It was made for the sole purpose of being posted to GameFAQs, and should only be posted there. This guide is intended to be relatively spoiler free and be a complete walk- through for the game. It is a brief, overhead shooter featuring the character Jacob Taylor and is a small story of events that occur between Mass Effect 1 and 2. As with any guide, use Ctrl+F in your browser to find anything specific you are looking for. ____________________ ____/ Intro Screen \_____________________________________________________ Upon purchasing and installing your game, you will come to a welcome screen with these options: Introduction Screen | |----New Game // Start new game | |----Continue // Continue from saved game | |----Extras | |----Stay Informed! // Create an EA.com login for a Mass Effect 2 | // reward | |----Mass Effect 2 // Trailer for Mass Effect 2 | |----More EA Games // Tiles showing upcoming EA releases | |----Credits // Production team | |----Help // Overview of controls | |----Options // Change Background Music, Sound Effects & | // Master Volume | |----About // Blah blah about EA | |----Main Menu // Back to Main Menu ____________________ ____/ Battle Controls \_____________________________________________________ The game is controlled with the accelerometer of the iPod touch/iPhone. It is played almost like a marble path game, in where tilting your iPod will move the character in that direction. Orientation is always with the home button on the left. Tapping enemies or crates will cause you to target them, though you will always auto-target enemies if you don't. On the right side of the screen are your abilities, which you can use on enemies or objects. They are from the bottom down: Biotic Attack - Icon is a head with arrows coming out of it. An enemy that is in a clean line of sight will be targeted and frozen in their tracks. Recharges and can be used infinitely. Heavy Weapon - Icon is a bullet. Will launch a heavy attack that is like a slow-moving shot that explodes on impact. I refer to it as a rocket. Can be used even when there is no clear line of sight on an enemy. Tech Attack - Icon is a Shield with a crack in it. An enemy that is in a clean line of sight will be targeted and have their Shields completely wiped out. Has a burst effect and can affect multiple enemies if close enough. Pause - Tapping this will pause combat. ____________________ ____/ Battle Objects \_____________________________________________________ There are several items that are on the ground during battle scenes, each with their own effect. The items are: Blaster Upgrade - Box with a series of Yellow dots in a rhombus shape. This is for your gun and when picked up, will result in a fast, non- stop barrage of gun blasts. Good for attacking a powerful enemy head on. Spreader Upgrade - Box with a purple fan/flower shape on it. Changes your gun so that it fires a wide array of lasers, making it easier to hit multiple enemies. Health Pack - Box with a Yellow cross on it. Will restore your Health (Red bar) when you pick it up. Take note that Health does not restore itself when you go directly from battle to battle, so make sure it is full before heading to the next area. Shield Pack - Box with a blue sheild on it. Will restore a small bit of your Shield (blue bar) instantly when you pick it up. Shield Upgrade - Box with a green Shield with a triangle in it. This increases the strength of your current Shield, so you'll be able to withstand more hits before losing it. _______________________ ____/ Conversation Controls \__________________________________________________ When you are not in combat you will be in a conversation scene. This is a scene between two or more characters where you can select dialoge based on these icons: FIST - Aggressive or cocky response THUMB DOWN - Pessimistic or evil response THUMB UP - Optimistic or good response EXCLAMATION - Usually neutral answer or simply saying "go on" QUESTION - Quizzical response HEART - Only used at the very end of the game, though it's not hot coffee NOTE - Almost all of the conversation scenes result in the same things being said, with paths usually leading back to the same questions or statements. You really miss little by going one way or another. There is no grand good or evil scheme like in Mass Effect where things you say have any real affect on what happens later. Even being a complete dick to Miranda will result in the same ending as with you being very nice to her. Don't sweat it if you think you "messed up" at any point and might miss something because of it. The biggest deal with the conversation scenes is that there's two or three battles that can be avoided or fought, that really mean nothing. If you like, you can see most of the dialogue choice differences by exiting at the end of conversation scenes, instead of going to the next battle or galaxy map, since restoring your saved game will start you at the beginning of the scene again. _________________________ ____/ Thoughts About the Game \________________________________________________ This game is not very good. It feels very thrown together and has very little polish. The quality of the programming is not good at all, because you will find things like slowdown and glitchy bits all throughout. For example, the loading screens always take a while, despite this game being nothing more advanced than what you'd find on a Game Boy Advance. Some times you can start a battle, but the loading screen is still in effect, even though the map is playing out with enemies shooting at you. During this, you won't even be able to move, even though the map is obviously playing out. Using your abilities and the sliding conversation wheel are sluggish and laggy, despite being very simple. It's hard to recommend this to anything but very hard core Mass Effect fans. ____________________ ____/ Acturian Jade \_____________________________________________________ The game will start out with a movie that will introduce you to the characters and the plot of the game. During this cutscene you will have full control to pause, fast forward/rewind or skip the movie. After the movie, you will shown the an overview of the game controls, which is exactly the same as the Help section of the extras menu. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene (Acturian Jade - 1 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 2 Two Grays (Lvl 1) << [Color of enemy and there difficulty level] Blaster Upgrade Health Pack Then the game drops you into a simple action sequence, fighting against two enemies in a small room. Just moving up and down will get you through the fight to the next part, which explains dialogue options. After that is a conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Porter | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the next combat scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene (Acturian Jade - 2 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Three Grays (Lvl 1) Health Pack x2 Blaster Upgrade You start at the beginning of a snakey corridor with three onscreen enemies. At the beginning each corridor only has one enemy, so it should be easy to isolate them and pick them off. In the upper left of the area is a Health Pack that you should need behind two crates. To fire at these crates just tap them on the screen. Once you kill the enemies heal up and head off to the right to enter the next combat scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene (Acturian Jade - 3 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Three Grays (Lvl 1) One Yellow (Lvl 2) Health Pack Blaster Upgrade Spreader Upgrade This area will be a little tougher just because you'll start in a wide area with nothing to hide behind while the enemies shoot at you. First, pick up the gun Upgrade and then procede to the middle of the room, where some small walls can serve as cover. You cannot walk over the glass-floored section, but you can shoot over them. Note that enemies can't "see" you opposite of crates, which means they'll serve as cover until they're destroyed. You can be fairly straight-forward and shoot at the enemies without worrying about your Health. If you do manage to get hurt, you can pick up the Health Pack before you leave. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene (Acturian Jade - 4 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 One Gray (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) Shield Pack Health Pack Blaster Upgrade You'll start shooting at the first enemy on the map once you enter and should be able to kill them easily. The three Yellow objects near the bottom right are not crates and can be shot over, so they do not offer protection. There is an Shield Pack amid four crates, but you should be able to fight off the two other enemies without worrying about it. If the two Yellow s do get you down, then the crates covering the Shield Pack have probably been destroyed and you can go ahead and retrieve the Shield Pack. By now you should be developing a strategy of weaving back and forth behind barriers (ie. crates) to avoid enemy fire. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene (Acturian Jade - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Three Grays (Lvl 1) One Yellow (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Spreader Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack All of the enemies on this map are basically sectioned off, so you shouldn't be confronting more than one at a time. You have plenty of room to pop in and out so that you can pick them off. Once you kill all of the enemies on this map, you will be automatically taken to confront the Batarian terrorist leader. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Batarian Terrorist Leader | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Despite seeming like a peaceful solution is available, all conversation paths lead to a fight. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene (Acturian Jade - 6 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 One Gray (Lvl 1) One Yellow (Lvl 2) One Red (Lvl 3) Shield Pack x2 Spreader Upgrade The battle area is shaped like a cross, with ample crates for protection. You start out closest to the Gray enemy, which is the weakest and should go down fast. The next is the to focus on is the Yellow in the middle. Since this is the last battle of this stage, go ahead and be gung ho if you want. Use the Shield Packs if you're close to losing your Shield rather than go straight on with the Red leader, though. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Captain Trudge & Major Izunami | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the same place, with no effect on the game. Now a short video will play and you'll be thrown into another conversation path, this time with Major Izunami. Again, all conversation paths lead to the same ending (get used to that.) Now you'll be at the galaxy map, where you can travel to different places, but you only get to travel to one place and you have to go there. ____________________ ____/ Cartagena \_____________________________________________________ Upon picking Cartagena, a movie will play and you'll be thrown into a conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Patrol Officer | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the same point, and start you onto the first battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Cartagena - 1 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Four Greens (Lvl 1) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack This map is split down the middle by barriers and glass, but shouldn't be too difficult. You'll start right next to a gun Upgrade, so grab it and make the most of the two or three seconds it's working. It'd be a good idea to hang back after killing the first two guys on the left side until your Shields have recharged before heading to the top to make it to the other side for the last two. You've got plenty of cover, so just got slow and steady. It's possible to kill all of the enemies by just hanging behind the first barricade. These enemies are harder than the first area, so you'll probably die if you just throw yourself in headlong. It might be time to start using your powers like rockets. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Cartagena - 2 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 TWo Blues (Lvl 2) One Green (Lvl 1) Spreader Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack The area is made up of a bunch of walls randomly sticking out of the area, which is shaped like an "S", that serve as protection. You can't cross the glass, so you'll have to break the crates in the middle to get to the end, though they'll probably break on their own in the crossfire. You'll have plenty of cover to isolate and pick off the first green . The next two might prove troublesome if you can't break them up, but you can always try a rocket. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Cartagena - 3 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 TWo Blues (Lvl 2) One Green (Lvl 1) Spreader Upgrade x2 Health Pack Shield Pack This map is basically divided into two sections and you'll have lots of crates. There's a blue that's pretty close, as well as two Spreader Upgrades. Grab the first Spreader and just rush the blue nearby, and you'll be able to overpower him easily. Let your Shield build up again, then punch a hole through the middle of the map by destroying the crates. Once the middle is open, get the other Spreader and rush the last two enemies. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Cartagena - 4 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 TWo Greens (Lvl 1) One Blue (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Armor Pack The space will require you to think a little about your approach, as all the guys are in open spaces that you get to through a bottleneck. If you start to wait, the guys will start to amass in the middle area. This is a good time to grab the Blaster Upgrade and storm the middle, then running to the left cell to pick up the armor you'll need it. Go ahead and use the rest of your powers, since this is the last map. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Black Eye | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o This is the first time that your conversation scene will result in something, though as you'll see, all this does is affect if you'll fight a battle or not. It's not very big deal either way, as neither affect the story, and the battle is never hard. For most of these, you can either force a fight by being belligerent and choosing THUMB DOWNS AND FISTS, or try to be peaceful with THUMBS UP and QUESTIONS. Here is an example path for each, though they are not necessarily the only way to do it. If you do fight, it leads to the next battle. Hostile - THUMB DOWN, THUMB DOWN Peaceful - FIST, THUMB UP, QUESTION, EXCLAMATION, THUMB UP, THUMB UP, THUMB UP o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Cartagena - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 One Green (Lvl 1) Two Blues (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Armor Pack Health Pack You'll be thrown right into the middle of the battle with guys pinching you in and shooting from all sides. A good strategy is to make a run for the gun Upgrade, while using all of your powers when you can. This map can be hard just because of the lack of cover, but if you take it calmly you'll get through it. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the same ending, with you going to the galaxy map for picking a new world. If you think that there is some potential romance simulation and that your conversations with Miranda affect getting a good or bad ending with her, they don't. I was rude and obnoxious one game, then kind and caring the next, but still got the same ending, so do whatever you want when you're talking to her. ____________________ ____/ Galaxy Map \_____________________________________________________ At this point in the game you will be allowed to travel to three different worlds on the map. Each has a peace of story that's required for the opening the last section of the game, but order does not affect this. Beating each world will Upgrade one of your abilities, which are as follows: Tortuga - Heavy Weapon Upgrade Bekke - Biotic Upgrade Ahn'Kedar - Tech Upgrade Each Upgrade increases power or something, I don't really know, it can be a bit hard to tell what's going on sometimes in the game map due to lag and tweaks, especially when using your abilities. For this guide I've taken the route Tortuga, Bekke and then Ahn'Kedar. If you want to do a different order for some reason, then just jump around in the guide. If not, select Tortuga and go ahead. ____________________ ____/ Tortuga \_____________________________________________________ Selecting Tortuga will cause a movie to play and then start a conversation scene with Ish. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Ish | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the same end: your first battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 1 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Three Grays (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Health Pack Shield Pack You'll start in the upper left of the map, with a Blaster Upgrade to the right of you. You shouldn't race into the space since there you'll be open to all three of the attacks, so you should try to pick off the first enemy by staying behind the first wall, which means you probably pick up the Blaster Upgrade without even meaning to. If you do, just go ahead and charge in. You have to be on top sometimes and direct the enemy you want to shoot, because even if you're being shot by an enemy in front of you, you might not be firing at him because you're targeting an enemy you can't hit and will just stand there. This is done by tapping on the enemy, just like attacking the crates. After you get the Blaster Upgrade, go ahead and make your way to the armor Upgrade to the left, where you'll be taking hits and will be able to use it. Just don't try to make the whole shoot-out in one go, take a breather and let your Shields recharge once they start going low. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 2 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Three Grays (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack This is a map that will require a little more thought than the previous, because if you just rush in you'll most likely die. Once you start the map take a second and pick your target manually, then wait for them to make it to the center hallway and ambush them with a rocket. Make a run down the hallway and hit the Blaster Upgrade, hopefully killing your target. By now all of the enemies will be in the main hallway, and you'll be at the left side. Take the Shield Pack in the upper left and come back to hit the enemies with another rocket, which should be charged by now. You should get used to using rockets because at this point the game won't be quite as easy. There will probably be one enemy left, so you can wait for your Shields and rocket then charge the lone enemy, or just go ahead and run after him. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 3 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 One Gray (Lvl 2) Two Hats (Lvl 3) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack The two hatted enemies are much harder than previous ones, and do not attempt to take them both on at once, or they can easily kill you. Start by hanging back a bit and waiting for the blue to come to you alone, where you can throw a rocket and hit him with a barrage and kill him without drawing the attention of the other two. Once he's dead, you'll have to wait for the two hatters to separate, you can blow some crates up at the top of the map and wait for one to hopefully to toward the circle crate, which will explode when hit. Remember to keep using your rockets once they're available, and hang back. Pick up the Upgrades if they're nearby, because you'll need them for taking on the hatters. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda Hologram | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the next battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 4 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Two Grays (Lvl 2) One Hat (Lvl 3) Blaster Upgrade Health Pack Shield Upgrade I started this map with a loading circle that really hindered me at the beginning of this tough map. You're basically in a box surrounded by enemies without many places to go. I went straight for the bottom so I could take the one enemy one on one. You'll have your Shield and Biotic abilities for this fight, and you'll very much need them. It's easy to get boxed in fast by the enemies, so hope you can make a dent in their numbers before it happens. A decent strategy is to make a beeline for the items. Make use of the barrel, though it's placement means you'll likely end up hitting it accidentally. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Two Grays (Lvl 2) One Hat (Lvl 3) Spreader Upgrade Health Pack Shield Pack Another map that started with loading screens, leaving me vulnerable to enemy attacks. If this happens to you, it's almost best to die and then restart, since you'll restart the map with no penalty. The walls in the middle of the map do a good job of being able to isolate enemies for one-on-one fights. Try to keep them separated and you shouldn't have a problem. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda Hologram | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the next battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Two Grays (Lvl 2) Two Hats (Lvl 3) Blaster Upgrade Spreader Upgrade Shield Pack This can be tough. I made my way to the left alcove and shot the two weaker enemies in the right alcove, hoping not to attract the attention of the two hats at the bottom. By the time the two Grays were dead, I had to rush out of the left alcove as enemies came rushing in, down the bottom right. You should be using all of your abilities for this one, as it can make the whole battle much more manageable. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Batarian Leader | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o This is one of the rare conversation scenes that has different outcomes. You can either choose to fight the batarians or they'll leave you alone to go to the final fight. The most likely outcome is that they'll let you past, but if you really push it you can fight them, too. Both of these paths are just examples and are not meant to show the only way. Fight Battle - FIST, QUESTION, FIST [Go to Battle 6] Avoid - THUMB DOWN, THUMB DOWN, FIST, FIST, EXCLAMATION [Go to Battle 7] o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 6 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 5 Two Blues (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) One Red (Lvl 3) Spreader Upgrade Shield Pack A map that will kill you if you rush in, so just wait in your little corner and wait for the first enemy to stroll in front of you, then fire a rocket and finish him off quick. Hopefully you'll be able to pick off one or more from your little cubby hole without the others coming to rush you. I would not try to go and get the Spreader Upgrade, just because you're throwing yourself right into the enemies and it will most likely get you killed. I was able to get good drops from the enemies on this map, so it's worth it to make a run for those and then retreat back to your cubby hole, where you should be able to kill the rest of the enemies. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda Hologram | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the next battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 7 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Three Hats (Lvl 3) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack This is not an easy map. All three of the enemies are high level and basically huddle in the middle room, so it can be difficult to catch them one on one. Stick to the top where you can pick off an enemy from the side (as long as the crates are still there) and launch a rocket to start. If it hits, it'll take out the crates, but they would only get in the way once you start shooting anyway. Stay to the side of the opening so you can keep yourself covered from the enemies, timing it so you go behind the wall between shots. They'll usually give you space and won't come to where you are and rush you. Go grab the Shield Pack when you need it, and anything an enemy drops. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Tortuga - 8 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 TWo Grays (Lvl 2) Two Hats (Lvl 3) Spreader Upgrade Shield Upgrade Health Pack Your starting point is not a good place to be, since it offers no cover. If you make a run to the narrow corridor on the left then the enemy usually rushes in to swamp you. My best run for this actually had me grab the Spreader Upgrade just to the south of you and make run around the group of enemies, which usually round up in the middle of the room. By circling around them with the Spreader, you'll be hitting all of them at once and be doing a lot of damage while still avoiding most of their attacks. Make a grab for anything they drop. When your Spreader Upgrade wears off, there shouldn't be a problem picking off the last one or two using the remaining items. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Illo | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the world map and a Heavy Weapon Upgrade. ____________________ ____/ Bekke \_____________________________________________________ Movie plays then you enter a conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda Hologram | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the next battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Bekke - 1 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Three Grays (Lvl 1) Spreader Upgrade An easy map that requires little strategy. Grab the Spreader Upgrade and tackle the enemies head on. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Bekke - 2 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Two Grays (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack The top of the map will not provide cover, so go after the bottom enemy behind the crates. After he's dead, hide behind the crates until your shield is built up again then attack the top enemy. One on one it's easy, then let your shield recharge before trying to go after the two harder enemies that are behind the two crates in their pen. Use your rocket to blast the crates, and the enemies are close enough that the blast should take some of their health. Try to get one of these guys at a time, because if they're both shooting at you, then you'll lose your shield very quickly. They mostly stay in their area, so make use of rockets. Pick up the Health Pack and then go for the exit. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Bekke - 3 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Two Grays (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Shield Upgrade Health Pack Take the top path and pick the weaker enemy first. The other Gray and the two Yellows will usually start to huddle about the bottom. Use this opportunity to select the bottom left explosive crate and launch a rocket at it. It should take most of the Gray's health out. Grab the Spreader Upgrade and make a sweep toward the bottom, finishing off the weaker enemy and hopefully killing the first Yellow . Since they're up against the wall, make use of the rockets. If you try to rush the two Yellows at once, you'll need the Shield Upgrade in the middle of the map. Save the Health Pack until the enemies are dead, so you can go to the next map with full health. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Bekke - 4 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Four Yellows (Lvl 2) Shield Pack Health Pack Lots of difficult enemies, so you'll have to use the corridor walls to isolate enemies one by one. Make liberal use of retreating if you lose your shields and wait for them to recharge, and always throw rockets when the enemy is near a wall or an explosive crate. Take it slow and you shouldn't have a problem. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda Hologram | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to the next battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Bekke - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Four Yellows (Lvl 2) Shield Upgrade Blaster Upgrade This map can be cleared in one rocket shot. Hold up tight in the corner of where you enter, then target one of the explosive crates in top middle. When the enemies have all congregated near them, make a run for it and shoot a rocket. Pretty simple. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Bekke - 6 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 5 One Gray (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) Two Reds (Lvl 3) Speader Upgrade Shield Pack Hug the small wall you start near for cover while you pick off the first two enemies. By the time the two Reds come by to follow you, target the explosive crate at the bottom of the screen and shoot a rocket, it's blast radius might also completely take out the Gray enemy for you. With your back against the wall for most of this fight, make use of your Biotics and Tech abilities. Killing all of the enemies on this map throws you into a conversation with Miranda, followed by a forced exit off of the planet and a Biotic upgrade. ____________________ ____/ Ahn'Kedar \_____________________________________________________ Upon arriving in Ahn'Kedar, you'll start a conversation with Nax. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Nax | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to you and Nax working together and to the next battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Ahn'Kedar - 1 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Two Grays (Lvl 1) One Yellow (Lvl 2) Speader Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack Run to the top for the Spreader Upgrade, that will help you take down the two Grays relatively easily. The map layout provides plenty of cover for fire, but I was able to rush the last enemy. If you suffer any health loss, pick up the pack on the way out. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Ahn'Kedar - 2 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 3 Three Bots (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack Don't forget that the glass cannot be walked over, so this map has less mobility and less cover. The enemies start out in such a way that you can usually go after them one at a time, though. Don't go after the Blaster Upgrade surrounded by crates unless it's already available, because the crates serve better as cover. Just keep throwing any of your abilities as they come up, then make your way to the next level. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Ahn'Kedar - 3 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Four Yellows (Lvl 2) Health Pack Shield Pack First don't forget that the glass blocks are uncrossable. Second, you'll enter the map thrown right into the middle of a fire fight with no cover. Target the first enemy and use your tech ability to kill his Shield and you can hopefully kill him off before you start taking damage. You can attempt to isolate yourself to just the first enemy by going to the middle-bottom of the map, which brings it to one-on-one with this guy. I got a drop of a Shield Pack from him, which I did need. The second enemy of the bottom area might go toward the explosive crate, so be ready to shoot it the second he does. At this point, there will be the top two enemies left, and they usually stick to seperate sides of the screen, so take each one-on-one by destroying the crate in front of them. Once you're done, grab the Health Pack and head to the next area. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Ahn'Kedar - 4 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Two Grays (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) Health Pack Speader Upgrade The walls of the right side of this map provide the best cover, so go ahead and stick here rather than make a run for the middle to grab the Spreader Upgrade. Duck and covering will get you through the first two Grays, and rockets in the hallway is a good start to the Yellows. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Ahn'Kedar - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 one Gray (Lvl 1) Three Yellows (Lvl 2) Health Pack Speader Upgrade Shield Pack Take the enemies one-on-one, starting with the first Gray. The map provides cover so that you won't be bothered by the Yellows while you're fighting him. Be careful to not get near the bottom wall that's covered with explosive crates that could blow you up with them. You really won't be able to get enemies near them, either, so just ignore them. Wait for a single Yellow to come along the right side and down through the bottom right and then unleash on it. Go ahead and hit it with a Shield bash. If you can get the next two Yellows to separate, go after the first one with a stasis and attack the other while it's frozen. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Batarian Leader | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to you a fight. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Ahn'Kedar - 6 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 5 Two Grays (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) One Red (Lvl 3) Speader Upgrade Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack This battle is a mess. You'll be getting hit from all sides and I had issues with slowdown that only made the battle harder. Get the Blaster Upgrade and try to focus on the closest enemies and use what minimal cover you can. Once the top path is cleared you can make a run across. I had luck with item drops in this battle, so make a go for any that are dropped. This battle went so fast and messy it's hard for me to give a good strategy outside of use your common sense for having got this far. Winning the map will automatically throw you to the next conversation scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Dr. Hendricks | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o You have choices to learn some of the story of what was going on at the lab, but you will be interrupted by a movie scene before you can really finish. The movie is followed by another Conversation Scene. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Batha, Miranda & Nax | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Nothing of consequence happens with the different conversation choices. TECH POWER UPGRADE _______________________ ____/ Sub-missions Complete \__________________________________________________ At this point, you'll have finished the three sub-missions, and be taken to a new Conversation scene with Illo. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Illo & Miranda | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Despite seeming to go down different paths, you will always find out the whole truth from Illo. The only option that you really have is if Illo either lives or dies, which makes no difference to the overall story. Now you'll be heading to the Citadel for the final leg of the game. __________________ ____/ Citadel \_______________________________________________________ Select the Citadel from the galaxy map and travel there, which is followed by a short clip and a conversation scene with Miranda. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Miranda | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation options with Miranda ultimately lead to a battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Citadel - 1 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - None Just walk across the screen to exit. Exiting will begin a new conversation Scene with a C-SEC officer. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - C-SEC Officer | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths result in a battle. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Citadel - 2 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Four Grays (Lvl 1) Blaster Upgrade Shield Pack Health Pack My game started this battle in a loading screen that lasted for five to ten seconds, which meant I couldn't move Jacob or select abilities. Despite this, the managed to stand in one spot and shoot down all of the enemies. If that's happening, then I don't need to bother with a strategy on this one. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Citadel - 3 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 One Gray (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) One Red (Lvl 3) Blaster Upgrade Shield Upgrade Health Pack Nothing really difficult here. The first enemy is open and easy to pick off first, while the three huddled together behind the crates can be softened up with a rocket followed by the gun Upgrade. Killing all of the enemies takes you to a conversation scene with Jath'Amon. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Conversation Scene - Jath'Amon | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o All conversation paths lead to a cinema clip, then a fight. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Citadel - 4 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 5 Two Grays (Lvl 1) Three Yellows (Lvl 2) Blaster Upgrade This map gave me more trouble for some reason. I kept trying to go for the weak Gray at the top and make my way down, but I couldn't follow through and hit the mass of enemies behind him. The Yellow enemy at the bottom that will make his way to your left is the better choice. Go for your tech ability to get rid of him quickly, then come down and around to the group of enemies in the middle. Use the bottom pillars as cover while using a Biotic and then a rocket combo to strike the bundle of enemies. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Citadel - 5 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 Two Grays (Lvl 1) Two Yellows (Lvl 2) Shield Upgrade The only cover on this map is the crates on the bottom, which is almost none at all. Use a tech on the closest Yellow, but don't try rockets because they will just go over their shoulders and hit the back wall. I made a steady way down to the small cover at the bottom, then popped back up. Hopefully you won't lose that much Health, since there is no Pack for this level. o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Combat Scene ( Citadel - 6 ) | o-----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Enemies - 4 One Gray (Lvl 1) One Yellow (Lvl 2) One Red (Lvl 3) One Bot (Lvl 1) Health Pack The hover bot will start attack you first, but the rest of the enemies won't be able to see you behind the large cover of this map. Use whatever you want to take out the hover bot, but wait until you Shields have completely charged before taking on the next enemies. I do not recommended blasting through the crates at the bottom to get to the, but rather wait at the start for one of
the enemies to wander around to where the hover bot was. I was able to get
the Red to walk close enough to where I could launch a rocket at the wall
near him, then follow up enough to kill him. With him gone, I then went past
the crates at the bottom to get rid of the last two, also taking the Health
Pack, which I needed at that point.

Enemies - 5
	Two Turrets (Lvl 1)
	One Gray (Lvl 1)
	One Yellow (Lvl 2)
	One Red (Lvl 3)
Health Pack
Shield Pack

Wow, easily the hardest map yet. Sometimes the enemies will all see you and
just unleash, or sometimes some can't seem to find you. You absolutely have
to go up against the Red first so you'll have room to dodge all of the enemies
on the left side of the screen. Use your tech, stasis and rocket to get him
down quick if you have to. There is a small patch of safety behind the two
crates in the middle, but they went down pretty fast. Try to focus on the
turrets first, using all of your abilities the second they're available. With
the right side clear, just walk all the way up and down to avoid enemy fire.

Enemies - 5
	Jath'Amon (Lvl 3)
	Two Turrets (Lvl 1)
	One Yellow (Lvl 2)
	One Red (Lvl 3)
Shield Pack

Do not move past the first two pillars until you've killed the Red and the
Yellow enemies. Jath'Amon will slowly make his way to your side, but not
fast enough so you can't take out the turrets one at a time. With Jath'Amon
all alone, go ahead and shuffle through all your abilities first, then finish
him off with standard shooting. Finishing the map will launch you into a
conversation scene with Jath'Amon.

All conversation paths lead to Jath'Amon being lead away, and to a video ending
of you and Miranda together. After this, you've beaten the game. Continuing
from your saved game will let you play the last battle over again and view the
ending, though it stays the same no matter your decisions.
