===================================DISCLAIMER================================== I have decided not to allow websites other than Gamefaqs (www.gamefaqs.com), IGN (faqs.ign.com) & Gamespot (www.gamespot.com) to host my FAQs from now on. Please don't ask, because I will not grant permission. It's just that too many sites don't keep their version of my FAQ up to date which makes for a lot of hassle in my mailbox. So if anyone sees this FAQ on any site other than those mentioned above, please let me know and I will take care of the situation, thanks. Just to make things crystal clear for some people, this FAQ is not to appear anywhere at the following URLs: http://www.cheatcc.com http://www.cheatindex.com This document Copyright 2004,2017 Daniel Engel =============================================================================== Freedom Fighters! However with a second player it becomes a whole lot more fun, and not in the usual cooperative way that you'd think. I was pleasantly surprised by this game, and hopefully you'll enjoy it too if you decide to try it. ############################################################################### (C) CONTROLS ############################################################################### The controls for this game are as follows: Up/Down/Left/Right - Moves your space ship in these directions. Fire - Fires a horizontal laser. You can also use the second controller to move your ship left and right through space, instead of simply moving it around the screen where you start the game. ############################################################################### (D) ENEMIES ############################################################################### Bricklayer J. Gastronomy ================ Spores [1 Point] ================ These small white enemies are your most basic threat. They basically travel in a straight line in whatever direction they were launched originally. They disappear after a few seconds or if they hit you. ================ Ships [5 Points] ================ These brown enemy ships fire spores at you while moving in a wide circular motion. They flicker between being the size of a spore and being a larger star-looking object. ====================== Hostages [0/20 Points] ====================== These weird pink crafts hold hostages inside them. Naturally if you shoot them and kill the hostages inside you get ZERO points. However if you instead crash your ship into the craft the screen flashes and you get 20 points! ############################################################################### (E) TIPS ############################################################################### Hold down the fire button for rapid fire (and to give your hand less stress). Ships are much easier to hit when they take on the star form. Always rescue hostages if possible, because it will make a HUGE difference in your score. Play with two players for an even cooler gaming experience [see below] ############################################################################### (F) ADVANCED TECHNIQUES ############################################################################### Move your ship to whichever area of the screen has the most empty space, then face the enemies and move vertically while firing. Move your craft when your safety zone is threatened, then repeat the process. If you have a second player you can add a whole other dimension to the game. Basically player one controls the movement of your ship on the screen and fires at enemies. Player two on the other hand can make the ship fly left or right to new areas of space [the screen scrolls] instead of just staying on the starting screen. This means that if you see a hostage on the left edge of the screen that disappears all of a sudden you can fly left through space and catch up to them! The game keeps track of your points until you die and then displays that high score as you keep trying to beat it. Otherwise there's not a whole lot to the game, but it's still a lot of fun. ############################################################################### (G) EXPERIMENTAL ############################################################################### For a little while now I've had a paypal link in all my FAQs at the very bottom here. Mainly as a small experiment since a few other FAQ authors have also had the same idea. I had a few people email me before I put this link in because they wanted to send money, so it's here for those people. For the record I've received about $87 (which works out to a bit more in Canadian lol) last I checked, so I've been getting cases of pop and making some excellent progress on a few FAQs. If you don't want to send money or can't then send me an email, it's nice to hear what people thought about my work and there's always room for improvement. My email address and paypal address for those that want to contribute are both dan.engel.2017 (AT) gmail (DOT) com Many thanks, and I hope you continue to use my work! ~Dan
