You'll have zombies attacking you from all sides and you're not barricaded in any decent type of shelter like a military bunker or safehouse; you're going to start out in a goddamn park. But that's okay, because you have a copious amount of weapons to make up for it, like a crossbow and a machine gun. The controls are really easy to understand: The left wheel moves your character while the right one aims your gun and you hold the right one to shoot. Select weapons with the weapons list in the bottom middle portion of the screen. - IMAGE: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- http://media.playhaven.com/gogwdiNoOyfU_9e_nmdbPQ/original/survin.jpg ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Weapons =============================================================================== The better you handle the weapons, the longer you'll survive. So you should know everything about them and switch accordingly to your circumstances. Pistol Damage: Weak Speed: Average Description: Use this gun only for the beginning. It takes three bullets to kill one monster and it's slow. But you start with 9999 bullets, so use it when you're running low on ammo for the other guns. Rifle Damage: Decent Speed: Average Description: The enemies will kill enemies within two hits so it's better than the pistol, but you only start with 20 bullets, so you'll be switching back to the pistol a lot. Crossbow Power: Good Speed: Slow Description: This is a powerful but slow weapon, so save it for the harder enemies. It's especially good for killing Draculas since it only takes one hit for them. It can also go through enemies so you can get some bonus damage there as well. If you want to use this weapon a lot, make sure to get the Perk Crossbow Master so you can shoot three at once and triple its efficiency. Gernade Launcher: Power: Very Good Speed: Fast Description: Only use this gun if you're being overpowered by enemies that are close to you because its range is very limited. Machine Gun: Power: Very Good Speed: Very Fast Description: This gun shoots bullets extremely fast (it's a machine gun) and you it will kill most enemies in just two hits. Ammo is also pretty easy to find; once you get this gun, you should stick with it for the most part. BFG (Bio Force Gun): Power: Great Speed: Fast Description: Not only is this the most powerful gun, it explodes when it hits so you can get multiple kills. Use this one for killing ghosts. Conserve ammo though because it's very rare. =============================================================================== Modes =============================================================================== Rush mode gives you a machine gun with unlimited ammo and endless enemies come at you. You get slightly better equipment and stats though, but the key surviving in Rush depends on your skill level. Survival mode is more like the story mode. You have the same goal as Rush: Just survive, but you actually have to find weapons and ammo. But the enemies don't just come at you from the start; the difficulty gradually progresses so you have time to build up an arsenal. This guide will teach you how to get through Survival mode. If you can get far in Survival mode, you'll do well in Rush. =============================================================================== Strategy =============================================================================== When you first start out, you're very weak. You only have the Pistol so it takes three shot to kill the enemies. After a while, you'll start to get health and ammo. Ammo may not necessarily be for the Pistol (you start out with 9999 bullets for that one) but for the Rifle or other guns. You should still save them because you'll need them for later, when you actually find the better guns. Always save the better guns and ammo for harder situations. Especially for the beginning, when you have very few enemies ganging up on you, just use your Pistol and conserve ammo. Remember, use Perks as soon as possible. Once you click on it, it'll pause the game so you don't have to worry about dying while choosing. Perks are up to you to pick, but always pick one that benefits your current situation. For example, don't upgrade faster shotgun reloading when all you have is a pistol. But a good beginning perk to get is the Master Crossbow which will greatly improve your crossbow. Later, you'll get the Crossbow and the harder enemies (Tickers) will come. The Crossbow will be easier to kill enemies with than any previous weapon, and if you get the Master Crossbow the Crossbow will still be useful later too. You'll soon get the Grenade Launcher, but only use it when they're ganging up on you. Don't rely on the Grenade Launcher as a survival weapon but as a last-choice weapon. Check the map (top right corner) periodically. If the enemies aren't coming back at you, that means that Dracula is coming. Use the Crossbow to kill him and you'll get him in one hit. Later, you'll fight stronger Tickers, but you'll get the machine gun to make up for it. At this time, you should turn off Auto Switch Weapons (Just pause and go to options) because that will become an annoyance. You should be constantly shooting because you'll be constantly getting ammo; you shouldn't have to worry about running out. Save the BFG for desperate situations and when you have to fight Dracula. It will get to a point in the game when you're going to be constantly overrun by enemies. When it comes to this, switch to the Machine Gun and hide behind the fountain and just continuously shoot the enemies. Get supplies when you need them but don't wonder far away to get them; stay in the general area. If your health is getting low and there aren't any health packs near you, switch to the BFG and just start blasting enemies until one drops a health pack. You're eventually going to have to die, but if you follow my guide, you can prolong your death and hopefully get on the scoreboard. - IMAGE: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- http://media.playhaven.com/QDyB3niI9X8CXWgHxrlebw/original/305196662_0.jpg ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- This guide was created at http://www.playhaven.com/.
