Control Pad: Used for various functions. Each direction corresponds with a specific order. Up tell your wingmen to form on your wing, left and right tell your wingmen to attack different locations, and down tells your wingmen to flee. Also, if you are flying a X-Wing, Y-wing, or the Naboo Starfighter, you can tell your R2 unit to repair your ship with this pad. C-Stick: In default view, this stick allows you to move the camera angle. In cockpit view it lets your look around the cockpit. Also, if you have your targeting computer up, it allows you to target specific ships, though this is only useful if you have acquired the Advanced Targeting Computer. (See Tech Upgrade FAQ) BUTTONS: A Button: Fires your primary weapon. Hold down for continual fire. B Button: Fires your secondary weapon. Also, if you are flying as the Y-Wing, the B-Wing, and the Slave I you are equipped with an ion cannon. Hold and release this button to fire the ion cannon. (Note: Some crafts have different secondary weapons. Go to the individual craft's section for detail on each weapon.) X Button: Toggle between the default and cockpit views. Y Button: Call up the targeting computer. You must hold this down to keep the computer on screen unless you have acquired the Advanced Targeting Computer upgrade. (See Tech Upgrade FAQ) L Button: Press to slow the speed of your craft. Jam the button down to brake quickly. R Button: Increase your ship's speed. Jam the button down for a quick boost of speed. Also, if you are flying as the X-Wing or B-Wing, their S-foils will close if you jam the R button down. Go to each crafts section for more details about the S-foils. Z Button: Roll your craft. Press and hold this button while pressing left or right to roll your craft. Start Button: Lets you pause/access the start menu. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WEAPONS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rogue Leader equips each craft with different weapons. This makes some craft ideal for some missions yet usless for others. The weapons in Rogue Leader are: PRIMARY WEAPONS: Laser Cannons: These are the primary weapons of all the craft in the Star Wars universe. The number of laser cannons on each ship varies. Crafts: All vehicles. SECONDARY WEAPONS: Proton Torpedoes: These proton-scattering energy warheads inflict heavier damage than ordinary torpedoes. Crafts: X-Wing, B-Wing, Y-Wing Proton Bombs: These inflict a large area of damage, but they can also hurt you if you fly too low. They recharge over time. Craft: Y-Wing Concussion Missiles: Though they are not as powerful as proton torpedoes, when it hits it's target, it sends a shockwave capable of penetrating the heaviest armor. Crafts: A-Wing, Millennium Falcon Cluster Missiles: Instead of shooting only one missile at a time, the cluster missiles shoot 6. Thats right 6. This weapon is most useful when you get the Homing Cluster Missile upgrade. Crafts: TIE Advanced, Slave I Tow Cables: This weapon is competely different than any other in the game. It is not a projectile. It is a cable that can be shot out the back of a craft and attached to something. This is the ideal weapon for the destruction of imperial AT-ATs. Craft: Speeder Ion Cannon: Ion cannons are available on several crafts along with secondary weapons. They use blasts of blue ionized energy to which overload and fuse circit. This will effectivly knock them out of action and maybe even destroy small targets. Crafts: Y-Wing, B-Wing NOTE: All weapons here besides the Ion Cannon and Tow Cables have several tech upgrade. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> COCKPITS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- One GREAT addition to Rogue Leader is the ability to switch to cockpit view, and while in this view you can use the C-Stick to move your pilot's head and look around freely. This makes your piloting experience much more enjoyable (though in many cases more challanging!) because it gives each craft an authentic feeling. Each craft has its own original cockpit, some good, some bad. In each craft description, I have provided a little description on the layout the craft's cockpit. There, it will describe the control panel and rate the visiblity. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DEFAULT CRAFTS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rogue Leader starts you off with a varity of default crafts. These ships can be used to beat the entire game. =========== X-Wing =========== In-Game Description: The Incom T-65 X-Wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star. An almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shields makes this the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron except when the mission profile disallows it. In addition to four blaster connons, the X-Wing can carry a number proton torpedoes. Its powered by four fusial thrust engines and requires an on board astromech droid for peak proformance. Cockpit Description: The classic cockpit. What can I say? This is one of those cockpit you just love to be in. The control panel layout has the shield indicator raised and up to the right for easy location, while the radar, command cross, and secondary weapon are lower and on the actual panel. Also, if you turn your head, you can see your lasers fire and your S-foils close, very nice. Visiblity: Medium; Two crossbeams on the side hinder vision slightly. Primary Weapon: 4 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 6 Proton Torpedoes Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Homing Proton Torpedoes Playable Missions: Death Star Attack, Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Strike at the Core, Endurance =========== Y-Wing =========== In-Game Description: The Y-Wing is the workhorse of the rebel fleet. Its not quick or flashy, but it gets the job done. The armor on this is extensive and the shields will protect you from just about anything, which is good because you won't be going anywhere fast. The Y-Wing is used mainly as a bomber because it can carry a heavy payload of missles, torpedoes, and bombs. The other important weapon is the topside ion cannon which, rather than destroying a target, can disable it for later capture. Our cannons have a computer assisted auto-fire feature. So don't forget that when you are in the heat of battle. Cockpit Description: The Y-Wing is... well bad. It is very plain and drab, and it also supports a bad control layout. The radar and secondary weapon icon are centered and enlarged while the shield indicator is small and off to the right making it hard to see, and the command croos is off to the left and somewhat detached from the rest. One thing that makes this cockpit somewhat enjoyable are the lower side panels that are quite detailed. Visiblity: Low; Four crossbeams hinder vision greatly. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 20 Proton Bombs (rechargeable) or 6 Proton Torpedoes (Death Star Attack only) Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Proton Bombs, Spread Proton Bombs, Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Homing Proton Torpedoes Special Weapon: Ion Cannon Playable Missions: Death Star Attack, Ison Corridor Ambush, Prisons of the Maw, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Imperial Acadamy Heist (Daytime), Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Endurance =========== Speeder =========== In-Game Description: The Snowspeeder, modified with armor plating, stronger outboard laser cannons, and a harpoon towcable for the rear gunner, is not a true flight craft so the flight ceiling is quite low. It hugges the ground well and is also quite maneuverable, but the addition of deflector shields was deemed costly and time consuming, so watch yourself. The controls are quite similar to the X-Wing so don't worry about additional training. Cockpit Description: The Speeder's cockpit is nice and cozy. The hatch is made of all glass, but there are many crossbeams holding it together. The cockpit is relativly small but has a nice simple control layout. The shield indicator and radar are big and centered, while the command cross and secondary weapon icons are smaller and off to the sides. Visiblity: Medium; Two crossbeams on the side hinder vision slightly. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: Tow Cable (unlimited) Upgrades: None Playable Missions: Battle of Hoth, Imperial Acadamy Heist (Nighttime), Vengeance on Kothlis =========== B-Wing =========== In-Game Description: One of the Rebellions most well armed starfighters, the B-Wing, has been personally designed by Admiral Akbar. The B-Wing supports an aray of weapons including ion cannons, proton torpedo launchers, and laser cannons. Because the cockpit is surrounded by a unique gyro-stabilization system, the pilot always remains startionary, even as the rest of the ship rotates during flight. Cockpit Description: The B-Wing's cockpit is sleek and curved. It comes equipped with a very detailed control panel. The command cross and secondary weapon icon are centered, while the big radar is to the left and the slightly small shield indicator is higher and to the right. Also, the roof of this cockpit is completely open, making for good visiblity. Visiblity: Medium; Two crossbeams on the side hinder vision slightly. Primary Weapon: 3 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 12 Proton Torpedoes Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Homing Proton Torpedoes Special Weapon: 2 Ion Cannons Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Endurance =========== A-Wing =========== In-Game Description: The A-Wing is the fastest fighter we have, capable of matching a TIE Interceptor is speed. Twin J-77 Event Horizon engines power the craft, and twin blaster cannons provide offensive weaponry. However, what we gain in speed, we lose in defense. The deflector shield capablity is significantly less than the X-Wing, so make sure you use your speed to dodge lasers rather than relying on sheilds. The A-Wing also carries a limited number of missles. Cockpit Description: The A-Wing's cockpit is very simple. But it is this simplicity that makes this one of the better cockpits in the game. The A-Wing is designed with a glass dome with only one crossbeam that goes over the top. This give the cockpit an open feeling to it. The control panel is a bit of a let down though. The radar, secondary weapon icon, command cross and shield indicator are all even with each other and are quite small, making it hard to see them at times. Visiblity: High; Almost no obstruction. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: Concussion Missiles Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Concussion Missiles, Homing Concussion Missiles Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Endurance =========== T-16 Skyhopper =========== Description: Like the Snowspeeder, the T-16 Skyhopper is also a repulsor craft making space flight impossible, but unlike the speeder, it has more than twice the flight ceiling. Used mostly in the desert plains of Tatooine, the Skyhopper is powered by an Incom E-16/x Engine for thrust and relies on twin DCJ-45 repulsorlifts for lift. Also, in has similar controls to the X-Wing, making it the perfect craft for training. Cockpit Description: Unique, exciting, horrible. These are all words that can describe the T-16's cockpit. The Skyhopper's cockpit is like no other in the game. It has an odd triangular window that limits visibility drastically, yet its still fun to ride in. The control panel is set up very nicely. The rader and command cross are on the botton, and the secondary weapon icon and shield indicator are on the side lined up vertically. Also, if you look around the cockpit, you are able to see tubing, pipes, and plenty of buttons, making this one of the more detailed cockpits. Visiblity: Low; Small triangular window limits visibility drastically. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 6 Proton Torpedoes or 20 Proton Bombs (rechargeable) Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Advanced Proton Bombs Special Weapon: Ion Cannon Playable Mission: Tatooine Training -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> HIDDEN CRAFT <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Stuffed into this great game are several hidden crafts. Each craft has a unique way of unlocking it. This makes the game very interesting and difficult, yet also quite rewarding, because it feels great when you unlock a new ship for the first time. I have divided the remaining six hidden ships into three catagories: Rebel Crafts, Imperial Crafts, and Other Crafts. +------------------------------------------------------------------+ + REBEL CRAFT + +------------------------------------------------------------------+ =========== Millennium Falcon =========== In-Game Description: An illegally modified Corellian engineered YT-1300 transport, the Millennium Falcon, is one of the most formidable starships in the galaxy. Owned and piloted by Han Solo and his wookie partner Chewbacca, the Falcon supports a top of the line Imperial deflector shield system, two quad laser cannons, and two concussion missile launcher, along with a retractable light laser cannon. The star ship is also equipped with an incredible class .5 hyper drive system. Cockpit Description: The Milliennium Falcon's cockpit is another cockpit that is very original. It has a big window with grating that, unlike the TIEs, adds effect and does not limit visibility. The control panel has the radar, shield indicator, and secondary weapon icon on the left, while the command cross is off to the right. But the thing that really makes the Falcon's cockpit stand out is its detail. The control panel that extends far to the left is full of levers and buttons, and if you look to the left you can even see the rotating disk on top. This fine detail makes the Falcon's cockpit one of the best. Visiblity: Medium; Window grating and a big control panel limits visibility. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons and 1 Rear Laser Cannon Secondary Weapon: Concussion Missiles Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Concussion Missiles, Homing Concussion Missiles Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, The Asteroid Field, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Strike on the Core, Endurance How to Obtain: This is one of the easier ships to unlock. All you have to do is get at least a bronze medal in all 10 of the standard missions. Other: The Millennium Falcon is also playable on one other mission, Death Star Escape, but this level is quite different from the rest. Instead of actually piloting the Falcon, you are confined to the cockpit view and you control a quad blaster cannon. Unlock with Codes: Type in and enter MVPQIU?A, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter OH!BUDDY and R2-D2 will then confirm. +------------------------------------------------------------------+ + IMPERIAL CRAFT + +------------------------------------------------------------------+ =========== TIE Fighter =========== In-Game Description: The first in a series of advanced twin ion engine starfighters, the original TIE fighter was developed by Sienar Fleet Systems. The agile, single pilot craft has a titanium alloy hull and quadanium steel armored solar panels but lacks a deflector shield and primary life support systems. The TIE fighter is intended to be used as a short-range attack craft, launching from near by Imperial installations. TIE fighters usually attack in swarms to over welm their opponents. Cockpit Description: Its nice to see the inside of a TIE for the first time, but after that, there is no real reason to see it again. The TIE Fighter's cockpit is dark and poorly detailed, along with poor visibility. The control panel lines up the command cross, radar, shield indicator, and secondary weapon icon in one line, making them all quite small. Also, instead of being equipped with a call up targeting computer, it has a small screen that shows little red dots where the enemies are. Its all but helpful. The one thing that is nice about the TIE Fighter's cockpit is that you can turn and look more than 90 degrees in either direction. Visiblity: Low; A small window and window grating make visibility low. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: None Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Triumph of the Empire, Revenge on Yavin, Endurance How to Obtain: This craft often causes much confussion when it comes to unlocking it. The reason it is so hard is because it needs to be unlocked at two different times of the day in Imperial Acadamy Heist to fully unlock it, day and night. Daytime: Go through the canyon with out being detected as usual. When you get to the end of the canyon, turn right to get out of it. Then immediatly turn 90 degrees so you are flying parallel to the canyon. Fly for a few seconds and soon you will see a communications tower in the middle of no where with a TIE on the ground next to it. (If you use your targeting computer you will see it easier.) When you start to approach it, it will start to fly off. Get behind it, line up behind it, and shoot your ion cannon. If you hit it, it will start to spin out and fly low to the ground. Soon it will land and a blue rebel insigna will appear over it. Fly into the insigna to steal the disabled TIE and finish the level as you normally would. Now on to the nighttime portion... Nighttime: Fly through the canyon without being detected as usual. When you get to the end, go to the left side of the fork instead of the right. Soon you will come to a cut-scene showing a TIE fighter next to a building. Fly close to the building and on the left of it you should see a black dot. This dot it the TIE pilot. Shoot him. (He runs from the left side of the building around the front to the TIE, so if you miss him the first time, look in front of the building or by the TIE to get him the next time.) When he is dead, a blue rebel insigna will appear over the TIE. Fly into the insigna to steal the TIE. Then steal the shuttle as usual, but instead of flying directly to the rendezvous spot, go back to the area where you stole the TIE. Fly around until you pick up your gunner you left there when you first stole the TIE. Then fly back to the rendezvous spot to finish the level. You now own then TIE fighter! Once you have stolen the TIE both times it will be unlocked. Also, it does not matter what order you steal them in. Either daytime then nighttime or nighttime then daytime will work. Other: A special feature to the TIE fighters are the unique targeting computers. Instead of a targeting computer popping up on screen, there is a small screen on the control panel of the TIE that shows were enemy fighters are. Unlock with Codes: Type in and enter ZT?!RGBA, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter DISPSBLE and R2-D2 will then confirm. =========== TIE Advanced =========== In-Game Description: The prototype starfighter used by Darth Vader at the Battle of Yavin and the basis for the frighteningly efficient TIE Interceptor, the TIE Advanced X-1 is easily recognizable due to its distinctive bent wigns. Unlike all other TIE fighters, the prototype is equipped with a deflector shield generator and a modest hyperdrive system. The TIE Advanced is armed with fixed twin heavy blaster cannons but has no life support systems. Cockpit Description: The TIE Advanced's cockpit is the exact same thing as the TIE Fighter's. (See Cockpit Description of the TIE Fighter) Visiblity: Low; A small window and window grating make visibility low. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 20 Cluster Missiles Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Cluster Missiles, Homing Cluster Missles Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Triumph of the Empire, Revenge on Yavin, Endurance How to Obtain: The TIE Advanced is also relatively easy to unlock. Simply obtain all gold medals on all 15 levels and beat Tatooine Training at all four times. Other: A special feature to the TIE fighters are the unique targeting computers. Instead of a targeting computer popping up on screen, there is a small screen on the control panel of the TIE that shows were enemy fighters are. Unlock with Codes: Type in and enter NYM!UUOK, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter BLKHLMT! and R2-D2 will then confirm. =========== Imperial Shuttle =========== In-Game Description: The Lamba class shuttle was designed to swiftly transport Imperial personal and cargo between starships and various installations across the galaxy. Sienar Fleet Systems built the shuttles to carry up to 20 passengers in relative safty protected by standard reinforced hull plating and multiple sheild generators. The Lamba class is also armed with several laser cannons and equipped with a hyperdrive for travel between fleets and systems. The starship was designed for a 4 person crew with two additional positions for communications and power regulation. Cockpit Description: The Imperial Shuttle's cockpit is much like the Millennium Falcon's in that it is long and has more space to the right of you. But unlike the Falcon, the window has no crossbeams. The control panel is layout out very simply too. The command cross and radar are on the left and the shield indicator and secondary weapon icon are on the right, and all of them are a decent size. The panel is full of detail, including buttons, knobs, levers, and anything else you can think of. Also, if you look to the left, you can watch your wings open and close. All this combines to make a decent cockpit. Visiblity: High; A big window with no obstructions make for good visibility. Primary Weapon: 4 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 2 Rear Laser Cannons Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer Playable Missions: Imperial Acadamy Heist, Triumph of the Empire, Revenge on Yavin How to Obtain: You must obtain golds in both in Triumph of the Empire and Revenge on Yavin. Unlock with Codes: Type in and enter AJHH!?JY, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter BUSTOUR and R2-D2 will then confirm. +------------------------------------------------------------------+ + OTHER CRAFT + +------------------------------------------------------------------+ =========== Naboo Starfighter =========== In-Game Description: The fast, agile starfighter used by the Naboo Space Fighter Core, the N-1, is armed with twin laser cannons and a full compliment of proton torpedoes. However, the vehicle is reserved for rutine patrols and escorting the Queen's starship to other worlds. Designed by Naboo engineers, the N-1 incorperates many Nubian components, including a Monarc C-4 hyperdrive. The starfighter also utilizes a standard astromech droid to assist with navigation and in flight repairs. Cockpit Description: This cockpit, like the A-Wing, is plain but makes for a great cockpit. It has a full glass dome with no crossbeams that makes for great visiblity. Also, the control panel layout is quite nice, but personally, I think they put the wrong things in the wrong places. Small and up in the center is the shield indicator, then there are two big circle gauges that encircle the radar, on the left, and the command cross, on the right. Then very small and between the two gauges lies the secondary weapon icon. Along with this unique control layout, the N-1 has a good amount of detail. Another thing that is wierd about this cockpit is that when you turn your head to look at the engines, you can't see the blue flames that should be shooting out. This is the only major problem with this cockpit. Visiblity: High; A complete glass dome makes for great visibility. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 6 Proton Torpedoes Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Homing Proton Torpedoes Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Endurance How to Obtain: Unlocking the N-1 is quite easy, but it takes time and patience. To unlock it, you need to completely beat the Tatooine Training course in four different times: Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Night. "Beating" the training level includes beating all of the races, killing 60 womprats, and completing all of the lessons and finding all of the items. (Discovery and Bonus) For more help on this, look at the "Tatooine Traing FAQ." Unlock with Codes: Type in and enter CDYXF!?Q, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter ASEPONE! and R2-D2 will then confirm. =========== Slave I =========== In-Game Description: The personal starship of bounty hunter Boba Fett, Slave I, is a drastically altered firespray-class patrol craft. The starfighter has been rebuilt with holding cells, a dedicated tracking system, improved deflector shields, a massive hyperdrive engine, and numerous concealed weapons. The craft is unusual because it flies upright with the pilot standing at the vehicles controls as Slave I cruises through space at speeds comprable to those of an Alliance Y-Wing fighter. Cockpit Description: This is the area where the Slave I redeems itself a little. It has a nice cockpit. I has a large window that allow for good visiblity, and its control panel layout isnt bad. The command cross is high and to the left and next to that are the small radar and shield indicator. The secondary weapon icon is high and to the right. One problem with this layout is that the radar is so small that its is pratically unusable. Also, the interior is quite detailed. Visiblity: High; Broad window with no obstructions make for good visibility. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 20 Cluster Missiles Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Advanced Cluster Missiles, Homing Cluster Missiles Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Endurance How to Obtain: This craft can also be a little confusing to unlock. You must have at least a silver medals in all 10 normal missions as well as have silver medals in Death Star Escape and Astroid Field. NOTE: One thing that some people have trouble with is that they sometimes unlock Triumph of the Empire before they unlock either Death Star Escape and Astroid Field. So I recommend unlocking those two levels first. But you can unlock Triumph of the Empire first, but that will require you to obtain some gold medals to get the points needed to unlock the other two levels. Unlock with Codes: Type in and enter PZ?APBSY, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter IRONSHIP and R2-D2 will then confirm. =========== Buick =========== Description: The Buick is a sort of running gag in the Star Wars games that are made by Factor 5. It has been a playable craft in their previous games: Rogue Squadron, Battle for Naboo, and now Rogue Leader. The Buick takes the place of the second A-Wing in the hanger, and, as it turns out, it is quite a craft. It has powerful weapons, including Cluster Missles, and it also can gain quite a bit of speed by putting its convertable hood up. Cockpit Description: The cockpit of this Car is easily the best cockpit in the game. It is full of detail, including a steering wheel, rearview mirror, and even a bobing-head monkey! The dash board has all of the intruments the same size and in one big line: first the command cross, then the radar, then the shield indicator, and lastly the secondary weapon icon. Another nice feature is the hood that can be put up or down depending on if you have the "S-Foils" opened or closed. Visiblity: Low; a large steering wheel, bobing-head monkey, and big dash board make for poor visiblity Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons Secondary Weapon: 20 Cluster Missles Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer, Homing Cluster Missles, Advanced Cluster Missiles Playable Missions: Ison Corridor Ambush, Razor Rendezvous, Vengeance on Kothlis, Raid on Bespin, Battle of Endor, Endurance How to Obtain: You can only obtain the Car by using a code. Type in and enter !ZUVIEL!, then after R2-D2 doesn't confirm this, type in and enter !BENZIN! and R2-D2 will then confirm. =========== Cloud Car =========== Description: The Bespin Motors Storm IV twin-pod Cloud Car is an atmospheric vehicle that includes both repulsorlift and ion engines. Like the Skyhopper, the Cloud Car has a high flight ceiling that allows it to fly high in Bespin's atmosphere. Cloud City on employs these quick crafts to patrol the parameters of the city. Cockpit Description: The Cloud Car cockpit is another one of those unique cockpits. It has an ugly window but a beatiful control panel. First of all, the window is boxed off with grating in a very ugly fashion. Also, this makes for poor visiblity. But, on the other hand, the control panel is the best one on the game. In the top center is a big gauge that shows the radar. Then below that are two more smaller gauges. The one to the left is the command cross, and the one to the right is the secondary weapon icon. Then up, to the right, and sort of detached from the rest is the shield indicator. All this plus not too much cluter makes for a simple, great control layout. Also, if you look around the Cloud Car cockpit, to the right of you is the other pod (with no guy inside), and above you are lots of buttons and knobs. Visiblity: Low; A small window and window grating make visibility low. Primary Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons (one on each pod) Secondary Weapon: None Upgrades: Advanced Lasers, Advanced Shields, Advanced Targeting Computer Playable Missions: Raid on Bespin How to Obtain: This craft isn't really "hidden," it's just kinda there. It's only located in Raid on bespin. There are four platforms on Cloud City that have blue rebel insignas above them. These are the four locations of the Cloud Cars. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> STATISTICS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Every craft in Rogue Leader has a special purpose or things that it is good at. In this section of the FAQ I, with the help of many people in the Rogue Leader Message Board (check Credit Section), will be comparing the abilties of all of the ships. The catagories I will be comparing are: Speed, Laser Strength, Agility, and Shields. +------------------------------------------------------------------+ + SPEED + +------------------------------------------------------------------+ By flying set distances with all of the ships and timing the time it takes each ship to fly that distance, we are able to see the ratio of speeds between all of the ships. The data is as follows: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Standard Flight: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 60 A-Wing: 120 Speeder: 79 Y-Wing: 77 Millennium Falcon: 153 B-Wing: 52 TIE Fighter: 77 Cloud Car: 120 TIE Advanced: 88 Slave I: 62 Naboo Starfighter: 136 T-16 Skyhopper: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------ W/ Boosts: ------------------------------------------------------------------ A-Wing: 153 Speeder: 100 ------------------------------------------------------------------ S-foils Closed: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 136 Imperial Shuttle: 98 B-Wing: 72 ========================== F A S T E S T S H I P ========================== 1st) Millennium Falcon 2nd) Naboo Starfighter 3rd) Cloud Car/A-Wing +------------------------------------------------------------------+ + LASER STRENGTH + +------------------------------------------------------------------+ By shooting fixed objects in space (Imperial Star Destroyer's shield generator) and counting how many linked laser blasts it takes to destroy the object or timing how long it takes to destroy it then averaging the data, we can determine with ship has the most powerful lasers. The data is as follows: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Linked Lasers: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 180 A-Wing: 104 Speeder: 120 Y-Wing: 96 Millennium Falcon: 218 B-Wing: 106 TIE Fighter: 133 Cloud Car: 100 TIE Advanced: 150 Slave I: 104 Naboo Starfighter: 104 T-16 Skyhopper: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------ Charged Linked Lasers: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 100 A-Wing: 52 Speeder: 52 Y-Wing: 52 Millennium Falcon: 100 B-Wing: 76 TIE Fighter: 144 Cloud Car: 52 TIE Advanced: 144 Slave I: 52 Naboo Starfighter: 52 T-16 Skyhopper: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------ Total: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 140 A-Wing: 78 Speeder: 86 Y-Wing: 74 Millennium Falcon: 156 B-Wing: 91 TIE Fighter: 139 Cloud Car: 76 TIE Advanced: 147 Slave I: 78 Naboo Starfighter: 78 T-16 Skyhopper: N/A ========================== M O S T P O W E R F U L L A S E R ========================== 1st) Millennium Falcon 2nd) TIE Advanced 3rd) Imperial Shuttle +------------------------------------------------------------------+ + AGILITY + +------------------------------------------------------------------+ By timing how long it takes each ship to do a complete 360 degree left turn, a complete upward flip, and a complete roll and taking the average of each we can figure out which craft is the most agile. The data is as follows: ------------------------------------------------------------------ 360 Degree Turn: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 54 A-Wing: 103 Speeder: 68 Y-Wing: 79 Millennium Falcon: 41 B-Wing: 100 TIE Fighter: 101 Cloud Car: 112 TIE Advanced: 101 Slave I: 82 Naboo Starfighter: 103 T-16 Skyhopper: 101 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Upward Flip: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 44 A-Wing: 101 Speeder: N/A Y-Wing: 63 Millennium Falcon: 57 B-Wing: 83 TIE Fighter: 146 Cloud Car: 101 TIE Advanced: 99 Slave I: 67 Naboo Starfighter: 120 T-16 Skyhopper: 99 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Roll: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 48 A-Wing: 133 Speeder: N/A Y-Wing: 100 Millennium Falcon: 57 B-Wing: 97 TIE Fighter: 118 Cloud Car: 141 TIE Advanced: 99 Slave I: 60 Naboo Starfighter: 223 T-16 Skyhopper: 99 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Total: ------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 49 A-Wing: 112 Speeder: N/A Y-Wing: 81 Millennium Falcon: 52 B-Wing: 93 TIE Fighter: 122 Cloud Car: 121 TIE Advanced: 100 Slave I: 70 Naboo Starfighter: 249 T-16 Skyhopper: 100 ========================== M O S T A G I L E ========================== 1st) Naboo Starfighter 2nd) TIE Fighter 3rd) Cloud Car

OK. This catagory was a little tricky to pull off. For it, I destroyed
every TIE and laser cannon so that there was only one laser cannon left.
I then flew straight into the laser fire counting exactly how many hits it
took to destroy my fighter. The hardest part about this was doing it for
the crafts with droids for repairing. For those ships, I had to make sure I
destroyed my craft in one pass, and one pass only. But after hours of
practice, I did it, and I hope it payed off! Also, all the craft in this data
have the Advanced Shields Upgrade. The data is as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Shield Strength:
------------------------------------------------------------------
X-Wing: 100 Imperial Shuttle: 91
A-Wing: 45 Speeder: 91
Y-Wing: 318 Millennium Falcon: 241
B-Wing: 354 TIE Fighter: 45
Cloud Car: 50 TIE Advanced: 91
Slave I: 91 Naboo Starfighter: 109
T-16 Skyhopper: N/A
==========================
S T R O N G E S T S H I E L D

1st) B-Wing
2nd) Y-Wing
3rd) Millennium Falcon
NOTE: All numbers here are based off of pohsyb's system of "normalizing"
the data. They are all ratios relative to the X-Wing.
Example: X-Wing: 100 A-Wing: 122
This means the A-Wing is 1.22 times faster than the X-Wing.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RUMORS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
There have been many rumors floating around about "Secret Ships" that
haven't been unlocked yet but maybe unlockable soon via codes. I thought I'd
take the time to explain some of the more popular rumors here in hopes that
it will clear up some confusion. The two most popular ideas for secret ships
are:
Jedi Starfighter:
The Jedi Starfigher is probably the most popular (and logical) idea for
a secret ship. The Jedi Starfighter is a craft that looks remarkably like
the A-Wing, but unlike the A-Wing, this craft is equipped with an astromech
droid making this a potentially durable craft. The reason this craft has a
good chance of being in the game is because of what happened in the original
Rogue Squadron. In Rogue Squadron, after Episode I: The Phantom Menace was
released, a code to unlock the Naboo Starfigher was soon released. If Rogue
Leader is anything like its predecessor, then after the release of
Episode II: Attack of the Clones there is a good chance a code will be
released unlocking the Jedi Starfigher.
Conclusion: The film came and went and no codes were released. The Jedi
Starfighter is NOT in the game.
TIE Bomber:
This craft was also a popular rumor as a secret ship, though it has kind
of died down lately. The TIE Bomber is like the Y-Wing in that its secondary
weapon would be a payload of bombs, but not much else is known about it.
The reason it became so popular was because in the Empire's hanger, if you
look up at the center of the ceiling you will be able to see a TIE Bomber
hanging there. This sparked the rumor, but this rumor has died down quite a
bit since its creation. Many now believe it may have been originally planned
to be a playable craft in the game, but it was taken out due to time
constraints.
Conclusion: Years have passed since the game's release, and no such craft has
ever been unlocked. Sorry to get everyone's hopes up.

Statistics Credit:
I want to say a very special thanks to all of those who worked in the
"Official Craft Research Topic" in the Message Board. A lot of my data
in the statistics section came from that topic.
First, I would like to thank:
- ISD Commander for starting the "Official Craft Research Topic"
- pohsyb for providing the laser stats
- blueflame for providing some of the agility stats
Also, I would like to say thank you to: ImaLilPissed, ISD Commander, The
Jumping JubJub, Polyphenus, Valmont, and rgw.
Thanks again guys!
Special Thanks:
I would like to thank ProtoDude a great deal. I temporarily deleted
this FAQ, and he saved me by sending it back to me. None of this would
have been possible without him. THANK YOU! Also, ProtoDude was also
making a craft FAQ while I was.
Thanks to:
-ImaLilPissed for writing the "Tatoonie Training FAQ" and his
"Tech Upgrade FAQ" so I could link to them!
-andrewy 2001 for reminding me how to get the Imperial Shuttle on
Triumph of the Empire and Revenge on Yavin.
-VIPER3000, ImaLilPissed, Pablo, and The Dark Llama for pointing out one
of my many errors.
-Everyone at the Rogue Leader Message Board for helping with the codes,
especially LLivingLarge and roquesquadronmaster.
-The Game Master for pointing out a mistake in the Millennium Falcon
section.
-Tiree for pointing out a mistake in the Speeder Section.
-Colin Krause and Jacob Rekoon for informing me about the Buick code.
-ImaLilPissed for pointing out several stupid mistakes in the Buick
Section.
