001.  General Information
-----------------------------------------------------------

This is a walkthrough for the game called Garfield Tycoon, 
for the iOS. The in-game tutorial covers most of the 
gameplay information; this guide will mainly detail what 
kind of floors you can build. I have not actually completed 
the entire game, so it is possible there is an error 
somewhere. To contact me about this guide, use my email

002.  Building Floors
-----------------------------------------------------------

In this game, you can build floors for your building. 
Simply tap on "construct new floor" and pick which type of 
floor you want built. The price of each floor, and the time 
it takes to build each floor, changes depending

Here is the information for the first twenty floors. The 
first two floors are built as part of the tutorial.

Floor 1 costs 75 coins and is built in 0 minutes.
Floor 2 costs 300 coins and is built in 1 minute.
Floor 3 costs 675 coins and is built in 1 minute.
Floor 4 costs 1200 coins and is built in 2 minutes.

To figure out the price of a floor, multiply the floor 
number by itself, then by 75. 

The time it takes to build floors 1-14 are based on the 
Fibonacci sequence. After that, the time it takes to build 
a floor increases by 16, each time. If you want the 
mathematical formula, the time it takes to build a floor is 
224 + 16(x - 14), where x is the floor number.

The price of a floor can change, depending on what type of 
floor you're building. If you build a residential floor, 
the price is halved. If you build a two-star floor, the 
price is doubled. If it is a three-star floor, the price is 
tripled. If it is a four-star floor, the price is 
quadrupled.

004.  Commerce Floors
-----------------------------------------------------------

Every non-residential floor allows you to buy and sell 
items. There are three types of items available for sale; 
the number of employees working on a floor determines which 
items you can sell. If you have one employee, you can sell 
item 1. If you have two employees, you can sell items 1 and 
2. If you have three employees, you can sell items 1, 2 and 
3.

If all the employees in a store have a combined management 
total of 20, you get a bonus fourth item that can be sold. 
It costs hearts to stock up on the bonus item.

Item 1 sells for 1 coin each, item 2 sells for 2 coins 
each, and item 3 sells for 3 coins each. Item 4 sells for 4 
coins each.

Before you can sell an item, you must stock it in the 
store. If the combined stocking total of the employees is 
high enough, you get a discount, and it costs less money to 
stock items.

Once an item is fully stocked, tap on the floor to start 
selling the item. Customers will show up and buy the item. 
If the combined promotion total of the employees is high 
enough, customers buy the items faster.

Here is a list of all the commerce floors, separated by 
type. The list will say the item's name, the number of 
items you get each time you stock, and how long it takes to 
stock them.

005.  Other
-----------------------------------------------------------

At the top of your building is a sign which reads "Garfield 
Tower". Tap on it to see that there are seven different 
signs you can put on the building. Each sign has a 
different effect, and each sign costs a different number of 
hearts. Please note that if you put up a promotion board 
other than the original board, its effects will only be 
temporary.

On the upper part of the screen is a flag. Tap on it to see 
a list of missions, which double as the achievements in the 
Game Center. If you fulfill the terms of any mission, you 
can go here and collect a reward.

In the upper/right corner of the screen is the menu. In the 
menu, you can access the trampoline screen. Here, you can 
spend hearts to upgrade Garfield's trampoline. This allows 
him to send people to higher floors.
