Credits 001-General Information --------------------------------------------------------- This is a walkthrough for the game called Samantha Swift and the Golden Touch. It is the second game in the Samantha Swift series. I made a video walkthrough, available here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL- BD_KjCUmdxrqBOTkXeryUtYerAtRP6t The walkthrough comes complete with audio commentary. 003-Walkthrough --------------------------------------------------------- 003a-Egypt and the Heart of Midas --------------------------------------------------------- Our hero, Samantha Swift, is in Alexandria, Egypt. She hopes to find Alexander the Great's scroll of wealth. Screen 1 -------- Samantha's things have been scattered everywhere. A list of them is on the bottom of the screen. Find all the items and click on them. The location of the items is randomized. For example, the shovel can show up against the left doorway or the right doorway. The list of items you need to find is also randomized, although some items will appear every single time. When you find them, they go into the "tool" area on the bottom/right. Sam's scanner will show what an item looks like. Just click an item on the list, then click the scanner. Not only that, but item shown in the scanner changes color, depending on how close your cursor is to the item. When you've found all eight items, a list of eight more items appears. The final item, Alexander's helmet, is blue. This indicates that you have to solve a small puzzle to find it. In this case, the puzzle is using Samantha's scarf on the hole in the ground, which is to the left. Your cursor turns blue when you move it over this hole, which is the clue that you need to use a tool there. After finding all sixteen items, you have another puzzle. Use the shovel on the dirt, on the right-hand side of the screen. This reveals a chest. Use the monk's key on the chest to open it. When you finish the puzzle, you can go forward, through the open doorway in the center of the screen. This takes you to the next room. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Use horseshoe on the horseshoe which is hanging on the right wall, for a chest. Puzzle 2: Use the pry bar on the steps in the lower/right to get a crank. Puzzle 3: Place the sun disc on the hollow, above door on the right. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the broom on the dust-covered steps for a mask. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the chariot axle to move the coffin, for a Roxana head. Puzzle 2: Zoom in on the far wall. You want to put the four busts onto the four pillars. Each bust weighs a different amount, and you want the busts to line up on a line. This opens the door to the next room. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the ball parts on the golden machine to the right, for a key. Puzzle 2: Use the key on the door. Screen 5 -------- With this screen, the two items you must find are scrolls. You have to revisit screens 2-4, at this point. Every one of them has two scrolls for you to collect. Once you have them all, return to this screen. Puzzle 1: Put all the scrolls on the left side of the sarcophagus. It goes crashing to the left, so you can get a swift symbol and a side board. Puzzle 2: Pick up the scrolls and place them on the right of the sarcophagus, so you can get a side board. Puzzle 3: Place the side board on the coffin. Use the crank on wheel in front of the sarcophagus. Click on the crank to rotate the coffin. Place the side carving on the other side of the coffin to open it and receive the scroll of wealth. Screen 6 -------- Puzzle 1: Pick up the flint and use it on the hole in the lower/right. This lights up the room. Puzzle 2: Pick up the torch and use it on the hole to light it. Use the torch on the bushes to burn them, for a tablet. Screen 7 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the torch on the room to light it. Puzzle 2: Find all the mural parts, then zoom into the mural. This starts a jigsaw puzzle. If you're ever stuck, you can use hints to solve it. Screen 8 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the axe on the trees to cut them down. This gives you logs and a bracelet. Puzzle 2: To build the raft in the lower/left, just put pieces on the board in the correct order. First are logs, then the spears, then the nets, the mast, the scythe, the rope coil, the pulley and the parachute. Screen 7 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the pickaxe on the fallen column to get a crystal vial. Screen 8 -------- Puzzle 1: Put the mirror plate down, and put the crystal vial on top of it. They both go on the side of the boat by the sale. The metal plaque goes on the rudder, on the other end of the boat. Click on the sail to raise it. Screen 9 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the knife on the plants (near the front of the boat) for a papyrus boat. Puzzle 2: Use the chisel on the heart-shaped rock for a heart piece. Screen 10 --------- Puzzle 1: Zoom in on the pedestal for a puzzle. It's a jigsaw puzzle. Put all the heart pieces in place to solve it. Pieces cannot be rotated. When you're done, put the crystal vial of truth in the center. 003b-Turkey and the Vial of Beauty --------------------------------------------------------- Screen 1 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the lantern in the dark entryway for a red crescent. Puzzle 2: Use the ladle on the water jug in the lower/left. Use it on the side of the walkway for a golden fern. Puzzle 3: Use the bread paddle on the bread oven for golden bread. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the bracelet on the statue for a golden goblet. Puzzle 2: Use the hoe on the plants (on the right) for a jewel box. Puzzle 3: Use the pulley on the sunken tile for beads. Puzzle 4: Use the pliers on the thorns (on the lions' paws) for a key. Use the key to open the exit doorway. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Put the roses on the four doorways. Make sure the colors match! This gives you four gold roses. Puzzle 2: Use the four tiaras on the four statues, to open the exit. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use tools to cover up the steamholes, to reveal the hidden items on this screen. Puzzle 2: Use the wheel crank on the hole in the ground, on the right, to open the exit. Screen 5 -------- Puzzle 1: Click on all four spaces. Puzzle 2: Click the four inner spaces. Puzzle 3: Click on the four outermost spaces. Then, click on the four spaces that are one away from a corner. Puzzle 4: Use the staff on the spinning device to open the exit. Screen 6 -------- Puzzle 1: Use grain on the floor to get a dove. Puzzle 2: There are two bowls with fire. Use the tongs on the left bowl and the water bowl on the right bowl. This gives you two gems. Puzzle 3: Rotate flowers, so the four flowers in the corners have the correct colors. The upper/right flower is blue, the lower/right flower is yellow, and so on. 003c-Ethiopia and the Vial of Sustenance --------------------------------------------------------- Screen 1 -------- Puzzle 1: Use catnip on the panther statue for a stamp. Puzzle 2: Use the panther tooth on the plan, then use the shovel on the large rock. Use the panther stamp on the paw imprint by the doorway, to open the exit. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the saw on the roof beam to get rings and a broken beam. Puzzle 2: Use the broken beam on the largest rock for a ring. Puzzle 3: Place the rings under the elephants. You want to make matches, by clicking on the rings. When you click a ring, the eyes of its elephant will glow. Match elephants with the same eye color. When all three pairs are found, the exit opens. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the knife on the vines for an eagle board. Puzzle 2: Zoom in on the board. Move the pieces around to reveal keys and keyholes. You want to find eight keys, and use the eight keys on the eight keyholes. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the brush on the sandpit for a camel. Puzzle 2: Use the top on the rock (in the lower/right) for a horn. Puzzle 3: Use the seal in the lower/left indent for a menorah. Puzzle 4: Use Sheba's scroll on the screen. Click on the five red bricks to reveal the entrance to Solomon's palace. Screen 5 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the spear on the locked box for Solomon's star. Puzzle 2: Use the two stars on the two statues to open the door. Screen 6 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the skull on the crossbones for a crystal vial and a trumpet. Puzzle 2: Use the earring on the locked box to get a crystal ball. Puzzle 3: Use the trumpet on the purple thing in the upper/right to get a golden apple. Puzzle 4: Zoom in on the throne. Move pieces around, so the yellow ones are on the right and the gray ones are on the left. Screen 7 -------- Puzzle 1: Give a milkshake to the man in the blue suit for a briefcase. Screen 8 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the trombone on the piano and the bow on the cello for a hotel key and a pendant. Puzzle 2: Use the sheet music on the piano for a swift symbol. Puzzle 3: Give the briefcase to the bald man for gold wasps. Screen 7 -------- Puzzle 1: Give water to the thirsty man for a coin. Puzzle 2: Give the room key to the man in the trench coat for money. Puzzle 3: Give the dates the monkey for a bracelet. Puzzle 4: Give the money to Nick for an old document. Screen 8 -------- Puzzle 1: Give a coin to the cashier for chips. Use the chips, the number and the ball on the roulette table to win a passport. Puzzle 2: Give the diamond ring to the man with the rose, for a plane ticket. Screen 7 -------- Puzzle 1: Give the plane ticket to the waitress. Puzzle 2: Give the passport to the pilot. 003d-Arizona and the Vial of Stability --------------------------------------------------------- Screen 1 -------- There are no puzzles on this screen. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: The lower/right table is a card game. You click on a card that is one higher, or one lower, than the card in the lower/left. If this is impossible, click on the deck in the lower/left to get a new card. Your goal is to get rid of all three pyramids for three keys. Jokers are wild. Puzzle 2: Use the knife on the cactus for a golden branch. Puzzle 3: Look at the poker table to open the exit. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Use all four items on the generator to light up the area. The funnel must be placed before the fuel. Puzzle 2: Use the pickaxe on the upper/left wall for a fossil. Puzzle 3: Use the rope coil on the hole for a golden branch. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the paddles on the waterwheel. Put the sifter in the area below the waterwheel. Use the lantern in the lower/left for a crank. Use it on the waterwheel. Puzzle 2: Put a minecart, the belt and the hook on the machine in the back. Puzzle 3: Put a minecart by the coal on the left. Use the pickaxe to mine the coal. Click on both carts for a gold nugget. Click on the lower/right cart to send it back to its original position. Repeat the mining process for a miner's pan. Puzzle 4: Zoom in on the steps. Use the miner's pan and shake it left and right, to reveal an item. Do this twice. Screen 5 -------- Puzzle 1: Use a key on the chest for a golden branch and a mason icon. Puzzle 2: Use the knife on the sack for a bellows. Puzzle 3: Use the logs and the bellows on the fire for astrological symbols. Puzzle 4: Use the pipe parts on the pipe for treasure. Puzzle 5: Use the rope on the hook (at the top of the screen) to life up the pot and reveal the exit. Screen 6 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the knife on the tree branch to get Payne's boot and a mason symbol. Puzzle 2: Use the pinecone on the squirrel for a golden cone. Puzzle 3: Use the bee smoker on the beehive for a golden bee. Puzzle 4: Use the shovel near the base of the tree for a chest. Use a key to open it and discover a gold branch. Screen 7 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the key card on the door to open it. Puzzle 2: Put the wheel on the cannon. Put a cannon ball inside and use a ramrod. Click on the cannon to adjust where you're aiming at. Your goal is to hit the mason symbol. Put the lanyard on the cannon and click it to fire. You may have to use more than one cannonball to solve the challenge. Puzzle 3: Use the cross and crown on the rock. Dig with a shovel, in that area, for a chest. Open the chest with a key. Puzzle 4: Put all the branches on the tree to get the vial of stability. 003e-Bahamas and the Vial of Love --------------------------------------------------------- Screen 1 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the shell on the sand on the left, to uncover a knife. Puzzle 2: Use the fishing rod on the upper side of the cliff for a golden spoon. Puzzle 3: Use the pick on the water (in front of the cave on the right) to get a pendant. Puzzle 4: Use the dip net on the water for a message in a bottle. Puzzle 5: Use the knife on the vines to discover the exit. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the grapple on the lower/left area to get an anchor. Puzzle 2: Use the harpoon on the very end of the ship's bow for a necklace. Puzzle 3: Use the whip on the masthead for a medallion. Puzzle 4: Use the bucket in the bottom/middle of the screen, on the walkway. You get a glass eye. Puzzle 5: Use the anchor on the side of the ship for golden links. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the hammer on the barrel in the lower/right for an earring. Puzzle 2: Use the hook on the cannon for a jewel ring. Puzzle 3: Use the knife on the center of the rope to get an oil lamp. Puzzle 4: Put the powder on the chest in the lower/left. Use the pistol on the powder to open the chest. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the sword on the torn curtains for a pirate shirt. Puzzle 2: Use the key on the treasure chest for a telescope. Puzzle 3: Use the telescope on the hole in the center of the desk to reveal the exit. Screen 5 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the mirror on the light to reveal a sword. Puzzle 2: Put the goblet in the elephant's hand. Use the hammer on the barrel above the elephant's hand, in order to get a coin. Puzzle 3: Use the three coins on the chest for a diamond. Puzzle 4: Use the knife on the covered statue to get Midas' daughter, Zoe. 003f-Russia and the Vial of Music --------------------------------------------------------- Screen 1 -------- Puzzle 1: Put the glass by the water machine, and use the felt boot on top of it. This gets you hot water. Puzzle 2: Use the hot water on the red glass case, to get a hook. Puzzle 3: Use the hook in the top/left for a ladder. Puzzle 4: Use the cane on the briefcase for a painting. Puzzle 5: Use the ladder beneath a lit window, to gain entrance to the building. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Pick up all the paintings, and the two vases. Put them in their correct spots. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the acid on the locked box for an egg. Puzzle 2: Use the medal on the indentation on the left, for an egg. Puzzle 3: Zoom in on the safe. Your goal is to move the key's teeth around, so they fit the lock. From top to bottom, the proper order is pink, blue, orange, green and red. This gives you canary eggs. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the cleaning rag on the window for many food items. Puzzle 2: Use the can opener on the sardine can, to get a sardine. Puzzle 3: Use the sardine on the cat for a key. Puzzle 4: Use the matches on the lantern to light up the area with the map. Puzzle 5: Use the key on the mailbox for money. Puzzle 6: Put the money in the man's tip box to reveal the exit. Screen 5 -------- Puzzle 1: Use candy on the ant hill for a golden ant. Puzzle 2: Use the sword on the glowing rock for a dragon. Puzzle 3: Use the pickaxe at the end of the rainbow for a pot of gold. Screen 6 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the wooden stake on the side of the large rock and hammer the stake. Puzzle 2: Click on the topmost board to remove it. Do this many times in a row. Puzzle 3: Make matches until all the tiles are gone. You cannot make a match with a tile that is below another tile. This gives you a tile sequence. Puzzle 4: Click on the rocks, in the order indicated by the tile sequence. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the iron on the letter, on the bulletin board. 003g-India and the Vial of Loyalty --------------------------------------------------------- Screen 1 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the tattered flag on the cannon for a mallet. Puzzle 2: Use the lilacs on the incense jar in the lower/right. Use the mallet on the incense jar for an incense stick. Puzzle 3: Use the incense stick on the burning flag to light it. Then, use the incense stick on the bats to find a statue. Screen 2 -------- Puzzle 1: Zoom in on the chess board for a match-3 puzzle. In this puzzle, move pieces around so you have three of the same color in a row or column. Make matches all over the board until the chess background is gone. Then, bring the queen piece down to the bottom. Puzzle 2: Use the queen piece on the hole to open the door to the lab. Screen 3 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the yellow flask on the left side of the floor for gold dates. Puzzle 2: Use the burner under the test tube to get acid. Puzzle 3: Put the acid on the locked cabinet, in order to get a CD. Puzzle 4: Use the CD on the computer for a golden horse. Screen 4 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the trap on the water for a crab. Puzzle 2: Use the chain glove on the rock for a scorpion. Puzzle 3: Use the machete on the bamboo for a harpoon. Puzzle 4: Use the harpoon on the water to get a fish. Screen 5 -------- Your inventory may get full on this screen. If so, place items to get them out of your inventory. The viewfinders go on the telescope, and the lever goes on the wall. Puzzle 1: Put the tapes on the machine for a bow and arrow. Puzzle 2: Use the hammer on the locked cabinet for scales. Puzzle 3: Look at the telescope. You want to put all the constellations in place for two new constellations. You have unlimited hints for this puzzle. Puzzle 4: Look at the computer and use a constellation here. (Easter egg: type in the password "Mumbo Jumbo"). You want to figure out the puzzle, based on the constellation. Press the keys, in order of smallest star to largest star. This gives you the vial of loyalty. Puzzle 5: Look at the exit door and repeat the computer password puzzle to open it. Screen 6 -------- Puzzle 1: Use the spoon on the test tube for red powder. Puzzle 2: Use the forceps on the test tube to get a gold bug. Puzzle 3: Use the red eyedropper on the apple for a gold apple. Use it on the cheese for gold cheese. Puzzle 4: Use the blue eyedropper on the gold bird for a feather. Use it on fishbowl for a gold fish. Puzzle 5: Time to stop Chess! Use the red eyedropper on the bookcase. Use the blue eyedropper on the lamp. Use the red eyedropper on the balloon, and use the blue eyedropper on the cat.
