The following is a step-by-step walkthrough for Crime Time. It contains minimal plot spoilers, but since it contains solutions to all of the game's puzzles, use this as a last resort. This walkthrough assumes familiarity with all of the game's commands. There are a few steps that can be done in any order, and a few steps and items are optional. This guide will give you a full 300/300 points at the end and you will collect every item. 1.You start with a room key and some money (greenback). Examine the backpack for a headphone and tape recorder. 2.Exit east . Head south. Challenge Mr. Krachov to a game of chess (use the chessboard on him). He'll exit the room. Take the chess magazine. 3.Exit the room and re-enter it. Mr. Krachov will be there again. Show him the magazine. 4.Head downstairs and enter the dining room. Open the kitchen door. Move north. 5.Show Alex the greenback. He'll give you coins and a bottle of wine in exchange. Exit south. 6.Close the kitchen door. Use the coins on the jukebox. Go northeast. 7.Grab the security key. Exit southwest, then west, then south. 8.Use the security key on the door west. Enter west. Grab the flashlight and toolkit. 9.Head east, north, and west, to the shower. Use the toolkit on the shower. At this point you'll automatically be moved to the reception desk. 10.Examine the guest book, the poster, and the carpet. Examining the carpet will reveal a trap door. Do not open it at this time. Return to the first floor shower. 11.The receptionist will have dropped a general key at the first floor shower. This key is used to open most of the doors in the hotel. Go to the hallway east of your bedroom. 12.Use the general key on the door to the southeast. Enter the room. Examine the nightstand for a Walkman and ammunition. 13.Exit northwest. Head one north, one east. Use the general key on the door to the north. 14.Go north. Take the books and the scissors . 15.Go south and then southeast. Activate the shower. At this point you will return to your bedroom and receive a piece of paper. 16.Go east, then north, then east. The door to the east should be locked. Optionally, go to the shower to the southeast for some extra points. If you do, then head back northwest. Use the general key on the door east. 17.Take the sheets. Use the casette on the recorder. Activate the recorder to turn it on. Use the recorder on the bed to place it under the bed. 18.Head west, then west again, then north. Use the general key on the door to the west. 19.Examine the phone. This will give you a phone number, though it doesn't appear as an inventory item. 20.Head east, north, south, and then east. The couple in the dining room won't be there anymore. 21.Head west, north, south, south, and east. Youl'll notice that the recorder is here, with a note attached. 22.Take the recorder. Activate it to turn the power off. Open it to remove the casette. 23.Use the casette on the Walkman. Use the headphones on the Walkman. Then leave it alone for the time being. 24.Head southeast, to the shower. Use the toolkit on the shower to destroy it. You'll be moved to the reception desk again. 25.Use the general key on the door east. Go east. 26.Examine the nightstand. You'll receive a watch and a code for a combination lock. Examine the bed for a watch. 27.Activate the Walkman. Use the Walkman on the phone. (This is where the phone number from earlier comes into play). This allows you to use the trap door at the reception desk. 28.Go west. Use the scissors on the bed sheets to create a rope. Activate the flashlight. Open the trap door. Use the rope on the trap door. 29.You'll be moved to a room underneath the hotel. Take the antenna cable. Activate the rope to head back up. 30.Go east. Take the Walkman. Head west. Close the trap door. 31.Head north twice, then east. You'll find a man named Mr. Fugi. 32.Show Mr. Fugi the bottle of wine. He'll give you a building kit in exchange. 33.Go upstairs, to the hallway east of your bedroom. Use the general key on the door east. Go east. 34.Take the manual. Examine the nightstand, and you'll receive a calculator and an issue of Hustler magazine. 35.Go east, then north. Use the combination on the lock, then go west. 36. This is the scene of the crime. Take the gun. Examine the dead body to find a lighter. 37.Use the lighter on the piece of paper. You'll receive a formula. 38.Use the ammunition on the gun to load it. 39.Use the manual and the building kit together to create a Sender. 40.Head east twice. Use the general key on the room east. The Youngs have left. Head east. 41.Use the toolkit on the phone, then use the sender on the phone. Return to your bedroom. 42.Open the Walkman to remove the headphones and the casette. Use the casette on the recorder, and then use the headphones on the recorder. Activate the recorder. 43.Use the receiver on the recorder. 44.Go east, north, and east twice for the final cutscene.
