[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] *THIS COVERS EVERYTHING NON VIP11+ TO SEPTEMBER* Hello and welcome to my Soul Hunters guide. This is a "payORplay" game, but very balanced to make it blurred in the realm of "pay2win". Well, if you think it's pay to win, I have news for you, I'm not only the top non VIP on my server, but 80% of the non VIPS on the top 50 are in my guild. Sounds like bragging? It's a must if you are going to take everything I say seriously, as I've done it all before. Though I consider this a "A way to start a new server" these tips can help mend a broken account... A broken account may never truely be in contention till the higher levels, and an account could be broken by: 1. Upgrading the wrong chars. 2. Not optimizing free items (trails, smuggler, etc) 3. Buying things with limited coins that could be found elsewhere 4. Foolishly missing playing time with the greatest mobile game! There are more, but these are a few, think of it like this, if you level evenly and don't complete, say the level 3/4 trails once they open, you may lose out on a full purple equip a week! Where as, if you focus on just a few core heroes, you can make ends meet later. I will be COMPLETELY honest, the way I play is VERY unconventional, I use many tactics you won't find the top players using (I'm probably the ONLY one on my server who doesn't have Mushi, Ariel, or Marinana) So remember, if you want tips from someone who can get ahead with out the use of cookie cutter strats, or without sinking money into the game like crazy, read on. And lastly, although this is focused on Non-Vip, I'm jealous I can't be one myself, as my phone won't let me! But it's too late for me to care, so I'm making the best of it that I can! Table of Contents (Copy and Paste the item into find, including the "~" figure. It's a tilde, but I refer to it as a "Shwa") ~Choosing the Correct Difficulty ~Hidden Point of the Game ~Story Mode/Campaign ~Arena ~Enchanting/Equipment ~Crucible O' Fire ~Dojo ~Bountiful Caverns ~Guild Life ~Shops/Treasure Chests ~VIP0 Speed Guide ~Cast of Characters [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Choosing the Correct Difficulty Believe it or not, there are difficulty levels in this game. Easy---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Buy gems to reach high VIP levels. Once you unlock a second Crucible, you'll have a unspeakable amount of money, and shouldn't even have to try to figure out proirities. This gives you the ultimate freedom. Want to level more than 5 heroes plus Flora? Go this route. Just one thing, be humble about it. It's all fair, in my opinion, but remember, it's like bringing your own grafite pool stick/cue to a bottom of the barrel bar. You paid for the stick, use it. But you won't get respect if you beat some who is using a bent house stick... and it certinally won't get you points with the crowd if you rub it in that other person it poor. Maybe he's not poor, maybe he just wants to have fun, but once you brag, you can incite rage... and end up walking out with 3 legs. Again, for the purpose of this guide, I'm not really going to give tips at this level directly, but if you wasted gems on say the conjuring stone and ruined an account, there is help, and you can fix it much faster. Normal-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the VIP Card for a normal experience. Now, before I say this, I DO NOT WORK FOR LILITH, not is this a ploy to get you to spend money, but for 2.99U$D a month, is pretty cheap for an otherwise free game. Think about it, that's a dime a day. There used to be lan cafes that would charge FIVE BUCKS AN HOUR to play a game... and Arcades... if you find one today... holy heck I bet you wish you could spend 10 cents a day! The VIP card adds a trival amount of actual VIP points (the first purchase will put you to ~VIP3, I'm not sure), so don't use this as a means to get ahead in that area, however, it does give you 120 diamonds a day, so 3660 for the 30 days... About the levels, you also get free raid tickets but the ones that are important: 50% more guild coins at VIP 6 and the ability to buy more stamina and opening herioc stages a second time. But the good news is, I have the insight to tell you the BEST places to spend these diamonds. Again, I know how to do things, but I'm literally too stubborn to do so in many cases. (Like I just don't care about the Male trail at this moment.) If you aren't spending diamonds on at least two stamina resets a day, you are wasting your VIP account. *If you want to be the best you can be, taking advantage of reseting elite stages will let you level up more hunters than a non VIP, if you aren't doing this and wasting diamonds on the random chest, you are wasting your account away* Hard---------------------------------------------------------------------------- VIP0. The point of this guide is not only to get you to know the basics of the game, but is to put you into contention. At VIP0, you need to seriously focus on the things I mentioned before, like tackling "free" items, and generally using diamonds for your single stamina reset, gold buy, and saving up diamonds for smuggler items (You should buy one diamond chest, I bought 20 like a fool, but your first buy will give you a 3 star hunter) I don't mind sharing this info since I specifically have teams and set-ups to destroy the common and over used... so if you aren't on my server, don't worry about it, and if you are, there is a good chance you'll never catch up, or even care, as you'll be able to take out pretty much anyone who isn't using the same strats I'm rambling on about right this second. But remember, you can always fix your account by the time you hit level 80 (the current level cap) For most of the guide, I'll try to point of the big differences between normal and hard. Like most of my FAQs I write, I try to stay away from EASY mode... so if you are VIP11+, you wasted money if you are reading this :( Nothing I can do to help you, you are probably stubburn and either use hunters out of novelity or spread your upgrades too thin. Remember, VIP card is only 3660 extra diamonds... but since you can only buy stamina once a day and use your gold buy once (60), it shouldn't be hard to maintain a surplus to spend them on vital equips from the smuggler. Since you'll have less campaign raid fuel to farm items, this is a game changer. More on this later, but your goal is top 200 in the arena, not only is it good diamonds, but getting enough to buy a hunterX5 a day is important. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Hidden Point of the Game This game is an "arms" race (like the ones we had with China lololol, who gets that joke? Please don't invade us. You guys make superior RPGs :D ) So basically there are two ways to play the game, you can go carefree or you can can be a contender. If you choose the first option, you really don't need this guide, as you would have more fun doing things yourself... like I did. But since I surround myself with professional players, enemies or not, you can start to see and develop counter strategies... and the only way to do that is to have that strategy to counter down first! Option two is to stay in contention, and this is WHY I LOVE THIS GAME, THE ARMS RACE! Some people hate that you can only do things a certain amount of times a day, but I LOVE IT. Why? Without this feature, everyone would be the same, all maxed out, because lets face it, it is so easy to grind in this game, especially with the raid tickets... But since you have limits, you need to choose, and maximize as fast as possible. Now, if you recall in the opening I said something about a "broken account", well if you choose to go the VIP0, IT HAS TO BE ON A NEW SERVER where about everyone is just starting off... don't expect to migrate to another server and assume this will work... as you'll be a level 1 among 80's... and you'll catch up with barely an arena team, while everyone will have stacked teams for any occasion. So getting ahead, it's super important to be on a new server as a VIP0 needs the arena awards will help fuel your diamond needs. The faster you get higher, the more stuff you can upgrade, and the more you'll be able to do, at an expondentally higher rate. What is high in the Arena? Nothing less than top 200. Also, if you are as good as you need to be, you should be getting a ton of extra wins a day, most people consider VIP0's (grey circle around avatar) weaker, and PEOPLE ALWAYS PREY ON THE WEAK. It is a dog eat dog game/world/whatever. (To see if someone is a VIP, look at their border around their team level number, if it's gold, they are VIP, even if they change their border. This can only be seen if they type in Global, seen in your guild, or the Ranking sections. Having the VIP card will allow much leeway... and the besides the arena, the next biggest place to race is Team level, but that's in another section, for the purpose of this section: Respect the limited tries approach this game has, as it creates balance. Trust me, if you don't screw around, you will see results. And once you get ahead, it's VERY hard to fall behind. On last thing about staying in contention in this section: You need to play every day. You should be able to knock out the majority of the hard stuff in your lunch break, then after work, then before bed. Take this advise the most: Sign on as early as possible (5am west coast, 8am east coast USA) The creators are so figgen smart... they start the "day rollover" at 5am. Making us get up at decent times! It's important to sign in early to start the 3 hour feast timer. Then remember to sign on again in 3 hours to start the next timer. Guess what? You are now either going to wake up at 5, to make sure you are spent so you don't waste stuff by noon. At noon, 6pm, and 9pm IT IS VITAL you get the shop refreshes. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Story Mode/Campaign This is the main story mode, all battles are 3 screens of fun filled played out movies (why I call it an Anti-RPG), one of the few places things like HP/Energy regen actually matter. Now, there are currently 10 or so chapters unlocked in this game, and unless you need to get to the raids for your Guild (explained later), I wouldn't worry about "beating" the game. Since this game gives out random heros from chests, and everyone levels up different chars, I really can't (or won't) give out tips and set-ups, other than DO NOT TRY TOO MANY TIMES IF YOU FAIL! Although the failed stamina used gets added to your team exp, you will not get the items... so it's best to try once or twice. If you fail, then try again at a higher level. It makes a huge difference. I once had a 56 "3 Star" me in the arena (5 Alive, my 5 dead), but once I got to his level, I did the same to him. This is mostly because of skills that "Always" work if you have them leveled up. The campaign is important for these main reasons and I will give you tips. Before you read on, I jsut want to make this clear, I just turned 57, and in less than two days, I'll be 58 with all Purple+1's and all 4 stars (save for Alana, who has few stages) 1. Figure out who you will immedaitly need, VS someone you can take time on. ---What I mean by this is, if you know you like someone, DO THERE HEROIC campaign levels ASAP, like literally DAY 1 till they are 7 stars. Unlike equipment, levels, and skills, stars can't be gotten in a flash of time. For VIP0: You'll want to farm for 4 hunters. You'll need at least 6 hunters. 1 will be your arena tank, I choose Esabel (Hanzo is another choice, but he's too random for my tastes) Just like the next hero, you can't farm for them, and on non VIP salary, they will hit the next star level MUCH MUCH faster than any campiagn hero. 2 will be a crucible hunter, I choose the Wolfy, he's a game changer. You can use the other two magic chicks (ariel or marinana, but remember, magic falls off a cliff at higher levels, and you don't want to spread too thin. However, if you don't care about the arena (which you should) leveling these evenly will help with the Crucible of Fire. 3 will be Ember. Don't question this, she has the fastest to unlock 3 herioc stages. Unlike her boyfriend Elric, who is a good tank, he can be replaced with an arena tank, each that do more damage and stun just as much or even more. (Having her 3 stages fast and starting at 2 stars will allow you to keep her close to the other 1 star hunters listed above, unlike them, you can't get her stones in the gold chest) 4 will be a 1 star hero, this is so you can use the gold chest to get them up there in stars. I choose Gale, as she gets a few extra stones from quests eailer in the game... AND YOU NEED A SILENCER! Obivously she isn't needed as much if you choose Ariel, so keep this in mind. 5 will be Flora. Do not question this. 6 will be your free hero from the diamond chest. I got lucky and pulled Alana, who I was going to use any ways, but whomever you pull or want, I would recommend ALWAYS draining their stages every day. WARNING: Do not try to fall in love with your 3 star hunter, they can't be farmed, and on a VIP0 salary, you can't just expect to have a full team of them. See, I said it to many people would beat me at a low level with Mushi/Centuar etc, that they will run into a wall and plataeu. This is happening to everyone on my server who isn't VIP. While I'm running 4 4 stars, they are relying on these short bursts of strenght. VIP1-15: You have much more freedom as you can reset stages, but I'll make this simple, ONLY reset stages of the people you are using for the arena, and try not use more than 20 diamonds per stage unless it is during a double soul stone event. So if a hero is exclusive to campaign, and you want him, make sure you start as early as possible to avoid wasting diamonds later like me! Here they are: Selene: Good one shot magic, great unless you get unlucky and peg someone with low health. (Use Mort in place of her if non vip) Leah: Never used her, but the people I play against who do end up charging my back hunters faster, use with caution. She does revert to a tank if she is in the front. Ember: Great hunter, with two attacks that are all hitting magic, she will no doubt the top damage dealer early on. I use her out of novelity now, and if you are a higher VIP, Osris and Selena are better choices. Elric: One of the best tanks, after all him and Ember are the main chars. But just like Ember, they start off strong, and will fall off if you don't contantly farm their stones. He is also one of the weaker tanks in terms of damage dealing, remember that for if you choose the Wolf as support, as he is better with Esabel. Musashi: Super strong in the start (along with all the other 3 star diamond chest hunters) but I rarely see him get off his special against me. But if it gets off, watch out, things are dying. Alana: My favorite, VERY hard to use effectively, only use her if you like to finish with style. Urestag: Great in the start, but his auto heal will do jack once opponents get stronger. Lucius: And underused anti-magic user. I have no comment. Osiris: If you avoid gale and ariel, this chick is a must! Sumiko: Under used... I don't even know what she does besides throw wind and fans. Vincent: The "free" VIP hero, later levels his phyical defense will bring him down. Great for the Crucible. Arachna: With too few places to use her, and not many earily stone locations, I rarely see her. Torsen: If you are going to level up an extra person, choose him, as the majority of people use magic teams, he can be put in, in the event you face someone like me, who doesn't. If you are VIP0, it is urgent you figure out who you need, and start farming the second the herioc stages open up. 2. Avoid raiding elite stages that have "1 Star Heroes", which include any of the ones you start with UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO USE THEM IN YOUR ARENA TEAM. Again, this is less important if you are VIP, as you'll have more money and freedom in the amount of hunters you can gather. So here is a list, and naturally, if you REALLY need them fast, sure, do both raids and gold chests (Basically all these hereos I mention, can be bought in the gold chest, which I'll explain more about in a later section) Gale Flora Drago Mortus Boomer Leon Currently there are no campaign stages that feature Crucible, Arena, or Guild Raid only hunters, so there is no need to worry about putting staminia in a more important place first. 3. Soul Stones drop an average of 1/3 of the time... but there is a rule, as with purple/gold items, YOU CAN NEVER GET A SOUL STONE TWICE IN A ROW! Keep in mind, you can sometimes go four stages before getting a stone... So advice if you want to be frugal, if you have say, two tries left after getting a soul stone, it's a big gamble if you'll get another soul stone. It's happened to me many times, but you'll never have to worry about wasting tries if you don't. I do not know if the data cycles over to the next day, I don't care. Most heroes have two stages, so getting 3 2 3 2 4 3 2 in over a week isn't going to make a huge difference over 3 4 3 4 3 4 3. 4. Start with the higher EXP giving stages first when farming. Since most hunters (especially Embar, who's later stages in 6 don't drop stones) are in many tiers, it's better to do to the better stages first, this is for obvious reasons. Other Campaign tips: When you farm for items, make sure you try to stick with one item. Towards the end of the game, items not only drop less, but they take a crazy amount of fragments, like 40. So I tend to avoid them all together, and find them in other ways... remember if you are VIP0, you'll have less stamina tries. When using the Raid button, it may seem wise to jam the Raid ten button if you are a VIP, as it saves 3 tickets, but you can end up wasting stamina if you get the items you need, and the last raid was nothing. I personally avoid raiding, not only does it waste items, and makes the game go faster. Enjoy it, use different heroes... A tip from me: As you can only hold 999 exp items, if you spread exp around to your chars from the Campaign, they have that exp forever. Since raiding gives you equal amounts in exp items, you can sometimes waste them, leaving you in a pickle once you level up, more on that in the Exp section ***WARNING: This game DOES round up generously, so figure out if Raiding can get you a great boost, but on a non VIP salary, you won't have enough raid tickets to raid everything, so make sure you just auto battle the easy levels when you are eating a meal, or something. Beware, the enemies in the Campaign DO NOT FOLLOW THE SAME GAME CODES AS YOU DO. They have extremely high levels and low ranks/stars... but they are usually much stronger than them... most times, if you are weak, the first wave is the hardest, as you don't have specials charged up. Keep in mind that the enemy hunters DO NOT FOLLOW THE SAME GAME CODES AS YOU DO. Why did I say that again? Don't worry about "damaging" too much before special get off... as everyone knows, the "weaker" hero usually wins the mirror match as he will charge the counterparts heroes faster, that may be true for the Arena but not in story mode... enemy heroes blast off specials at certain times, usually too fast, so the use of silence and other Tom Foolery may be needed. So if you are wondering why Alana in that one second stage is killing your Flora, this is why. ALWAYS try to buy as much stamina you can afford, but remain making a diamond profit. Many players are against buying items, but I like diamonds incase of an emergency... again, I *would* burn gems on arena cool downs, so DO NOT DO THAT. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Arena Some basics your rank is calculated at the end of this games "day" which is 9:00PM, so if you are constantly getting de-ranked ALWAYS save your last arena fight for this time (9pm pacific time, aka the west coast of the USA) It's important to remember that just because you out class an enemy, does NOT MEAN YOU WILL BEAT THEM. Here is why: Lets say you have an Mortstar, as does the enemy... If you are just one level higher, you will likely attack faster, filling up the enemies special meter faster... then guess what? YOU'LL TAKE THAT ONE HIT KILL NUKE TO THE FACE! Respect opponents you beat at higher levels in this matter, otherwise you not only look like a jerk, but you show you know NOTHING about the game! Same with equip levels, you can easily take on, say, a team of stacked Purple +3's with a team of Purple +2's. It's important to remember that enchanting comes into play, more on that in the enchanting section. Someone has a a stacked mage team like an idiot? Use a silencer. Too many Phyical hunters? Torsen. Now on a non VIP salary, it may be hard to get a large amount of counters fast, so that's why it's important to focus on a core 5 balanced hunters (from the start of the game on) and Flora. The reason it's important for a VIP0 to get ahead ASAP is the diamonds, not the arena tokens. These will help keep you alive in buying stamina and purchasing purple items from the Black Smugglers. One important thing about the arena, NEVER SPREAD OUT YOUR SOUL STONE REDEMPTIONS! Out of all the shops, you get FAR less regular arena tokens, so makes sure you know who you need or want, and stick with it! More on that in the shop section. For defense, you don't want to stack too many of the same type of heroes. In earlier levels, people tend to use Flora and the other Centaur to stall the timer, this is annoying, but these people won't make it high up as this strategy falls off the charts pretty fast. You get 10 tries a day (unlike the rules saying 5... hmm, are they alluding to a "Grander" arena?!?!? hmm...) so try to get as many wins as possible. If you are a non-vip, not only does this help in the beginning to level up your hunters (you'll get a better pace once you hit the 40's to take sometimes two days to level up as with the newly opened cave which gives EXP SWISS CHEESE!) Do not just get a high rank, and forget it. This may not be an issue if you are like 1500. But once you get to the higher levels, you'll run into road blocks... as a non VIP there are just so people you can't kill, so don't get stuck with one to fight! This will not only make you lose out on some wins, but you'll be sniped at 9pm! I prefer to remember who deranks me, then I'll attack a member of that clan, making them weaker, then blaming it on the original attacker. This is called an deterant, and VITAL rule in ANY Arms race game or real life scenario. So to recap that wall of text, if you see 5 people you can kill, kill them in order, don't just take the high rank. Another pro-tip and one I'm notorious for using: The imfamous bait and switch. Never EVER completely max out your hunters, keep yourself just weak enough to be a target. This way when someone barely kills you, you can instantly get stronger and get revenge at 9pm (by using Skills, Enchants, even Fuse levels if you are as devious as me.) Lastly, the formula to seeing higher ranks, is based off how high you are, For instance, you need to be rank 7 to attack 1, but 4000 can see 2000. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Enchanting/Equipment Like most games, you can upgrade your equipment. At first glance, you might not think this is important... oh baby is it important. This section right here, alone, can give you that edge, OR EVEN BREAK YOUR CHARACTER! (Not the good kind of broken) Ok, the basics. To upgrade an item, you use both items and gold. This is pretty obvious, and you should be doing this at least once a day for the free quest. In reguards to the gold: Other than the two circumstances I'll list below, try to NEVER enchant the last star on bad items, or even "OK" items. A bad/OK item is one that has one/many low abilities. The marginal amount of increase isn't worth the hundreds of thousands. A good item is something with either a large boost (like weapons with +40 attack, you'll notice the difference) OR a unique ability, such as Life Steal, basically ones you don't see often. In reguards to the items you'll be using: I personally keep 100 of every item, though many go down to 20. One this for sure: TRY TO NEVER JUST SELL ITEMS! You never know! Now, some tips, items that need reels/fragments, try to avoid using them, unless you know you won't need them. Like Hefty Axes, you might need those for things down the line, and absolutely don't use any item that is in a recipe for items you know you are going to need. The good news is, once you start opening the gold chest and start getting blue items, you'll have a few in the 100's by the time you get to them that offer a ton, which is good. You do get some of the materials back when you promote, but not nearly enough of what you put in, AND it's important to know THAT WHAT THE ENCHANTING GIVES YOU WASTED WHEN YOU PROMOTE... Read like two paragraphes down for details. Ok, that's the easy stuff, you got that? Now here is the thing that can give you that boost, or make you get that light bulb over your head and say "oh that's why I'm getting killed by Purple+2's and I'm Purple+3!" ***DO NOT GET P+3 CONFUSED WITH STACKED P+3*** What does that mean? 9 times out of 9, a FULLY euqipped/enchanted Purple+2 is STRONGER THAN A PURPLE+3 WITH NO EQUIPS! I'm going to give an example, but if you take ONE THINGS FROM THIS SECTION, it is to NEVER promote unless you have at least 3 items (including a good item), I personally do it at four equips. (Again, assuming you fully enchant gear, if you didn't, it's wise to remember that you can't get that person "stronger at will" if you fuse with garbage items. You can see what you need for the next equip level by clicking on the yellow shirt logo. It might be hard saving rare items and seeing a green dot, and holding it from someone who needs it... but that's what I love about this game, it gives you so many choices. One last tip: Don't bother with enchanting max before purple +1, unless you just hit say, purple, and want to have an absolutely unbeatable arena team. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~~Crucible O' Fire The reason I play this game! Ok, so the basics of basics: Your opponents teams are from your server, and are those from their Arena set up. Now opponents are choosen based off your rank, the first 5 being WAY below your skill, and the final three usually being MUCH MUCH stronger. When I say "rank" I mean your top 5 heroes. For this guide, you need to understand this next section to a T. IF YOU ARE ONLY MAKING IT TO THE 9th/10th STAGE AS A VIP0 YOU ARE DOING IT RIGHT! You can trick the crusible by leveling up hunters evenly, way below you team level, then hire a stronger hunter in a guild... I AM AGAINST THIS. DO NOT DO THIS. Instead, as VIP0 (with a VIP1-15, you'll have way more freedom to have more hunters.), until you get to the purple fuse equip level, it isn't hard to get 15/15. Hunters are much easier to maintain at that point. Once you get to the Purple levels, you won't be able to maintain everyone while having a high arena rank... and since arena gives you diamonds, what do you think is better? See, also before purple, hunters like Ember (Ariel/Marina too) can carry your team to like the 12's! Pop a special off after her AOE fire blast, and you should kill everyone, and BAM! charged for the next fight. Now, if you hear my call high VIPs easy mode, it's because at a certain VIP level, YOU GET TWO CRUCIBLES! (No wagon coins in the second one...) Why is that easy? The normal crusade gives you an INSANE amount of coins. Basically, the crusade gives you money that you can't get any where else, not even close. Ok, I'll try to stop hitting enter so much... The Crucible is also the easiest shop to max out or to get rich in, so I'd suggest you work on getting it done ASAP. The good news is, if you think you are in over your head, and are having trouble... it means you are too strong. A little story about a person on my server, he was my second recruit and first defect, he left because we weren't putting in maxed Elric so he could cheat the system. We are the same level, I'm 20-29 most days on the Arena, I doubt he is top 200... my Crucible ends at level 60's at my level of 56, his tops out at 50's... AND HE IS A 56!!!!! So it's up to you, the crucible is a perfect balance to play catch up, the stronger you are, the less money you should need... BUT DO NOT CHEAT THE SYSTEM, it's not cool, you don't get girls this way :P Before I get into set-ups and junk, the crucible is set up like this. (WC = Water Closet or Wagon Coins) 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 []---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[]---[] | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 400WC | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 300WC | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 300DC | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | | | 200DC | | | | | Items | | | | | | | | | Items | | | | | | | Items | | | | | 100DC | | Items | | | Items | Items Who to use: ALWAYS USE FLORA, infact, a smart thing to do is to hire ANOTHER flora, and keep her spare. Before Purple: Every one should be used to get their specials up. After Purple: Using these weaker hunters will just charge up enemies specials more, so don't bother with them. For hunters to get, any "Nuke", like Ariel, Alana, etc, those with all hitting "Area of Effect" spells are key to keep on reserve. Always try to get tanks, and as of writing this, I might need to level up more of them! Tanks will die, and there large health pools hardly get filled from Flora's healing. For VIPS: Vincent, there is no reason not to use him. Fun fact: You can find not only your own guild mates in crusade, but even yourself at the end if you are at the top of your server. Of, and the most important tip... YOU CAN PAUSE THE GAME IF YOU ARE DOING BAD AND RESET! Use this if say your special gets nulled or you get hit with theirs. Using the above rule, watch out for Ariel and Mariana, they can end you instantly. Also watch out for Musashi, he can end you fast as well. Last tip, never waste a special to kill the last few people (unless it's the archer centaur or Mariana), because if you let a Flora heal, it can actually help you gain special juice! [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Dojo These Trials are for getting extra items, but at the cost of stamina. Once you open them up, strive to complete them as quick as possible, once you have them down, you'll never have to worry about them again. It depends on your set-ups which ones you'll want to try for first. A general tip is that the first two non-sexist dojo events offer more important and more used items. Physical Challenge: Stack your heavy hitters in this one + Flora. If you are following my FAQ, you shouldn't have trouble with this one at all. I double DARE you to disagree. Magic Users Only: As with the above, only stick a tank in the front. Most of the enemes are too weak to overpower a tank. Oh, and + Flora. Females/Males Only: This one is obvious who you can use, but they are difficult to maintain on a non VIP's salary. If you are like me, you should have at least the Wolf from the Crucible and a guild hero soon, which is also a male to help you out. I got lucky and own like 11 pairs of cloud walkers, so I neglected this dojo, the female one should be easy (+ Flora). The reason I'm not helping as much here as the other parts is because the amount of items you get in the second and up verisons aren't game breaking. However, the 1st tier... yes, you will be needing a ton of those items. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~~Bountiful Caverns Caves don't have any rare items in them, and I'm not going to go in too deep with what you need to do. However, I STRONGLY URGE THAT YOU GET STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAT THEM ASAP! Snakey Folks---------------------------------------------------- The easier level with those snake bodied hunters. If you follow this FAQ, as with the Dojo's, you should have no problem. I never really failed one, so as long as you are playing every day, getting your skills up, and your hunters are equal to your team level, you should be fine. Only after you open the 3rd (heroic) version of this stage do you get a massive amount of EXP items, so you should never dip below your current level. Machines---------------------------------------------------------- The hard one, and only because of the double turtle ballistas found in the 3rd (heroic) version. Basically if you didn't level up Flora to be able to use a heal before she dies, you will have trouble with this fight. Otherwise, if you followed my FAQ (and leveled her) this shouldn't be an issue. It is less important than the above, but still VERY important to be able to do. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Guild Life Guilds are the clan system in this game, and if you join one, you have access to another shop. Unless you are like me and create a certain type of guild (Quality/Assassin guild), don't create one UNLESS you are at the start of new server. Here is why... if you are later to the party, no one is going to join a new guild, when newer people search, they are 99% more likely to join the guild with 47/48/49 people over the group of friends of 3/4/5. But, if you can get a good 10 or so people, don't worry it can balance itself out well. The biggest reason to join a guild is part take is guild raids, in which you'll replay stages from chapter 7 and on. The enemies are different, they have A TON OF HEALTH (that does not regen), and can only be played if you beat that stage in "normal" campaign. You get money for each raid, and if you do two a day, you'll get roughly enough coins to buy a hero token from the shop every too days. Now, lets talk about balance. To a max of 600 points a day (which is VERY easy to do), you can add to your guilds "raid ham", it's that large number in the guild's top right corner, max of 200,000 (raids range from 40,000 to 70,000). So seeing that, you can see how a larger guild can open raids faster... But here is the double edged sword, you'll have to share more loot, and quite possibly with people that just entered the guild that didn't earn it. Bottom line, play for quality, not quanity. Activeness ties into quality, but not for the wrong reasons (opening raids). If you need to kick your best players for missing a weekend or a few points a day, you are admitting you suck... as any Pro player uses raids for a bonus, and not a serious means of obtaining items. Remember to co-oridinate with your members for the merc camp, this is a part of the game that a lot of people neglect. For instances, don't put in your best just because he's strong, EVERYONE has a strong hunter all ready. Use male only heroes during male dojo days, etc. Remember, which ever side of the leader button you are on, be true to your opposite. For leaders, don't treat members as just raid ham meat, try to talk with them and find out what's wrong. TRUST me, you don't want to kick anyone with charisma, it will bite you back. And for recruits, don't lie about your skills. If you join a guild that demands 600/600. do it, or leave. Leaders can check all this info. For instance, if I sign on, and seen someone that did a raid everyday, but contribs like hardly any stamina, I kick them, I know they were trying to use me (I had a guy with 8 raids, so 4 days of playing, but his contribution was only like 92... now come on, I'm not dumb, at his level, the max stamina is 14X, your telling me he couldn't just raid ticket the rest?) Again, if you want to keep your guild a float and happy, never waste stamina, sign on for a few minutes at noon, 6pm, and 9pm and burn though your free ham, buy stamina twice a day min (again, this is for you mostly, helps keep you a contender). Besides all that, know your guild before you join. If you are a social person and like to talk, don't join a serious guild. Serious players don't like to screw with BS, and can usually figure things out in an auto battle RPG for them selves. The use of Translate.com can make a the difference between a leader and legendary leader. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Shops/Treasure Chests There are MANY shops in this game, and right before I get to the VIP0 section, it is VITAL to (ab)use them as much as you can... after all, this is an arms race... get ahead fast, get better rewards, stay ahead. Ok, so lets tell you how to get them coins faster. Remember how the gold chest spits out those 1 star hunter cards and stones? If you buy 1-3 gold chests a day, you'll have them at a fair level so you can fill in the gaps with your dojo and have extra meat in the crucible. Gale, Flora, Drago, Leon, Boomer, and the grim reaper guy are in there. Amoung the items you can get, these will help you in the long run. And this IS A LONG GAME. Buy 1 chest a day. Buy 2 if it's a day with the machine cave. Buy 3 if you make it to the end of the Crucible. That's my winning strat, and I've never had a problem with items. Buy one diamond chest min for the free 3 star hunter, I bought 20, and regret it, even though I got great items. After that, if you are VIP, diamonds are best spent on stamina and reseting herioc stages. If you aren't VIP, the diamonds are better spent on purple items from the Dark Smuggler. The Smuggler appears randomly when you do campaign stages, and will hold purple items that cost around 350. Buy the ones you need, but only the ones that require 30/40 fragments, using that many gems on an easy to make one is a waste. The regular shop refreshs 9am, noon, 6pm, and 9pm, so be sure you visit it often. I personally will buy any items that costs just gold. Do it. They will come in handy when you enchant people. Never buy hunter stones if they cost diamonds, unless it is a hunter you are using for your current team, but the ones that cost 20,000 are a good idea. With the Smuggler, you may need to skip a few as they are quite expensive. Ok, now a quick overview of the other shops. But this tips holds true for ALL shops, NEVER BUY, say, A Purple ITEM WITH A LOT OF EASY TO MAKE PARTS, ONLY ever buy the hardest to make items. This is because even very common items are expensive, and are added to the price. But generally only buy hunter stones in them, as they are more important. Lets start with the Crucible shop, if you are following my winning strats, you'll focus on just one hero at a time. It's ok to buy all three power chars (Wolf, Butterfly, Unicorn), but not past 3 stars. See, my wolf will hit 5 stars pretty soon, and people that are leveling them evenly? Well they'll have an easy to kill 3 star team. True this will make your crucible harder, but in retrospec, what is more important? Gold and the chance of getting items, or more diamonds which can get you items? More diamonds, of course from the arena. Same goes for the Arena and Guild shop, don't spread out buys, you really need to pick one hunter. The Arena shop is VERY important, as you'll get a tank to 5 stars way before any other tank in the game. Again, I can't stress this enough, try to only focus on one hero at a time, and refresh the shops if needed (till the cost goes above 10 coins). [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~VIP0 Speed Guide Ok, since you want to become a pro, I'm assuming two things: 1. You aren't an im**** (sorry, but I'm being blunt, if you are asking questions that are either answered here, or in the in-game help files, you all ready don't have what it takes, buy the VIP card, and skip this section.) 2. You read every part of this guide, or breezed through it because you aren't an **bred (again, being blunt, but 50% of this guide is either common knowledge, or super easy to figure out... ) First thing to do is to make sure you are on a new server, if you aren't, you are going to have a tough time getting gems. I joined a late server to where I was getting 240-280 arena coins a day, you need to make sure you are getting 500. To do this, when you join a server, look at the top players and guilds. If there is one or two guilds, and the top players are around 33-35, you'll be fine. I was in a server with players already at purple. Follow the games directions, and set WHICH campaign heroes you want to farm ASAP, and do them everyday. You can't pick them all, refer to the campaign section above if you skimmed through it. You next goal is to hit AT LEAST the 700's your first day in the server, that can be tough, but ALWAYS keep your heroes at your maxed level, and focus on getting skills up ASAP. Money shouldn't be the issue, it should be that 5 minutes timer, so in the start, you'll want to sign on every hour and burn them up. If you can make it to the top 700's, you should never get lower, now it's important to get as MUCH team EXP as you in the early levels, once you get ahead, you'll only get better. With in your next 3 days, YOUR arena rank SHOULD NEVER FALL BELOW 200! (Keep in mind, if you are VIP0, YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BE #1, there are always going to be people that drop a ton of money in this game, though it can happen in the long run, don't count on it early on, it's best to not even worry about these poeple, if you need help on this, just say to yourself "They are playing on Easy mode", or something like that... but not out loud, be humble.) Now, before we getting into who to buy in shops, you start with 5 heroes, you'll want to replace Flora with THE FIRST 3 star hero you get out of the Gold Chest, I got lucky and pulled Alana, You may get a crap hero like the centaur, he'll work, but don't get attached to him. The next hero two hunters should be replaced with an Arena tank (Elric was ditched) and a Crucible power house (I ditched Mort) Ok, so once you hit 200 in the arena, you'll be getting 500 coins a day. For maximum bang for your buck, Esabel is supreme, I never regretted getting her. Now, for staying in the top 200's, you'll need to be on EVERY DAY. I never leave the top 50's... but top 200 is a must! In between the Arena and Crucible, you'll open caves and dojo, they shouldn't be hard, but make sure you are dominating them before the next ones open up. In the Crucible, your first 4 times might end before the 15th... but that's ok, but after that, YOU SHOULD NEVER DIP BELOW A PERFECT FINSIH until you hit purple equips, but for the sake of being fair, you really only need to be able to maintain a 9/15 every day. Again, all while doing this, NEVER skip a day farming for hunter stones in the campiagn, the only exception will be a double item drop day, in which I would still recommend farming for your lowest hunter. Ok, now you have a choice, do you make a guild or join another? You are going to want to be in a guild no matter what. The free 240 coins a day is great. If you choose to make a guild, but don't want to worry about stragglers taking your loot, kick them all before you all start raiding, though this is scummy, and the items in the first couple raids aren't worth... basically it takes a long time to open a raid solo, but the key is TO ALWAYS HAVE ONE OPEN... if you are solo, and you don't have enough points for the next raid, go into battle with a level 1 and lose the fight. For Guild shop, again, choose one hunter to redeem. This person doesn't matter. At this point, you should have EVERYONE you need, and know who to focus on, the guild shop hero can replace one eventually, but I don't use one yet. Once you are at this point, you no longer need me to help you, and the only thing to worry about is getting equipment, always plan ahead. Last but not least, start enchanting at a purple +2 and on, and do it to your tanks first, then any of Flora's gear which makes her heal better (any item that has magic, INT, or Healing % up.) If you plan ahead, and use these simple guidelines, you'll be a top player on your server WITHOUT SPENDING A DIME! [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ~Cast of Characters Finally, the staff role, keep in mind, THESE ARE MY OPINIONS, but I've been around to see who's good and who's not. Also I'm breezing through this, so It's not going to give stats and all skills or equips... They are in ABC order, so no table of contents. If you don't know the ABC's, please return your andriod phone to your parents, you are a liability with it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alana Appearance- Purple ninja chick, reminds me of Raziel from Legacy of Kain Found------ Campaign Summary: Expert use hunter, never use close to the front line, her special takes the longest to charge, and for a good reason, it's usually a game over for the opposing side. If she gets a kill, her shield will pop up. Use her with poison people to make this happen more. She alone is the key to taking on teams much higher level than you. A kind of Hidden Needle in your arsenal in the haystacks of cookie cutters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alastair Appearance- Old man with staff. Found------ Guild Shop Summary: I've only faught one, and it was a VIP above my level (and it was the same day as writing this). Here is what I need to say: HE TURNS PEOPLE INTO DUCKS, what manner of Imperial Exacution is that? The duck is treated as a better stun. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arachna Appearance- A lady with spider legs. Found------ Campaign Summary: A rarely used hunter, which is a shame no one gives this Spider Queen any love! That also means I know jack about her :( ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ariel Appearance- A butterfly Found------ Crucible Wagon Summary: A very broken hunter (had to be nerfed), she has good durability as a magic user, and so many of her skills target everyone. This can be used against her as it will charge the other team more... and in the end game, magic gets weaker. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boomer Appearance- A little goblin with googles and a gun. Found------ Campaign and Gold Chest Summary: He is surprising strong for a back line Sniper, though many people don't use him. He is a very good choice ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drago Appearance- A big orc Found------ Campaign and Gold Chest Summary: A very durable tank, again, many people don't use him. He would be a great alternetive to Elric if Esabel was up on he high horse. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Zeno Appearance- A walking brain and eyes in a vat of yellow stuff. Found------ Crucible Wagon Summary: I have no good data on him besides he is entertaining to watch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elric Appearance- A standard Elf knight with human ears... Found------ Campaign Summary: A solid tank, but not too strong, I suggest replacing him with Esabel if you aren't VIP, if you are VIP, you start with him, and he has many levels. He stays alive like a true Captain, and doesn't do any girly things to suggest he isn't the Admiral of his army! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ember Appearance- Hot chick in a red hat and thong. Found------ Campaign Summary: A very important hunter at the start of the game, and many earily stages to farm for her stones. She may fall off in the end, I use her out of novelity, nothing says hot than a batting a fireball across the map! (I'm not even going to crack a joke for her, her entire character is a great way to mock plagerizing and uNcool hacks :D)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enrique
Appearance- Bard with a harp and cat
Found------ Arena Shop
Summary:
I can't validate ever using a male with a harp and a cat... sorry, no imput
on him besides he's a good redeem choice if you have a solid tank, and don't
need an arena tank.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Esabel
Appearance- A purple chick on a unicorn
Found------ Arena Shop
Summary:
I'm very baised towards her, and who I consider the most important hero for
ANY non VIP, it's why I stress playing every day and staying in the top 200.
Her cyclone stab is the strongest tank attack in the game, and if you are
fighting, say, Vincent, she's usually kill him with it.
NEVER use her as your only tank, as her special will leave your next in line
exposed... but like a true Commander, she'll return.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flora
Appearance- A green deer, or fox, or something with four legs.
Found------ Campaign and Gold Chest
Summary:
She is the single most important hunter in the game, that's all I'm saying.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gale
Appearance- A green archer.
Found------ Campaign, Some Earily Quests, and Gold Chest
Summary:
A very clutch hunter, super strong for a back line, with the ability to
silence with no magic of her own, he is the TRUE silencer of this game.
She is also good at taking out the double centaur combo (Flora and the other
archer) which her special.
When in campaign, always try to fire her special after everyone elses so it
can kill off more people, as her special recharges slowly, this will help
it be more than a Shadow of a doubt.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hanzo
Appearance- A ninja with dual claws
Found------ Arena Shop
Summary:
A random hunter for sure... with dodges and random targets with his special.
I personally don't mind fighting him for the same reasons I don't mind fighting
Leah, he can charge the specials of the enemy at weird intervals and good
bite you in the butt if you aren't careful!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leah
Appearance- A blonde Amazon
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
Never really seen her used to well and her special doesn't do damage... her
regular attack hits every one so it may actually screw things up unless you
use a lot of silence.
She will drop her bow the get Vengence if the front line dies, making her a
hybrid tank/mid line.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leon
Appearance- Your white knight in shining armor
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
Tip: He was given out for free in a promo code.
Anti Tip: I forget the code.
He's a true Cleric, which means he's weak and just protects people. He's
terrible VS magic users, and no one uses him...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucius
Appearance- A purplish thing.
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
A true Soul Hunter that can nerco undead for him. I heard many people don't
like to use him, but with the slew of magic users at every level, I wouldn't
say ditch him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mariana
Appearance- Another chick on a unicorn
Found------ Crucible Wagon
Summary:
Good for the place she is found in, the official website even recommends the
use of her for the crucible, but I don't use her.
She is super strong, and her Mystick powers let her blast off her special if
you are on auto mode and she is about to die.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mortus
Appearance- Grim Reaper
Found------ Campaign and Gold Chest
Summary:
A single person nuke, with ability to sleep them and regain energy, there is
a good chance he is killing someone.
His problem lies in the fact during Arena, you can't time it correctly, thus
you'll often kill someone who is close to dying.
Esabel is the only tank that can be a bad choice... or a good choice VS him
depending on who is the second in line.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Musashi
Appearance- A samurai snake
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
IF you can get his special off, you'll send the enemies to the Depths! IF.
He is super strong, and the only way to counter him is to be faster with
interupting him. He's more like a Bear, super strong, and believe, I can't
say it enough, everything he does is strong.
Flora is actually a good counter as every miss you make him do is a god send.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Osiris
Appearance- Egyption, four legs.
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
A true Master Mage, not only does she raise the powers of your other magic
users, but she can silence as well!
Her attack is super strong, and on par with Mort and Selene.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Selene
Appearance- Blonde elf chick
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
Read above, use her if you want a strong magic user. It all depends on if you
get her from a diamond chest, otherwise I'd not bother with her.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Serafina
Appearance- An angel
Found------ Conjuring Stone (VIP11 only)
Summary:
I don't know much about her besides that she can destroy front lines with
magic pretty easily.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slim
Appearance- A red trench coat gunslinger
Found------ Guild Shop
Summary:
I'm currently redeeming him, the only thing I know is he is a very strong
single damage hunter.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sumiko
Appearance- Snake chick with a fan
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
No one uses her, it's probably because there are much more magic users out
there at the moment.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Torsen
Appearance- A Gold dwarf
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
He is a tank to use VS physical teams, nothing fancy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ulfang
Appearance- A blue wolf
Found------ Crucible Wagon
Summary:
A game breaker, those who use him have a huge advantage over people that don't,
though his boosts aren't long lasting, trust me, it's enough to make a
difference in who's tanks fall dead first.
Great on physical parties, but you'll need another tank as he is squishy. He
may not be the Commando who hides like a coward, which means he usually dies.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Urestag
Appearance- Centaur with black beard and bow.
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
Great when everyone is weak, he's a Profession Killer in which he will pick
hunters off, one by one, that's all he does.
If you are using him against a team with a lot of interupts or high damage, he
will just sit there buffing himself for no reason.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vincent
Appearance- A vampire
Found------ Campaign
Summary:
Great Crucible hunter as his special heals himself, but down the line, his
physical defense will make him pretty hard to use many other places.
