PBA Bowling Challenge - Limited Balls FAQ by aces4839 Thanks to a user at the Facebook group for this game, I can provide a listing of all the limited balls that were ever released for this game, many have since retired. I did my best trying to find release dates for all the balls. They were based on photos that Concrete put out on their Facebook page. Any I couldn't find were marked as unknown. The FAQ will be updated when they come to me. Here are all the balls as of June 3rd, 2019: Basic Balls These balls were released during the Winter Olympic Games and have the same stats as the High Voltage ball and are 15 LBS each. They gave out 26 bonus tickets, energy and EXP per strike. All stats are below average with power having a higher stat than hook and control. XOXO (10 LBS) Released on Valentine's Day Costed no tickets or pins. Speed is average while hook and control are a bit below average. Ticket Turbos Trick or Treat (14 LBS) Released during the month of October Slightly above average power and control with a higher hook stat, this ball can grant a treat if you strike with it. Fail to strike and you get a trick. In both cases, the bonus or loss is not much and it can be tickets, energy or EXP. One thing to note though is this ball resembles a pumpkin and it is wider than a normal ball, so take care when using it. Candy Cane (12 LBS) Released during the month of December Slightly above average power, average hook and a higher control stat than power, this ball gives 15 bonus tickets per throw. Aquarius' Riptide (13 LBS) Released late January to late February Fairly high power with an even higher hook stat but slightly less control than power, this ball grants 75 tickets per throw. Count Yolkula (16 LBS) Released near Easter High stats overall, this is one of the many egg-shaped balls that came out. This one could grant you 100 tickets per strike. Cat (13 LBS) Last released on August 28, 2019 Exact same stats as the Dog ball and it grants the same bonus the Dog ball does as well which is 50 tickets per throw. Super Grab Bag (15 LBS) (RETIRED) Last Released on December 24, 2016 Same stats as the normal Grab Bag only it gives better bonuses for each throw. This was a high ticket costing for this ball at 6 million tickets. King Crab (16 LBS) Released late June to late July Same stats as the Aquarius' Riptide ball and it also gives 75 tickets per throw. Hula Hook (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Below average power with very high hook and above average control also, this was a prime ball for the Badger pattern. It granted 10 tickets for every hambone. Bobber Ball (11 LBS) Released during the month of May Slightly above average power and control with very high hook, this ball also grants a bonus per throw even though there is a chance for no bonus. The best bonus out of the batch is 5 gold pins and probably 100 EXP also. I found a use for this ball on a number of patterns myself. Freakingstein (13 LBS) Released during the month of October This is one of many balls that resemble Halloween. This ball had slightly above average speed and control with a higher hook stat. It granted 125 tickets per strike. Mummy Dearest (13 LBS) Released during the month of October Another Halloween-related ball, this one has average power and control stats with a higher hook stat. It granted 100 tickets per strike. Skellington (16 LBS) Released on October 12, 2018 As it looks like a skeleton head, it has max power with less hook and control. It grants a random bonus of tickets, energy and EXP per strike. Brunswick Mastermind Intellect (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 28, 2017 This ball had a very high power stat with slightly less hook and slightly less control than spin. It granted 25 tickets for every strike. Crux (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 22, 2017 Same exact stats as the Brunswick Mastermind Intellect only it granted 10 EXP and tickets per strike. Columbia 300 Melt Down (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 5, 2017 Fairly high power with a much higher hook stat but less control, this ball granted 10 tickets and energy per strike. Game Breaker 2 (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 26, 2017 Same exact stats as the Brunswick Mastermind Intellect and even granted the same bonus it does as well. MOTIV Venom Panic (13 LBS) Last released during mid July 2018 An above average power stat but with below average hook and control stats, this ball grants 15 EXP and tickets per throw. 16th Anniversary Ball (14 LBS) (NEW) Released on August 9th, 2019 High power with below average hook and control, this ball grants 50 tickets per strike and double that amount at the Concrete Alley venue. Radical Grease Monkey Whack (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 13, 2017 An average power stat but with lower hook and control stats, it granted 50 tickets per throw. Rocket (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 22, 2017 Average stats overall, it granted 20 tickets per throw and 15 energy per strike. Columbia Mad Antics (15 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 5, 2017 Fairly high power with higher hook and control, this was possibly one of the best balls in the game. It granted 50 tickets and 25 energy per strike. Dream Big (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 9, 2017 Same stats as the Grab Bag balls, this ball granted 25 energy per double and 250 tickets per turkey. Vandal (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released September 17, 2016 Fairly high power with lower hook and control, this ball granted 20 EXP and tickets per strike. Kraken (15 LBS) Last released either late 2017 or early 2018 Same stats as the Crux ball only it grants 20 tickets per throw and 15 energy per strike. Pin Harvester (14 LBS) Released late September Pretty high power with slightly above average hook but better control than spin, it grants 10 tickets per throw and 15 energy per strike. Precursor (18 LBS) Released on December 14, 2018 High stats all around, this ball gives a random bonus of tickets, EXP and energy per throw, that amount being less than 15 of each. Savannah (12 LBS) Released late December Very high power with above average hook and control, it granted a random bonus on the Cheetah venue. The Van Bowl (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 3, 2016 Slightly above average power with high hook and average control, this ball not only granted 15 tickets per throw, it had a 5% chance of becoming a Lightning Ball as well. Tour de Lanes (11 LBS) Last released on July 15, 2018 Very high power but with average spin and below average control, this ball grants 35 tickets per strike. Raw Urge (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 5, 2017 High power with slightly above average hook and control, this ball granted 60 tickets per strike. Freakshow (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 19, 2017 Almost the same exact stats as the Bobber ball but with average control, this ball grants 30 energy and tickets per strike. X (14 LBS) Released during the month of October High power and control but with slightly above average hook, this ball grants 45 tickets per strike. Jackpot (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 13, 2017 High power but with slightly above average hook and control, this ball had a 5% chance to get 800 tickets each throw. Not saying much because the Mercury ball has a 5% chance to get 1,000 tickets each throw. Mission Unknown (14 LBS) Released during the month of October Same stats as the X ball only it grants 50 tickets per strike. Shanpire Spare (14 LBS) Released during the month of October Same stats as the Mission Unknown ball only it grants 65 tickets per strike. Special Ops (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 9, 2017 Same stats as the Jackpot ball only it granted 200 tickets per double. Cupid (14 LBS) Released early to mid February High power but with average spin and control stats, this ball has a 10% chance of 200 tickets per strike. You're better off using the Trooper ball that can grant 300 tickets per split left by it. Track Mako (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Retired on March 7th, 2019 This ball used to be a permanent ball. It had fairly high power and hook with average control. It granted 30 tickets per throw. The Eliminator (15 LBS) Released on May 31st, 2019 High power and control with a bit less hook, this ball grants 20 tickets, EXP and energy per throw and double that amount on the PBA venue. Belle of the Ball (12 LBS) Released during Mother's Day Very high power with average spin and less control, it grants 30 tickets per strike The Gentleman (12 LBS) Released during Father's Day Same stats as the Belle of the Ball only it grants 35 tickets per strike. Radical Xeno Pearl (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Retired late April 2019 Fairly High power with higher hook but less control, this ball granted 45 tickets per strike. This also used to be a permanent ball. Roto Grip Wreck-Em (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Retired late April 2019 High power and hook but with average control, this ball granted 25 tickets per throw. This also used to be a permanent ball. 900 Global Desert Ops (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Retired early April 2019 Fairly high power with even higher hook but less control than power, this ball not only granted 10 tickets per strike, it also had a 5% chance of exploding like a Bomb Ball. This also used to be an unlimited ball. Firebreather (10 LBS) Released June 13, 2018 A slightly above average power stat but with very high hook and max control, this was a contender for best ball in the game. It gave 35 tickets per throw. EXP Grinders Cupcake Ball (13 LBS) Released on August 9, 2018 Fairly high stats all around, this ball grants 25 EXP per throw and double that amount on the Concrete Alley venue. Wizard (16 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown High power and control with an even higher hook stat, this ball gave 2 times the EXP in every game used. Triple Double (16 LBS) Last released late May For a basketball, it has fairly high power stat with lower hook but very good control. It gives 3 times the EXP for a strike and 2 times the EXP for a spare. In both cases though, that amount is no more than 30 EXP. The Zombie (16 LBS) Last released on August 10, 2018 A very low power stat backed by above average hook and control, this ball comes in handy for the Bear and Badger patterns. It also gives 100 EXP per strike. Scorpio's Claw (13 LBS) Released late October to late November High power with less hook and even less control, it gives 75 EXP per throw. Sagittarius' Bowstring (13 LBS) Released late November to late December Same exact stats as the Scorpio's Claw and also gives 75 EXP per throw. Lovestruck (14 LBS) Released early to mid February Same stats as the Scorpio's Claw except with a lower control stat, this ball granted 125 EXP per strike. Longhorn (15 LBS) Released late April to late May A very high power stat with slightly above average hook and control, this ball grants 75 EXP per strike. The Great Gobbler (16 LBS) Released during Easter High stats overall as it's another egg-shapped ball, this ball grants 500 EXP per turkey. Virgo's Strike (12 LBS) Released late August to late September With slightly above average power and hook but with max control, this ball grants a whopping 750 EXP for every six pack or six strikes in a row. Bonehead (13 LBS) Released during the month of October Another Halloween-related ball, this ball has the same exact stats as the Bobble Ball. It grants 100 EXP for every strike. Spider (13 LBS) Released on October 12, 2018 As it looks like a spider, this ball has VERY low power with very high hook and near-max control. It grants 15 EXP per strike and double that amount on the Cemetary Lanes venue. Wicked (13 LBS) Released during the month of October Exact same stats as the Bonehead and it even has the same bonus effect. Thug (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on September 17, 2016 With a very high power stat with lower hook and even lower control, this ball granted 25 EXP per strike. Roto Grip Sinister (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 2, 2017 Same exact stats as the Thug, this ball granted 10 EXP and energy per strike. Pittsburgh Jack Rabbits (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last Released on February 26, 2015 Same exact stats as the Bobble Ball, it granted 50 EXP per strike. It was also originally one of the Elias Cup balls. 900 Global's Respect (15 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 9, 2017 With fairly high power and slightly above average hook and control, for every 300 thrown with it, you would get 500 EXP. Emerald (14 LBS) Released during the month of May One of the Bling Balls, this ball has an average power stat with slightly higher hook and nearly max control. Not only do you get 200 EXP per strike, if you get a 300 with it, you get five gold pins. Brunswick Gold Rhino Pro (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 28, 2017 This ball had slightly above average power with very high hook and a bit less control than hook. It gave 75 EXP per strike. Hyper Cell Skid (16 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 2, 2017 Here's a ball that could be a powerhouse. It has the same stats as the Brunswick Gold Rhino Pro only it has a bit more power. It gave 20 EXP and energy per strike Code of Honor (16 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 26, 2017 Same stats as the Hyper Cell Skid only with less control, this ball gave 75 EXP per throw. Ruby (14 LBS) Released during the month of July Another bling ball, this ball has high power and hook with max control and it also gives 200 EXP per strike and 5 gold pins for every 300 thrown with it. Hx16 (16 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 15, 2017 High power with less hook and nearly max control, this ball gave 75 EXP per strike. MOTIV Jackal (15 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 8, 2017 This wasn't one of the recently re-released MOTIV balls. This ball had fairly high power with a higher hook stat and less control than power. It also gave 75 EXP per throw. Urge (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on May 5, 2017 Average power with slightly higher hook and slightly higher control than hook, this ball gave 75 EXP per strike. DV8 Pitbull (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Retired in mid April 2019 This also used to be a permanent ball. Same stats as the Storm Code Black, this ball granted 40 EXP per throw. Dragon (13 LBS) Released late November High power with slightly less hook and slightly less control than hook, this ball grants 50 EXP per strike. WSOB X (14 LBS) Released on March 21, 2019 Very high power with a bit less hook and less control than hook as well. It grants 200 EXP per strike. Energy Chargers Grand Slam (25 LBS) Released during the start of baseball season (early June) Slightly above average power and control with a slightly less hook stat, this ball gives 15 energy per strike. 15 Year Anniversary Ball (13 LBS) Released on August 9, 2018 High power and hook stats with lower control, this ball grants 50 energy per strike and double that amount on the Concrete Alley venue. Jolt (12 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Low power with slightly higher hook and much higher control, this ball had a 5% chance of 500 bonus energy if you made a spare with it. Booster (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Fairly high power with less hook and even less control, this ball granted 25 energy per throw. Teacher's Pet (13 LBS) Released around the start of a new school year (late August) Slightly above average power with much higher hook and average control, this apple of a ball has a 5% chance of restoring a whopping 9999 energy per throw! Capricorn's Charge (13 LBS) Released late December to late January High power and control with an even higher hook, this ball grants 75 energy per throw. Aries' Assault (16 LBS) Released late March to late April) Same stats as the Capricorn's Charge and also grants 75 energy per throw. Solar Flare (18 LBS) Released late August Max power with high spin but average control, this ball also grants 75 energy per throw. Night Fever (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Low power with much higher spin and control, not only did this ball grant 100 energy per four strikes in a row, there was also a 5% chance for a Lightning Ball. True Bowled (13 LBS) Released during Halloween Same stats as the Fur Ball and also grants the same bonus. Garnet (15 LBS) Released during the month of January Another bling ball, this ball has max power and hook but a bit less control. It gives 100 energy per strike as well as 5 gold pins per 300 thrown with it. Amethyst (14 LBS) Released during the month of February Another bling ball, this ball has max power and control but a bit less hook. It grants a 20% energy discount on Multiplayer games and gives 3 gold pins per 300 thrown with it. Mardi Gras (15 LBS) Released on Valentine's Day Slightly above average power with bad hook and control, it grants 20 energy per strike. Diamond (15 LBS) Released during the month of April The fairly high power stat with nearly max hook and max control make this ball one of the best balls in the game as it's another bling ball also. 100 energy per strike as well as 5 gold pins per 300 thrown with it. DV8 Outcast (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on September 17, 2016 An average power stat with slightly less hook and control, this ball granted 50 energy per turkey. Pearl (14 LBS) Released during the month of June Fairly high power and hook with near max control also make this bling ball a powerhouse. Also grants 100 energy per strike and 5 gold pins per 300 thrown with it. Peridot (14 LBS) Released during the month of August Same stats as the Pearl only it has max control. Also grants 100 energy per strike and 5 gold pins per 300 thrown with it. Use it well. Bowl-in-One (11 LBS) Released during the US Open for the PGA Tour (mid June) Same stats as the Grand Slam ball only it grants 18 energy per strike. OPTIMUS (15 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 22, 2017 A high power stat with a bit less hook and control, this ball granted 50 energy per strike. Opal (14 LBS) Released during the month of October Another bling ball, this ball has high power also with a bit less hook and control. Special Boosters Thunder Storm (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released November 15, 2013 Average power but bad hook and control, this ball had a 15% chance for a Lightning Ball. Safeguard (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Below average power and control with average hook, this ball had a 50% chance to recharge the Split Ball if it left a split. Crazy Ball (16 LBS) Released on April 1st Max power with almost no hook or control, this ball would act as a Bomb Ball if it hit the pins, but the ball goes in random directions uncontrollably, making this not worth the headache. STILL, if you didn't want to recharge the bomb ball by spending gold pins when you leave a split, this would still give you a chance to convert it. Awesome (13 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Unlike the other Awesome ball, which is colored purple, this one is colored blue. It has the same stats as the other Awesome ball, but it would explode like a Bomb Ball every shot with increasing ticket costs to use it, making this ineffective once you ran out of tickets. El Diabowl (13 LBS) Released during the month of October Same stats as The Rolling Dead and also grants the same bonus. Witch's Hat (10 LBS) Released on October 12, 2018 As it looks like a witch's hat, this ball has the same exact stats as the Bobber Ball. It has a 6.66% chance for a Lightning Ball. It had a 5% chance of becoming a Lightning Ball. More Balls Afterburner (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Slightly above average stats all around, this ball costed 20 energy per throw to use and the stats on it would drop to 0 if you ran out. Greek (16 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on January 6, 2015 High power with average hook and higher control, if you somehow left a Greek Church split, which is a 4-6-7-9-10 or a 4-6-7-8-10, all the pins would become gold on the spare shot. Golden Goose Egg (16 LBS) (RETIRED) Released - unknown Extremely low stats all around, this ball had a higher chance of pins turning gold when struck. Golden Eye (20 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released December 18, 2016 High power and control with less hook, this ball also had a higher chance of pins turning gold when struck. The Lumberjack (20 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on December 6, 2013 Max power and control with less hook, if you used 110 energy per throw with it, you would get a gold pin. Shell Shock (16 LBS) Released during Easter High stats all around, this ball granted a 5% energy discount for Multiplayer games. El Grande (16 LBS) Released early to mid May High power with less hook and control, it grants a gold pin per four strikes in a row. Eagle's Valor (11 LBS) Released early July Max power but with below average hook and control, this ball grants two gold pins per four strikes in a row. MOTIV Primal Rage (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on April 8, 2017 Very high power with less hook and control, this ball had a chance for gold pins per strike. Black Widow Legend (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 16, 2017 Same stats as the MOTIV Primal Rage, it also grants two gold pins per four strikes in a row. Light And Shadow (13 LBS) Released on Groundhog's Day Slightly above average power and control with higher hook, there is a 50% chance to mimic the last ball rolled, the same as the Mimic ball. Aquamarine (14 LBS) Released during the month of March The last of the bling balls, this one has very high power with max hook and control. It grants 6 gold pins per 300 game thrown with it. Black Widow Red Legend (14 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 16, 2017 Fairly high power with less hook and control, it grants two gold pins per turkey. Shark Bite (14 LBS) Last released late July 2018 Slightly above average power and control with a higher hook stat, this ball gives a gold pin per turkey, but use it on the Shark venue and get 3 instead! Menace (15 LBS) (RETIRED) Last released on June 2, 2017 High power with even higher hook but less control, it grants two pins per turkey. Snakebite (14 LBS) First released on November 13, 2015 (it has been re-released before) High power but with average hook and control, this ball granted a gold pin per turkey. And that's all of them.
