Town Shops and Field Shops
==========================
Shops are going to be the place where you get most of your basic
supplies. For beginners, it is best if the location of each shop is
memorized. Luckily, shops are marked on the town maps. To access the
map, click the 4 icon that is in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
Weapon shops are marked with a knife symbol. The Armor and Accessory
shops are located in a single building, and are marked on the map by
a body armor symbol. Pharmacies, where you buy medicine, are marked on
the map by a medical cross. Lastly, magic shops are indicated on the map
by a colored dot.
If you are outside of a town but need to buy items, you can look
for the Yagi shops that are located on each field map and dungeon. The
NPC for the Yagi shops look like little horned goblins that wear gas
masks. Yagi shops will be marked on field maps with a gas mask symbol.

Town Introduction
=================
Each town has their own paticular qualities, and it is best
to take note of each of them. In this section, I will give a quick
breakdown of each town, and in certain cases explain how
to access the towns.
[Third Home]
The town you start in when you make a new character. This is
where you will find Snakeman, the NPC who will offer you the
first seven Acts. You will find him at the Virtual Battle, which
is at the western side of the town.
[Shinjuku Babel]
The second town of the game, and the center of the Imagine
world. Get here by going out the east exit of the Suginami(スギナミ)
field map, and then going to the east exit of the Nakano(ナカノ)
field map.
You will find Yamamoto and Central Command here. The door
to Yamamoto is on the second floor of the town, at the north
end. You must have completed the first seven Acts Snakeman
gives you before you can enter the door.
Yamamoto is the NPC that gives you Acts Eight to Sixteen.
[Arcadia]
The home base of the Messians. To reach Arcadia, exit
Shinjuku from the southeast exit and enter the Shibuya field map.
Go to the exit on the south side and you will be in Shinagawa.
Continue south and you will reach Arcadia.
You do not start with the map for Shinagawa and Arcadia. To
aquire them, refer to the subquests "Gaining the Shinagawa field map"
and "Survey of Construction Sites" in my Quest Guide.
You can meet the Messian Leader Yuda here. He's at the
far north end of the town, inside the Cathedral. To gain access
to Yuda's chambers, you must have completed Act Sixteen.
*Features*
Depending on your alignment, you can get a discount or a price-jack
in the stores here. Players that are far on the Law side can get up
to a 10-15% discount, while Chaos players will get a 10-15% price-jack.
Neutral players will only get a 2-5% discount. The percent bonus
also applies to buyback, except the percentage is how much more money
you can sell an item.
People who are members of clans that are based in this town can
get a special Traest Stone from the Homepoint Girl. They can only
get this stone once every twenty-four real-time hours. They also
must talk to the Homepoint Girl each time to get it. It is not
automatically sent to you.
[Souhonzan]
The home base of the Gaians. To reach Souhonzan, exit
Shinjuku from the east exit and enter the Ichigaya field map.
Go to the exit on the southeast side and you will be in Ueno.
Go north and you will reach Souhonzan.
You do not start with the map for Ueno and Souhonzan. To
aquire them, refer to the subquests "Gaining the Ueno field map"
and "Get the Souhonzan Map" in my Quest Guide.
You can meet the Gaian Leader Doukan here. He's at the
far north end of the town, inside Fuu-un Castle. To gain access
to Doukan, you must have completed Act Sixteen.
*Features*
Depending on your alignment, you can get a discount or a price-jack
in the stores here. Players that are far on the Law side can get up
to a 10-15% discount, while Chaos players will get a 10-15% price-jack.
Neutral players will only get a 2-5% discount. The percent bonus

People who are members of clans that are based in this town can
get a special Traest Stone from the Homepoint Girl. They can only
get this stone once every twenty-four real-time hours. They also
must talk to the Homepoint Girl each time to get it. It is not

[Protopia]
Protopia is the former First Home that has been converted
into a haven for Innocents that have acheived counciousness.
Non-Innocents that sympathize with the free Innocents also live here.
To gain access to Protopia, there are a couple of requirements
you must meet. First, you must have completed Act Seven and gotten
a DB License. Next, you must go to Shinjuku and look for an Innocent
with an unusual mask. He is in the northeast area of the town, behind
the terminal. It is the space between a building and the stairs that
lead to the second floor plaza.
Talk to the Innocent several times. When he asks if you see anything
suspicious about him, pick the first or second option and you will be sent
to a homepoint that teleports you to Protopia.
From now on, if you want to go to Protopia, you can just click the
door that the Innocent is standing next to.
*Features*
Depending on your alignment, you can get a discount or a price-jack
in the stores here. Neutral players can get a 5% discount, while players will
get a 5% price-jack. The percent bonus also applies to buyback, except the
percentage is how much more money you can sell an item.

Banks
======
In each town, there is a NPC called the Terminal Girl, or
タミナルガール. She is the NPC that will handle your item bank and devil
bank. The Terminal Girl is always standing in front of a large
tower-like object, so look for that.
When you click on her, the Terminal Girl will give you the
following options:

Normal players only have access to one Item Bank, and cannot
use the Devil Banks. To open up extra Item banks or Devil Banks, a
player must buy Cash Shop tickets in order to rent out the extra
banks.

Repairing Items
===============
As you use your equipment, its durability will decrease. Once
durability hits zero, the paticular piece of equipment will no longer
be usable, and you will not earn any attack or defense modifiers from
it. To make the item usable again, you must repair it. Weapon and armor
shops offer repairs under the 修理する option.
Once under the Repair menu, you can just double-click the item
you want to repair. A confimation window will pop-up, displaying
the cost and the possibility of a perfect repair. Note that
Weapon shops will only repair weapons, and Armor shops will only repair
armor.
As you may already suspect from the paragraph above, there is the
possibility that the maximum durability of an item will decrease when
repaired. The percentage that is displayed in the confirmation window
is the probability that a point of durability will be repaired without
max. durability being lowered. If you want to avoid losing max
durability, I suggest that you regularly repair your items.
Each town has a different rate of success for repairs. The higher
the success rate, the more expensive the repair costs will be. Here
is a list of NPCs and their success rates:

Bazaars
========
As with any MMORPG, you can sell items to other players. For those
who cannot communicate in the Japanese language, it may be best to
use the bazaar system.
You may have noticed empty squares that are placed all around
the towns of this game. These are bazaar stands. For a small opening
fee, you can set up a bazaar for one to three hours. The time limit
and the opening fee depends on the location of the bazaar stand.
"Prime" locations, such as the area by Shinjuku's fountain, have
a opening fee of up to a thousand makka, and have a time limit of
one hour. Bazaar stands that are located in less crowded areas, such
as the Virtual Battle area, cost only one hundred makka and lasts for
three hours. The cost and time will always be mentioned in the confirmation
window that appears when you first click on an empty bazaar.
Once you open a bazaar, you may now choose a bazaar NPC. The NPCs
are only there for aesthetic purposes, so feel free to pick out one
you like. Once you are done, hit 決定.
Your Inventory screen will appear, as will a window with a number pad
on it. That window is the Bazzar Window. Now you must set up your items and
prices. You are allowed up to five items. Click and drag an item you want
to sell to one of the open slots you see at the top of the Bazaar Window.
You will now notice a number will appear below your sale slots .
This is 参考価格, the game's suggested price for the item you just set.
Since the suggested price is not what the actual market value is for
most items, I suggest you ignore this number. Use the number pad to enter
the price you want, and then hit 決定 on the number pad. Now you
can set more items up. Once all your items are set up, you can hit 決定
on your inventory screen.
Note that there is a tax on all items you sell. When you enter a price
for your item, you will notice another number appear right
below 参考価格. This is the 札落手数料, or sales tax.This number
is the actual amount that the bazaar will take from your sales.
Once an item sells, or your bazaar ends, you need to go recover your
money and merchandise. Go into COMM, then select Bazaar Post
(バザーポスト), which is the option at the very bottom of the COMM list. The
Bazaar window will appear and you can take any items or cash by
double-clicking.
I recommend that you do not open the Bazaar Post while the bazaar is
running, since this will cause your bazaar to go into Preparation mode
and players will not be able to see or purchase your items. If you
run back to your bazaar and click it, you will go into Preparation mode, but
will be able to adjust prices and items as you see fit.
Items in the Bazaar post will stay there until you take them out. If
you so wish, you can use the bazaar as extra bank slots.

Stacking and Separating
========================
To stack like items together, go into your ITEM menu and then
hit まとめる. It is at the bottom of the ITEM window.
To separate like items into different stats, highlight the
item and then hit 分ける. This is also at the bottom of the ITEM window.
If you need to just throw something away, hit 捨てる.
