Click on the installer file (it's shaped like a TARDIS) which will take you through the process. As the game is released in episodic format, you have to download the first installment. Once that has been downloaded, you can download the rest of the installments from within the game, which will quit the game and send you to the download link on the BBC website. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - i. Act One - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Following the cutscene, as Amy, you can explore the console room a bit if you like, but all the exits will merely end up back on the other side of the same room. There are a few cards you can get, see the Collectables section for more details as to their specific location. Anyway, go up to the TARDIS console and walk around it until you find a panel you can examine. With your mouse or trackpad, move the red lever up, then repeat the same move on another red lever further round the console. This will initiate another cutscene. After this, go up the staircase behind you, then when you appear back in the console room, talk to the Doctor again through the monitor. Now locate the panel you can examine. On this console panel, you must make all four levers point upwards. This is easier said than done. Basically, it's trial and error, although it can be made a little easier by avoiding the big lever on the left at all times. Use the little lever on the top left as well as the two levers at the bottom in various combinations until eventually, all levers will end up where they need to be. Now go back up the stairs between the two chairs to go to the TARDIS drawing room. In here, you can collect two cards: one beside the door and the other at the top left of the room. Explore around a bit, and examine all the different artifacts lying around. After exploring around a little while, the TARDIS will shake and a clock will move on the wall next to the desk. Examine that then move the camera so you can see inside. Pick up the laser screwdriver then go back to the console room. Back here, talk to the Doctor then examine the panel nearest the door. Use the screwdriver on the panel. You'll now have to complete the circuit puzzle, but that isn't too difficult. I suggest you complete the blue wire first, then the yellow wire. Then do the red wire, and finish with the purple and green wires. Once you've done this, pull the two levers in different combinations until the weird looking object is facing you, then hit the big button to finish Act One. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ii. Act Two - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Once you gain control of the Doctor, examine the only two parts of the console you can, then go up the stairs to the drawing room. Walk up to the smashed pot lying on the ground to start a short cutscene. After it's over, pick up the fob watch from the mantlepiece above the fireplace then examine the chronon blocker on the shelves on the left of the room. Use the sonic on it then complete the one-piece maze game, watching out for the fast-moving beams. Once that's done, leave the room. In the console room, walk up to the console then use the Feedback loop you've created on the place Amy used the laser screwdriver. Return to the drawing room and pick up the handheld distress beacon from Blood of the Cybermen and take that back to the console room. Go to the voltmeter, which is a few panels to the right of the monitor. Use the beacon on it to initiate the "align the two signals" minigame. You already know how to use the handheld beacon transmitter so simply do the same as before. Now, as Amy, you'll have to answer a few questions about Doctor Who. [I believe these questions do change occasionally, but it's multiple choice and you get unlimited attempts, so it shouldn't be too hard. All the questions come from the Facts scattered throughout the game. In any case, here are the answers to most of the questions, in alphabetical order] In 'Vampires of Venice', what did the aliens look like? A - Fish What city did the Sisters of the Water try to take over? A - Venice What did Elizabeth the Tenth call herself? A - Liz Ten What did the Doctor use to save his life in 'Four to Doomsday'? A - Cricket Ball When did the Daleks first appear? A - The Daleks Where do the Weeping Angels send people? A - Past Which Doctor played the recorder? A - Second Doctor Who forced the Ood into slavery? A - Humans Who liked the name Sycorax and used it in their work? A - William Shakespeare Who tried to conquer Earth in 'The Christmas Invasion'? A - The Sycorax [if you find any more questions, please email them to me. My contact information can be found in the conclusion of this guide.] Once you've completed your questions, there'll be a cutscene and the game will move on to the third Act. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - iii. Act Three - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - After quite a long cutscene, you will have the option of exploring the TARDIS console as Amy or the Doctor. It really doesn't matter which one you pick. You can go all around the console and use every control, while text at the bottom of the screen explains what each control does. This is quite interesting but when you're finished having a go at flying the TARDIS, speak to the other character, and select to leave now. As the Doctor, go to the only panel you can examine and use the big lever to lock the doors. Now you have to be fast. Don't worry if you are too slow as you can simply try again. From your current position, go two panels right then use the spinny thing. Then go to the other side of the console and use the red lever. Now go two panels left and another red lever. Finally, move three panels to the left and use the big lever to the right hand side of the panel. Once you've done that, there'll be a final cutscene, and the credits for this episode will roll. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Puzzle Guide ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------- Circuit Game -------------- First Appearence - City of the Daleks: Act One Difficulty Rating - 3/10 In-game Directions: 1. Wires must be positioned to connect two terminals of the same colour. Wires cannot cross. 2. Move the mouse pointer over a coloured terminal and the pointer will turn to a small hand. 3. Press and hold the left mouse button to drag a wire. 4. You must then connect the terminal to another of a matching colour. 5. To disconnect a wire, click on its end point and let go. Tips: It's probably best to start with the short and simple ones first then progress to wires with possible different routes. Work out which wires can go which way then figure out the best way of connecting them. In the walkthrough section of this guide, I have included suggested orders for each puzzle. ----------- Maze Game ----------- First Appearance - City of the Daleks: Act Two Difficulty Rating - 2/10 In-game Directions: 1. Release the mouse button at any time to drop the piece. Tips: 1. This game is pretty simple. Use the mouse to drag the pieces from their starting place (either at the edge or in the centre of the circle) to the finish points. 2. Don't let the pieces touch the edges of the maze. 3. Don't let the pieces touch any moving edges. 4. If there are multiple pieces, do not worry which piece goes where, as it doesn't matter; each piece can end up at any of the finishing points. ----------------------- Signal Alignment Game ----------------------- First Appearance - Blood of the Cybermen: Act Two Difficulty Rating - 7/10 In-game Directions: 1. Adjust the dials to creat a wave that eactly matches the ghost wave. 2. The Left hand dial controls the amplitude or strength of the wave. 3. The right hand dial controls the wave length. 4. Move the slider to match the wave speed and position. 5. Be careful not to let the wave go beyond the safe area. Tips: Start by adjusting the right dial until 3 green dots appear on the left. The right dial will probably be about 3/4 of the way round. Then adjust the left one without going over the red lines. When you have the heigt correct, then use the middle slider to match up the waves. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Collectable Guide ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Throughout The Adventure Games, you can collect a number of cards, each featuring something related to Doctor Who. Captain Jack Harkness Location - In the drawing room, at the top left of the room, next to the grandfather clock. Liquorice Location - In the console room, down the stairs below the console. Nasreen Chaudry Location - In the drawing room, to the right of the door.
