Once you complete the whole Tutorial you will unlock the original NES game, Excitebike. `W`A`L`K`T`H`R`U` This isn't really a walkthrough it's just a main overview. There are three difficulties (Novice, Amature, & Pro.) Each difficulties have more tracks and harder competitors. In each Cup (inside the difficulties) there are five tracks, three inside, and two outside. You get the following points for your postion of the six riders: 1st= 5 2nd= 3 3rd= 2 4th= 1 5th= 0 6th= 0 That is the basics of this, and in every outdoor track I've played there are some shortcuts. And you first must make your way up in the cups, beating Bronze(1st overall) unlocks Silver, then Gold, then so on.... `n`o`v`i`c`e` In Novice you race in the Bronze and Silver Tracks, and you get first in them to advance to the next round when you complete the Novice round you unlock Amature and Soccer. ~|BRONZE|~ <> is indoors and three laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 1:24.30 minutes.^`*~. Nothing is to hard here. Just small jumps and no big hazards. <> is outdoors and two laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:25.00 minutes.^`*~. Your first outdoor track and first big air. This is where you will need to learn to land to the shape of the landing surface. There is a shortcut her but isn't worth the time I think.... In this race there are some rivers you have to cross. Right before you hit them you pull back on the joystick and then double-tap the turbo. You will not loose to much speed this way. <>> is indoors and is three laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:19.30 minutes.^`*~. You will use air turns here and nothing else is to much more demanding. <> is outdoors and two laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:06.60 minutes.^`*~. You will NEED your R Button + B Button slide. There is a huge shortcut here if you can hit it right. Right before the mill, there are those two jumps, go to the left, and then up the dirt path. You will be on a ramp. Turbo it fast and then use the air turn on the road. This will hopefully move you up 2-3 postions in the race. <> is indoors and three laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 1:41.30 minutes^`*~. Hardest Track in the Bronze part. You'll need to battle people and knock them off their bike. On the big high up circle tap the gas the whole way around. ~|SILVER|~ <> is indoors and three laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:02.00 minutes^`*~. Nothing to hard here. Just remember how to do 180 degree turns, air turns and how to land. <> is outdoors and two laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 3:00.00 minutes.^`*~. If you cannot land these jumps, you'll never beat this game. For the big leap hit the jump before it at 40mph and go over the chasim at 70mph. Play this track in time trials or exibition mode until you master it. <> is indoors and three laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:23.50 minutes.^`*~. Same as last. Landing is in winning this track. <> is outdoors and two laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:26.50 minutes.^`*~. Just follow the track. There is a shortcut here. When you go up a big steep hill look for some logs to crash through. In here is a shortcut, but the exit out of it is tricky..... <> is indoors and three laps long. .~*`^The suggested time to beat is 2:00.00 minutes^`*~. A lot of dual 180 degrees and watch out for those big tires. You could end up loosing big time by hitting them. `a`m`a`t`u`r`e` In Amature your race through the same Bronze and Siver Tracks, and then also the Gold tracks. After finishing the three cups you unlock Pro Season and Hill Climb. BRONZE SILVER GOLD `p`r`o NOW THIS IS FUN. The game was made for this... there are more rounds now. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platnum, Challenge and Custom. After you beat Challenge, you get Excitebike 3D, which is the same as the old Excitebike NES, on the n64, with a over-the sholder view with the Excitebik 64 engine. BRONZE SILVER GOLD PLATNUM (not unlocked yet) CHALLENGE (not unlocked yet) CUSTOM (not unlocked yet) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SOURCES: www.excitebike.com Excitebike 64 Game Manual THANKS TO: Nintendo (www.nintendo.com) CJayC (www.gameFAQs.com) DO NOT RIP OFF MY FAQ!!
