___________________ / Guide Information \__________________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Metal Gear Solid: Touch Enemy Guide Written by John Edwards (KyoraStryker) [Contact info provided at bottom] Version 1.1 [Final] Original File Date: 08 January 2010 Last Updated: 25 January 2010 ______________ / Introduction \_______________________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After beating this game the first day and compiling a script guide for this game, I thought to myself, "What other guides can I think of for this game?" Unfortunately, there aren't too many guides that you can create for MGST, since there's not a whole lot you can do, outside the standard gameplay. And truthfully, I'm too lazy to play from the beginning and develop a walkthrough. Maybe in time I'll develop a higher degree of motivation and work on a walkthrough. This guide is going to be another short one, but probably a little more helpful than my script guide. For this guide, I've compiled a list of every enemy you will encounter while playing and provided a degree of difficulty and methods to kill them. ___________________ / Table of Contents \__________________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Unless a slew of emails flood my inbox relating to this game (and this guide in particular, which I highly doubt), this is the final version. Update: 24 Jan 2010 [Version 1.01] List containing permitted sites to use this guide updated. ____________ / Enemy List \_________________________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a list of every enemy in the game, listed alphabetically. Each enemy has been assigned a difficulty (based on a five-star rating system, one star being a push-over, five stars being a pain in the ass) the missions they are encountered in, and a very, VERY basic method to dispose of them. - Canard Attack Chopper - Difficulty: ** First Appearance: Mission #03 Additional Appearances: Mission #10 A basic attack helicopter. Uses a Gatling gun and missiles to attack. Destroy by shooting them with a rocket obtained from shooting a KERO-TAN doll. - Crying Wolf - Difficulty: ***** First Appearance: Mission #14 Additional Appearances: None The boss and objective of Mission #14. Can be highly difficult to see at times due to weather conditions during the mission. Attacks using a rail-gun. Defeat her by hitting her twice in the head with the SVD while she charges her rail-gun until she dies. - Dwarf Gekko - Difficulty: * First Appearance: Mission #13 Additional Appearances: Mission #19 Miniature Gekko that spawns in pairs of two or three. Each Gekko will attack by shooting a single shot. A single shot with the M4 will kill these. - Gekko - Difficulty: *** First Appearance: Mission #07 Additional Appearances: Missions #11, #13, #15 and #17 Unmanned bipedal war machine. Attacks using a Gatling gun or its legs, if close enough to Snake. Shoot their legs until they collapse, then aim for the "head" until they explode. EXCEPTION: Mission #15's Gekkos are rigged to self-destruct. A tip from Antitype's walkthrough: - If Gekko's health is more than 50%, fully charge the rail-gun and shoot them in the head. - If Gekko's health is more less than 50%, charge the rail-gun to LV2 and shoot them in the head. - Haven Trooper - Difficulty: ** First Appearance: Mission #04 Additional Appearances: Missions #08, #11, #14, #17 and #18 Ocelot's private soldiers. Attacks with either a Gatling gun or a sniper rifle. Three shots to the head with the M4 or two shots with the SVD will kill them. - Laughing Octopus - Difficulty: *** First Appearance: Mission #08 Additional Appearances: None The boss and objective of Mission #08. Uses Octo-Camo to blend in to surroundings. Attacks using a Gatling gun. Shoot five times when she appears until she dies. - Liquid Ocelot - Difficulty: ** First Appearance: Mission #20 Additional Apearances: None The boss and objective of Mission #20. Old Snake's nemesis. Uses only fists to attack. Defeat by dodging/blocking Ocelot's punches and delivering your own. - Metal Gear RAY - Difficulty: *** First Appearance: Mission #16 Additional Apearances: None The boss and objective of Mission #16. Anti-Metal Gear weapon. Uses missiles and a Gatling gun for attacks. Defeat by using REX's missiles to destroy RAY; use REX's Gatling gun to destroy RAY's incoming missiles. - PMC Soldier - Difficulty: * First Appearance: Mission #01 Additional Appearances: Missions #02, #03, #05, #06, #07, #09 and #10 Basic foot soldier. Uses small arms fire to attack. A headshot will kill them. - Raging Raven - Difficulty: ** First Appearance: Mission #12 Additional Appearances: None The boss and objective of Mission #12. B&B Corps member that uses a group of Sliders attached to her back to enable her flight. Attacks using a Gatling gun or by sending a series of Sliders towards Snake. Defeat her by shooting twice with the SVD (first shot in the body, second shot in the head). Aim for her head quickly during the last bit of the fight to avoid her dropping bombs on Snake. - Screaming Mantis - Difficulty: **** First Appearance: Mission #18 Additional Appearances: None The boss and objective of Mission #18. Possesses power of mind control and manipulation. Attacks by summoning Haven Troopers or using knives. Kill her by shooting the doll on the left until it hits the ground, shoot it again to pick it up, then shake the device. Repeat until she dies. - Slider - Difficulty: * First Appearance: Mission #12 Additional Apperances: None Unmanned combat aerial vehicles capable of flight. Attacks by diving into Snake. Two shots with the M4 will destroy them. _____________________ / Contact Information \________________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ah yes, the part where you want to contact me about the guide, ask questions, give feedback, et cetera. Your guide is awesome and I probably wouldn't have beaten this game as fast as I did without it. Hats off to you. And as per all of my guides, the reader. It's always fun to help readers with games, and a guide on GameFAQs is the best way to do it, in my honest opinion. End of File
