Introduction ============================================================================== A lot of people on the boards have been asking how to beat Navis, especially SkullMan. This FAQ is to give you an excellent deck setup and least risky way to take down a Navi. At times it may seem like there is no deck to take down a Navi. The folders that I give you can do that even though it might take a few tries. ============================================================================== 3. What Goes Into Making a Good Folder and Deck ============================================================================== The key to a good folder is versatility. A folder that can handle several different situations is key. The best folders utilize and exploit elemental strengths and weaknesses. Such as, Burner with a Fire Navi on Grass panels against a Wood opponent can do 120 damage to all chips. Even against null-element Navis, a powerful elemental folder is best to use. Mix the 4 elements but be sure to include chips like Burner, TreeBom3, Elemental blades, Spice and MagBomb3. That’s 14 chips right there. 18 when you add the proper Navis. The rest is other defensive and non-element chips. Harnessing the power of a good folder is the first key to winning! Now decks, on the other hand, should only focus on 1 element. Even if your opponent is null-elemental a powerful elemental deck is the best way to take them down. Now don’t get me wrong, non-element assaults are still powerful. It’s just that they can’t get the situation power-ups like elements can. Harnessing the power of the elements is the second step to winning. The final step is how to set up a deck. You want the chips that are most important to be in the first row. Then, the next most important chip should go in the middle panel of the second row. The chips you need least should go into the back where they’ll get selected less often. Setting up a defensive chip can be hard because most of them have low priority. However, if your opponent is starting with a defensive opener and you know what it is, then by all means, set up an Invis opener and follow with the chips to destroy the guard. If you don’t like defense chips then I suggest that you open with Burners or TreeBom3s and follow with MabBombs or fist chips to break guards. If your opponent is using a LifeAura3 your best bet is to open with an AddAll chip to destroy before it’s played. Harness the power of an excellent deck for the final step to winning! ============================================================================== 4. Tournament Folders and Individual Navi Decks ============================================================================== Ah, the meat and potatoes of this FAQ. The following decks should delete the Navis that you encounter in the Tournaments. The folders will give you back up selection. Bear in mind that a good folder does not HAVE to have 30 chips. However, the only place you can get away with this is in the first 2-4 Tournaments. Now without further ado, the Folders and Decks. E Class For the E Class I’m not going to give you a deck or a folder. Instead, I’ll give you some tips. Put the Sword chip up front. That’s a nice 70 damage and it will be given to an opponents chip. If you didn’t get anything better from Higsby’s, put a Cannon next to it. Follow up with whatever you want and I suggest that you put a ShotGun in Slot-In. Play the Novice Tournament several times so that you can get the 10 chip special from Higsby. As for the later Tourneys, I suggest you try to get at least 1 guard chip for Guts Tourney. Try to put sword-type chips up front to deal deck damage. Follow with more power and you should win. In prep for the D-Class, try to get at least 2 of each ball type chip. Save before hitting Higsby’s and if you don’t get what you want, then soft-reset. Start+Select+A+B is how you do it. D-Class: Match Tournament Note: If you are playing as Mary, then do the Droplet Tourney first. Her RingRang can do serious damage.
