Version 1.0 (1/28/02): This FAQ is now complete!

Version 0.95 (1/25/02): I now have 48 of 50 puzzles completed in this FAQ! 
I'm currently stumped on #49, so I decided to send this update now. The last 
2 puzzles (and anything else, if there is something after that) will be added 
with the next and final update.

Version 0.75 (1/19/02): I have 39 puzzle solutions added as of now! I have 
the layout for #40 listed, but I've yet to find a way to beat it. Expect more 
solutions to be added next time to hopefully finish this FAQ up!

Version 0.5 (1/16/02): Not a big update here, as I only added 5 more puzzles 
to the guide. Naturally they're getting harder, so my updates will be more 
sporadic, but be patient and it'll be done!

So this is the very first FAQ written for a Famicom Disk System game, and the 
game covered is Panic Space! This is a rather interesting game of the puzzle 
genre, where you must direct a laser beam to the locked exit in each room. 
However, the laser cannot hit any walls or the room will explode, causing you 
to lose! So you have to push around reflector panels and blocks to direct the 
laser to the exit, where you can then escape. It sounds like a simple task, 
but believe me; it is HARD, so be prepared if you wish to try this out!

Game Modes
----------

Game Mode: Here, you play 50 puzzles in order, one at a time. You have 5
           lives to do so, although you could probably earn more as you go
           along. This is the main mode of the game, basically.

Puzzle Mode: The puzzles in this mode are exactly the same as the ones in the
             regular Game Mode. The reason for playing them here is for
             practice, since you don't lose lives in this mode.

Edit: You can pick a stage, then you can add all sorts of things to it,
      making it a customized board! You can even play it after you set it up
      to see if you can beat your own creation, too!

Save: Be sure to use this option to save your game after several puzzles or
      so, or else your progress will not be recorded!


Gameplay
--------

As you may (or may not) already know, the objective of this game is to direct 
a laser beam so it hits the Exit box in each level. This can prove to be 
tough, since if the beam hits any wall, it'll make the room explode, causing 
you to lose a life! Have your character move around reflector panels, blocks, 
and the laser gun itself to direct the laser towards the Exit, so you can 
escape! The walkthrough for each level will be something like this (assuming 
the room is a 5x8 tile size):

where your character starts, where the laser blaster is/direction it points, 
Exit location). Following that will be a guide to beat that stage, so follow 
my steps closely and you'll succeed!

      I'm going by the assumption you collect an item in each level,
      regardless if I direct you to or not.

Walk 2 steps down, then 1 right, pushing the reflector at E6 over to E7. From 
E6, go up 2 steps and push the reflector at C7 to C8, out of the way. The 
laser will then reflect and hit the Exit. Go left and down to exit the stage.

Go down and push the block at L9 all the way up to A9, then push it left to 
A6. Push the second block at C5 up to B5. Go down and push the laser down to 
M5, then push it right to M6. Go back up and push the block at B5 right to 
D5, then push the laser right again to M7. Push the block at A6 right to A8, 
then push the laser to M8. Repeat that pattern until you get the laser to M10 
and it hits the Exit, then exit this stage.

You'll notice an item at F8; pick it up when it displays the Bomb. Go up to 
B6 and place the Bomb on the block on B5. Doing so will allow the laser to 
hit the Exit, so just go up to A5 and escape!

Get the Bomb when it appears in the rotation at J2, then place it on the 
Laser at A7 to eliminate it. Then, push the block at E7 down 3 spaces to H7, 
so it's right next to the reflector panel. Push the Laser at I14 up 1 space 
to H14 so the block prevents it from hitting the wall. Push the reflector 
left 4 spaces to I3, then push the Laser back down to I14, so it hits the 
reflector and the Exit!

then push the block at C12 right 2 spaces to C14. Then, push the block at B13

Here, start off by pushing the reflector located at E5 left 3 spaces. Then, 
go around to the north half of the board, then walk on the Meteo (blue 
outlined thing on the floor) and push the reflector at E2 down 2 spaces. Now, 
go to C7 and push the reflector at C8 right 3 spaces, then go around and push 
it up 1 space, leaving it at B11. Push that reflector left 9 spaces and leave 
it there for now. Then, push the reflector at C5 right 6 spaces, down 3 
spaces, and left 9 spaces (the reflector should be at F2 when you're done). 
Push the Laser right 1 space to E11. Next, go left and up across the Meteo 
and push the reflector you left at B2 earlier down 1 space, then go right and 
down to the south half of the area. Now, push the Laser down 1 space and it 
should reflect off the panels, hitting the Exit!

Go to J8 and push the reflector at I8 up 1 space, to block the Laser's path. 
Then, go to B2 and stand on the Meteo, then push the reflector at B3 to the 
right 5 spaces, down 3, and left 1. The Laser will reflect to hit the Exit,

Go right and push the reflector at A4 all the way to the corner, which is 
A12. From there, go down and left across the Meteos, and push the reflector 
at I6 right 2 spaces to I8. Then, push the reflector at F4 all the way to the

B7 and push the reflector at B6 left 1 space, causing the Laser to reflect 
and hit the Exit at the end!

Okay, start by heading to G5 and push the reflector at G4 left 1 space. Then, 
push the block at H4 down 1 space, then go around and push that same block 
all the way left to I1. Also, push the block at H3 all the way left to H1. 
Next, push the reflector at G3 down 2 spaces to I3. Now, make your way all 
the way to the upper-left area of the stage, and collect the Bomb item at A1. 
Go to A4 and push the block at B4 down 1 space, then push the block at B3 
left 1 space. Then, push the reflector panel at C3 down 2 spaces to E3. Get 
back around to I6 and place the Bomb on the reflector at I7. After you 
destroy it, the Laser will be able to reach the Exit!

to block the other Laser. Now, go around to G8 and push the reflector at G7 
left 6 spaces to G1. After that, head to B9 and push the block at C9 down 1

Head to J4 and push the block at I4 up 3 spaces (be sure to grab the Bomb 
item along the way). Then, head all the way around to D14 and place a Bomb on 
the Laser at D13 to destroy it. After that, place a second Bomb on the block 
at D11. Next, push the block at E11 up 2 spaces and 1 to the left. Then, push 
the block at E12 up 1 and right 1. Push the block at G11 up 2 spaces, then 
push the other block at G12 up 1 and left 1. Now, go back to D1 and push the 
reflector at D2 right 9 spaces, 4 down, 2 right, and finally 1 down. Go to I3 
and push the block at I2 left so the Laser can pass and reflect all the way 
to the Exit.

Grab the Bomb from the item rotation at B8. Then, place the Bomb on the Laser 
at H4 to get it out of the way. Now, push the reflectors located at E4, E5, 
E7, and E8 down 1 space each. Then, push the reflector at E10 left 3 spaces 
so it reflects the Laser to the Exit for your escape!

Start by heading to B4 and push the reflector at B3 left 1 space. Then, go 
around to G11 and collect a Bomb item. Push the block at G10 left 3 spaces, 
then push the block at G12 up 1 space. Then, push the reflector at H13 left 
2, up 1, and left 3 spaces. Go to C9 and push the block at C10 right 3 
spaces, then push the block at D8 up 1 and right 3 spaces. Next, go to C5 and 
push the block at C6 right 5 spaces. Head to D4 and push the block at C4 up 
1, right 1, down 1, and then right 5 spaces. Now, push the reflector you left 
at G8 up 4 spaces and left 4 spaces. Then, go all the way around and push the 
block at I2 left 1 space, allowing the Laser to hit and be blocked by the 
reflector up ahead. Go back around again and push that reflector at B2 down 3 
spaces. Push the block at D3 right 2 spaces. Then, push the reflector at C4 
up 1, left 2, and down 1 space. Finally, place a Bomb on the other reflector 
at E2 to allow the Laser to hit the other one and open the Exit!

Collect a Bomb item from the rotation at J3. Then, push the reflector at F7 
left 5 spaces and down 1 so the Laser cuts through the Meteos to the right of 
it. Go to H8 and push the reflector at G8 up 1 so the Laser reflects off it 
and cuts through more Meteos. After that, push that reflector back down 1 
space again. Now, go around and push the reflector at G2 back up 1 space to 
block the Laser. Next, push the reflector at E7 right 1, down 1, left 5, and 
up 1 to E3. Then, push the other reflector at G8 up 1 and left 5. Finally, 
push the reflector at F2 down 1 so the Laser can reflect off the other 2 and 
hit the Exit!

Start off this level by grabbing a Bomb item at A5, then push the reflector 
at B4 left 1 space, and the block at A4 right 2 spaces. Push the reflector at 
E3 right 1 and up 1 space. Next, get to E10 and place a Bomb on the reflector 
at E9 to destroy it. Then, go to G9 and push the reflector at F9 up 1 and 
left 1 space. Push the reflector at H8 down 1 space. After that, make your 
way around to I3 and push the reflector at H3 up 1 and right 1 space. Go back 
around, then push the reflector at F5 left 2 spaces, then the one at H4 left 
2 spaces as well. Next, push the reflector at G4 down 1, right 2, up 2, and 
right 1 space. Go around and push that same reflector down 1, right 2, and 
down 1. Now, push the reflector at E8 right 1 space, then the reflector at B8 
down 3 spaces. Push the one at D6 right 2 spaces to D8. Finally, push the 
reflector at B3 right 1 and up 1 space. That will get the Laser to reflect 
all the way to the Exit!

at I3, and place the Whirl at I2. Now, push the Laser down 2 spaces so it 
shoots straight at the Exit!
