Hello, and thank you for using this walkthough. :)

To keep things spoiler free so that you can enjoy as much of the story as
possible, I'll refrain from outlining any specific details of the story and
keep this walkthrough entirely barebones. I hope you enjoy Date Warp and that
this guide proves helpful to you; thank you again!

III. Universal Info [UI3]

To start with, allow me to drop a few hints to help you along with your game.

-Ending Types:
===

Every guy has two endings-- one good and one bad. The only exception is 
Bradley, who has three endings. This gives you a grand total of eleven endings
to witness before you'll have completely finished the game. Each ending reveals
a little about the mansion and those residing in it, so it's definitely worth
your while to try to see them all in order to unravel the real mystery in
Date Warp.

-Break Down:
===

The first half of each playthrough will consist of Janet making friends with
the guys in the mansion. It's very easy to discern between the first half of
the game and the latter half-- Janet will, at some point, decide on who she
feels closest to based on how much affection you've raised for that particular 
guy during the first section. This decision signals the beginning of the
second half of the game; from that point onward, the interactions you have with
whatever guy Janet chose will determine the type of ending you have.

This means that decisions from the first half of the game DO NOT effect the
ending you will have with that guy. I repeat: the decisions made at the
beginning of the game have NO relevance to the ending you will get. The first
half on determines which guy you will be focusing on.

-Affection:
===

During the first half of the game, you'll notice a little meter that pops up 
whenever you have an interaction with one of the guys. It begins on "Neutral, 
and can gauge from "Hate," "Dislike," and "Tolerance," to "Accept," "Like,"
and "Love". The meter doesn't really appear much in the second half of the
game, but it is quite important in the first half.

The guy you'll end up "dating" depends on who has the highest affection for you
by the time Janet decides to pick a guy. Certain actions will make their 
affection decline-- others will raise it. Do NOT worry if your chosen guy does
not have the meter set on "Love,"-- this is not your fault. The majority of the
guys will not land on "Love," no matter what you do; it's just an aspect of the
game to make things realistic.

Whenever going after a particular guy, make sure not to get too chummy with the
other men in the house. Remember that the highest affection ultimately wins; if
you have to say some mean things to other guys to make sure that the one you're
going for stays on top, then you have to do what you have to do. It won't mess
up your ending whatsoever if other guys in the house do not like you.

(Note: For this guide, I will choose negative interactions for all of the other
men in the house except for the one you'll be going for, just to make things
simple. At some points, where it doesn't matter what choice you choose, I will
indicate so.)

-Hints and Tips:

Once you've chosen an option before, you don't have to solve the puzzle to 
choose that option again on later playthroughs. For example, the test puzzle
at the start of the game that leads you to the option, "Begin Game." On every
playthrough after your first, you'll notice a box on the bottom of the screen
that says, "Skip Puzzle." Click on that and you'll be able to choose the,
"Begin Game," option without having to solve the puzzle.

Q: There's a typo/ error!

Q: Where can I buy this game?
A: I'm almost entirely certain that this game is not available at any video
game retailer. You'll have to buy it straight from the Hanako Games website.

Q: May I use this on my site?
A: Possibly. If you could e-mail me first and make sure to credit me for 
writing it, that would be grand. :)

Q: Why won't ____'s affection meter go all the way to love?
A: Like I pointed out earlier in the FAQ, the majority will only head a little
into like. Because the actual time you spend in the mansion is so short, it was
decided that most guys probably wouldn't realistically fall in love with Janet 
in such a small time span. Sorry! :(
