Yipe! 5 Version 0.8 A FAQ by some guy If you can't tell, I don't care to go crazy with ASCII art or long descriptions. And I'm not going to repeat anything from the in-game help. [SECRETS] There are 115 chests in the game. There are 8 secrets. I could use help figuring out what they all are... You can search in a crevasse in F6 to get into Yipe! Hell without dying If you search all around Yipe! Hell and then search the bottom row near the right, a new room opens up with three treasure chests You can create a path between the King's Castle and NED if you search the more northern boulder between them from both sides Just south of the King's Castle (D5), you can search just south of a section of rock to get into the blocked off area and get the treasure chest on D4. 8. [NED] The Never Ending Dungeon contains many treasure chests, a witty sign on every odd floor from 1 through 29, and three nice items: Floor 10: Strength Spinach Floor 20: Intelligence Potion Floor 26: Amulet of Nivek For the most part, odd floors have stationary, single enemies, and even floors have stationary, double enemies. Wandering monsters of the same type will also appear on each floor as a single, double, or triple encounter. There are some exceptions: 1-2: Zombie Bunny 3-4: Giant Beattle 5-6: Zombie Chicken 7-8: Zombie Town Kid 9-10: Evil Zombie Wolf 11-12: Buzzing Insect 13-14: Giant Cave Spider 15-16: Monster Mouth 17-18: Fiery Cave Spider 19-20: Sanguine Spider 21-22: Idle Explorer 23-24: Wild Mushroom (with wandering Idle Explorer) 25-26: Idle Worker 27-28: Zombie Worker 29-30: Donut Master (last sign on 29) 31-32: Dr. Hack 'n Slash 33-34: Little Artichoker 35 and beyond: Will randomly have double and triple sets of the last four monsters with other random monsters wandering the levels. 9. [ETC] Good stuff to know: When you kill a Perverted Polypede, your weapon is upgraded to the next available - unless you already have the iSword. Otherwise, your armor is upgraded. If you already have the best armory money can buy, you'll receive Mega Poly Armor! Don't buy Intelligence Potions or anything like that if you're already at 25 - won't work. BUT you can go over 25 in a stat if you upgrade yourself to 25 and then gain levels. Note: I can't honestly tell you whether or not it makes a difference though. Many rooms in caves have random gold on the floor. The second room of the Giant Zombie Bunny cave, for example, gives gold after you search anywhere a few times. Searching logs and pools of water can give you HP back, but they do wear out. Give them a rest and try again later. Hey, and as for the copyright business, I could care less. Pilfer whatever you like from this - make a better FAQ! I really only made this because I couldn't find one out there. Or, if you'd like to see this one improve, just email your notes to my Hotmail account - chris_elgee@... It might be nice to have a treasure chest list, definitive list of the eight "secrets," locations to search for gold on the ground, or an ASCII map.
