Some objects you'll come across can be used in other areas of the palace to solve puzzles, and some of the items are clues--usually in the form of a letter--to the mysterious disappearance of the Crown Jewels. If you get stuck and can't find one of the listed objects, just tap the name of the object and you'll be able to purchase clues with credits. Extra credits can be earned by locating hidden crowns; there are two hidden crowns in each of the settings you'll encounter. ~o&) 1 (&o~ ~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~ ~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~ ~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~ ~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~&~o~ ! ! . After finding all the hidden items at the arch, take a look at the engraved lettering near the top of the building. Use the letter X you found earlier on the whited-out X at the end of the engraved phrase to find a hidden scroll. Now you'll have to rearrange letters to complete three phrases contained in the scroll. Tap a letter to activate it, then tap another letter to swap their positions. Use the riding crop on the secret compartment in the left passage to get the geode; crack it open with the hammer to receive the amethyst shard. Now take a closer look at the box in the alcove. Use the glue on the empty bezel; place the amethyst shard there. Back in the Queen's Gallery, go to your inventory and use the kitchen knife on the candle to trim it, then place the candle in the candelabrum. Now use the lighter on it to unlock a puzzle. Arrange the paintings so that the person in each painting is looking toward the center, at Queen Anne. When you think you've got it right, tap the Queen Anne's portrait in the center. After finding all of the hidden objects in the garden, combine the seeds with the bird feeder and place it in the space below the branch on the right. Now use the corkscrew on the wine, then combine the cork with the inkwell. Look at the kingfisher's nest to find a puzzle. Here you must piece together the pieces of the torn letter. Return to the Blue Drawing Room and examine the chessboard. The goal of this puzzle is to place the black knight on the board so that white is in checkmate. If you're not familiar with chess or if you're stuck, place the knight two squares below the white rook (castle). Now exit the chessboard closeup and put the prism on the stand sitting on the mantelpiece. Now examine the mantelpiece. You need to place the five knight figures in the correct positions. The resulting placement should form a chain between one figure and the next. Start on the left with the figure extending his right arm backward; next should come the figure extending his right arm forward and left leg back. In the center position, place the figure with his right leg forward and head tilted back, followed by the standing figure tilting his head back and sword forward. Lastly, place the kneeling knight extending his sword to the left.
