THANKS _/_/_/_/_/ 1 - A Little Reading _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ This is mainly a start to end walkthrough. I will not go into details about the enemies or the story (because it's in Japanese). If anyone decides to make a serious FAQ, they have my permission to use this one as a base if they so choose to. Giving due credit of course. _/_/_/_/_/ 2 - Overview _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ This game is a blatant Castlevania 2 ripoff. It doesn't have an open ended world, but the look, feel and some weapons are clearly inspired by CV2. The game itself is level based, but you can go back and forth between floors if you wish. _/_/_/_/_/ 3 - Controls _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Jump/Attack: Press the A button to jump and the B button to attack. Special Weapon: Once you get a special weapon, press Down and B to throw it. Pause: Press Start to pause the game. Menu: Press Select to open the menu. _/_/_/_/_/ 4 - Menus _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ During the game, press Select to open the menu: -First option is to select your Special Weapon. -Second option is to use an item. -Third option is throw away an item. -Fourth option is the status screen. -Fifth option is to save the game. First selection means yes, second is no. _/_/_/_/_/ 5 - Items _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Sword: You start with this and can't be changed. Chests: Usually contain potions to refill your energy, Luck increasers, WP increasers, among other stuff. Always open them. The following are the special weapons you will find throughout the game, these use WP or Weapon Power. WP is the same thing as the Hearts in Castlevania. Holy Water: Used to hit torches in the background and to also hit enemies. Arrow: Horizontal projectile good to hit enemies afar. Bomb: Used to blow up pillars and hit enemies. Flame: Used to hit enemies multiple times. Cross: Same as Castlevania really. Holy Book: Attack all enemies on the screen. _/_/_/_/_/ 6 - Walkthrough _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _________________ First Tower Floor ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ If you open a chest and it doesn't say in English: LUCK, LIFE or WP, then it's probably an important item or a status item. First Room: Right where you start, go to the right wall and use your sword to uncover a chest. It may be important, so open it by crouching in front of it. Go left and climb the "stairs", some slimes will attack you. Kill them to gain experience points. Continue going left and climb another set of "stairs". Don't worry about what's to the right of you, because it's the same thing on the left. In other words, the stages wrap around. After climbing the stairs, you'll notice an opening in the ceiling. Press Up to make an elevator appear. Once there, enter the door to your right by pressing Up. If you have over 50 Experience Points, a chest will appear. You'll get the [Holy Water]. Go out. Equip it by opening the menu, selecting the first option and picking the only Weapon selection there. Now, crouch and press B to hit the torches on the background. The first torch will give you the [Door Key]. Now, climb the ladder found on the left side of the door. Go left and you'll see another opening on the ceiling. Press Up again to summon another elevator. Once up there, go right and climb the ladder you see. Go right and on the next ceiling opening, press Up again. Go right, ignore the ladder and enter the door found on your right. The reason you didn't go left after the elevator was because the floor crumbles under your feet, so you have to go right. Anyway, enter the door, hit more torches and grab the chests. Go out, then left and up the ladder you ignored earlier. Go right and stand near the edge of the floor and a moving platform will come out and carry you to the next door. If you have the Key, you'll be able to go in. Second Room: Just go right and enter the next door. Third Room: Go left, drop down, hit the torches. Go down stairs, jump over the pit to the dead end on the right and hit the wall for a hidden chest will a life upgrade. Go left and drop down, enter the door. Now here comes a little puzzle. Hit all 3 torches and they will lit up again. Hit them a 2nd time and they will lit up again. Hit them a 3rd time and Death will appear. Fight and defeat him and pick up the chest he leaves behind. I have no idea what you get. Go out, drop down. Drop down again. Go left and drop down again. Hit the torches and go down stairs. Go right, hit the dead end wall for a chest. Enter the door. Fourth Room: Go right and enter the door. Ignore the chests on top. Fifth Room: Turn left and hit the wall for a hidden chest. Go right and hit the torches. Climb stairs, go up ladder, go right to more stairs and climb another ladder. A chest will appear in the middle of the room. *SECRET DOOR* Just a bit right off the chest, right between the 2nd & 3rd background pillars, there is a hidden door. Just keep pressing Up until you enter. You will enter the previously visited room, but this time through the ceiling. Take the 3 chests to get the [Door Key] and go back. Just in case you forgot where you came in from, it's the second floor block starting from the right. Just keep pressing up until you go enter the hidden door. Now back on the Fifth room, go left, climb another set of stairs, keep going left and press Up when you see the opening on the ceiling. Go left and press Up on the next ceiling opening too. Go right and climb the ladder, and go left for the door. Sixth Room: Go right and enter the door. Seventh Room: Hit the torches on the right and climb the ladder. Go left for a lift to the next ladder. Hit the left wall for a hidden chest. Go right, climb the stairs and go up the next ladder. But don't go all the way up, instead get off in the middle, go right for a hidden lift and enter the door for a boss fight. Kill the giant skeleton and open the chest to get the [Silver Arrow]. Go out and take the ladder all the way to the top, go right and take the elevator up. To the right you'll notice some steps, but the middle is missing. Just crouch in front of the bottom block and press B. The middle step should magically appear. Go up, take the stairs and enter the door to your left. Eighth Room: Go left for the next room. Ninth Room: Careful with the red death that appears. Destroy the wall on the right for a chest and go left up the stairs and keep going left for more stairs until you reach a doorway. Enter it to fight another giant skeleton. I belive the chest it leaves behind has the [Door Key]. Go out, right and up using the elevator. Hit the right wall for a secret chest and go left until you reach a door. Enter it to fight the level boss, the Scorpion. __________________ Second Tower Floor ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ From now on, I won't give detailed directions. If I say go to the next door, then just walk until you reach it. There's no way of getting lost. First Room: Destroy the left wall to get a chest with an item you will soon need. Climb the stairs and ladders until you reach a door. Enter it and a purple figure will say something and then disappear. Go out and come in again and the purple figure will say something else and leave behind 3 chests. The chests are facing left, they are a trap. Use the item you got at the start of the level and the chests should turn and face right. Take the chests (the left one will again give you the item you just used to discover the trap), wait a few seconds and a spider will attack you. Defeat it to receive a third weapon, the [Bombs]. Go out. Now that you have the bombs, see those pillars below you in the background? Well you can destroy their bases with the bombs. Do so to get the chests they leave behind. Not all the pillars can be broken though. Now keep going up until you reach a second door. Enter it. Second Room: Destroy the 3rd pillar from the left to get an important item. Go right to the next door. Third Room: Go all the way down, ignoring the first door you see. Enter the second door at the very bottom. A purple figure will say something. Use the item you collected on the previous room (should be the last on your list) and the purple figure will disappear and leave off another important item. Go out and go all the way up and enter the first door you see, which is the only door you haven't entered yet. Fourth Room: Go up and enter the first door you see. You actually have no choice, there is nowhere else to go, so you have to enter. Inside, the room will be dark, use the item you got earlier and the background should change to a ladder and a door. Enter that door to go outside the room, but this time you will be a level above. Destroy the first pillar to get an item. Go all the way up and destroy the pillars to the right and left of the door. You should get two new important items. The items are apparently Gold. Enter the door. Fifth Room: Go right to the next door. The pillars next to the door have again two of the same important items (Gold) you picked up on the room before this one. If you don't have enough item space, don't pick them up right now. If you do, then pick them up. Sixth Room: Go up and enter the first door you see. A purple figure will say something. Go out and enter again. After he says something again, use the last two items you got (they should be the only repeated items). When you use the first one, the purple figure should say something with a number 5. When you use the second one he will say something with a 4. You are apparently giving him gold for an item. If you didn't pick up the gold items in the previous room, then go get them. You should know you got them because they are the only items that repeat in the item menu. Go back to the purple figure, use the items and this time he will say 3 & 2. Now leave the room, go up and destroy the 4th right pillar to get yet another one of those items. Go to the purple figure and use it, he will say something with a 1. Go outside again and hit the same pillar above again to get the last item you need. Go to the purple figure and give the item to him. He vanishes and leaves a chest. Open it to get another item. The item apparently raises your attack power. Use it if you wish. Now that this is done, leave the room and go up the ladder and hit the 1st left pillar and a trap chest will appear. You can tell it's a trap because the chest is facing left. Good chests face right. Anyway, to turn this chest into a good one you need to use one of your items. It's the same item you used in the spider boss room, which you got another one from one of the chests in that same room. Since the item name is in Japanese, I'm going to attempt to describe what the Japanese character looks like. It starts with what looks like a "T" with two small horizontal lines on the bottom. Next character looks like a "<". You should tell which one it is right away because it's the only item with those characters. If by any chance you accidentally used the item, don't worry. Just go down to the door and keep picking up the rightmost chest until you get it again. Ok, so, once in front of the trap chest that came out of the pillar, use the item and the chest will turn right. Open it to get the [Door Key]. Go up and enter the last door. Seventh Room: Go left and enter the next door. Eighth Room: Climb until you reach the first door. Defeat the spider to get another [Door Key]. One of the pillars below the door has one of those items to untrap chests in case you want to get one again. Keep going up until you reach the final door. Enter it to fight the level boss, the 3-headed dragon. _________________ Third Tower Floor ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ First level with pits. So be careful. First Room: Go all the way up, ignoring the first door you see and enter the last door. Inside will be a priest. Go outside and back in and the priest will say something else. Now go down and enter the door you ignored before. Second Room: Jellyfish!! Carefully go right and enter the next door. Third Room: *SECRET DOOR* See that lone red enemy on your left? Kill him and enter a secret door on the platform he was standing in. On the next room, beat the enemies and a chest will appear. You now have the [Flame]. If you enter the room again and get the chest a second time, you instead get a clue as to what to do next. No need to read it if you have this walkthrough though. Leave and continue the stage up. Ignore the first door you see. When you come face to face with a wall that doesn't let you go through, just destroy one of its blocks (it only lets you destroy one anyways) and just press forward. You will automatically jump through it. Keep going up until you see some huge blue columns in the background. Find an elevator to get you to the topmost ground. *SECRET DOOR* Now, after getting off the elevator, throw a bomb to the pillar directly to the right and a hidden door should appear. It's a very small door and you need to press Down to enter (instead of Up). You will appear in the next room, but through the roof. Pick up the 3 chests. Now leave (press Up on the 2nd floor block from the left) and go back down to that door you ignored earlier. Fourth Room: This is room is exactly same same room where you previously got the 3 chests from the roof. So just go right and enter the next door. Fifth Room: *SECRET DOOR* Go left, climb the ladder and press Up to enter a secret door. Inside a priest will say something and leave 3 chests. The first 2 contain a life and weapon refill and the third one has the [Door Key]. Leave and continue going up until you reach a door. Enter it and you will see two tall torches. Use the holy water to hit them an a flower type enemy will drop down. You actually don't even have to trigger this enemy fight if you don't want to. If believe it was put in to mislead you, because the real secret is in the wall to the right. Destroy it and go right to find another room with a trap chest. Use the item to untrap chests (it's the one with the "<" on the name) and you'll get an important item, a platinum sword apparently. If you don't have one of the untrap items, then one of the torches in the room should have given you one. Just keep going in and out of the room until the torches have one. Now, let's turn this Sword into something we can use. Remember that priest all the way on the first room? To go there, from where you are, go all the way down and enter the 4th room, go left and enter the 3rd room, go down and enter the 2nd room, go left and enter the first room. Go up to the priest room. Use the sword item you found (it should be the last item) and your attack power will rise again. Now, to go back to where you left off. Go down to the next door. Then go right to the 3rd room, then up to the 4th room, then right to the 5th room and go all the way up ignoring the first door you see (because you already been there) and enter the door. Sixth Room: Just go right to the next door. Ignore the chests on top. Seventh Room: Go up. Take one elevator and then a second one. After you get off the second elevator, put a bomb on the left blue column for a secret door. Press Down to enter. You will be in the previous room, but through the ceiling. Pick up the chests and leave. Now, you see that wall on the left? Destroy it and drop down to the door below. Pick up the middle chest for the [Door Key] and another flower monster will appear. This time as a boss. Kill it with fire. Leave the room and continue going up to reach the door. Eighth Room: Go right to the next door. Ignore the chests on top. Ninth Room: Right at the start, go to the right and up the stairs, jump on the next platform and press Up for a hidden door. You'll go to the previous room but through the roof. Leave and keep going up until you reach the next door. Inside you will fight the level boss. __________________ Fourth Tower Floor ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Before entering the fourth floor, you'll have a reunion with a princess and she will give you a [Magic Flute]. First Room: Go up. You can destroy those small headstones if you wish. You have to use an untrap item to get the good items out of the chests. Another headstone above has one of those untrap items. Anyway, keep going up until you reach a door. But don't enter it because it will just send you back to the start of the level. Instead, use a bomb on the headstone to the left and a hidden door will appear. Enter it by pressing Down. Inside pick up the Mirror of Truth and a bunch of green balls will attack you. Defeat them to be able to leave the room. Once outside, use the item you just got to turn the stage to normal. Now you can enter that door to the right. Second Room: Go right to the next door. Third Room: You'll start in the middle of the room. Go down and enter the door and a purple figure will say something. Examine the lion statue to refill your energy. Now leave and go all the way up. Examine the lion statues you come across. It's a bit tedious to get to the top because you need to destroy a lot of blocks and be careful with disappearing floors. But once you get to the top, destroy all the blocks to find a hidden entrance. Fourth Room: This room is strange. Just go right to the next door. Hit the torches, even though they don't give you anything. Fifth Room: Go all the way to the top. Destroy the two last headstones and one of the chests will leave a letter. I don't know if it's important. Enter the lower door (the top door is locked). Sixth Room: Go right and pick up the chest, it's another letter. Enter the right door and you'll face a blue dragon. Kill it if you can, if not, avoid it and pick up the chest on the right, then enter the door. You'll be in another room just like the one before, with another blue dragon. Go right and pick up the chest to get the [Cross]. Enter the door and you'll be in another room just like the previous one, use the cross to easily beat the dragon. Go right and pick up the chest for the [Door Key]. If you keep going right, the rooms and the dragon just keep repeating themselves. So go left and you'll automatically leave the series of rooms and you'll be back on the 5th room. Fifth Room (again): Go to the top door and open it with the key you just got. Seventh Room: Go left for the next door. Eighth Room: Go up a ladder and a stair and you'll come across a wall you have to destroy to go through. A chest will pop up, but it's a trap so you need to use that untrap item again (the one with the "<"). Now open the chest and you'll get a staff. I don't know what it's for though. Go all the way up, ignoring the first door you see. Enter the top door to face a red dragon. Use fire to kill it and destroy the blocks on top to get an important item. It's apparently something made of gold. Leave the room and enter that door you ignored earlier. Ninth Room: Go left and enter the next door. Tenth Room: Hit the right torch for an item. If you don't have space, make space then. This item should be the last on your list and the previous item should be the one you got at the red dragon. Now, that previous item you got at the red dragon, use it. You will now be "wearing it". Apparently it's a gold mask or something. So go up, and talk to the lion statues on your way. When you reach the next door, there should be a lion statue on the left, talk to it to trigger the exit door open. Make sure you wear that item before talking to the lion statues, because if you don't, they won't talk to you again and I don't know if you have to die or get a game over to make them talk to you once more. You should know it worked if the last lion statue said something different from the previous ones. Now enter that door on your right and a purple figure will say something. Select the last item on your list, which should be the item you got from the torch at the start of this room, and the purple figure will fill your energy. Now leave the room and go all the way up to the door. It should be unlocked now. Enter it to fight the boss, a huge dragon head. _________________ Fifth Tower Floor ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ The last floor!! At the start, you'll see a door. But if you enter it, you just come out on the same room you were in. I don't know the point of that door. First Room: Go up and talk to the lion statues to get two WP refill items. Continue up, ignore the door for now and take the long elevator going up. Destroy the right wall to get the [Door Key]. This next step is optional, but very recommended. You see that door you ignored? Enter it. A purple figure will ask you something, say yes (first option) and he will leave a chest. It contains some Emeralds. He also remove your sword. You are now unable to attack. Wait outside or explore a bit (using your special weapons to attack) for about 5 or 10 minutes and go back inside. Give him the emeralds and he will leave a chest. Use the item you got from the chest to increase your attack power from 15, to 20. If he doesn't leave a chest, then you need to wait a bit longer. Now go to the top of the floor and enter the door. Second Room: Go right to the next door. Third Room: Go up and when you see a thin pillar with a triangle top, press Up to enter a secret door. Inside you will fight a half-human half-scorpion enemy. Defeat it to gain the [Door Key]. Go out and reach the top of the room. Enter the door now that you have the key and defeat another human/scorpion boss. He will leave a chest an important item. Leave the room, go down and enter again the secret door located at the thin pillar with a triangle top. You will fight the human/scorpion again, after you defeat him, hit the left wall for a secret passage and another door. You should have gotten one of those untrap items from the boss. If you didn't, then kill him over and over until you get one 'cause you are going to need it. Fourth Room: Go up and destroy the walls left of the first door you see. Enter the door to fight yet another human/scorpion boss. You will get the [Boss Key]. Leave and go all the way up. It will look like there's nothing more to go up to, but position yourself between the two torches and press Up. A hidden elevator will take you to the real top of the room. Don't enter the door yet, if you do, you'll get sent back to the start of the room. Instead, press Up on the lion statues so they both are facing the door. If done right, you should get a message. Now you can enter the door. Fifth Room: Go right and enter the door. Sixth Room: Go up and enter the first door you see by droping from the floor above. Once you enter, you'll get a message. Crouch for 10 seconds and a chest will appear. Open it to get the [Holy Book], which is the last special weapon. Leave the room and go up to the floor directly above the door and destroy the right wall. A trapped chest will appear. Use the untrap item and open it to get the [Door Key]. Keep going up until and enter the top door. Seventh Room: Go left and enter the door. Eighth Room: Go left and enter the door. Inside press up on the lion statues to get a WP and Life item, then pick up the chest on the left. Leave the room, go to the left edge of the screen and press Up for an elevator. Then go to the right edge of the screen and press Up for another elevator. Go to the top of the room and enter the door to fight the last boss. _________________ Final Tower Floor ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ This is just a series of boss fights. You now have a 300 second limit to fight the last boss and reach the princess. You have to use the Holy Book to kill him faster. After you beat him, 3 stairs will appear which send you to fight the bosses of the previous levels. Depending on which stair you chose, you will fight only 1 boss or all 4 before reaching the princess. Here's a diagram to where the doors lead: Left Door Middle Door Right Door | | | Lev.1 Boss | | | | | | | | |¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | | Left Door Right Door | | | | | | Lev.2 Boss | | | | | | | | | | | |¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | | | Left Door Right Door | | | | | | | | Lev.3 Boss | Lev.3 Boss Lev.3 Boss | | | | | | | | | | | Lev.4 Boss Lev.4 Boss Lev.4 Boss Lev.4 Boss Lev.4 Boss | | | | | | | | | | Princess Princess Princess Princess Princess As you can see, the best door to pick is the right one. You will only fight the level 4 boss and you'll reach the princess right away. Now all you have to do is use the Magic Flute she gave you before starting the Fourth Tower Floor. (Why did she even give it to you in the first place?) Now you'll get the good ending. If you want the bad ending, just let the time run out. _/_/_/_/_/ 7 - Thanks _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Thanks to Jonny2x4 and wyrdwad from www.hardcoregaming101.net for their translation help.
