When the game starts, you will see a stage with a trap (later levels will have more traps). Rats will start to come out of door at the beginning of the stage. What you have to do is form the rats into poker hands in order for them to get out. With the traps, you can capture the rats and release them later. Only one rat can be captured per trap. At the end of the stage, you will see several gray pieces of floor. The rats will pause if there is a chance to make a hand. If a hand cannot be made, then the rat will move on. Once a hand is made, the front-most gray panel will open and the hand of rats will go through and exit the level through another door. This door will have a number on it, and it will decrease by one each time A rat (not a hand of rats) goes through it. Once it reaches 0, you can go on to the next level. However, look at the screen on the right to check which hands can be made. The game will end when there is no room left for new rats to come out (or, as one review put it, infested with rats). ================================================ Hands of Rats ================================================ -Three in a Row: Very simple. Get three Rats of the same color in a row. Yields 5 points. -Four in a Row: Also simple. Get four Rats of the same color in a row. Yields 25 points. -Five in a Row: Get five rats of the same color in a row. Yields 125 points. -Two Sets of Three in a Row: Do the exact same thing with Three in a Row, but make sure that they are right next to each other. Yields 150 points. -Six-Colored Rainbow: Get six different colored rats in a very specific order in a row. Yields 400 points. The acceptable orders are: R, O, Y, G, LB, B O, Y, G, LB, B, R Y, G, LB, B, R, O G, LB, B, R, O, Y LB, B, R, O, Y, G B, R, O, Y, G, LB -A Set of Four in a Row and a Set of Three in a Row Do the exact same thing with Four in a Row with a Three in a Row followed IMMEDIATELY afterwards. This yields 2500 points. ================================================ Other Effects ================================================ Traps: These capture the rat that is on it, and then release them later. To capture/release a rat, press the Spacebar. Push 'TAB' to change which trap is active. Arms: These effect the amount of rats that can be held in a trap. To move the arms around, push the arrow keys. White Rats: These rats are wild and can be used in place of any colored rat. More than one can be used at a time. Gray Rats: They prevent the next three rats from exiting. Otherwise, they are like any other rat. Plus (+) Rats: These rats double the points of a hand. They look like ordinary rats carrying a (+) sign. Minus (-) Rats: These rats halve the points of a hand. They look like ordinary rats carrying a (-) sign. ================================================ Level Guide ================================================ There really is no strategy, it's all pure luck.
