Introduction 2. Downloading 3. Playing ----------------- 1. Introduction ----------------- "Pickin' Stix Classic" is an app version of the classic table-top game: "Pick up Sticks" in which the player must pick up long, thin sticks from above, only taking those sticks which do not have other sticks above them. This game was originally titled "Pickin' Stix" but when the developers updated the game to include more options and a new UI, they re-uploaded this version to the App Store under it's current title. Downloading ---------------- The game can be found in iTunes and on the App Store iPhone application. It is currently free to download, although it is listed as being free for "a short time only". The file size is only 1.4MB. It requires iOS version 3.0 or higher to run, and is compatabile with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. ------------ 3. Playing ------------ Once the game starts up, you are taken straight to the main game. When you are ready, simply touch any stick to start the timer in the top right hand corner. You can touch anywhere on a stick to pick it up. Picked-up sticks will disapper from the screen. Every time you successfully remove a stick, the score next to the timer will rise by one. Touching a stick which cannot be removed will lower the score by one. There is no penalty for having a low score, nor is there any reward for a high score. Once all the sticks have been picked up, you can shake the device to restart. Tips ---- 1. Be careful of sticks that are the same colour touching each other, as it can often be difficult to tell which one is on top. 2. Similarly, be careful of sticks that appear not to touch but do overlap slightly right at the corner. 3. Watch out for sticks that join behind the timer and score counter. Sometimes they can go unseen. END OF FILE.
