Intro

Ask and ye shall receive. Or something. Anyways, from here on out you’ll 
find all that funky Japanese-y stuff translated into something resembling 
English. This is NOT a translation of the Story Mode dialogue; there’s already 
an excellent, accurate FAQ posted on GameFAQs already, so go look at that. 
This is also NOT a translation of the in-game menus. You WILL find all speech 
translated, including custom fight intros/victory quotes, and eventually the 
information in each character’s Ninja Profile as well.

I am by no means fluent in Japanese, but armed with two good dictionaries and 
three years under my belt, I know enough to tell you what everyone’s saying. 
That being said, DO NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, e-mail me and say, 

HEY U DUMMY WHEN NEJI SAYS “WARUI NA KORE WA GENJITSU DA” IT MEANS “ITS BAD, 
THIS IS REALITY” NOT “SORRY, BUT THIS IS REALITY” O YA IM IN MY SECOND SEMESTER 
OF JAPANESE SO I KNOW WUT IM TALKING ABOUT. 

or you will die.

I’m serious. But by the same token, if you are also a native speaker/student 
of Japanese and notice a particularly glaring error that is much more than an 
alternate way of translating something, please correct me. An example might be, 

“Hey, when Shikamaru says, ‘Mendokusee’ he’s saying, ‘This is troublesome’ 
and not ‘I’m hungry.’”

Enough blather. On to the fun part!

Legend/Key
==========

Okay! For each section, the order of characters will follow those in the 
game’s image gallery. The Sharingan variants of Kakashi and Sasuke retain 
the same speech patter as their normal-eyed counterparts (with a few small
 exceptions), Karasu can’t talk because he’s a puppet, and Akamaru only barks 
because he’s a dog. Derf. So do a find (CTRL+F) if you’re looking for someone 
specific. 

The order of operations for each character is:
