001.  General Information

This is a walkthrough for the game called "Mummy Escape", 
for the iOS. The game is made by Bored.com, and versions of 
it can be found online. To contact me about this guide, use

002.  Walkthrough
-----------------------------------------------------------

The game begins with our hero getting locked in a tomb. 
This person needs to find a royal gem and escape.

Tap on the sphinx to the right. By the back legs of the 
sphinx, you can find a cloth. Pick it up, then back away.

Go forward, to the hall. On a yellow jar to the left, you 
find a smaller jar. Tap on it to knock it down. It breaks. 
Inside the ruins you one of three gold pieces.

On the right side of the hallway, standing near the barrel, 
is a statue holding an ankh. Tap on the ankh to pick it up. 
There is a gold plaque on the wall, right of the statue's 
head, but you need to find a way to pry it from the wall.

Go down the hallway. You have a sarcophagus here, as well 
as a door to the right and a jar on the left. Examine the 
jar which is by the sphinx. In this jar, you can get a 
knife and a katar.

Go back to the hallway. Zoom in on the gold plaque on the 
wall, on the far right. Use the katar on the plaque to 
remove it.

Go down the hallway. Zoom in on the sarcophagus. Use the 
gold plaque on the hole to unlock it, then tap on the 
sarcophagus to open it. You see a mummy, but it's covered 
with bugs!

Open your inventory. Use the flint and stone together, to 
create a light. Use the light on the torch to get a lit 
torch. Use the torch on the bugs to scare them away. 
Finally, use the knife on the mummy to find a book. Take 
it.

There is a door on the right end of the hallway. There is a 
star ornament on the door. Take it, then use the ankh (from 
the statue in the hallway) on the door. You can tap on the 
door to open it.

Tap on the wall to the left, by the statue. You see 
pictures, including one of a person inside a large oval. 
Use the cloth on this picture to reveal a gold piece. Use 
the katar on the piece to remove it.

Back away from the wall and zoom in on the pharaoh head at 
the end of this room. A gold piece is on top of it, and a 
book stand is in front of it. Use the book on the book 
stand, then tap on it. Use the star ornament on the book to 
open it. Inside the book is the royal gem. Use the katar on 
the gem to loosen it.

When you have the royal gem and the three gold pieces, 
press the down arrow several times until you reach the exit 
door. Put the three gold pieces on the door, with the bird 
on the left and the man in the middle. It opens, and you 
can leave.

003.  Questions

Q: How do I pick up an item?
A: Tap on the item.

Q: How do I move in a certain direction?
A: Tap the arrow in that direction. Many times, you can tap 
on something you want to look, and you move closer. 

Q: How do I use an item on something?
A: Open the inventory. Drag an item to the thing you want 
to use it on. You can use inventory items on each other.

Q: What items do I start the game with?
A: You start the game with a rock, flint and a torch in 
your inventory. You can get another rock from a sphinx, and 
you can get another torch from the right side of the 
hallway.

Q: What are coins used for?
A: Coins are not used for anything in this game.

Q: How many coins are there?
A: Five.

Q: What does the timer do?
A: At the start of the game, a timer begins. It keeps track 
of how long you have played the game. When you beat the 
game, you can submit your time to the iOS Game Center, if 
you've registered an account with them.

Q: How do I open the door at the end of the hallway?
A: Take an ankh from the statue on the right, in the 
hallway. Use this on the door to open it.

Q: How do I get the three gold pieces?
A: One is inside a jar, in the hallway. Break the jar to 
find it. The other two are inside the room which is right 
of the hallway. One is on top of the pharaoh head, and the 
other is on the wall. Use the cloth to reveal the gold 
piece on the wall, and use the katar to get it loose.

Q: How do I get the royal gem?
A: Use the katar on the gold plaque on the hall, then use 
the plaque on the sarcophagus. Use a lit torch to scare 
away the bugs, then use the knife to get the book. Put this 
book on the book stand in the room to the right of the 
hallway, and use the star ornament to open the book. Use 
the katar to get the gem out of the book.
