BP = Badge Points. FP = Flower Points. Dazzle = A mysterious person who trades his Badges for star pieces. Charlieton = A merchant in Rougeport Plaza wearing striped clothes. Lovely Howz of Badges = The Badge shop in Rougeport plaza. Danger = Mario or his partner has 2 - 5 health left. Peril = Mario or his partner has 1 health left. Charlieton's inventory will change every time you re-enter Rougeport, so if you are looking for a specific badge from him, go into the sewers and come back. Chances are, he should have something diffrent. To reach the Lovely Howz of Badges, enter the inn located in Rougeport plaza and head up the stairs. Go through the door on your left and the first building you see should be the Badge Shop. Dazzle can be found in Rougeport's sewers. Enter the sewers from east Rougeport and go left a screen. Mario Attack Badges- II-abc ------------------------- Boots ----- Multibounce BP: 1 FP: 2 Enables Mario to jump on all enemies until you miss an action command. -This is found in Shhwonk Fortress which is located to the east of Petalburg. It can be found in the sewer type area near the end of the Fortress. -You can also trade 50 Pianta Coins for the badge in Pianta Parlor Power Bounce BP: 3 FP: 3 Enables Mario to continusly jump on one enemy until you miss an action command. -Is found at the entrance of Hooktail's Castle. Power Jump BP: 1 FP: 2 Allows Mario to jump on an enemy with a higher attack power. -This badge can be bought at The Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. -You can trade 34 Pianta Coins for the badge in Pianta Parlor. Sleepy Stomp BP: 1 FP: 2 If executed correctly, has a chance of making the enemy go to sleep. -This badge can be bought at the Lovely Howz of Badges for 75 coins. -It is also found on the 10th floor of the Pit of 100 Trials. Soft Stomp BP: 1 FP: 2 If executed correctly, makes the enemy "soft", which decreases their defence. -The badge can be found in the residential area of the Rougeport Sewers (Near Merluvee's house, in the bottom left corner of the map) in a treasure chest. -It can also be bought for 75 coins at The Lovely Howz of Badges. Shrink Stomp BP: 1 FP: 2 If executed correctly, makes the enemy smaller, decreasing their attack power. -The badge can be bought at the Lovely Howz of Badges for 75 coins. -It's also located in The Great Tree, in the area with all the water that you drain out. Tornado Jump BP: 2 FP: 3 Can damage all Mid-Air enemies if executed correctly. -It is located outside of Creepy Steeple, in the well. -You can buy this for 67 Pianta Coins in Pianta Parlor. Hammer ------ Hammer Throw BP: 1 FP: 2 Allows Mario to throw a hammer at an enemy, ignoring the enemies position. -Can be found in a question mark box located halfway through Twilight Trail (Inbetween Twilight Town and Creepy Steeple). -You can buy this for 50 Pianta Coins at the Pianta Parlor. Fire Drive BP: 3 FP: 5 Damages all enemies on the ground, doing massive damage. -The badge can be bought from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 100 coins. -It is also found in the Pit of 100 Trials, on the 20th floor. Head Rattle BP: 1 FP: 2 If executed correctly, has a chance of confusing all enemies. -The badge is found in a question mark box, which is found two screens east of the Keelhaul Key shore (A screen past the area with the inn and shop). -You can buy this in The Lovely Howz of Badges for 100 coins. Ice Smash BP: 1 FP: 3 If executed correctly, freezes the targeted enemy. -It can be found in Creepy Steeple's secret room (From the entrance, head up and follow the wall until you find a small hole. Use the tube mode to enter). -It is also avalible in The Lovely Howz of Badges for 75 coins. Piercing Blow BP: 1 FP: 2 Allows you to pierce enemy defense. -Is avalible in The Lovely Howz of Badges for 75 coins. Power Smash BP: 1 FP: 2 A hammer attack with higher attack power than usual. -You can trade 34 Pianta Coins for the badge in Pianta Parlor. -Professor Frankley gives it to you at the beginning of the game. Quake Hammer BP: 2 FP: 3 A massive hammer attack that damages all enemies on the ground and on the ceiling - It will knock the enemies off the ceiling. -The badge can be found in a question mark block in Boggly Woods in the screen right before Flurrie's house. -You can trade 67 Pianta Coins for the badge in Pianta Parlor as well. ----------------------------------- -III. Mario Stat Enhancment Badges- III-abc ----------------------------------- All or Nothing BP: 4 FP: 0 Increases attack power by 1, but if you fail an action command you do no damage whatsoever. -This can be found in a question mark box in the Palace of Shadows, in the room with all of the spikes that randomly pop up and down. Charge BP: 1 FP: 1 Uses up one turn, but in return, Mario does 2 more damage next turn. -Can be found in the Great Tree. After getting the Super boots, leave the room and spin-jump the panel (east of the 10 jabbie room). Jump across the platforms going left, and the badge should be in Koops's reach. Close Call BP: 1 FP: 0 When Mario is in danger, you have a greater chance (than usual) to evade the enemies attack. -You can find this in a question mark block near the entrance to Petal Meadows. -It can also be bought from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 100 coins. Damage Dodge BP: 2 FP: 0 Decreases damage by an extra 1 with the guard action command. -You can find Damage Dodge in the area right before the Boggly Woods - To reach it, let Punio open the gate and instead of going right, take a left. You should reach the badge. -You can buy this from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 150 coins. Defend Plus BP: 5 FP: 0 Raises Mario's defense by 1. -It can be found in Twilight Town's shop. It will be in the shops storage room, which will be opened up later on in the story. -This can be found in the secret room with 3 Shine Spirtes in Rougeport Sewers. Feeling Fine BP: 4 FP: 0 Makes Mario immune to dizziness and poison. -Can be found in the X-Naut Fortress in the crane room. To get the crane working you must find a Cog, which can be found in the vents. Flower Saver BP: 4 FP: 0 Reduces FP usage by 1. If an attack wastes only 1 FP already, it will not get reduced. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 10 star pieces. -Is also in a secret room in the Creepy Steeple, underneath the star statue in the main room. FP Drain BP: 1 FP: 0 Reduces Mario's attack power by 1, but steals 1 FP for every attack. -Can be bought at The Lovely Howz of Badges. FP Plus BP: 3 FP: 0 Increases Mario's FP by 5. -Can be gotten from Pianta Parlor for 100 Pianta Coins. -Is also found in Rougeport Sewers, in the room with the two pipes that lead to Poshley Heights and Keelhaul Key. -You can also find one of these outside The Great Tree. Hammerman BP: 2 FP: 0 Increases Mario's hammer damage by 1, but disables the ability to use the "Jump" command. -Can be bought off Charlieton for 180 coins. Happy Flower BP: 2 FP: 0 Occasionally heals 1 FP (during battle). -Can be bought in The Lovely Howz of Badges for 150 coins. -Can also be bought off Dazzle for 4 star pieces. Happy Heart BP: 2 FP: 0 Occasionally heals 1 HP (during battle). -This can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 4 star pieces. -Is also found on the way to Petalburg, in Petal Meadows. To reach it, you need to use Koops. HP Drain BP: 1 FP: 0 Reduces Mario's attack power by 1, but steals 1 HP for every attack. -Can be found at Southern Rougeport. Use the boat mode and sail around, heading southwest to find the badge. -Is found in a question mark box on the path leading to Fahr Outpost. HP Plus BP: 3 FP: 0 Increase Mario's HP by 5. -It should be found outside the entrance to Hooktail's castle. The badge is found beneath the bridge that is broken and requires you to fly across to enter the castle. -Can be bought for 100 Pianta Coins in Pianta Parlor. -In the Riverside Station, in the area where you have to blow the papers to reveal a door, you should be able to find this badge. If you notice in one of the stair steps, there is a small hole. Use the tube to mode to go through. Jumpman BP: 2 FP: 0 Increases Mario's jump damage by 1, but disables the ability to use the "Hammer" command. -Can be bought off Charlieton for 180 coins. Last Stand BP: 1 FP: 0 Drops the damage Mario recives by 1/2 when he is in danger. -It is located in Glitzville's Glitz Pit, inside a box in the long and narrow hallway. -It can be bought from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. Lucky Day BP: 7 FP: 0 Mario has a greater chance (than usual) to evade the enemies attack. -This is found in the Pit of 100 Trials, on the 90th floor. Lucky Start BP: 4 FP: 0 Make something "good" happen when you first start the battle. -You will recive this for beating Atomic Boo who is located in the Creepy Steeple. To make Atomic Boo appear, in the main room, use Mario's hammer charge up on all the boo's that circle you. Mega Rush BP: 1 FP: 0 When Mario is in Peril, attack power increases by 5. -Can be bought off Charlieton for 60 coins. P-Down, D-Up BP: 2 FP: 0 Decrease Mario's attack power by 1 while increasing his defense by 1. -Found in the Pirate's Grotto, hidden behind boxes in the room where you learn the boat mode. P-Up, D-Down BP: 2 FP: 0 Increase Mario's attack power by 1 while decreasing his defense by 1. -Is located in Riverside Station in the large room where you have to go into tube mode to complete. Keep going through diffrent paths to retrive it. Pity Flower BP: 3 FP: 0 Has a chance of recovering 1 FP when being attacked. -The badge is found in the Pit of 100 Trials, on the 40th floor. Power Plus BP: 6 FP: 0 Increase Mario's attack power by 1. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 15 star pieces. -Is found in the room with the talkative parrot in the Creepy Steeple. Power Rush BP: 1 FP: 0 When Mario is in danger, increase attack power by 2. -Can be bought at The Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. -Can be bought for 34 Pianta Coins in the Pianta Parlor. Pretty Lucky BP: 2 FP: 0 Mario has a greater chance (than usual) to evade the enemies attack. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 3 star pieces. ------------------------------------ -IV. Partner Stat Enhancment Badges- IV-abc ------------------------------------ Charge P BP: 1 FP: 1 Uses up one turn, but in return, Mario's Partner does 2 more damage next turn. -Is found in Glitz Pit's storage room. Close Call P BP: 1 FP: 1 When Mario's Partner is in danger, you have a greater chance (than usual) to evade the enemies attack. -Can be bought at The Lovely Howz of Badges for 100 coins. -It is also found in the first room of the Riverside Station. Damage Dodge P BP: 2 FP: 0 Decreases damage by an extra 1 with the guard action command. -The badge is found in the Pirate's Grotto. You must turn into a boat near the upper level of the place, go right a screen and actually sail through the waterfall (the very skinny one). Once you go through the waterfall, open the chest for the badge. -Can be bought from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 150 coins. -There is also one of these in the room between the 10 Jabbie army and the 100 Jabbie army. It is inside the question mark box that seems unreachable - to get it, shoot Koops directly underneath it. He should uncover a box, which you can jump on. Defend Plus P BP: 5 FP: 0 Raises Mario's Partners defense by 1. -Can be found in Rougeport Sewers. Head into the room where you fought the giant Blooper and use the Spring Jump to grab onto the pipes above and slide left, falling onto that little platform. Use Bobbery to blow up the wall, even though there is no crack in the wall. Feeling Fine P BP: 4 FP: 0 Makes Mario's Partner immune to dizziness and poison. -Can be found in the X-Naut Fortress in the crane room. To get the crane working you must find a Cog, which can be found in a room prior to the vents. Flower Saver P BP: 4 FP: 0 Reduces FP usage by 1. If an attack wastes only 1 FP already, it will not get reduced. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 10 star pieces. -In the secret room near the pipe that leads to Fahr Outpost (in the sewers). To get to it, go to West Rougeport and slip through the crack in the middle of the road. Fall off the platform and stand directly on the red X, then use the spin jump to grab onto the pipe. Happy Heart P BP: 2 FP: 0 Occasionally heals 1 HP (during battle). -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 4 star pieces. -It is found in Rougeport Sewers as well. Go to the room outside of where you get the airplane ability. At the bottom of the staircase should be a little fold in the wall, queing you to use Flurrie to blow it down. HP Drain P BP: 1 FP: 0 Reduces Mario's Partners attack power by 1, but steals 1 HP for every attack. -Can be found in a house with a pool beside it in Poshley Heights. There is a small opening inside the house that you can enter by using paper thin mode. HP Plus P BP: 6 FP: 0 Increases Mario's Partners health by 5. -Can be gotten from Pianta Parlor for 200 Pianta Coins. Last Stand P BP: 1 FP: 0 Drops the damage Mario's Partner recives by 1/2 when s/he is in danger. -Can be bought at The Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. -In the room with lots of stairs in Hooktails castle is the badge. It is on a ledge that not even Koops can get to. Continue your way through the castle until you reach a similar room with lots of stairs and a yellow block. Hit the switch to make the yellow block fall down, and jump down ontop of it. You should be able to walk to the badge now (be warned, you have to walk all the way back up the castle after this). Mega Rush P BP: 1 FP: 0 When Mario's Partner is in Peril, attack power increases by 5. -Can be found in Petalburg, in Kroops's yard. To enter the yard, use the paper thin ability. P-Down, D-Up P BP: 2 FP: 0 Decrease Mario's Partners attack power by 1 while increasing his/her defense by 1. -Can be found in Boggly Woods, namely in the area with an Airplane Panel. It will be in a hidden box, so once you go into the area where you can raise the airplane panel, keep jumping around until you hit it. P-Up, D-Down P BP: 2 FP: 0 Increase Mario's Partners attack power by 1 while decreasing his/her defense by 1. -Can be found in the Palace of Shadow, right before the room that "repeats itself" (the one room with 4 doors, the only thing guiding you is the candle light). Power Plus P BP: 6 FP: 0 Increase Mario's Partners attack power by 1. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 15 star pieces. -It is found near the airplane panel in Glitzville, outside of the Glitz Pit. Power Rush P BP: 1 FP: 0 When Mario's Partner is in danger, increase attack power by 2. -Can be bought at The Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. -It can also be bought at Pianta Parlor for 34 coins. Miscellaneous Badges- V-abc ------------------------- Bump Attack BP: 5 FP: 0 Walk into weaker foes to defeat them without having to battle. -The badge is avalible in the Pit of 100 Trials, on the 80th floor. Chill Out BP: 1 FP: 0 Makes you never succumb to a first strike. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 2 star pieces. Double Dip BP: 3 FP: 4 Allows Mario to use two items in one turn. -This can be found in Eastern Rougeport. You will have to go into an alleyway and turn into a boat. Follow the stream and you will find a treasure chest containing the badge. -It can also be found in the Pit of 100 trials, on the 60th floor. Double Dip P BP: 3 FP: 4 Allows Mario's Partner to use two items in one turn -This is found in the Pit of 100 Trials, on the 70th floor. First Attack BP: 1 FP: 0 Activates a first strike, defeating weaker foes without battling. -This can be bought in The Lovely Howz of Badges for 100 coins. Flower Finder BP: 3 FP: 0 After defeating an enemy, makes more flowers appear (FP). -You can exchange 6 star pieces for this badge at Dazzle's shop. Heart Finder BP: 3 FP: 0 After defeating an enemy, makes more hearts appear (HP). -You can exchange 6 star pieces for this badge at Dazzle's shop. Ice Power BP: 1 FP: 0 Mario doesn't take damage when jumping on fire enemies. -This is found on Keelhaul Key, in the area with a bridge. Underneath the end of the bridge is the badge that can be obtained by using paper thin mode. Item Hog BP: 3 FP: 0 If an enemy has an item during battle, make the chances of it dropping after the battle greater. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 5 star pieces. Money Money BP: 5 FP: 0 After battle, more coins will appear. -Can be gotten from Pianta Parlor for 234 Pianta Coins. Peekaboo BP: 2 FP: 0 Enemy HP is now visible. -Is avalible at Dazzle's shop for 7 star pieces. Quick Change BP: 7 FP: 0 Allows you to switch partners without wasting a turn. -Can be traded for at Dazzle's shop for 8 star pieces. Refund BP: 1 FP: 0 If you use an item during battle, you will recive some coins. -Can be gotten from Pianta Parlor for 34 Pianta Coins. Return Postage BP: 7 FP: 0 Direct-attackers take 1/2 of the damage they dealt to you. -Is obtained after completing the Pit of 100 Trials. Simplifier BP: 1 FP: 0 Makes action commands easier, but earns you less star points. -Can be bought from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 75 coins. Spike Shield BP: 3 FP: 0 Mario is able to jump on spiky enemies without reciving damage. -This is found deep in Rougeport sewers. Between two blocks is a room behind bars, so you have to use paper thin mode to enter. Then, use Vivan's power to sneak past the spikes. Super Appeal BP: 1 FP: 0 Earns more Star Power when Mario Appeals -Can be bought at the Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. -Can also be bought from Pianta Parlor for 34 coins. Super Appeal P BP: 1 FP: 0 Earns more Star Power when Mario's Partner Appeals -Can be bought at the Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. -Is also found in Flurrie's house, in her room which will open up when you get her necklace back. Timing Tutor BP: 1 FP: 0 Makes an exclamation mark over Mario or his partner during an attack. If you press A when the exclamation mark appears, you will do a "Stylish" move which earns you more Star Power, and gets the audience going. -This can be bought off Charlieton for 120 coins. Zap Tap BP: 3 FP: 0 When enemies attack physically (with their bare hands/butt/other body part), they recive 1 damage. -Is found on the 30th floor in the Pit of 100 Trials Hard to use/Bad badges ---------------------- Unsimplifier BP: 1 FP: 0 Makes action commands harder, but gets you more Star Power by succeeding in an action command. -This can be bought from The Lovely Howz of Badges for 50 coins. Slow Go BP: 0 FP: 0 Makes mario slow on the field, so he can no longer run. This can be bought from Charlieton for 12 coins. Double Pain BP: 0 FP: 0 Makes Mario take double the damage recieved. This can be bought from Charlieton for 36 coins. ------------------------- -VI. Entertaining Badges- VIabc ------------------------- Attack FX R BP: 0 FP: 0 The Attack FX R badge is a badge that changes the sound effect of Mario's hammer - In PM:TTYD, this badge actually has a use (other than the changes in the sound effects). This badge makes Mario's hammer sounds like crickets - which are Hooktail's weakness. This badge can be found in the depths of hooktail's castle - in a jail cell. It can be acquired by using the "Paper Thin" mode, found from a treasure chest in a room nearby. Attack FX P BP: 0 FP: 0 Another one of the Attack FX family. It is used to change the sound of Mario's hammer. This badge can be bought in the badge shop, The Lovely Howz of Badges for 100 coins. Attack FX G BP: 0 FP: 0 Another one of the attack FX family. It is used to change the sound effects of Mario's hammer. This badge can be bought from Charlieton for 120 coins. Attack FX B BP: 0 FP: 0 Another one of the Attack FX family. It is used to change the sound effects of Mario's hammer. This badge is obtained when doing the "Looking for elusive badge" sidequest, posted by "???". The sidequest is avalible in the trouble center located in east Rougeport. After accepting the quest and meeting up with the person, go to Hooktail's castle and into the room where you fought Hooktail. Directly in the middle of the room, use flurrie to grab the badge. Attack FX Y BP: 0 FP: 0 Another one of the Attack FX family. It is used to change the sound effects of Mario's hammer. You can exchange 1 starpiece for this badge at Dazzle's shop. L Emblem BP: 0 FP: 0 Changes Mario's appearance to make him look like Luigi. This can be found in chapter 7, in Poshley Heights. Before you grab the real star crystal, use the Spring Jump and travel across the pipes, working your way to the top left corner of the map. W Emblem BP: 0 FP: 0 Changes Mario's appearance to make him look like Wario. This can be bought off Charlieton for 360 coins. ------------------------- -VII.
