Credits -------------------------------- 1.Introduction -------------------------------- Welcome to the Reverse Rebirth FAQ, if you have not beaten the Sora story, I suggest that you leave immediately because this FAQs has spoilers. In Reverse Rebirth you no longer play as Sora, but as Riku, Soras rival from the first Kingdom Hearts. You will lead Riku up from the basement of Castle Oblivion, all of this is happening around the same time Sora is coming up Castle Oblivion. This walkthrough will help you on your way, Rikus battle system is a lot different from Soras, everything is at a much faster pace. -------------------------------- 2. Battle System -------------------------------- A. Using the Deck -------------------------- At this point you should be comfortable using the Battle System in the game. Rikus is almost the same but with some major tweaks. The most notable of them all is the inability to make your own deck. Every level you go into gives you a set amount of cards that you can't change. Its also important to see that there is only one type of card you can use, the Soul Eater, Rikus sword from the first Kingdom Hearts. You will only get one partner in the hole game and that is Mickey Mouse. When you summon him he will attack all enemies on the screen, stun them, and heal you. This is very helpful because you have no healing cards, or magic at all. You can combine Micky Cards to do more damage and heal more life. You will get Boss Heartless cards and you can use them when ever you want. Because Riku has no CV he will always have then equipped. The last thing that is important about Riku is his Dark Mode. In the corner of the screen, under your life bar, there is a heartless symbol with a number next to it. This is your 'meter' when ever you get hit it raises by one. When you card break a heartless the amount of CV(card value) that you card is greater will be added to your meter. For example if you have an 8, and you cad break a heartless with a 5, your card is 3 greater (8-5=3). 3 will now be added to your meter. This also works the opposite way, if a card breaks you, you will lose points on the meter. So if a heartless breaks your 4 with a 6, you will lose 2 points(6-4=2). When your meter reaches 30 Riku will go into Dark Mode. The meter will reduce to his Max DP, if he is hit the meter will lower, if it reaches 0 he goes back into his normal form. In this mode he is faster, stronger, and most importantly can pull off stock moves. B. Stock Moves --------------------------- You should remember stock moves from Soras story, Rikus work the same only you MUST be in Dark Mode to use them. 1. Move: Dark Break CV(Card Value): 5-15 Effect: Riku will jump into the air and drop down five times on to an enemy, doing crazy damage. If the enemy dies he will move to a new enemy. 2. Move: Dark Fire CV: 16-26 Effect: Riku will shoot out a fire ball that homes in on the enemy doing a fair amount of damage. 3. Move: Dark Aura CV: 27(three 9) Effect: The screen will go black and Riku will teleport around attacking multiple times, doing unbelievable damage. If the heartless some how survive the attack. Riku will follow up by setting off explosions around him, if a heartless is hit he will be stunned. C. Leveling Up ---------------------------- Riku has different options when he levels up than Sora, these are 1. HP, you should remember this from any RPG, if you can't figure it out I feel sorry for you. Anyway its Health Points, your Health bar will become bigger. You gain 15 if you chose this option 2. AP, Attack Points, you will do more damage per hit, you will only gain one, when you chose this option. 3. DP, Dark Points. This will raise your Max DP by two each time. But what does DP do. In the corner of the screen, under your life bar, there is a heartless symbol with a number next to it. This is your 'meter' when ever you get hit it raises by one. When you card break a heartless the amount of CV(card value) that you card is greater will be added to your meter. For example if you have an 8, and you card break a heartless with a 5, your card is 3 greater (8-5=3). 3 will now be added to your meter. This also works the opposite way, if a heartless card breaks you, you will lose points on the meter. ------------------------------------------- 3. Walkthrough ------------------------------------------- A. Hallow Bastion --------------------------- After a dialog scene with Riku you will be in Hallow Bastion. You should already know what to do, it's the same as Soras story, just go to the story doors an you will be fine. The first level is special you won't have Mickey or DP, and there are three story doors(most levels have one). You will be given a save card so use that at the first door. When you open the final door you will fight Dragon Maleficent. Boss: Dragon Maleficent This boss shouldn't give you any trouble, just attack, she shouldn't even be able to spit fire at you so just kill her quickly After you beat her you have to find your own way out of the level, don't worry its not hard just go to the top of the level and you will find the door out. Now you will be in Castle Oblivion. You will meet Ansem, after a little talking he will attack you, luckily Mick comes and save you. Then you will enter a boss battle. Boss: Ansem Another easy boss, in this battle you will be able to use Micky, but you shouldn't need to. Ansem will use a stock moves where he charges at you, but its so weak it won't do any real damage. After the battle Ansem will give you a card that allows you to go into Dark Mode. A scene will happen, where we meet two new members of the Order. Zexion, the silver haired one, and Lexaeus, the buff one. They will talk to Vexen, after that you will regain control of Riku. B. Agrabah ------------------------ This is what most of the game is going to be like, you have only one story door which is the boss. You have Micky and DP. Their also will be no dialog. Their should be no problem with the heartless, the fat bandits can get a little annoying, but they can't kill you. Open the story door and fight Jafar. Boss: Jafar Attack the lamp, you should already know how to beat him, if you go into dark mode try to get in between 5- 15 for you stock move. This will do a lot of damage to Iago. Once your done you need to find your own way out, just go to the top of the level. Once your in Castle Oblivion a short scene with Zexion and Vexen will happen. Then you get Riku and go to the next world. C. Monstro ---------------------- Im sure you can figure out what to do, like every other level only one story card. This time the boss is the Parasite Cage. Boss: Parasite Cage I wouldn't worry about staying on the platforms, just go right up next to him and attack. If you are running low on health use the Micky cards. Overall another easy boss. After you beat him find your way out. In Castle Oblivion Riku will meet Vexen. After a short talk you will enter a battle. Boss: Vexen This will be an easy battle, just get behind him and attack. You will get into Dark Mode in this battle. At that point just use stock moves. His shield can't protect him from your stock moves. He will fall fast. After the battle head up the stairs to the next level. D. Neverland ------------------------- Once again just go to the boss. The heartless are real easy here and give you good exp, so if you want to train a little bit do it here. The boss is Hook Boss: Hook This boss is amazingly, moderate in difficulty. He has good defense so you don't do too much damage. He has real high CV, and does good damage. You also have a bad set of cards going into this fight. But he isn't hard, if you just watch out for his stock moves you can beat him easy. If your having a lot of trouble try to get into dark mode as quick as possible and use stock moves. You also have the Jafar card, that will help a lot. After you beat him leave Neverland, you will be back in Castle Oblivion. After a short scene with Lexaeus and Zexion, go to the next world, this is also the final world in this set. E. Traverse Town --------------------------------- The first thing you will notice is that you only get five cards, don't worry its enough for these simple enemies. The boss of this level is Guard Armor. Boss: Guard Armor You will own this guy with no problem at all. He is even easier then he was with Sora. After you beat him the exit is kinda far away, get their and then get ready for a shock. In Castle Oblivion Riku will meet Dark Riku. You will enter into a battle with him. Boss: Dark Riku This boss will have all of your moves as if you were in Dark Form, but he will only use the Dark Fire. Once you get into your Dark Form just use stock attacks, and look out for the nine cards, if you can get three and use Dark Aura you can take out half of his life with that attack. Once you win Dark Riku will run away. Then their will be a scene with Dark Riku talking to Vexen. After that Riku(the real one) will meet Ansem and get the next set of world cards. F. Atlantica ------------------------ You may notice how bad the cards you get are, well get use to it the next set of worlds have horrible cards. I shouldn't need to tell you what to do, just get to the story door. This time around the boss is Ursula. Boss: Ursula You should remember how to beat this boss from Soras Story. Just attack the tentacles and when they drop attack her head. Watch out for her bubble attack your controls will be reversed if you get hit. But overall another easy boss. Once you win leave Atlantica, you will see a extended scene from Soras Story where Vexen talks to Dark Riku. G. Olympia ----------------------- Another bad set of cards, but you can get through it. The boss for this level will be Hades. Boss: Hades This boss may give you trouble, with your low CV and he can use 9 cards, this battle can be difficult. But he isn't too bad, you do have 0 cards so use those when he does a stock move. When you get into Dark Mode just use stock moves. He will die quick Once you win leave Olympia. A small scene where Larxene talks to Namie will happen, not all that exciting. H. Wonderland ------------------------- Do I really need to put anything in here, this level is just like every other level. The boss is Trick Master. Boss: Trick Master All I have to say is that he didn't even attack me the hole time. None of his cards are above a 5, and he can't stock. If you can press the A button you will be able to beat him. If you still can't find the pattern you know need to leave Wonderland. The next scene has Zexion talking to Lexaeus. I. Halloween Town --------------------------------- Im sure you know what to do, you should also already know who the boss is because you fought him in Soras Story. In case you have a short memory its Oogie Boogie. Boss: Oogie Boogie Like last time you have to cards break him for the gate to lower. After you card break him three times, the gate will lower all the way. At this point jump on his platform and attack him. He will knock you off and you must start again, do this until he is dead. Wait, whats this? Something cool is going to happen! A boss fight against one of the members of the Order. This time it's the hulking Lexaeus. This boss is very special because you never fought him as Sora. Like all Order members he has an element, which is rock. Boss: Lexaeus He is can be incredibly difficult or ridiculously easy, it all matters when you get Dark Mode. I suggest card breaking him with stock moves to get into Dark Mode quick. Once their own with your stock moves. Try to get three 9 cards that attack can take down an entire bar of life. Watch out for his attacks though, he can take out a lot of HP with his attacks. He has a stock move where he puts his sword in the ground and flings rocks at you. When this happens do your best to card break him because that attack can deal some serious damage. A lot of scenes will happen after this fight, you will get your next world card from Zexion. J. Destiny Island ----------------------------- Their will be a short scene in here where Riku talks to Tidus, Selphie, and Waaka. You will notice that you can't use Mickey in this level. This will make healing a bit tougher so make sure to hit all the barrels and trees to heal. When you get in the door a few scenes will happen featuring Kairi, and Zexion. The boss battle will be against Dark Side. Boss: Dark Side This boss can be annoying because your stock moves won't hit him. I suggest just attacking the head, when he punches the ground let him do those attacks, then hit his hand. You can't heal so be a little careful. But its nothing you should be to worried about. If you are dying gain a few levels, and make sure you are going into the battle with full health. A lot of stuff will happen, most notably Zexion will attack you, Riku will fight him but you don't get to play. After Zexion leaves and will talk with Axel. Dark Riku then comes and does something to Zexion that I couldn't figure out. Anyway on to the next level. K. Twilight Town ----------------------------- The first thing that will happen is that you will meet Diz. This level is different than all the other because it has two, that's right TWO, story doors. The first one is a boss battle against Dark Riku. Boss: Dark Riku 2 This is the hardest boss in the game. He has three life bars, is faster, stronger, and has better CV than you. He has crazy moves, some that may even kill you with one use. He is just like Dark Riku 4 from Soras story, only harder because you have crap cards. You wont have Mickey so you can't heal. Over all, you may die a a lot on this boss. The first thing you should do is use the Jafar card. Then just attack him as much as you can, you should be able to take down an entire life bar before the card wears off. Now attack him as much as possible, DO NOT USE STOCK MOVES NO MATTER WHAT. I can not stress this enough, the cards you are given in this level are so oddly placed that most of your attacks will be card broken. Even if you only pick out cards with high CV you will only be wasting the few good cards you have. If you just attack you will do fine. If your life is running low use the Oogie Boogie card. Make sure to not use the 0 cards incase he starts to use Dark Arua. If all else fails just level up. That little extra HP may be just what you need to win. If you win your next door will be to your left, you will meet Namie and Sora in the cocoon. Now leave Twilight Town. You will meet Mickey and Deizu, before doing the last level. L. Castle Oblivion ------------------------------- You will get Mickey back, so now you can heal. Also you get a great set of cards for this level. This is the best place to level up because the heartless can be easily beaten and they give tons of exp. There are only two doors you need to go through untill you get to the last boss. Boss: Ansem 2 I was disappointed by this boss, but many found him to be hard. This battle is the second hardest in the game, it's a lot easier than Dark Riku because you can heal, and have a good deck. If you want to use stock moves only do it when your in Dark mode. But use them sparingly; he can use his heartless to defend against you attacks, making your stock moves useless. I would use Jafar in this battle, but only after you get into Dark Mode. That way you can deal more damage. If the screen turns black, quickly go to the back of your deck and get a 0 card. If you don't his heartless will go into the ground and pop out to attack you, multiple times, dealing crazy damage. If you can't get to a 0 card just run around, this move is easy to dodge. If you are still having trouble level up. Thats it you beat the game, you can now get the Ultimate Keyblade in Soras story. Enjoy the ending. ------------------------------------------- 4.
