Ayanami Raising Project Demo FAQ v. 0.2 Mandoric Last updated 4th August, 2001 Ayanami Raising Project, its demo, the art and sounds, and a lot of other things I wish I could afford property of Gainax, Inc. This FAQ property Mandoric. Feel free to use on any page, provided a) you email notification of use with URL and b) you check the canonical version (available on http://mandoric.hut.ru currently) for updates at least once a month. Contact the author before distribution other than online. 1) Background 2) Ayanami's Room a. layout b. status menu c. talk d. system e. town f. goods g. dress h. schedule (Incomplete) 3) Town 4) Activities 1 > BACKGROUND The player, named 'Toshiki' by default, a new hiree of NERV, is given responsibility of raising Ayanami Rei. You control Toshiki, making decisions about her schedule, items, and leisure time in a way much like Gainax's Princess Maker games. 2 > AYANAMI'S ROOM > a. layout In the upper-left of the screen are two numbers and a set of kanji... The uppermost is the month, the largest is the day, and the kanji denotes the weekday. Note that you always schedule on Sunday, and that at least the demo starts on 2nd April. From the top to bottom on the right, options are Status, Talk, System, Town, Goods, Dress, and Schedule. All of these display English text on mouseover, so... > b. status Here, Ayanami's stats are listed. From top to bottom, they are Physical Strength, Knowledge, Spirit, Affection for Player, (Can't Read), Social Capability, Determination, (Can't Read), Stress, Synchro Rate, and AT Field. > c. talk This lets you talk to Ayanami, a singularly useless function for someone who's using a rudimentary FAQ like this. =p > d. system This tells you to pay Y9220 to Gainax for the full version if you want to save. =p > e. town Takes you to town, which is covered in the next section. > f. goods Lists the items you've purchased. > g. dress Lets you change Ayanami's clothing... I think. She doesn't like me enough to put on anything other than her default seifuku, and that may be hardcoded in the demo. =p 3 > TOWN There are 8 large boxes on the left, and one small box to the right of the uppermost two. In order, the large boxes lead to: SV Dress and Casual Sufia Valet - Sells women's clothing and shoes. Prices range from Y1000 to Y50000. Tsutaya - Sells CDs and books. Y300-Y5000 Creative Life Store Tokyu Hands - Sells gifts, wallpaper, curtains, sheets, carpets, and potted plants. Shopkeeper a dead ringer for Nanami from Suikoden 2. Y1000-Y10000. Big Apple's Diner New York Restaurant - Sells drinks, desserts, and normal dishes. Y500-Y3000. Drug Store Matsumoto Kiyoshi - Sells snack foods and drugs. Y200-Y15000. Animate Anime & Comic Shop - Sells anime/manga goods and cosplay supplies. Almost all items make Ayanami maladjusted to some degree. =p Y500-50000. Park - Gets you in a conversation with random other Eva charas. Movie Ticket Guide - Lists currently playing movies. The one small box returns to Ayanami's apartment. 4 > ITEMS All are listed from left to right, top to bottom, by page, by store.
