Luckily, Dr. Cinnimon has created a hero that can stop him. Rikkuru! Can he save the princess, by traveling through all of Wai Wai world?? ========================================== ++Gameplay: The gameplay of Wai Wai World 2 varies from level to level. In most of the levels, it's a sidescrolling shooter. You control Rikkuru, who can jump and shoot enemies. If you collect the (C) item, you can transform into one of three characters (whom you choose in the beginning of the game). To transform into them, you press Up+(A), and you will be that character for 60 seconds (and longer, if you collect health packs). Also, transformed characters don't have a health meter, but when you take damage, your time meter drops. Other times, you are in a 2D shooter, like the game Gradius. The rest of the gameplay varies from racing cars, to puzzles, with tons of mini-games in between. ========================================== ++Controls: (A): Jump (B): Shoot (Start): Pause (Select): n/a Advanced: Up+Jump: Change characters (when you get a C power-up) ========================================== ++Characters: +Rikkuru: Rikkuru is the main character. You'll probubly have to use him alot, so get used to him. His shot is rather weak, and has poor range, but he does have a double jump (press jump twice) which will help you a lot. +Fuuma: This guy is pretty good. He has the strongest attack in the game, but since he uses a sword, his range is horrible. This does not mean he is unusable. He's still a great character. He also has a wonderful ability that only Bill does not have.. When you hold the (B) button, Fuuma will start to glow, and when you let go, all enemies on the screen will be destroyed. This can only be done once per stage, however. Also on his home stage (Hell), Fuuma has the ability to break skulls on the ground, and break through certain stone walls, making his level much easier. +Goemon: Goemon is a very good character to use. His jump is average. His attack involves throwing his pipe, which boomerangs back to him, doing damage both ways. The fact that he can throw up to two pipes at one time makes him a good character to use. Also, when you hold the (B) button, Simon will start to glow, and when you let go, all enemies on the screen will be destroyed. This can only be done once per stage. +Upa: Upa is the most under-rated in the game, because hes just a baby who attacks with a rattle. One special ability he has, though, will make him important to you. When Upa kills an enemy, they turn into a cloud, which Upa can then jump onto, and stay safe. When you use Upa, your main strategy is to avoid all enemies, and he makes this very easy. Upa also has bonuses when you use him on his own stage. Also, when you hold the (B) button, Upa will start to glow, and when you let go, all enemies on the screen will be destroyed. Upa can do this twice per stage, however. +Simon: Simon Belmont is another decent character to use. His jump is average, but his attack, a whip, may seem weak, but the fact that it can take out more than one enemy at a time will save your life, when you're being smothered by a horde of enemies. Also, when you hold the (B) button, Simon will start to glow, and when you let go, all enemies on the screen will be destroyed. This can only be done once per stage. +Bill: Bill is probubly the best character in the game to use. He possess the ability to shoot in any direction, which will make him a godsend for any boss battle, and makes him the scourge of all flying enemies. If you choose Bill, you'll probubly find yourself using him all the time. ========================================== ++Items: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Name_________________Description_________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Angel | Collect 9 of these, to get one life | Super Angel: | Gain one life | Health Pack: | Gain more time while being a character | Character (C) | Get this item, to be able to change | characters | M Star | Collect this item, to gain temporary | invulnurability ________________________________________________ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++[Walkthrough]+++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ========================================== +World One: Rikkuru's Stage: Parsley City "Rikkuru's Adventure Begins!" =Act One: Parsley City: You'll start in a futuristic city. you should know the controls by now, from reading this FAQ, so now you just need to get used to them. You'll encounter Green Devils, Pink Tanks, and Pink Frogs. They should be easy to handle. Just keep going forward in the stage. You'll go through an elevator, and eventually, you'll reach the end of the ground, and you'll continue onto Act Two. =Act Two: Skies over Parsley City: The gameplay changes alittle now. Pressing (A) will make you fire right, and pressing (B) will make you fire.left. Enemies will be a tad tougher to avoid, but it shouldn't be too hard. When you start to see a huge red ship in the distance, you know you're near the end of this act. =Act Three: Mothership: This is about the same as Act one, but just some new enemies, such as Pinkbots, Grenadiers, and Yellow Spiders. It shouldn't be much more difficult, really. Just keep going, through 3 or 4 elevators, and more level, through some electric fields and jet boosters (just go under them, when all is clear) and eventually, you'll meet.. BOSS: Battleship: This is the first boss you'll meet, and he's deffinitly the easiest. Just keep shooting at him, and avoid the cannon fodder, and eventually, he'll explode. This boss is easier yet, if you use Bill, since he can shoot upward. ========================================== +World Two: Goemon's Stage: Ancient Edo "Old Edo in Uproar!!!" =Act One: Edo rooftops. This level is alittle more difficult than the first one, with new enemies, harder level layout, and moving platforms. This stage is based on Edo, from the Ganbare Goemon series. There are there bouncing Kabuki enemies here. they can be a pain, especially if you're not using a character with a firearm, so stay away from Simon, and Fuuma. This level contains multi-platforms, so to move down to a platform below you, hold down, and press the jump button, and you'll slip down. this will save your life in this stage. There is also the helicopter-samurai enemies, who fly at the top of the stage, and drop swords vertically, but should be easy to take down, with Bill. Keep going to the end of the act (it's short) and on to... =Act Two: Edo outskirts. This is alittle tougher. Now, we have ballet-sumo wrestlers, who hover-piroette toward you, until they fall off the screen, and these strange men in red robes, who throw flowers at you (but they don't jump). This stage is a tad tougher, because its basicly on stilts, abover water, so you have to be careful not to fall off, or you'll lose a life. Theres the new addition of jumper-boards, which makes things more of a balancing act. don't go too fast, or you'll mess up easily here. Navigate through this level, and near the end you'll reach... BOSS: Pogo-Samurai: This little pudgy guy will put up quite a fight. The arena has three platforms and your enemy is a short little samurai on a pogo stick. What he does is bounce around on his pogo-stick, and then slash at you with his sword. His sword, however, is not the threat. The fat guy himself is the threat, because his bounces will more than often land right on your face. Your best chance is to use Bill, and go to a platform below him, and shoot up. He'll take a while to wear down, but eventually, you'll kill him. now..you'll have 2 choices. only one can be chosen. First, we'll cover Donbun Island, and then RPG Isle ========================================== +World Three: Twinbee's Stage: Donbun Island "The Flying Ricebowl" This game is based on the Twinbee series. Instead of the usual side-scroller, this level is completely in the 2D shooter format, ala Gradius. =Act One: 2D Shooter. This stage is in the classic 2D shooter format. (A) shoots bullets, and (B) drops bombs on the ground. Your ship, Twinbee, shoots bullets at enemies flying toward you. You'll first encounter Beef Bowls, Chicks, Pork Bowls, Chinese Cleavers, Chicken Bowls, Eggs, and Fried Prawns. (see a theme?) Watch out for the enemies on the ground, who shoot at you. Kill them with bombs. Anyway toward the end, you'll encounter... BOSS: Mystery bowl: This guy is a rascal. He'll kill you in one hit, so the trick is to get his pattern down. He'll fly in a circle, and then peek out, and shoot a storm of uzumaki naruto at you, which is a pain to dodge. You can only shoot him at this time, so good luck You'll need alot of luck and skill on this one. =Act Two: 3D Shooter. You can now move in three dimensions. this is a sad excuse for a level. just keep going, and eventually, it'll tell you you completed the level. At the end Konami man will trade you 1 angel for every 2 apple, bell, and cherry. ========================================== +World Three: Twinbee's Stage: RPG Isle "A Twinbee sidestory?!" This game is based on the Twinbee series. You'll first encounter little Whisps, Moth Dragons, Skulls, Scimitars, Red Dragons, Chicken Bowls, and Fried Prawns. Soon, you'll get to.. BOSS: Grand Dragon: This guy is pretty easy. Aim for his head, and watch out for the fireballs, and his neck lunges. He'll explode soon, and... =Act Two: 3D Shooter. You can now move in three dimensions. this is a sad excuse for a level. just keep going, and eventually, it'll tell you you completed the level. At the end Konami man will trade you 1 angel for ever 2 apple, bell, and cherry. ========================================== +World Four: Bill's Stage: Jungle "This time, it's Contra!!!" These levels are nearly ripped right out of the Contra series. You'll face parodies of the enemies you'd face in that game, as is the style in this game. =Act one: Jungle: This is a lot harder than the previous levels. Some enemies are both tougher, and can shoot in all directions. You'll first face regular soldiers that shoot rifles at you. They take about 2 hits, with the main character. Of course, Bill is your best bet here, since it is his level. You'll also face Roller-Skate Soldiers, Gun Emplacements, Aliens, and Robots. Manuver your way through, and soon enough, you'll reach... BOSS: Alien Boss: This guy's attack are tough, but you'll take him down soon. He shoots out bullets, and smaller aliens, which explode when they hit you. Use your best judgment. ========================================== +World Five: Upa's Stage: Sweet World "No more diets for me!!" This world is also exactually like the game its based on. If you've played "Bio Miracle Boku-tte Upa!" then you'll deffinitly recognise this, =Act One: Cakes and Candies: This may look easy, but its surprisingly difficult, at times.. The enemies are smaller, which means they're harder to hit. Avoid the flying pigs, and jumping ice cream cones, and dishes. Also, beware of the upturned forks. They act as spikes in this level, so don't walk on them. Continue on, and you'll end up in a room, with a suitcase. Shoot the suitcase, and... =Act Two: Soda-pop: This part really turns up the difficulty. You're now in soda, and the bottom of the stage keeps moving, so you need to make your way up fast, or you'll perish. The trick is, you can jump the same way you can on land, as on soda. What you'll need to do it press jump repeatedly, to make your way up. Keep going, trying to avoid enemies, and near the top, some of the walls will have spikes, which makes it even harder. When you get to a door, press up to warp up (you don't need to, if you're using Upa) and then, soon, another door, and eventually, you'll reach another suitcase. shoot it, and.. Congrats. No boss fight. End of world 5. Once again, you'll have two choices. Its up to you. ========================================= +World Six: Puzzle World You have the option of being shown how to play. You press (A) to select a panel, then select another panel, and press (A) again, to switch those panels. The goal is to complete the picture. =Act 1: To make this even more difficult, there is Konami Girl holding a balloon on the bottom of the stage, and a train with a pin, coming toward her. When the train gets close, you have to move the cursor down to her, and press (A) to make her switch sides. When the trainreaches the end, it turns around, and goes the other way.You have three goals here. Finish the puzzle before time runs out, and keep Konami Girl's balloon away from the train. If you fail to do either of these, you fail, so don't lose! Items also appear, when you move some panels. Select them, and press (A) to get them. You have to finish 3 puzzles, to complete this world. ========================================= +World Six: Car Races! "Mach Racer Rikkuru! GO! GO! GO!" =Act 1: This is also tough. In this level, you play as the red racecar. You zoom through the highway, and enemy cars will try to knock you off the road. bumping into them won't kill you, but they can sometimes knock you into the wall, which WILL kill you, instantly. Pressing (A) will make you jump very high, which can help sometimes. At certain points in the race, the screen will flash "Jump!" at which point, you should press jump, when there are gorges, and fences. At one some points, you can get powerups, like rockets, which you can shoot by pressing (B) to destroy enemies. A good tip is to try to ram enemies off the road, so they will die, too. Keep going, and.. BOSS: Dragon Semi: This can be really frusturating, since you can die so easily. First off, before the boss appears, you'll hear a siren, and then you'll see a rocket power-up. grab it, and move to the side of the road. The Dragon Semi will appear and make its way down the road, spewing garmage out the back of it. avoid these if you can. Jumping is your best friend with this guy. Just keep ramming his side, to damage him, and shoot rockets, when you can. Watch out for when the road narrows, because the boss will take advantage of this, and ram you off the road. After enough damage, the back segment will explode, and after more damage, the entire semi will explode. Congrats. Area 6 clear. ======================================= +World Seven: Fuuma's Area: Hell "The Ghost Cemetary!" =Act 1: Hell: This level is back to the usual format, except that instead of going from left to right, you're going from right to left. No big change, really. Anyway, watch out for the gouls, the lava pits, and the pitfalls, as well as the skeletons with extending horns, and the leaves (which don't look it, but can do tons of damage). about halfway through the level, you'll reach a blue pillars with one eye. Now, they don't do anything, but the spikes above them can fall, so watch out. You'll also reach these metal weights falling, so be careful. Soon, you'll reach more demons, and flying dead fish, which can be annoying. just kill them. If you use Fuuma, you can break through certain stone walls, and skulls, which will give you power-ups, so its good to use him on this level. Avoid the fireballs, and continue on, and you'll reach.. BOSS: Anubis: This guy can be easy, if you use Fuuma, and assuming you dodge his fireballs. He shouldn't be too hard. Once again, you'll get two choices. choose wisely. ====================================== +World Eight: Takeyabu Fort "The Takeyabu Fortress!" You'll be using Vic Viper in this stage, and it'll be in the style of Gradius/Salamander, which should be familiar with you, if you call yourself a Konami fan.(A) fires bullets, and (B) upgrades (when you get power-ups) ------------------------------------------------ The upgrades are as follows: \ ---------------------------------------------------- S: Speed: You get power this up 4 times, each time, making you move faster. M: Missile: This allows you to shoot missiles out of the bottom of your ship, as well as the regular bullets. This can only be upgraded once. D: Double: This makes you shoot out two streams of bullets at the same time, one shooting upward, and the other horizontal. upgrades only once. L: Laser: This replaces your bullets, with a laser beam function. You can go back to shooting bullets, if you upgrade D. O: Option: This creates a little red ball, that follows you, and mimics your shots (creating more firepower). This can be upgraded 2 times, each creating a new red ball. ?: Shield: This creates a small shield around your ship. It absorbs bullets, and crashes with enemies (but not crashes with walls/floor), and it lasts 4-5 hits. ----------------------------------------------------- =Act One: Takeyabu Fort: fairly easy. just make your way through. At the end of the stage, you'll meet.. BOSS: Kani-Mothership: This is a classic Gradius boss style, but a parody. You need to aim for the middle of the crab, and shoot at the little bars. They will break, and after you break all of them, the middle sphere will be vulnurable. Avoid the claws (or destroy them, if you have to) and keep shooting at the green sphere, until it dies. =Act Two: This act is really short, but grab as many powerups as you can because you'll soon meet.. BOSS: Giant Gradius Ship: Here, you're going to fight a GIANT gradius boss. The screen also moves, so this makes it REALLY hard. You basicly need to avoid all the different shots that come out of this boss, and kill the little Vic Vipers that come out, for easy power-ups. After a trip around the ship, shoot at the barries, like you did on the last boss, and it should die easily. ====================================== +World Eight: Moai Ruin "The remains of Moai!" You'll be using Vic Viper in this stage, and it'll be in the style of Gradius/Salamander, which should be familiar with you, if you call yourself a Konami fan.(A) fires bullets, and (B) upgrades (when you get power-ups) ------------------------------------------------ The upgrades are as follows: \ ---------------------------------------------------- S: Speed: You get power this up 4 times, each time, making you move faster. ----------------------------------------------------- =Act One: This stage is another parody of the Gradius series. Just go through it, and when you get to the end, you'll meet... BOSS: Moai Ghosts: These guys are alittle tough. They'll shout in Chinese at you (yes chinese. These guys are dressed as chinese spirits) which will damage you, but just keep shooting them, and they should die easily. You only have to defeat about 4 of them. After a trip around the ship, shoot at the barriers, like you did on the last boss, and it should die easily. ====================================== +World Nine: Simon's Stage: Dracula's Castle A Parallel world?!? =Act One: Frogger: If you've played frogger before, you'll know you need to dodge the cars, and get to the other side. easier done, than said, really. Once you make it to the other side, you'll reach.. =Act Two: Castle Entrance: This is a parody of Dracula's Castle, from the Castlevania series. Watch out for lightining, and shoot candles for power-ups. Once you get in, you'll encounter Vampires, Were-wolfs, and spike-pits. Just make your way down, and on to.. =Act Three: Castle Moat: Kill the Fish-men that jump out of the water, and the Bats the fly across the screen. Easy enough. Then, on to.. =Act Four: Chaple: Also east. Watch out for Frankensteins, and more Bats. Get to the top, and you'll reach... =Act Five: Courtyard: The enemies get tougher now. Shoot the Snakes, before they can throw their head at you, and avoid even more Bats. About midway, the ground will start to fall from under you, so move fast! You'll soon arrive at... =Act Six: Hall: Kill more Frankensteins, and head left, until you reach some coffins, and.. BOSS: Coffin Man: This guy is a push-over. Just keep shooting at him, and avoid his boxing glove, and eventually, he'll explode. ================================= +World Ten: Waruumon's Stage =Act One: Waruumon's Stage: This place is weird. Kill the floating brains, and the Pig things, and all manner of creatures. The stage is all flat, so your main concern is killing enemies, until you reach a hole. Once you get there, jump in! BOSS: Waruumon: This guy is hard, but only because he's so hard to hit. If you can manage to use Bill, this boss is cake. You basicly need to just avoid his shots, and jump up and hit his head. Once he explodes.. Congradulations! you rescued the princess, and restored peace to the land! The End ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ =================================== +Secrets: Vic Viper: when you are controlling Vic Viper, if you move very close to the ground, it will sprout legs, and walk along the ground. It doesnt do anything, but its just cute. =================================== +Special Thanks: Kitsune Sniper: who's review cleared up alot about this game, and whom I couldn't have made the guide without.
