: 60,000XP Legendary: 270,000XP At the entrance to the second section of the ruins keep going forwards (N) until you find the Temple of the Gray ones. Inside are the three sisters, which don't act blind at all and pretty mean little old ladies. Alas, there is greater things at stake that your morals, so you have to kill the three old ladies (Dieno, Enyo, Pempherdo) and grab their only eye. These old ladies have a variety of very powerful attacks. These attacks do a lot of damage (vitality I think), so learn the small pause before attacks. Luckily they are pretty weak in terms of health. Return the eye to Medea. Portal back to Medea's grove and talk to Medea to give her the eye. Talk to her again and she will open a portal to Hades. Main Quest Reward: Normal: 30,000XP Epic: 75,000XP Legendary: 200,000XP Congratulations you are one quarter the way through the expansion. 2.3 Road to Hades ------------------ Areas Epirus ¡V refugee camp (rebirth, portal) Epirus City of Paseron (rebirth) Ossuary of the Trespoti Paseron outskirts (rebirth) Pindos Mountains Passage of souls Hades ¡V Dark grove River Styx (rebirth, portal) Charon's Dock Shrine of the Golden Bough Unfinished bridge The New Road (rebirth) Do all your normal stuff you do at these way points and when you are ready talk to the people for some side quests. Talk to Epigenes for the "Amongst the ruins" side quest. The City of Paseron has been invaded by monsters. There are still living humans there that need to be rescued. Talk to Pisistratus for the "A dangerous mission" side quest. Pisistratus sent Admetus to Paseron to get food and medical supplies for the camp but he has not come back. Search for Admetus and help him bring back the medical supplies. Talk to Pythes for the "The enemy's captian" side quest. Apparently the sacking of Paseron is commanded by an evil captain, kill it would be a deed worth of a hero. Now when you are ready out into Epirus, you will see some apparitions wandering around, these apparently as souls (called shades and they do not attack), which are wandering the living world because they have nowhere to go. Anyway you can ignore them (Note: I am not sure but I think I saw the monsters attacking them once). The exit to this area is near the NW where the guards are guarding some double gates into the City of Paseron. There is also a cave on the right edge of the map (N) from the refugee camp. There is nothing in the cave (Ossuary of the Trespoti). In the city of Paseron talk to Thoegenes for an update to the "Amongst the ruins" side quest. The first thing you will probably do is probably rescue the living humans (even if you are ignoring the side quest, as most are in your path anyway). Just follow the quest markers and kill the monsters around the scared humans. Once you have killed the monsters around them they will run back to the area where Theogenes is. Do this for all the humans (around 10). You know when you have rescued them all because of a side quest update will pop up. Go back and talk to Theogenes for reward. Side Quest: amongst the ruins : Epirus refugee camp: city of Paseron Reward: Normal: magical jewel, 32,000XP Epic: magical jewel, 77,000XP Legendary: magical jewel, 208,000XP This first section of the city only has one exit, a set of steps leading up in a NE direction. At the top of the steps, proceed up (NW or towards the top of the screen). At the top there is actually a path that leads to Admetus, which is hard to spot because of the rubble which "looks" like it is impassible (follow the quest marker if you have to). Talk to the wounded Admetus and he will drop the supplies, take the medical supplies back to Pisistratus for reward, and portal back. Side Quest: A dangerous mission: Epirus refugee camp: Epirus refugee camp Reward Normal: 65,000 gold and 32,000XP Epic: 550,000 gold and 77,000XP Legendary: 1,100,000 gold, 208,000XP Now back to the heart of the city. This second section also only has one exit, which you can find by finding some guards standing around. The exit is the arch the guards are standing under and lead to an amphitheatre (the semi circle structure). Past the amphitheatre is a rebirth fountain. The next area is the final area of the city of Paseron, keep wandering until you find a large square area (NW from the rebirth fountain). In the square is Proseia the Enemy's captain. Destroy it to complete the side quest and proceed the double doors to the N of the square. Side Quest: The Enemy's captian : Epirus refugee camp: City of Paseron. Reward: normal: Magical weapon, 32,000XP Epic: Magical weapon, 77,000XP Legendary: Magical weapon, 208,000XP Go through the newly opened doors across the stone bridge into the Paseron outskirts. There is nothing much in this area. If you follow the road it will lead to a fork, the NW path leads to a dead end (broken wooden bridge), and the E path leads to the only exit to the Pindos mountains. The Pindos mountain is even more mundane, just a path leading to a cave entrance and a path winding (passage of souls) down into Hades ¡V Dark grove. Welcome to Hades. The first section of Hades is pretty small and has only one exit N, pass the two torches. Keep going is a NE direction and you will find two downward slopes; they lead to same area. Finally rest at the River Styx. Activate the portal and the rebirth fountain then do some talking. Talk to Corpreus for the Stygian Lurker side quest. It seems that he has seen a Hydradon swimming around the River Styx. It sometimes comes out to eat a few souls. Kill the Hydradon for reward. On Charon's Dock, talk to Antigenes for "one who will lead" side quest. It seems Charon is missing and no one to ferry the souls across the Styx into Hades. A replacement must be found. Find the replacement (Hippachus) for reward. Finally talk to Archetimas for a main quest update. There is only one exit to the south that leads to the next area (two torches). This area has nothing special except a structure (shrine of the Golden Brough) that separates the two parts of this "River Styx" area. The part does not seem to serve any purpose (may be a reference to Aeneas and Sibyl story for consitency, but apart for that there is nothing special about this area). Anyway, as you enter the next area of the Styx (torches), turn Westwards and you will reach a Formicid camp with a troglodyte hero. Kill the beast to free Hippachus. Talk to him to updated the "One who would lead" side quest; you need to find the oar so that he could row Charon's boat. The rest of the area does not have anything else special, and the exit is SE to the unfinished bridge. The unfinished bridge holds a boss battle so make sure you have enough potions as you cannot come back this way once you enter the bridge. Once you enter your path is blocked by a wall of water. Charon stands ahead and you have to defeat him to get past. Charon has various attacks, from water geysers, to some kind of splash attack, and also summon shades. Although normally I would not consider a difficult fight, the fact that you are on the bridge and limited in movement makes this fight quite difficult. Kill Charon (Why has he turned against the souls?), and he will drop his oar. Portal back to Styx and talk to Hippachus to get reward, and portal back to the bridge. Side Quest: One who would lead: River Styx: River Styx Reward Normal: Relic shard, 40,000XP Epic: Relic shard, 80,000XP Legendary: Relic shard, 250,000XP Across the bridge and pass a rebirth fountain. Tiresias is here. Talk to him for an update on the Main Quest. Why is a bridge being built across the Styx when souls use the boat, what about this new road, what is the purpose. Also Elysium is no longer a paradise as there is trouble there, find Elysium. Note: Elysium is the part of Hades where Heroes go in their afterlife. Main Quest Road to Hades complete. Rewards: Normal: 25,000XP (Health and Energy restored) Epic: 50,000XP (Health and Energy restored) Legendary: 120,000XP (Health and Energy restored) Congratulations you are half way through the expansion 2.4 Judgment of the Living. --------------------------- Area The New Road (rebirth) Stygian Marsh (rebirth) Daemon Storeroom Den of Tantalus City of Lost Souls (rebirth) Upper City of Lost Souls (rebirth) Lower City of Lost Souls (rebirth) Small Rocky Cave Plains of judgment (rebirth) The Salt Flats (rebirth) Hecatean Agora Lower Daemon Camp Pools of Mnemosyne Prisoner's camp (rebirth) Upper Daemon Camp Vale of Morning (rebirth) Erebus Far Plains Deep Caverns The Dread Path The Dread Halls (rebirth) Tower of judgment (rebirth) Fifth Domain Fourth Domain (rebirth) Third Domain (rebirth) Second Domain (rebirth) First Domain (rebirth) Hall of Judgement There is nothing much in this area, keep heading E to a broken (unfinished bridge) and from the bridge, head N until you reach steps which lead into the water (end of the area). You should now be in the Stygian Marsh. The marsh is a simple kind of maze and pretty hard to describe with words only (only serves to confuse). So what I will do is just describe how to go from entry point to exit point of each section. Once you know where the exit is, you are free to roam around the area. OK so you are between the torches at the start of the Stygian Marsh. Set off in a N direction until you see a small wooden bridge. Go under it and keep left. You will see a ramp (with torches) up onto an island. This is your first exit. This first island has a portal into the Daemon Storeroom; you can visit for loot and XP, but apart from that nothing else. Cross the bridge (that you just went under) to the next island, and activate the rebirth fountain. Also on this island are some soul cages (with shades/souls in side), and just like Hippachus, they are guarded by a troglodyte jailor. When you defeat the "mini boss" jailor you can free these souls from the soul cage. I do not know if it serves any purpose as it seems they are not part of a quest, maybe it unlocks extra content, who knows, but free them any way. This is not the last time we see these; I will not mention them again (unless it is of significance), so free them if and when you see them, but I will not tell you to do so. This island has a ramp down to another part of the marsh. This second part of the marsh you need to find the entry point to the next island, which is the island to the right of the entry point. So just follow the edge of this island, and you will find the entry point (two torches) on the other side. Again wander around if you like. The second island has two bridges one running SE which leads to a dead end island and the other running northwards to the next entry point into the marsh (torches and rebirth fountain). The next island entry point is just to the N . If you do not go up the steps but instead keep going N there is a cave (Den of Tantalus). Also in this area is the soul eating Hydradon (Soul Feaster), it is quite slow but watch out for the flame breath. Kill it to complete the "The stygian lurker" side quest. Side Quest: The Stygian Lurker: River Styx: Stygian Marsh Reward: Normal: +4 STR/Int/dex, 35,000XP Epic: +6 STR/Int/dex, 80,000XP Legendary: +8 STR/Int/dex, 210,000XP Finally out of the marsh; follow the road and admire the big statues (Athena and Apollo??) and down the ramp into the "City of Lost Souls". There is a rebirth fountain and next to the rebirth fountain is an entrance. The areas inside are quite linear and pretty much one exit per room, so keep going until you exit the underground and into the open again. Activate the rebirth fountain. Go E to a bridge and cross it (and admire the big Greek naked lady statues if you like). This next section is maze like and pretty nasty because you get a concentration of melee, ranged and magic monsters which means that it may be best to take the quickest way out. Anyway here is the shortcut. From the bridge follow the path and go up the second set of steps on your right. At the top of the steps there are more steps leading N, take these steps to the top plateau with the bridge. Ta da¡Ktold ya it was short. Across the bridge and pass the rebirth fountain into the Upper City of Lost Souls. Just follow the path (there is only one way), until you reach an entrance to the underground. This leads back into the "City of Lost Souls". Keep going through the only real exits and eventually you come out of the underground into the lower city of lost souls. Go S through a canyon (path with steep walls on each side). Until you reach the opening. OK in this next area you will immediately see an entrance to the underground to the W. a bit more W further from this entrance is a dead end. To your right (E) there is a set of winding steps (which may not be apparent yet) is the exit to this area. Through the entrance to underground is another side quest, so if you are ignoring side quests, you can skip the next paragraph and head for the steps to the East. In the cave there are three exits. The SW path leads eventually to a dead end. The NE path also leads to a dead end, but there is a room with strange glowing markings on the floor. I do not know the significance but these symbols will appear later on. The final NW corridor leads to a large room. Talk to Aristonymus for "Hade's Treasure" side quest. At the end of the room there are four altars Frost, Flame, Soul and Venom; obviously you put something on them, but for now just know they are here. Leave the underground back to the way you came (you do not need to visit here for a long while). Go up the winding steps into a plateau with one entrance. Enter and rest here. There is a rebirth fountain, portal, Enchanters, merchants etc. So do some inventory spring cleaning before continuing. Talk to Leda for "The Dust of a Titan" side quest. Collect dust from a Titan and Leda will make a powerful elixir for you. (2 Skill points, wow!) Talk to Eurydice for "Eurydice and Orpheus" side quest. Find the Mirror of Psyche which is in the cave of Whispers. The mirror will open a path to where her lover Orpheus is held. Talk to Callicrates for "An Invitation" side quest. There are some demon caravans, supplying goods to the demons. Destroying these will be a set back to the demon forces, you will be rewarded. Talk to Oenobius for "The Necromanteion" side quest. Find the Necromanteion and destroy all monsters in it for a reward. Finally talk to Phyleides for a main quest update. Search for the Judges who (like Charon) seems to have stopped doing their jobs. Lots of side quests to keep you occupied, so off we go. Out into The Plains of Judgment, and a short walk down the slope to the Salt Flats. The caravans (side quest: An invitation) is to the NW and only a short distance; destroy these and return to Callicrates for reward. Side Quest: An Invitation : Upper City of Lost Souls: Upper City of Lost Souls Reward: Normal: magical Jewelry, 25,000XP Epic: magical Jewelry, 50,000XP Legendary: magical Jewelry, 140,000XP NOTE: After you complete the invitation side quest, talking to Callicrates again will prompt him to give you a new side quest "The inside source". First you have to find and talk to Pylades. He is a shade in the corner of the long retangular hall with the merchants. After talking to him, you have to find Keuthonymos. As most people will ignore any new messages after a side quest is completed, it is easy to miss this new side quest. This is not the only time this happens in TQIL (those developers are getting clever). The exit is to the NE, you will see the ramp and torches. Go up the ramp to "Hecatean Agora"; notice the glowing symbol on the floor. Keep following this platform till you reach the other side of the Salt Flats, and activate the rebirth fountain. There is only one exit in this area, marked by the two torches. If you want rough directions it is NW (till you reach the wall), then turn to SW direction. There rest leads nowhere, but quite big and good for XP. The road turns to a dark dirt marking the road up the ramp Lower Daemon camp. When you reach the top, there is a small area to the right with Thyia of the Stygian Frost (Empusa hero). Kill her and you get a Frost stone; this is one of the four stones needed to open Hades' treasury. In the W side you find "Keuthonymos -Neutral Daemon" . Talk to him to update Inside source side quest; you have to ambush the convoy in the vale of mourning and return the message to him. There is a cave to the N (Pools of Mnemosyne) which is only good for loot and XP. To the E of the cave entrance is the exit to this area. Down the slope into the prisoner's camp. In this area there are many jailors and many prisoners in soul cages. There is only one exit, and the area is quite small. One thing of note is that one of the soul cages contains Admetus (yes the Medicine messenger at Paseron). It seems he dies after you talk to him in Paseron and is now in spirit form (shade). Talk to him for a side quest ( Admetus amongst the dead) which is just a basic "I thank you later", meaning look for him in later areas. The exit of the prisoner's camp and the start of the next area "Upper Daemon camp" is marked by a rebirth fountain. The upper daemon camp is quite small and the exit is roughly in the E direction. However to the N is the cave of Whispers which where you find the "mirror of Psyche" for the Eurydice and Orpheus side quest. Skip the next section if you are not bothered with the side quest. You get the mirror of Psyche after killing the Albino spider boss in the Cave of Whisphers. Teleport back and talk to Eurydice. She will open the gate behind where she was standing to reveal a passage with a mirror at the end. The mirror is a portal to a "small rocky cave". Go to end of the cave and kill the two Cyclops (Brontes and Sterops) to free Orpheus. Orpheus will now follow you out and be reunited with Eurydice. Talk to Orpheus for reward. Side quest: Eurydice and Orpheus: Upper city of Lost Souls: upper city of Lost souls: Reward: Normal: Scroll + 34,000XP Epic: Scroll + 78,000XP Legendary: Scroll + 210,000XP Back to the main quest. The exit has a rebirth fountain and marked by to torches into the Vale of mourning. This area is quite small and the exit is to the south into Erebus. In the vale of mourning (if you have talked to Keuthonymos about the Inner source side quest), there will be a convoy here. Note: if you have not activated the quest then the convoy will not appear. Ambush the convoy and take the Daemon scroll back to Keuthonymos for reward. Side Quest: The inside Source: Upper city of Lost souls: Lower Daemon camp Reward Normal: Relic, 34,000 XP Epic: Relic, 78,000 XP legendary: Relic, 210,000 XP Back to the vale of Mourning, continue until you reach Erebus, which is like a large temple like structure with a stone surface. The area is pretty straight forward, with only one exit right at the far end leading back into the Salt Flats (and a rebirth fountain). One thing of note is that near the beginning of Erebus there is a small set of steps leading to a narrow passage to the Necromanteion. It is easy to miss. Again skip next paragraph if you are skipping the side quests. The Necromanteion is quite small with many rooms. You do not have to kill all the monsters (but it's fun), but instead just kill the Bone Scourge boss, in one of the rooms. Once you killed the boss, a door opens to reveal Pogarge ¡V temple attendant. Talk to him for reward. Side Quest: The Necromanteion: Upper city of Lost souls: The Necromanteion Reward: Normal: scroll, 34,000 XP Epic: scroll, 78,000 XP Legendary: scroll, 210,000 XP The second part of the Salt Flats. Head N to the Far plains. In the Far Plains there is a cave to the N (Deep caverns). In the Deep caverns there is a boss monster guarding an urn. This is for the Dust of a Titan side quest and well worth doing (should be a must, even if you plan on skipping other side quests). Kill the boss and click on Urn to get the Dust of the Titan. Portal back to "Plains of Judgment" and talk to Leda for reward. Side Quest: Dust of a Titan : Upper city of Lost souls: Upper city of Lost souls Reward: Normal: 2 skill points, 34,000XP Epic: 2 skill points, 78,000XP legendary: 2 skill points, 210,000XP The exit to the far plains is E from the cave entrance, following the path to the Dread Path. The following areas have only one exit so I will quickly describe the way. Keep going until you reach the Dread halls, which will then lead back to The Dread Path. The two areas will alternate until you reach a clearing with a rebirth fountain and a portal (tower of judgment), and a merchant. Rest if you wish. Continue along the path into the tower of Judgment. The Tower of judgment is quite nice to look at with a mix of modern yet classical look to it all. The level is quite simple and only one exit on every level; a room with a nice looking rebirth fountain, and a bronze ornate door. Click on ornate bronze door to go down to the fifth domain. OK then next few levels (fifth domain to first domain) are pretty similar, each one maze like with only one exit down to the next domain. Also at the start of each domain is a rebirth fountain. On the fourth domain you should find Canace ¡V serpent queen. Kill her for the venom stone, the second stone to Hades' treasure. And in the first domain, you should find Admetus near the end. Talk to him and he will open the door to the room he is in and as a thank you, the room contains some nice loot. The quest does not end here and Admetus tells you to look for him in Elysium. After the encounter continue. At the end of the first domain, be prepared to face Cerberus. You will find yourself in a room with a gate. Before you open the gate, make sure you are full health, and stocked up on potions. Once you go through the gates, there's no coming out, unless you die or defeat Cerberus. Enter the room, and the door will close. Cerberus is the two headed dog which guards the entrance to Hades. Anyway his main attacks are poison, and also physical. Also the room is filled with cracks that occasionally light up with rays causing aome damage. Since the room is small and Cerberus is fast, magic users will have a harder time. Dodge attacks, run close, slash, run away and repeat seems to be the best option (I have found so far). Kill Cerberus and the opposite doors will open, BTW, don't for get the boss chest in the corner. The next room is the end of the stage hall of Judgment. Talk to Minos ¡V judge of the dead to complete this part of the main quest. He says that when all the Gods left, Hades stayed behind. Now he also wants to rule the living
world. The Judges have been trapped here. Blah, blah, blah¡K.Anyway they open a
portal into Elysium for you. How nice.

Main Quest: Judgment of the Living
Reward:
Normal: Arcane Formula, 32,000XP
Epic: Arcane Formula, 77,000XP
Legendary: Arcane Formula, 205,000XP

Congratulations your are three quarters the way through the expansion.

2.5 Battle for Elysium
-----------------------

Area
	Elysium (rebirth, portal)
	Aetollan Polls
	Perinthean Armory
	Aneslasian battlefield
	Delian Meadows (rebirth)
	Elysium Acropolis (rebirth)
	Achaean pass
	Celestia
	Academy of Sopocles (rebirth)
	Fields of Diadochi (rebirth)
	Philos Plateau
	Eronian highlands (rebirth)
	Argolis (rebirth)

Talk to Tiresias again who is standing/floating around for a main quest
update, and then proceed down to the merchant area. If you look carefully in
the merchant area, you will see a figure (Admetus) standing by the steps.
Talk to him to complete the "Admetus amongst the Dead". He has finally
earned his place amongst the dead heroes for helping you.
Side Quest: Admetus Amongst the Dead: prisoner Camp: Aetolian Polls
Reward:
Normal: 34,000XP
Epic: 78,000XP
Legendary: 210,000XP

After your rest and inventory management, talk to Agamemnon, for main quest
update and he will open the big double doors. You next task is to find
Odysseus who will help you into Hades. Go through the gates.

Keep going in the general direction until you see a bunch of soldiers in a
square area. If you go down the steps you will find the entrance to the
Perinthean Armory which is basically loot and XP. Anyway, back to the
square, talk to Alcinous for the Siege Striders side quest; destroy 5 siege
striders. Also talk to Nestor for the flight of the messenger side quest.
This side quest needs you to escort a messenger to Ajax (across the fields),
the messenger will only follow you on the second time you talk to Nestor. It
is best to clear the battle field first, then come back and talk to Nestor
again so the messenger can be escorted through the cleared battle fields.

Down the steps into the Aneslasian battlefield. There is only one exit which
can be found simply by following the road, leading to the Delian meadows.
This area also has the five siege striders. So destroy all five (and clear
out the area). Then go back to Alcinous for reward.

Side Quest : the Siege Striders : Aetollan Polls: Aetollan Polls
Reward:
Normal: magic scroll, 35,000XP
Epic: magic scroll, 80,000XP
Legendary: magic scroll, 215,000XP

Now talk to Nestor the second time, and a messenger will follow you. You
should be able to escort the messenger safely across the battlefield now, to
the Delian meadows. Once here the messenger will immediately run to Ajax.
Talk to him for reward.

Side Quest : Flight of the messenger: Aetollan Polls : Delian Meadows
Reward:
Normal: magic jewelry, 35,000XP
Epic: magic jewelry, 80,000XP
Legendary: magic jewelry, 215,000XP

Talk to Ajax again will give you another side quest; the Achaean Pass. You
will also need to talk to Idomeneus who is also in the camp. He will give
you some soldiers that you must take to help defend the Achean pass. The
soldiers are of no importance, and you can complete this quest with all the
soldiers dead, but you managing to help defend the Achean pass.
To continue, NE of the rebirth fountain you will find a waterfall and an
entrance on either side leading into the Delian caves. This is just loot and
XP. The exit to this area is NW from the camp, following the road. You will
eventually reach a stairway leading into the Elysium Acropolis. The exit is
right at the top, you know you are there when you see the rebirth fountain.

Go NW to the steps until you reach the Achaean Pass. Talk to Menalaus, and
he will ask you to help defend the pass. Now, a few waves of enemies will
come, destroy them all and talk to Menalaus again for reward. (Note: if you
complete the Achean Pass with soldiers still alive, they continue to follow
you around, until the get killed off).

Side Quest: The Achaean pass: Delian Meadows: Achaean pass
Reward:
Normal: magical weapon, 35,000XP
Epic: magical weapon, 80,000XP
legendary: magical weapon, 215,000XP

The Achaean pass is a small round area with two stone bridges, leading into
Celestia. Celestia is a big area with the Cave of Apollo to the W and Cave
of Artemis to the E. Both caves are for loot and Xp. The exit is straight
forwards to the N. The area ends with a stairway leading to the academy of
Sophocles, which is just a walkway with a rebirth fountain in the middle
leading to the Fields of Diadochi.

The fields of Daidochii seems to be where the main battle is going on, the
battle front is marked by a glowing purple wall which separates the green
fields and the scorched battle ground.

The following areas are hard to describe in words, so basically I will
describe certain areas of interest and what the exits look like (only one
exit each area anyway). You will also seem many wooden platforms which you
can go up. You can go up these but all exits can be accessed without going
up these platforms. Having said this. If you go up the first of these
gangways which you can access (most towers do not have ramps so there are
only certain entry points), and follow it you will end up in a new area
which can only be accessed by this walkway; Philos Plateau. Philos plateau
is just a dead end but you will find the third stone from "Metriche ¡V Empusa
hero". This is the fire gem for Hades' treasury side quest.

OK. In the middle of the Diadochi fields is a rebirth fountain, and the end
is marked by the double torches into the Eronian Highlands. Keep going, and
look out for the rebirth fountain until you reach Argolis. In Argolis you
will meet a band of soldiers. Talk to Menetheus for the "A noisy diversion
side quest". You have to help create a noisy diversion so that Odysseus can
remain undetected near the gate of Hades. After this the soldiers will rush
off. They will most likely be killed, so follow them and kill the Queen
Melinoe. After you killed her, go back and talk to Menetheus for reward.

Side Quest: A Noisy diversion : Argolis : Argolis
Reward:
Normal: 35,00 XP.
Epic: 80,00 XP.
Legendary: 215,00 XP.

Now go E pass the two torches and eventually get to the base where Odysseus
and his men are guarding the secret entrance to Hades.

Talk to Elpenor for the Side Quest Hades' generals. Kill the three master
generals of Hades.
Talk to Eurylochus for side quest Shards of Erebus. It seems Hades uses some
kind of crystal to control his forces in the living world. Destroy all 5
crystals for reward.

Finally talk to Odysseus to conclude this part of the Main quest.

Main Quest: battle for Elyssium
Reward:
Normal: 20,000XP, health and energy restored
Epic: 50,000XP, health and energy restored
Epic: 125,000XP, health and energy restored

Now for the final battle.

2.6 The Immortal throne
------------------------
Areas:	Palace Wall
	Secret passage
	Palace of Hades
	Dark Processional (rebirth)
	The Aldonean Propylon
	Court of Kouloures
	The Winding descent.
	The Prison of Souls.
	Crystalline Stellea
	Royal Chamber
	Throne Room

From the camp travel quickly through the Palace Walls, into the secret
passage and then to the Palace of Hades. Meet Typhon the Undead, just as
nasty, although not as bad as some of the other guys you have met. When you
kill him, remember the loot, and go to the next room.

In the next room you find Persephone, chained up because she would not help
Hades, so free her and talk to get a Main Quest update. She also rewards you
with a scroll and opens the door to Hades' palace. Also there is a portal
here, don't miss it. Proceed down the newly opened doors down to the Dark
Processional and activate the rebirth fountain. Then open the double bronze
doors.
The Aldonean Propylon. This first part has two exits, one in a room to the
NE and the other further along to the NW. The NW has only one Gigantes
guarding it whilst the NE one has four. Both the exits lead to the same
lower area. The lower section is small, and ignoring the other entrance (two
entrances), there is only one exit marked by a Gigantes guarding a circular
portal. Through the portal you will see a rebirth fountain. Go down to the
next area (lowest).

In the lowest area there are two exits, once roughly to the NE, and the
other further along to the NW. The NW passage leads to a dead end room with
a Crystal of Erebus (remember to get the shard when you destroy the
crystal), so it is best to visit here first. The NE exit leads to the Court
of Kouloures.

The Court of Kouloures, is a largest room with the exit right on the other
side. There is a crystal of Erebus in the center of the room. The exit is a
set of bronze doors that leads to the Winding Descent. There is a rebirth
fountain here. This area has two exits, one roughly E and the other S
(relative to the rebirth fountain. The E passage leads to a dead end with
Dysnomion ¡V High general (Hades' Generals side quest), S one is the exit.
Keep following the path and down the steps until you reach the bottom area
with the double bronze doors.

The double bronze doors, opens to steps leading down into the Prison of
Souls. There is a rebirth fountain, and four doors (one entrance, and three
exits). All the exits eventually lead to the same room, which is the room
directly after the door facing the entrance (NW exit). The other two exits
(NE and SW) is the long way; the SW has nothing special and the NE one also
leads to an area with Trophonius (another high general).

As mentioned all the three exits eventually leads to a common room. The
common room has two exits to the NW, both leading to a lower area. However
the one to the left, leads to a another room before going down. This other
room has the final High general (Makarai), kill him to get reward.

Side Quest: Hades' generals : Argolis: Prison of souls
Reward:
Normal: +5% total damage, 45,000XP
Epic: +5% total damage, 90,000XP
Legendary: +5% total damage, 230,000XP

The lower area is the final area of the prison of souls. There is only one
path that will eventually has a side path (main path SE to NW direction,
side path NE direction). To the NE is the Warden of Souls, a real nasty
Gigantes. If you kill him you get the Key to open all the prison cells (you
can back track and free all the souls if you want). The circular portal
behind the warden also leads to a room with another crystal of Erebus.

Back to the junction. Note: almost done, so stocking up on potions now would
be a nice time. Continue along the path to NW, until you reach the end, with
"The night's mistress ¡V Empusa hero". Destroy her/it for the final Soul gem
If you want you can portal back to the "Plains of Judgment" portal (which is
actually in the upper city of lost souls) and complete the "Hades' treasury"
before you face Hades. Just go to the treasury room (in the cave , outside
Upper City of Lost Souls, before the winding steps). Touch the four altars
and the correct gems will be placed. When all four gems are in place, the
treasury doors will open.

Hades' treasury
Reward:
Normal: 100,000XP (+loot)
Epic: 225,000XP (+loot)
Legendary: 600,000XP (+loot)

Back to the main quest. In the area you met Night's Mistress is another set
of double bronze doors. Go through into The Crystalline Stellea. The
crystals will shoot some lightning, which is not very damaging. Continue
into the "Royal Chamber". The Royal Chamber has the final two crystals of
Erebus. Destroy them to get reward.

Side Quest : Crystal of Erebus: Ergonis: Royal Chambers
Reward:
Normal: 35,000XP (and a nice complete Shard of Erebus charm, which usually
has great bonuses)
Epic: 80,000XP (and a nice complete Shard of Erebus charm, which usually has
great bonuses)
Legendary: 215,000XP (and a nice complete Shard of Erebus charm, which
usually has great bonuses)

The next room is the Throne room where you meet Hades. He is quite tough and
has close ranged and long range attacks. Again like all bosses, what for the
attack animations, because some of the attacks are one hit. After you kill
him once, he transforms into a ghost like form, and you have to defeat him
again. This time he has more attacks.

When you finally destroy him (no third time lucky for Hades), Persephone
will appear, and talk to her to complete Titan Quest Immortal Throne.

Main Quest: The Immortal Throne
Reward:
Normal: 32,000XP
Epic: 78,000XP
legendary: 210,000XP

3. New Relics and charms
==========================================================================

These are little stones and stuff that can be used to add enhancements to
your equipment. Only one enhancement can be put onto a single piece of
equipment. Once you enhance a piece of equipment, you can only add the same
enhancement to that item. When it max the enhancement, you may get a bonus.
Note: Bonuses seem to be random (or character level based), so you do not
get the same bonus every time you complete a relic or charm. I have listed
the ones I have found, there may be more. This also means that you should
complete the relic/charm before using, so that you can see the bonus you got
before using it. I have also seen completed relic/charms without bonuses
(boo hoo).

I will list them in alphabetical order, as it is easier to reference; note
that I remove the "the", so "The Valor of Achilles" is under V for Valor.
Relics can be stacked up to three and charms can be stacked to five. The
comp bonus is the bonus you get when you stack to the maximum number.

Note: Only the relics and charms added in the expansion are listed.

4. Monsters
---------------

Monsters in TQIL, come in three forms.
Normal spawned creatures, those you see running around all over the place.
You can ignore these if you wish.
Special creatures. Special creatures that have a name, and not really part
of the quest. They tend to be unique and have special powers e.g.
Polyphemus. You can ignore these if you wish but they normally have high XP
when killed.
Special bosses and minions. These are special unique characters that have
special names and are part of a quest or side quest. If you do not kill
these, you will cannot proceed with main quest or complete a side quest.

Normal monsters, have a type, e.g. Beast, Undead, etc which determines their
type. In addition to the type you will have the creature species, e.g.
Satyr, Centaur. Each species will have a class that determines its mode of
attack (some creatures do not have a class, such as carrion crows). Finally
some have a skill level e.g. Elite, Veteran etc.
Examples:
	Beastman: Dark Satyr - shaman
	Beastman: Dark Satyr - Soldier
Beastman: Dark Satyr - Veteran peltast

Spawn monsters are character level related as well as setting e.g. Greece,
Egypt, Orient, so sometimes it is more difficult and sometimes not. As some
monsters are random, I will describe some monsters roughly in the order you
will meet them. You may encounter them on your journey, or you may not.
Also, in regards to health and attack, both are described relative to the
approximate level you met them, e.g. ratmen have can do some damage to a low
level character, but by the time you met them you damage and defense should
make them easy.

Here are a list of new type in TQIL:
Beasts: General wild creatures; birds, hyenas, boars etc.
Beastmen: Half man half beats; satyrs, centaurs, ratmen etc.
Construct: These are monsters made from inorganic matter e.g.
Automatoi, statues.
Demons: Creatures of the underworld e.g. sprites, orthus etc.
Devices: These are traps, standards etc.
Insectoid: Insect type creatures e.g. spiders, mantids, scorpions etc.
Magical: Mythical characters (and unclassed) monsters e.g. Cyclops
Plant: Plant creatures e.g. Quill Vines, bog dwellers etc.
Undead: Creatures of the spirit realm e.g. skeletons, Liches, wraiths,
zombies etc.

You may find items which allow you to do special damage to specific types of
monsters (e.g. +30% damage to undead), or skills which do the same e.g.
Hunting ¡V Call of the Hunt which give +33% damage to beasts and beastmen.

4.1 A mysterious message
---------------------------

Anouran: Beastmen. These I think are supposed to be toadmen, but look more
menacing, because they look more like giant brains with arms and legs. I
guess they can be described as the satyrs of the expansion, as they are
similar in their types and attacks.

Anteok: beastmen. These are big monsters, and the first monsters which looks
quite different to those in the original TQ. They are like a big neanderthal
with plants as clothing and antlers on their heads.

Ascacophus: plant. This is like the plant version of the Anteok, pretty much
like a moving tree. They have quite a bit of health but are slow. Nice
animation when they die as well.

Krakinos: Beasts. These are giant crabs who pack a nasty pinch.

Lost souls: Undead. One of the new zombie types of TQIL.

NightStalkers: demons. These are like the jackelmen in TQ.

4.2 Medea's Price
------------------

Abyssal Liche: Undead. I think this is the only monster re-used (and not
renamed) in the expansion, although I think it has been upgraded with more
attacks.

Bone Scourge: Undead: This is like a big skeleton of a dog. I guess they
attack much like a Saberlion or Hyena etc. But with upgraded skeleton
graphics.

Formicid: Insectiods. Another of the new type of monsters in TQIL. These are
like scorpus I guess except they look like giant grasshoppers. They have a
variety of types including magic casters and can be quite deadly as they are
quite fast.

Hydradon: Beasts. These look like two headed pink reptiles, should not be
too difficult because they are slow. They drop hydradon hides.

Lamia: Beastmen. These are like a "female" version of the centaurs, a little
more demon like appearance.

Shadow skeletons: Undead . The first of the TQIL skeletons.

Timberhulks: plant. This is a the TQIL version of the bog dweller.

4.3 Road to Hades
-------------------

Empusa: Demons. These are like winged harpies but more demon look as opposed
to the bird look.

Keres: Demons. The next more difficult common monsters mainly fodder like
satrys.

Pale Anourans : Beast men: Upgraded Anourans (toad men/ brain men)

Pale Formicid: Insectiod. Upgraded formicid.

Pale krakinos: Beast: upgraded Krakinos (crabs).

Stygian Hydradon: Beast: Upgraded Hydradon.

Troglodytes : Beastmen: There are bulky monsters, and pretty hard hitting. I
guess they are a cross between Neanderthal and Yerrin. They may be slow but
they are tough and pack a nasty punch.

4.4 Judgment of the living
--------------------------
Albino spiders: insectiods. These are white spiders of TQIL. They has some
kind of communal attack (electric burn?) which is quite interesting. Also
they drop Albino spider webs.

Arch Limos: Demons. New Limos for the expansion. Instead of the simple life
leeching limos, the expansion introduces fire and ice variants. Watch out
for the frost limos as they can slow you down.

Epiales: Demons. These I guess can be best described as defilers in Diablo
II, but for those who have not played it Diablo II, they are like a giant
squid. Anyway they have nasty poison attacks so have your poison resistance
up. Also they drop "tortured souls" charms.

Fury: Beasts. These guys are like giant bats, which also hobble on the
ground. They come in various forms which also means different types deal
different type of damage.

Machae : Demon. These are humanoid in shape, but look real nice close up.
They seem to be wearing some kind of organic armor, with gaps which show
their glowing innards. These guys are fast and quickly overwhelm you.

Melinoe: Demons. There are I guess goat people (and I think they are
female). They are fast and dangerous, much like the Machae, but they are a
few nasty magic user types.

Odontotyrannus: Beast. These are hulking creatures which look like upright
dinosaurs. They aer very slow but can deliver a lot of physical damage.

4.5 battle for Elysium
-----------------------

Seige Striders : device : Giant mechanical devices which looks something
like a 4 legged spider on raised legs (or what ever). They do some nasty
fire damage.

4.6 The Immortal Throne
-----------------------

Gigantes: Magical: These are big heavily armored monsters and some types
have really nasty one shot kills. They are probably the toughest of all the
new monsters.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.3 Dream Mastery Skill Bonuses
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dream mastery seems to be combat orientated with attributes more for
strength than intelligence. However due to the fact that both str and int
are increased by the mastery magic users and non magic users can benefit
from the dream mastery.
The point of view from the skill tree is similar, with skills which boast
total damage as well as pets, benefiting both melee, ranged and magic users.
I think IronLore intended the dream mastery to complete all the other
masteries and also the fighting technique of the character.

5.3.1 Dream Tier 1
-------------------------
Psionic touch ( 12 levels) : active
This is an active skill pretty similar to the calculated strike of the rogue
skill, except that it has benefits to all types of attacks as well as adding
vitality damage. The bonuses are very good but like calculated strike only
every fourth attack has the bonus (3 charge levels). This means that it may
be good early character development, but later on, you will probably find a
better primary attack.
Note: Psionic touch affect total damage, so all damage is increased also, it
does not use energy so it may be an effective secondary attack for magic
users, or even hunting/marksmanship characters, when their energy is low.

Level total damage vitality damage
1 30% 15
2 36% 19
3 42% 23
4 48% 27
5 54% 31
6 60% 36
7 66% 42
8 72% 49
9 78% 57
10 84% 66
11 90% 76
12 98% 87

Distortion wave (12 levels) :Active
This is a nice skill especially for an early melee character and can be a
life saver. The skill in itself is only really useful for the slow effect
which can save your life against mobs. However the disadvantage is that the
energy cost is quite high, but you only need one point in this, because you
do not really need the extra damage if your are melee anyway (better skills
for this in other masteries). This skill gives 50% slow for 4s regardless of
level.
Level energy cost damage
1 36 12
2 40 18
3 44 25
4 48 32
5 52 43
6 56 65
7 60 78
8 64 92
9 68 104
10 72 125

5.3.2 Dream Tier 2
--------------------------

Lucrid Dream( 8 levels) : passive
This is a passive skill which increases you damage, as well as electrical
burn and vitality damage. As usual you need to be dealing this damage in
order for this skill to be effective. In all respects this is more a melee
character skill, and the other skills on this skill tree supports this fact.

Trance of Empathy (12 levels) : Active buffer
This is an aura, and the first of three Trance auras. These are special to
the expansion in the fact only one trance can be active at one time. This is
a low level trance and 12 levels makes this trance less desirable. However
if you are a heavy hitter, then putting points into this may be an early
advantage. This skill saps 1 energy per second and affects enemies in a 12m
radius

Phantom strike (12 levels): active
This is an active skill and early on you will choose between this or Psionic
touch. The damage bonus is very high but so is the energy cost, which makes
this a better secondary attack. Not because it is an active skill, you
cannot use it with another active skill like, the Psionic touch or
Warefare's onslaught etc. To be honest I put one point into this and put
more points in the "Dream stealer" enhancement, and slowly adding it using
it mainly as a boss weakener, (weaken the bosses resistance then bang this
for massive damage).

5.3.3 Dream Tier 3
-------------------------
Premonition( 6 levels) : passive
Requires: Lucrid dream. This skill increase you offense and defense, which
is a problem for dream mastery characters, because this mastery only gives
strength and intelligence bonuses (no dexterity). However for a melee
character which gets dexterity bonuses this is a very good skill you make
you good attacks even better.

Psionic Burn (8 levels): active
This is an enhancement to psionic touch, and again activates once every
fourth hit. This skill will add electrical burn damage as well as damage to
demons. If you are using Psionic touch as your primary attack early on, then
you should put a few points into this skill. It has a radius of 3.5m

Summon Nightmare (16 levels) : Active
Ah the Dream Pet (That did not come out quite right), and this is a pet of
pets (again did not come out right). The nightmare can be compared to the
Spirit's King Liche, in the sense it is not very powerful, but there are
enhancements which allows your nightmare to boost the attributes of all your
other pets. The nightmare is a must if you are a heavy pet summoner. Maybe
one point in this and max out Master mind. You may put a few more points in
this skill just to boost the nightmares health.

Dream Stealer (8 levels) : active
Dream stealer adds a few good enhancements to the "Phantom strike" skill.
This is a better skill to put points in, but if you are not using Phantom
strike much then this is not a priority. This can be a very powerful attack
and really more of a benefit for magic/melee characters or pure melee. (360
arc of attack).

Chaos Resonance (8 levels) :active
This is the enhancement to the distortion wave and requires one point in
Distortion wave to add points to this. As said before Distortion wave adds
the 50% slow which is really a benefit for some characters, this adds the
reduce armor which is even better. I normally have one point in distortion
wave and max out this because it is only six levels.

5.3.4 Dream Tier 4
--------------------------

Distort reality (12 levels) : Active
This is one of those slot active skill where you use it in emergencies to
get out of a tight spot. The high energy cost may be a too much for a melee
character, as there are better skills in other masteries. However this skill
has some very useful attributes such as the stun, and the damage is not too
bad neither, for mid character development, but pretty much useless later
on. It may be useful to put one point in this and put more point in temporal
rift which is more useful. The range is 8m.

11 144 205 150
12 148 225 164

Trance of Convalesence (12 levels) : Active buffer
The second trance and a bit more useful. This is more of a magic user skill,
and can benefit a magic user from the mob attacks rather like the Storm's
Energy shield. It has a 12m radius and requires 100 energy cost.
Level Damage absorption Health regen	Energy regen

12 15% +12.0 +3.2

Hypnotic gaze (8 levels): Active
This is the first enhancement to the "Summon nightmare" skill and obviously
requires at least one point in that skill. All it does is adds a confusion
skill for the nightmare. Nice skill but not a priority
Level energy cost secs of confusion
1 72 3.0
2 74 3.5
3 75 4.0

6 80 5.5
7 82 6.0
8 83 6.5

Distortion field (8 levels) : Passive
This is one of those damage retaliation (thorn) skills. Nice for a melee and
OK for a magic user, but like all thorn skills, it is not a top priority
skill. In harder difficulties, this extra passive can be the difference
between life and death, but early on leave it out. It has a 5% chance of
activation and last for 15 secs.
Level damage absorption damage retaliation
1 18 3
2 21 7
3 24 11

5.3.5 Dream Tier 5
-------------------------

Temporal flux( 6 levels) : passive
Requires: Lucrid dream. The final skill in the Lucrid dream tree, and to be
honest, not as useful as premonition, if you are in real need of speed,
avoid projectiles or slow res, then put it in. My opinion is that this skill
can be left till later, as there are other more useful skills. However at
only six levels and pretty good percentages, a melee character put points at
the small expense of six points.

2 4% 5% 12%

5 10% 12% 24%
6 12% 15% 28%

Psionic Immolation (12 levels) : active
This is the third enhancement to distortion wave, and to be honest at level
5 you would expect better. A 50% damage to demons, although nice, is not
exactly going to make that much difference, and although nice electrical
burn damage, at 12 levels of a level 5 skill it is not worth it. Save the
points for other skills.
Level en cost elec burn over 4

5.3.6 Dream Tier 6
--------------------------

Trance of Wrath (12 levels) : Active buffer
The last of the three trances, and this one is for the melee. However the
stats for this level 6 skill is really not very high. The only real boost is
the reduce resistances and as a melee character you really need some other
form of damage (e.g. bleed, elemental, poison) to really take advantage of
this. However as a melee character this extra aura will the best of the
three auras and it does not hurt to have it on. The aura takes 1 energy per
sec and give 1s of skill disruption.

Mastermind (8 levels) :Active
This is the third enhancement for the summon nightmare skill (and does not
require a point in Hypnotic gaze, only Summon nightmare). This is the skill
that boost damage and health/energy regen for all pets. Max this if you have
lots a few important pets. 50 energy cost and affect 15m

Temporal rift (12 levels) :Active
If you like distort reality you will love this, which is better, well this,
but both are real nice. The energy cost is not high, and is great for
weakening mobs in one shot. The quick cooldown makes this skill a real nice
addition to your arsenal. I put a lot of points in this tree. The skill adds
15% energy drain.
