Disclaimer and Copyright Info =========================================== 1. Introduction =========================================== Hi everyone! This is my first time writing a FAQ and the first time I've every played an SD Gundam G Generation Game. So, I'm going to apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes or any information that just isn't quite right. If anyone playing this game has any info which I don't include in this FAQ, feel free to e-mail me and I'll add it and give you credit for it. This FAQ is a work in progress and I'll update as I find out more while playing. SD Gundam G Generation Touch was released on December 15, 2010 on the iTunes app store as a free demo which let you play the first mission of the 0079 Gundam storyline. After completing the demo, an option appears on the main menu which takes you to the Japanese iTunes app store where you can purchase the full version for 1000 points. Unfortunately, you can only purchase this game if you have a Japanese iTunes account which needs a Japanese credit card to open. Luckily for us, there's a work around involving using a Japanese iTunes gift card to create an account. I personally got mine from www.jbox.com which also had detailed instructions on how to create an account. It's a bit on the expensive but it's what you have to do if you want to get this game. SD Gundam G Generation Touch currently has missions from the Gundam 0079, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, and Char's Counterattack. However, the game includes suits and characters from other series in the U.C. Universe like Blue Destiny, Hi-Nu Gundam, and the Gundam MK-III. According to the game video, new suits will be available from downloadable updates from the app store. =========================================== 2. Updates =========================================== Version 1.0 >=3 =========================================== 3. Game Modes and Menu Setup =========================================== 3A. Situation Mode: In situation mode, you get to play key missions from the Gundam 0079, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, and Char's Counterattack anime storylines. You can earn tickets from missions which are required to play certain quest mode missions. 3B. Quest Mode: In quest mode you basically play extra missions. It's a great way to level up mobile suits, pilot stats, and earn extra capital and scout points to buy mobile suits and recruit pilots. Missions that require tickets ususally pay out more capital than regular ones. 3C. Special Mission Mode: This mode lets you send up to 4 mobile suits and pilots out on missions which net you xp, and parts depending on how the pilot does. This process takes a full 24 hours. When a pilot is sent out on a special mission, they can't be used for either situation mode or quest mode. There are 5 mission types which will give different stats to the mobile suit if they level during the mission. You can select 5 different difficulty levels for each mission which determines the amount of xp is earned. Higher difficulty levels cost capital and increases the chance of damaging your mobile suits. Here are the mission types and the stats that are increased from leveling. NT missions can only be done with Newtype pilots. The missions are listed going to the right: 1. Boost type: HP +1, EN +1, ATK +1, DEF +0, MOV +7 2. Balance type: HP +2, EN +2, ATK +2, DEF +2, MOV +2 3. Attack type: HP +0, EN +1, ATK +7, DEF +1, MOV +1 4. Defense type: HP +4, EN +0, ATK +1, DEF+4, MOV +1 5. NT type: HP +1, EN +4, ATK +0, DEF +1, MOV +4 This is the pricing for the different mission levels: Lvl 1 - Free Lvl 2 - 3,000 Lvl 3 - 10,000 Lvl 4 - 30,000 Lvl 5 - 100,000 =========================================== 4. Operation Room =========================================== The operation room lets you place mobile suits and pilots in either the master slot or group slots for missions. The mobile suit in the master slot and warships will regain HP and EN at the start of a new phase where as mobile suits that are in groups in warships will have to return to the warships in order to replenish HP and EN. Mobiles suits that have Core Fighters inside like ZZ Gundam and the original Gundam can be repaired by going back to their warship. Here are the options that pop up when you select a mobile suit/pilot that's already in a slot: For Mobile Suits- Select another suit Option Parts Status Sell Clear mobile suit For Pilots- Select another pilot Status Clear pilot =========================================== 5. Hangar =========================================== This is where you will buy, sell, unlock mobile suits, and recruit new pilots. This section contains the options that pop up when you slect a suit or pilot. 5A. Army list 5A-1. Unit list- Contains all the mobile suits in your inventory a. Operational Slot b. Swap unit with another c. Combine unit with another d. Option Parts e. Sell unit f. Register unit- Registering a mobile suit will save it's current level and stats and will let you purchase that same exact suit in the shop. g. Status- Moving to the right will show you the mobile suit's MAX level and their faction. 5A-2. Pilot List- Contains all the pilots you have scouted a. Operational Slot b. Swap pilot with another c. Status- Moving to the right will let you see any skills the pilot knows. 5A-3. Option Parts 5B. Shop- You can buy suits that are either level 1 or suits that you have registered from the unit list 5C. Combine Units- Here you can combine 2 mobile suits from your inventory to make an entirely new mobile suit or combine a suit which has reached it's level cap so that it can continue to level up. You can also add option parts during this process to give your mobile suit increased stats and abilities. Keep in mind that some suits cannot be combined until you reach a certain level or meet certain requirements. I wasn't able to make Zeta Gundam Suits until I reached level 10 of the Zeta series storyline. I was able to make ZZ gundam after the first stage of the ZZ storyline though. 5D. Sell Unit 5E. Repair Unit- you can repair mobile suits that were destroyed durng battle or during special missions. 5F. Scout- Lets you hire on pilots that have been unlocked during missions. =========================================== 6. Collection =========================================== The collection option was added during the last update sometime in January I think. This update is done through the app store and will only show up in your update list if you're signed into your Japanese iTunes account. The collection has all of the mobile suits you've created or seen while you were playing, known combinations for mobile suits, status for level 1 mobile suits, items you've found, and abilities you've unlocked. Here is the list of all the mobile suits that I have in my collection. I'm currently missing 3. Sorry for any misspellings. My katakana is rusty and my knowledge of kanji is almost non-existant: 1. Animation Grid Help Message Default =========================================== 9. Save =========================================== Save the game. Saving also happens at the end of the level or when you combine a suit. =========================================== 10. Useful Kanji =========================================== I'll add more in a future update. 決定 : Kettei - Decide 支援 : Shien - Combination Attack 移動 : Idou - Movement 攻撃 : Kougeki - Attack 確定 : Kakutei - Confirm 反撃 : Hangeki - Counterattack 回避 : Kaihi - Evade 防衛 : Booei - Defense 散布 : Sampu - Scatter ( I think this scatter Minovsky particles ) 変形 : Henkei - Transform 激励 : Gekirei - Encourage 射撃 : Shageki - Shooting; Use this to shoot multiple enemies with a warship 先読み: Sendokumi? - Look ahead; Read the enemy's attack and attack them first =========================================== 11. Capturing Units =========================================== In order to capture units in this game, you have to wait until an enemy warship sends them out into the battlefield. After the suit you want is out, destroy the warship and a white flag will appear of the enemy mobile suit. Move your own warship within range and there will be an option to pick them up. After the mission is complete, a screen will show up letting you pick and choose which suit you want. Selected suits will be added to your roster. You can either combine them with your other suits or sell them for extra capital. Unfortunately, even the suit you captured will not be the same level as the one you fought on the battlefield. =========================================== 12. Leveling Mobile Suits =========================================== Mobile suits have a level cap of 10 levels. So, if you have a level 1 suit, it can go to a max of level 10. If the suit is level 5, it can go up to 15. In order to get past that 10 level cap, you will need to combine it with another mobile suit or the same mobile suit. Mobile suit max levels can be found on the second page of their status screens. I've found that the best way to level a mobile suit is to focus on 1 suit, get it to level 10, register it in the Hangar list, then buy it in the store and combine it with the level 10 suit you already have. Keep doing this until you're at whatever level you want. Here are the Mobile Suit Stats that pop up when you level: Hit Points Energy Attack Strength Defense Evasion Movement =========================================== 13. Useful Suit Combinations =========================================== Here are the basic combinations for the suits I found most useful while playing through the situation mode: Gundam - GM + Guncannon Gundam will get you through most of the earlier stages in the Zeta Gundam storyline since it has a Core Booster so you can run away and get repaired. It'll be good until the 5th mission of Zeta Gunam: Moon Attack 1 where you have to protect Von Braun. Super Gundam - GM II + Methuss/HyakuShiki The missiles on the Super Gundam are extremely useful since they hit up to 7 times and will usually destroy a mobile suit in 1 turn if most of them connect. The downside to the Super Gundam is that it takes too many points to upgrade it's HP and Defense. So, make sure you kill them before they kill you. ZZ Gundam - Zeta Gundam + Methuss Super gundam but better. It's missiles can kill in one turn, it has a Core Fighter, most of it's stats only need 3 points to upgrade it, and in it's G-Fortress mode, you travel farther. You need to transform it to use it's missiles though. With an army of ZZ Gundams, you can beat the game with no problem!! =========================================== 14. Cheats =========================================== Don't do it!!!!!! Well.... do it if you really need to.... I came across this while messing around with the special mission mode and got tired of waiting the 24 hours. This works on the iPod for sure. I can't say for sure if it does with the iPhone or iPad. Make sure you save before you start this in case it messes something up. Once you have all of your suits out on their missions, exit out to the Game Mode Screen. Press the "Home" button and go into the Date/Time settings. Change the day 2 days ahead. ( if you only change it 1 day ahead you'll still have to wait a couple of minutes until your suit will be ready. Go back into the game and re-enter the special mission mode. All of your suits should be finished with their missions. Once again, I really don't recommend doing this since it takes the fun and challenge out of the gameplay. =========================================== 15. Tips and Other Stuff =========================================== - Save every so often in case your game crashes - Abuse the register option alot! If you register a mobile suit you just combined to get past the level cap, all the suits you buy in the shop will have the new level cap. For example; say you got your ZZ gundam to it's max level at level 40 and you register it. If you buy the same level 40 ZZ gundam from the shop, it will be capped already. However, if you take that level 40 ZZ gundam and combine it with the one that was already in your roster, it can go up to level 50. Register the one that is capped at 50 and any registered lvl 40 ZZ Gundam you buy from the shop will have a level cap of level 50. - Feel free to e-mail me if there's any questions you have regarding this game. If I know it, I'll let you know. You can also e-mail me if you need to know if any of the combinations. Just let me know what you're trying to make and I'll tell you what you need to make it. - There are some suits that I don't know how to get: Amuro Ray's Zeta Gundam Z Plus C1/A1 Hi-Nu Gundam All of the Blue Destiny Series Hyaku Shiki Kai Gundam MK-III As far as I can tell, you can't get these from combining. I'm thinking it has something to do with the Quest mode or maybe maxing out a suit's level. Please let me know if you find out how to get these suits. =========================================== 16. Thanks =========================================== My wife- she helped me translate a lot of the kanji in game Bandai Namco for making SD Gundam G Generation Touch - I'm looking forward to SD Gundam G Generation World! Yoshiyuki Tomino for creating Gundam =========================================== 17.Disclaimer and Copyright Info =========================================== All trademarks and copyrights contained in this document are owned by their respective trademark and copyright holders This FAQ is copyright 2011 of P2PRIEST (Minh Nguyen) This may be not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use.
