Welcome to 'Exciting Soccer: Konami Cup' for the Famicom Disk System, released
by Konami in 1988.

02.)                    BASICS                                       G0200

There are two options at the main screen which you cycle through with the
SELECT button and confirm with START:

SELECT TEAM
GAME

The only difference is that you get to name your team rather than the pre-
selected names. If you select a team you can rename it and then confirm (left)
or discard (right).

With either choices you will get to the next screen.

 * Exhibition Match
 * League Cup
 * EXCITE

TIME 15/30/45 (cycle with LEFT/RIGHT)

The Exhibition Match asks for which teams you want to play. The opponent is
controlled by another player rather than the AI.

League Cup is the meat of the game. You get to play all other 5 teams twice
and the top team wins the cup. The teames are controlled by the computer AI
which gives you a little challenge.

Playing EXCITE is vs the other player (top option) with random teams or
watching the CPU play against each other with random teams.

The Luck stat is a little ambigious as it is unclear what it really does. In
that case I would discourage using the first two teams because the rest of the
stats are so low in return.


Controls:
`````````

When in control of the ball:
 A   Pass
 B   Shoots
 The shot should usually placed into a direction beforehand by using the D-pad.
 Add a direction to the shot WHILE in the air will spin it a little bit. Try,
 it is is very easy and cool.
 The longer you hold down the B button after releasing the ball from the
 player's foot the stronger the shot will be. If you hold it down all the way
 there is a high chance it will hit the bar or just go over the goal all
 together.

When not in control of the ball:

Goalkeeper/Goalkick/Corner Kick
 A for a long boot.
 B for a short throw/kick.

A will slide into a player with the ball with various effect. If you find your
guy is not sliding it is because you are not close enough or the direction you
pressed is wrongly aligned.

Throw-ins are always to the player nearby and with the same length of throw.
