Introduction ======================================================================== In this guide I will be showing you Many ways to build a dual weapon Assassin. Now some of you that may have read my other guide on Assassins will point out to me that the perfect dodge assassin is really a dual weapon assassin so to stop people from pointing that out this will be called the "Non-Luck-based- Guides" I started this guide.....because I had no room in my other guide to stuff a couple of more builds in. Well here is the guide. ======================================================================== II. Skills ======================================================================== -------------------- Thief -------------------- As a Thief all types of Assassins should have these ending skills. It is recommended that you get these skills in order. Currently Gravity says that the required job level to become an assassin WILL BE job level 44. IF you want to change at job level 40, leave steal at level 5. Double Slash Level 10 Increase Dodge Level 10 Envenom Level 10 Steal Level 10 Hiding Level 3 Detoxify Level 1 ------------------------------------------- Recovery Assassin ------------------------------------------- These are the skills recommended for a Recovery assassin. You may get them in any order you please. You can waste any remanding skill points on anything you want. Game Guide ======================================================================== Well in this section I will explain where to level ,what weapons you should use, etc. No matter which road you pick you will have to begin the same way. You will begin in the training grounds. If you are new to the game this will teach you many things about the game so you don't act like an idiot while playing. They will put you through many tests and if you answer the questions correctly you will be rewarded. At the end of the training grounds you will take a test which will determine which class suits you the best. If you end up with them recommending you to be a thief you will be teleported to morroc and given extra zenny, but if you get stuck with another class tell them you want to go with your original class which is a thief and tell them to teleport you to Morroc. You are now in Midgard the ragnarok world. This is the equipment/items/zenny they give you at the beginning: 1 Knife 1 Cotton Shirt The items depend on how many questions you answered correctly. Your zenny depends on if they recommended you to be a thief. From now you will begin training. Head to the northern exit which leads to the dessert. In the dessert you will find a couple types of monsters. You will see porings, pickys, Pecco Eggs, and Condors. At the beginning you will have to level on just porings, pecco eggs, and the occasional picky. When your HP gets low just use a healing item or wait until your HP recharges. Once you are base level 6 you should be able to kill Condors. Keep on killing these monsters until you are job level 10. When you are job level 10 head back into Morroc and then go to the north western exit which will lead you to a dessert with a fountain and pyramids. Prepare your healing items because it will be the toughest run of your life so far. Don't even bother attacking any monsters in here, you will just get killed. Walk into the pyramid and try to stick to people that are stronger than you. Walk through the maze until you find stairs that lead down. If you are in the right place you should be in a hallway. Go straight down the hallway and a NPC should be behind a counter. Talk to the NPC and he will send you out on a quest. You now exit the pyramid and head to the fountain outside. There should be another NPC waiting for you that will let you into a dungeon. Now you must collect a semi-rare mushroom. This shouldn't take more than a while but beware, there are aggressive monsters there. Once you finish you should become a thief. Now walk into Morroc and take the northern exit. You must now make a journey to Prontera. If you have lots of zenny you can just buy a warp but if you don't you'll have to walk through the dessert. I recommend you walk through the dessert, it’s a good way to get EXP. Once you are in Prontera you can sell what you have collected in monster drops and you should have enough zenny to buy a Cutter or Main Gauche. After you are done selling/buying head to the building in the northwest part of town. There you must sign up in a mission to kill the monsters in prontera's sewers. After you sign up you will be teleported to the dungeon. Once inside try killing thief bugs that are alone and eventually Tarou's and bats. Do not attack groups of thief bugs because they may all decide to attack in a group. --------------------------------------------------- By Base lv.20 --------------------------------------------------- You should go to culverts level 2 and kill anything that you can see. If you are lucky you will be able to find Blades which you can either use or just sell for money. Try to stay away from big groups of people because they will only bring lag. Always leave atleast 1 jellopy on the ground to attract monsters. The culverts is also a very good place to get loot because some thief bugs are loaded from other people. If you get lucky you'll get a thief bug card which you might need depending on your build. If you gather too many thief bugs and you attack there is a chance that they will all gang on you at the same time so carry a couple of pots or carrots. Try your best not to get mobbed by a bunch of bugs. --------------------------------------------------- Base Lv.35 --------------------------------------------------- You should now leave the culverts and go to Prontera to sell your earnings. At this point you should have enough to buy a Stilleto from a discount merchant. If you have any extra money buy save it armor is not important now. After that do not buy ANY armor...you won't be needing it. After you buy a stilleto you will now make a journey to the closest upgrade NPC. There are upgrade NPCs in Prontera, Payon and Morroc. Once in one of those places head for the Merchant Guild. Here you will have to pay to upgrade your stilleto. Upgrade your Stilleto until you get it to +7. Once you are done upgrading leave. Keep in mind there's a chance of failure past +7. Now you will have to walk to Geffen. If you still have any money left warp but it isn't a very long walk. Once in Geffen go to the eastern exit and then on the next map go to northern exit. You will now be in a map with Squirrels and Snails (Cocos and Ambermites). Fight here until you are Base Lv.40. The cocos give decent drops so try to fight more of them as you get stronger. --------------------------------------------------- Base Lv.40 --------------------------------------------------- You can go one map east of the map with Cocos and Ambermites to fight Horns. By fighting here you will get more money and rares because Horns have a good chance of dropping valuable items. With the money each type of Assassin should gather the money necessary for some of their equipment. The horns WILL hit you always carry pots here. There are Cocos, Horns, and Lunatics in this map. From what I've seen the Lunatics here have a high percentage of dropping Pierrot Noses( In 1 hour I found 3 of them). The exp may seem slow but its better than wandering around and wasting time trying to find a decent leveling place for your level(which you won't). --------------------------------------------------- Base Lv.45 --------------------------------------------------- Now this is where the types of Assassins split ------------------------------------------- Recovery Assassin ------------------------------------------- A Recovery assassin should now stay in the horn map selling all the loot for zenny until they reach the job level required to be an assassin. If you have followed my guideline for stats you should be able to handle some Orc Zombies with the help of pots. YOu will gain more profit if you stay on the Horn map. If you feel like you want to level though this fast head for Orc Dungeon with some red pots(200+). ------------------------------------------- Barbaric Assassin ------------------------------------------- A Barbaric assassin should now stay in the horn map selling all the loot for zenny until they reach the job level required to be an assassin. Before you become an Assassin you should have enough money to a 2-slot Tsurugi. if you feel that your leveling is slow try fighting in Bibiland 2. ------------------------------------------- Elemental Assassin ------------------------------------------- An elemental Assassin should be gathering the materials necessary to create his elemental stilletos. You will need to have your own blacksmith or have someone in your party/guild that can forge the weapons for you so you do not end up broke paying other blacksmiths. The best place to level an elemental Assassin is in Bibiland 2. If you already have some elemental weapons you should fight the monsters that they are good against. --------------------------------------------------- Base Lv.65 --------------------------------------------------- At this point all builds should be Assassins. ------------------------------------------- Recovery Assassin ------------------------------------------- You will have start off fighting with Damascuses or Gladiuses. You should most of your time looking for you equipment and Oridecons to upgrade your future weapons. You will have to spend quite some time fighting Hunterflies to get their cards and BOTH of your 2 slot Damascuses. If you already have your equipment the best place to level would be in Orc Dungeon. ------------------------------------------- Barbaric Assassin ------------------------------------------- You should now have 1 2-slot Tsurugi equipped. As substitute while you try to get your other Tsurugi you can buy one from an NPC. You will have to hunt sidewinders both for their cards and your 2-slot Tsurugi. If you see anyone selling the cards or Tsurugi; buy them. If you already have your equipment the best place to level would be in Orc Dungeon. ------------------------------------------- Elemental Assassin ------------------------------------------- By now you should have a couple of the elemental +8 stilletos that you need. You will have to continue getting the materials until you have a complete set of elemental +8 stilletos ready to use. If you already have your equipment go fight monsters that are weak to your stilletos. --------------------------------------------------- Base Lv.75 --------------------------------------------------- At this point all of the builds should have all of their weapons ready. ------------------------------------------- Recovery Assassin ------------------------------------------- You will have to find a thief clothe by fighting mummies down in the Pyramids. From this time on(if you haven't already), you should be buying all of the cards and armor that you need to become the ultimate Recovery Assassin. The Clips can be found through Old Blue Boxes which are dropped by monsters in the sphinx and the mini-boss Dragonfly also drops them. You should fight Mukas in the desserts close to Morroc for you Muka card and you should fight the Yoyos of yoyo forest to get your yoyo card. If you do not find a slotted mantle you can just use a slotted Muffler. You will need lots of zenny to buy some of your equipment. ------------------------------------------- Barbaric Assassin ------------------------------------------- You will have to find a thief clothe by fighting mummies down in the Pyramids. From this time on(if you haven't already), you should be buying all of the cards and armor that you need to become the ultimate Recovery Assassin. The Clips can be found through Old Blue Boxes which are dropped by monsters in the sphinx and the mini-boss Dragonfly also drops them. You should fight Mantises (which I don't know where they spawn at this moment) so you should just ask around or look around by yourself. If you do not find a slotted mantle you can just use a slotted Muffler. You will need lots of zenny to buy some of your equipment. ------------------------------------------- Elemental Assassin ------------------------------------------- You will have to find a thief clothe by fighting mummies down in the Pyramids. From this time on(if you haven't already), you should be buying all of the cards and armor that you need to become the ultimate Recovery Assassin. The Clips can be found through Old Blue Boxes which are dropped by monsters in the sphinx and the mini-boss Dragonfly also drops them. You should fight Yoyos in yoyo forest to get your Yoyo cards. If you do not find a slotted mantle you can just use a slotted Muffler. You will need lots of zenny to buy some of your equipment. --------------------------------------------------- Base Lv.80 --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- Recovery Assassin ------------------------------------------- Now is the time to celebrate! By now you should have ALL of your equipment and you should be an Immortal monster. It is nearly impossible for you to die and you will be a PVP god. If you get killed you should be ashamed of yourself! Because with those weapons you'll never have to sit down or use a healing item ever again. ------------------------------------------- Barbaric Assassin ------------------------------------------- Like other builds you should now be happy and jumping up and down from joy. You are a large, high defense monster killer. Your attack speed may not be that good but you make it up by showing your superior damage. You now have the best damage for a non-elemental melee class. ------------------------------------------- Elemental Assassin ------------------------------------------- You should now have a complete set of elemental +8 stilletos. You can now basically go anywhere you want and simply destroy every monster. You do the most damage for a melee-class fighter. You should be proud because you probably spent millions of zenny on this build. ======================================================================== V.
