The difference between the species is aesthetic and narrative. Depending on your choice, some of the game's text changes, including the descriptions in the BOOKLET item and parts of the ending sequence. *Every 10 EXPERIENCE increases your LEVEL by 1, and there is 110 total EXPERIENCE. Each of the 5 pieces of EQUIPMENT you can find also increases your LEVEL, as does recruiting Roboforce as your ally. By defeating every enemy, finding all the EQUIPMENT, and recruiting Roboforce, you can have a maximum LEVEL of 17. *Earn a perfect score by collecting 70 PARTS. (SPECIAL ITEMS) *The DIAGRAM is received from Your Government's assistant in the underworld. It displays a list of all PARTS. *The BOOKLET is received from a tourist advisor atop The Wall on the surface. It provides background for the area of the planet you are in. *The BEACON is found in a purple barrel in The Grove on the surface. It teleports you back to your ship. (EQUIPMENT) *The PISTOL is found in The Desert. The Desert's center contains some pillars surrounded by skull-shaped walls. One set of pillars looks different from the others and contains a switch. The switch reveals a chest containing the PISTOL. *The BLADE is found on The Wall. Speak with the dying robot on The Wall and he reveals that his mother is a psychotic murderer. She then appears on The Wall, but is partially invisible. She is LEVEL 3. Defeat her to earn the BLADE. *The ARMOR is found in The Cemetery, hidden inside a grave. Examine certain gravestones to learn clues about its whereabouts. *The CLOAK is found underground in the crypt/pyramid. In one of the western chambers is a purple sarcophagus with the CLOAK inside. You must navigate the maze of one-way chutes first. *The HELMET is found underground near the river. There is an island accessible from the west side of the garden area. On the island is a robot. If you have 100 or more EXPERIENCE he will give you the HELMET. (PARTS LIST) This list includes all 70 PARTS with clues about their location. (PARTS FAQ) Below are some explicit directions to find the most difficult PARTS. *ALARM: East of The Desert is a blue building with machines inside. One of these machines is a radar console. Before you can use it, the radar must be powered on. Touch the power generator immediately north of the building. The radar console gives 3 sets of XY coordinates which refer to specific spots in The Desert. The ALARM is hidden in the ground at one of these. To locate these coordinates, refer to the blue totem-like markers on The Desert's north and west edges. These markers provide XY coordinates that will help you triangulate the position of the ALARM. For instance, one of coorinates provided by the radar console is 4, 12. To reach it, you must walk 4 steps south and 12 steps east from the northwest corner of The Desert. The totem-like markers on The Desert's edge provide their own XY coordinates to help you orient yourself. *COUPLER: In The Grove is a crate of garbage. Its gross contents repulse you if you interact with it, but keep trying. You will eventually reach the bottom and find the COUPLER. *DRIVE/TUBE: The Desert's northern area is littered with red boulders. Look carefully and you may notice that some are marked with tiny arrows pointing north, east, south, or west. Follow these arrows in a straight path between the marked rocks. You will be directed in a circuitous path through the area. On this invisible path are hidden items, including the DRIVE and TUBE. *FREEZER: Underground are two purple walls marked with the number 2. One will slide if you push it. Move the wall slowly westward until it is adjacent to the second number 2 wall and you will receive the JUNK item BLOCK. Now go to the surface. On The Desert's western edge is another purple wall marked with a 2. With the BLOCK in your inventory, approach the wall and interact with it to receive the FREEZER. *CODE: Getfind the Treasure Hunter is an NPC whose position rotates every 15 minutes. When the game's minute timer is between 31 and 45, he appears on The Isles. Interact with him there to receive the CODE. *CYCLER: After discovering all 5 Xs with the SCANNER, return it to its owner to receive the CYCLER. He is in the house north of The Grove. *WAND/BATTERY: In the garden south of Capital Town are two invincible robots guarding chests containing the WAND and BATTERY. To disable the robots, find two yellow power generators in the garden and deactivate them. One is found near the staircase. The other is concealed under foliage in the northern part of the garden. *CHART/RETICLE/JACK: Speak with the Palsink, Dropbulge, and Holdbox in Capital Town. In order to receive the PART each holds, you must be the same species as them. To change your species, interact with the red orb-like machine in the garden south of Capital Town. *GUIDE: In Capital Town is a creature who you can recruit to follow you. He occasionally finds items hidden on the ground. All of these are JUNK but the GUIDE, which is found on the bridge west of Capital Town. *LENS: Speak with the soothsayer in Capital Town when the game's minute timer is between 30 and 39. You will then find the LENS on the ground when you leave the hut. *VOX: West of the underground river is a broken vending machine which ejects random items. Most of them are JUNK, but eventually you will receive the VOX. *ULTRON: Purchase the ION from the TICKET redemption machine. When you walk adjacent to your ship with the ION in your inventory, it will transform into the ULTRON. (GENERAL FAQ) *QUESTION: I am LEVEL 0 and all of the enemies are too tough. Where can I earn enough EXPERIENCE to reach the next LEVEL? ANSWER: There are more than enough LEVEL 0 enemies to reach LEVEL 1, but they are spread across the world. An easier solution is to find EQUIPMENT to give your LEVELS a boost. Directions to locate the PISTOL, CLOAK, and ARMOR are in an earlier section of this FAQ. *QUESTION: What is the significance of Getfind the Treasure Hunter and the Liebards. ANSWER: The Liebards' songs are filled with misinformation and should be ignored. However, Getfind the Treasure Hunter gives you a PART under certain circumstances. Refer to an earlier section of this FAQ for instructions to find the CODE. *QUESTION: I found all the PARTS but I do not have all 110 EXPERIENCE. What enemies have I missed? ANSWER: Here are the locations of some easily missed enemies. In The Desert's northwestern section is a red boulder with a moving mouth. Interact with it and it will attack. In The Isles is a sign warning of the Ultramite. Enter the circle of pillars south of this sign and the Ultramite will attack. The Desert's invisible maze contains 2 invisible enemies. The underground dark house contains 2 invisible enemies. In the garden south of Capital Town are 8 enemies hiding in the foliage. They only appear if you walk adjacent to them. All of them are in dead ends so walk into every cove in the garden.
