Introduction (NTR) =============================================================================== Hi, this is the first FAQ I've created. I hope you will find this useful and easy to read. I chose this game because there weren't any FAQs for the game at the time of writing this. The story isn't explained in the game more than the first cutscene so I will borrow parts from Wikipedia to explain the story as well as I can. If you don't know already, you can browse through the FAQ a bit quicker using the CTRL+F command. =============================================================================== 3. Story (STY) =============================================================================== In a village, a red magical jewel called Arumana was resting peacefully on a shrine, until one day, the jewel was stolen, turning the villagers into stone. It is up to the main protagonist to retrieve Arumana and restore peace in the village. =============================================================================== 4. Controls (CTL) =============================================================================== Directional pad: Pressing up on the D-pad will make the player climb up a rope. Pressing down on will make the character duck down, or if hanging on a rope, climb down. Pressing left or right will make the character move in their respective directions. Select button: Changes weapons. Start button: Pauses game during gameplay. Used to start the game in the title screen. B button: Makes the character throw/shoot your chosen weapon. When pressing up at the same time, the character throws out a grappling hook. Is also used to detonate thrown bombs. A button: Makes the character jump. =============================================================================== 5. Weapons (WPN) =============================================================================== ------ Dagger ------ Your default weapon, has low strength and a short throwing distance. Strength: 1 Speed: Average Distance: Short ------ Bomb ------ A powerful bomb. Short throwing range. Flies in an arc, is detonated by pressing the B button. The explosion lasts for roughly two seconds, the hit radius is much smaller than the animation, making successful hits difficult. The explosion will not damage you. Strength: 5 Speed: Slow Distance: Short ------ Pistol ------ A decent gun. Bullets fly far and quick. Strength: 2 Speed: Fast Distance: Long ------ Bolas ------ A throwing weapon. Flies diagonally upwards. Has decent strength. Strength: 3 Speed: Fast Distance: Long ------ Orb ------ A magical orb. Damages all enemies on the screen. Quite weak. Enemies defeated with this don't give score. Strength: 1 Speed: N/A Distance: N/A ------ Mace ------ A heavy mace. Flies in an arc. Deals decent damage. Can be used to break certain walls. Strength: 2 Speed: Slow Distance: Short =============================================================================== 6. Walkthrough (WTR) =============================================================================== You start the game with three lives and five bars of health. The default Hi-Score is 50,000. ---------------------- Tips for the adventure ---------------------- You start the game with 30 daggers. If you waste the daggers, you will get up to 50 daggers, this happens every time you use up your last remaining weapon. Ducking is a good way of avoiding projectiles, since the top half of the character's body doesn't recognize a hit. This makes traversing small caves a lot easier. Unfortunately you can't attack when ducking. You can reach different areas with your grapple if you time your jumps well. I mention this a lot in this walkthrough. I call it "jump grappling", except for the first stage walkthrough, so that you could get used to the way it works. The jump grapple is performed like this, press B, while the grapple is flying, jump toward/away from the target and since the grapple follows you, it can reach greater heights/lengths. If you are going for a high score, avoid zapping enemies with the Orb, the game doesn't give you points for defeating enemies with it. You can weaken the enemies (such as the last boss) with the Orb and then finish off with a different weapon. Now start the game, switch to disk side B and welcome yourself to... --------------------------------- Stage 1 - The Caverns (ST1) --------------------------------- Items ----- Bolas Bomb x3 Chicken Mace x2 Necklace Orb x2 Pistol x2 Enemies and threats ------------------- Fire Henchmen Snakes Spears The Water Monster (B) Walkthrough ----------- Proceed right, when reaching the cave, watch out for the doorway-like caves, enemies spawn from those. Proceed until you see a platform with a Snake spawn, throw your grappling hook (Up + B) under the platform, climb the rope and grab the Bomb. Proceed right until you see another platform similar to the one before, climb up the platform and grab the Mace. Go right a little and start climbing up the platforms, but be wary, the left wall will shoot Spears when you climb/jump up towards the platform with the Pistol. Climb there cautiously, collect the Pistol, climb onto the next platform and jump over the small gap. Now, there is a secret here, select your Mace, go near the left wall, throw a couple of Maces to break the wall. Here you will find a Necklace (adds an extra health bar), a Chicken leg and a Mace. Go back right (destroy any respawned parts of the wall) and climb up onto the platform on the right (above the Henchman spawn), then climb on the next platform and the camera should reveal Bolas above you. Throw your grapple and then jump when the grapple is about to reach the wall. If done correctly, you should be able to climb and grab it. Note that you could also just throw the grapple, climb till you reach the top and then press left to grab them, but it is better to learn the trickier way as soon as possible, for it will come in handy later. Now, either jump left or climb left, if you went on the higher platform, watch out for the Fire trap on the left end of the platform. The lower path has two Fire traps right after the Henchman spawn. When you reach a wall on the left, go down until you see an Orb, jump and grab it, then resume climbing. You will reach an elevator platform, jumping on these is really tricky, so it would be much better if you threw the grapple towards the left wall and jumped before it reaches the wall. When you have the rope high enough, jump on it, hang until the elevator goes below you and drop down from the rope (by either throwing a new one or pressing Left/Right + A). Ride the elevator up, then grapple and jump to reach the platform above you, climb up and there's another elevator waiting for you on the right. It is much easier to just jump on this one, but if you want to be sure, just stand on the edge of the platform and grapple the wall on the right, you should just barely reach it. Climb on the platform above and the camera should reveal a platform with a Bomb on it. Climb up and grab 'em if you need the extra Bombs. Proceed right (but look out for the Fire trap) until you see a Pistol with a stone step on the right side. Jump on the step, then grapple and jump to get it. Start going right again. Carefully avoid the four Fire traps when going right. After reaching a small gap, drop straight down until you drop on a small platform, grapple right to reach a platform with an Orb on it. Get it and drop down, keep dropping until you find two ways leading left and right. Go right, but watch out for three Fire traps. Continue until you reach a wall and drop down. Grab the Bomb, then head left until you reach the boss door, which you enter by just walking by it. ------------------------------------ Boss #1 - The Water Monster (BS1) ------------------------------------ Health: 16 Hits Needed: Dagger: 16 Bomb: 4 (3,2) Pistol: 8 Bolas: 6 (5,33333333...) Orb: 16 Mace: 8 Score: 5,000 Difficulty: Easy Suggested Weapon: Pistol This boss is quite simple, it slowly swims at you while spitting fireballs at you, there are also three fireballs circling around the boss, your best bet would be to just stay back and shoot it a couple of times with your Pistol, dodge if it spits a fireball. The boss should be dealt with in a matter of seconds. Of course, if you want a more gutsy approach, you could go next to it and throw Bolas at it. This will probably damage you more so I wouldn't suggest it if your health was low. After defeating the boss, you will move on to... --------------------------------- Stage 2 - The Mountains (ST2) --------------------------------- Items ----- 1UP Chicken x3 Dagger Mace x3 Necklace Orb x2 Pistol x2 Enemies and threats ------------------- Collapsing Ceiling Fat Henchmen Fire Riflemen Scorpions Spears Spikes The Old Sage (B) Walkthrough ----------- At the very beginning you should see an elevator platform and a bit of the spike pit below. If you don't trust your jumping, you could try jump grappling to the right wall and try landing on the elevator platform from the rope. If you wish, you could also grab the Mace on the right. When you climb on the platform above the elevator, you will encounter a new enemy - Scorpions! They are pesky and can be hard to hit sometimes. There is another elevator to the right, jump or jump grapple to get on it. Ride it up and climb on the next platform, then jump on the next elevator. Grab the Necklace on the right if you wish. On the top, there is a Pistol to the left, try jump grappling so that the grapple hits the corner on the left, then grab the Pistol, switch to the Mace and throw one on the wall slightly below the corner to reveal a secret passage. Walk through and drop down to get a 1UP, then climb back up, proceed right and as always, watch out for Fire traps. On the right you will encounter another new enemy - Riflemen, much like Henchmen, but with rifles. The tight passageway does not give you any room to jump, but luckily, you can actually duck under the Riflemen's bullets. After reaching a wall, start climbing up while avoiding the Spears shooting from the walls. You should be able to duck under the first, the second one doesn't need ducking. The wall on the second left-side platform (fourth when counting both sides) is breakable, so whip out your Mace and smash the wall open to find some Chicken and a Mace. Resume climbing, but watch out for more Spears from the walls. You should reach outside again, climb up a couple of platforms and you should see an Orb, grab it, Orbs are needed in the future. Proceed right until you reach a drop, after dropping, jump from that platform's right edge and keep pressing Right and you should land on a horizontally moving platform. Jump right when the platform reaches its end, there is a Chicken leg and an Orb. Drop down and you will see a new enemy spawn on the left - the Fat Henchmen, like Henchmen, but they lob rocks at you. You should also see a passage to the right with some Fire traps, enter the passage and keep running right, because the ceiling will start to collapse behind you. If you get caught by the Collapsing Ceiling, it will push you through the ground to the bottom of the screen, killing you instantly. After running away from the Collapsing Ceiling, you will come across a wall, which means you have to climb again. Climb up a couple of platforms and you will see a small ledge on the left with a Dagger. Grapple there and get on the elevator. There will be a Pistol on the left, grab it if you so please, but watch out for the Spear launcher on the ceiling above the Pistol. After getting the Pistol, grapple to the right, either on the ground or the ceiling of the entrance and then proceed right. After dropping down a ledge, go left and grab the Mace, then walk left until you drop down enough to see a Chicken leg below the platform. Drop once more, jump left on the edge and grapple at the right time to reach the Chicken. Drop down and go right until you reach the boss door. The boss is waiting for you. ------------------------------------ Boss #2 - The Old Sage (BS2) ------------------------------------ Health: 20 Hits Needed: Dagger: 20 Bomb: 4 Pistol: 10 Bolas: 7 (6,66666667...) Orb: 20 Mace: 10 Score: 5,000 Difficulty: Easy Suggested Weapon: Bolas This boss can be a bit of a pain, as he can summon four lightning bolts that fly towards you. Fortunately, that is all he can do, excluding him flying at you. I suggest using the Bolas since they deal better damage than the Pistol and he tends to fly somewhere above you so you also have a better shot at him. You could also deal with the boss with some Orbs, but they will come in very handy later, so you should keep as many as you can. Either way, just jump over or duck under the bolts and attack when you can. When you beat him, you will advance to... --------------------------------- Stage 3 - The Creepy Ruins (ST3) --------------------------------- Items ----- 1UP Bolas x3 Chicken x2 Dagger Mace x2 Necklace Orb x2 Pistol x3 Enemies and threats ------------------- Bats Fat Henchmen Fire Hawks Riflemen Scropions Spears Spiders Undead Skull Statues (B) Walkthrough ----------- Right off the bat you will see a platform up to the right with a Dagger on it, grapple on one of the monster statues' foreheads, climb up and grapple again. Walk to the right edge of the platform and you should see an edge of another platform on the right. Jump grapple there and you will encounter a new enemy - Bats! They aren't an enormous threat, but they are still worth looking out for. Keep climbing the platforms until you reach the top, look out here for another new enemy - Hawks. They swoop down, diving right at you. If you are accurate with your shots, you could try with some Bolas, but a much safer method is to throw and detonate Bombs right where you are standing, this way you will have a small "barrier" of sorts when a Hawk dives at you. Orbs work too, but try not to waste too many. Go right until you drop on a small platform under the one you just were on. Here you have two choices, you can either drop down here and choose the underground passage, or skip the section and jump grapple on the skull statue to the right. If you chose the LOWER path: Drop down, you will encounter two more fresh enemies - Spiders and Undead! Spiders walk on ceilings and jump down at you when you walk under them, Undead walk around like Henchmen, only slower, the thing that makes Undead different is the fact that they will resurrect after a while (if you've played Castlevania, they're like the Red Skeletons). Grapple left (where the Spider spawn is) and grab the Mace there, drop down afterwards. Oh no, a dead end! Nope, throw your Mace on the ground right of the Rifleman spawn and it will reveal a hole. When you drop down, look out! The wall on the right will shoot Spears at you, which you luckily can duck under them. Exit on either side of the platform, but be careful, the left edge has a Spear trap shooting from the ceiling and the right edge has you drop next to a Fire trap, but you can avoid it by pressing left right after dropping from the platform. Now, drop down again and go to left until you find a Chicken leg. Grab it if you need the health, then proceed right. You'll soon find a way up coated with Fire breathing skull statues. Climb up while looking out for the Fire and remember to grab the Orb on the way. When you reach the top, walk left and grapple on the leftmost monster statue. Climb up and you should see an elevator to the left. Jump grapple to the left wall and drop on the elevator, then grapple on the right wall and try to time it so the grapple hits on the middle of the upper stone slab, throw a Mace between the slabs and it will reveal a passage. Advance until you find a Mace, a Pistol, Bolas and a Necklace. Return to the elevator. When the elevator is as high as possible, try jump grappling on the platform above you to grab the Chicken leg, this is where you would've landed had you taken the upper route. Remember to look out for the Hawks, they are really bothersome here. Now, grapple left to get the Orb, then jump back to the platform. Go to the right edge of the platform and jump grapple on the stone slab to the right. Climb up and walk right to find a 1UP, grab it and go back. Drop down from the place and you should land next to a passage to the right. If you chose the UPPER path: Jump grapple on the skull statue, grab the Orb, jump right, grab the Chicken and stand on the right edge. You should see a ledge to the right, jump grapple there, climb and walk right, grab the 1UP. Go back and drop down, you should land next to a passage to the right. The paths have now connected. Grapple to get inside, then go right a little. When you see a Pistol, DON'T jump instantly to grab it!! There is a Spear that shoots from the wall to the right! Instead, walk under it (the Spear can't hit you unless you jump) and time your jump to grab it and avoid getting hit by the Spear. Go right and you will see a way up. Start climbing the tower, ignore the opening on the right, there's nothing there. Jump/grapple on the elevator and grapple left. Climb up and hug the wall so the elevator doesn't push you off the platform. Jump/grapple on the elevator, ride it up (you could use an Orb to shoo away the Bats) and grapple right. Grapple on the next platform and then get on another elevator. Ride it up (Orbs work well here too) and grapple to the platform above you. Climb on the next platform and get on yet another elevator. Ride it (use Orbs again) and you should see Bolas and a platform above it on the right. Try grappling so that you can reach the Bolas and then climb up to the platform. Climb to the next platform and an identical situation occurs. Get on the elevator, ride it up (Orbs, again) and you should see a Pistol with a platform above it to the right. Grapple so that you can reach the Pistol and climb up the platform. You should see a small platform to the left, climb there and you should already see the boss door. Climb there and enter to meet the boss. ------------------------------------ Boss #3 - Skull Statues (BS3) ------------------------------------ Total Hits Needed (with 1-3 Gray Statues): Dagger: N/A Bomb: N/A Pistol: N/A Bolas: N/A Orb: N/A Mace: 80 Total Hits Needed (Gray Statues disabled): Dagger: 64 Bomb: 13 (12,8) Pistol: 32 Bolas: 22 (21,33333333...) The lasers shouldn't be able to hit you here unless you walk to the middle. Switch to your Bolas and throw them at the last remaining Gray Statue. Once the last statue is disabled, the Brown Statue will become weak, but it will still keep shooting lasers about every five seconds. These lasers seem to have better accuracy, so be careful. Go left and climb the small platform with the Snake spawn, then jump grapple to the platform above you. Grab the Necklace and ignore the Orb for now, go right. Cross the gap once you get to it. Climb to the platform above. If you need extra Daggers for some reason, you can collect the Dagger by jumping right from the platform. If you did get it, climb back up. Now, you should see many small platforms above you, grapple the rightmost one and climb up. Ready your Mace and destroy the wall on the right, you'll find a Mace and a Bomb. Return to the small platform. Grapple to the ledge next to you (above the wall you busted) and avoid the Fire trap. Proceed right and avoid two more Fire traps. You will see an elevator, look out, when you get close, the wall on the right will shoot Spears at you, duck under them to stay safe. Get on the elevator, ride it up, grab the Chicken on the right if you need to. Either grapple from the elevator or jump grapple from the small platform onto the platform to the left. Walk off the left edge of the platform and grab an Orb. Remember the Orb I told you to ignore before? Well, if you want it, I'll tell ya how to get it. You should now be standing on the platform where you grabbed the other Orb. Jump grapple to the platform on the left and climb on it, then drop down on the left side of the platform. Walk left a little and you should start seeing small platforms, proceed left until you reach the edge of a bigger platform. Jump left and keep pressing left as you fall. You should land directly on the Orb. Now, climb back to the platform after the elevator. Jump grapple to the left platform for a little shortcut. Climb on one of the platforms above you and proceed left. Once you're on a bigger platfrom, go to the edge and you should see an elevator. If you can't see it, try centering the camera by walking left and right a little. When you see it, get on it and ride it up. You will see a Chicken leg on the left side of the elevator, if you want to grab it, try grabbing it when the elevator is going down, makes it easier to land back on it. You might also see a horizontally moving platform on the right side, but getting on it here is very annoying. Instead, ride the elevator all the way up and grapple the platform on the right. Now start jumping on the small platforms and proceed right until you reach a wall. Drop down from the rightmost platform and you should land on one of the horizontally moving platforms. Jump on the platform right of the moving platform and then jump off the platform as far right as you can. After falling a little, be prepared to grapple a platform to the right, if you get on it, grab the 1UP on the platform, drop down and hold right. You should land on a similar platform with some Chicken on it, grab it and drop down. You will land on a raft and start going right. Look out for the Snakes in the water and the Boulders falling from the ceiling. You will eventually come across the last item in the stage, a Chicken leg. Grab it and survive until the you reach the waterfall. If you go as far up as possible when on the raft and hold left when the auto-scrolling is pushing you, you are supposed to drop down, but holding left will make the character land on the platform and you can walk back a little. Suddenly you'll be on a raft again. After you've had your fun, drop down properly and proceed right and you will find the boss door. Ready your Bolas and enter it. ------------------------------------ Boss #4 - Giant Spider (BS4) ------------------------------------ Health: 32 Hits Needed: Dagger: 32 Bomb: 7 (6,4) Pistol: 16 Bolas: 11 (10,66666667...) Orb: 32 Mace: 16 Score: 5,000 Difficulty: Easy Suggested Weapon: Bolas This boss is really simple, it just jumps around spitting webs at you. The best tactic is to stand close to it as the webs it spits do not hurt you when you're right next to it as it spits them. So throw your Bolas at it while trying to stay close and the boss should be dealt with quickly. After beating the Giant Spider, you will find yourself in... --------------------------------- Stage 5 - The Mine Shaft (ST5) --------------------------------- Items ----- 1UP x2 Chicken x2 Bolas Mace x2 Necklace x5 Orb x2 Pistol Enemies and threats ------------------- Fire Henchmen Riflemen Scorpions Spears Spikes The Spitter Plant (B) Walkthrough ----------- This place has quite a few routes, but only one that reaches to the boss. In any case, from the start, you see a Necklace. Grabbing it is quite a pain, you can either jump grapple from the platform you start on so that the grapple hits the wall on the right side of the Necklace. Another way is to get on the curved part of the rail below the Necklace. Throw your grapple right and jump left before the grapple hits the wall, you should just barely reach it this way. After getting it, go left, look out for the numerous Rifleman spawns and Fire traps. When you reach a curved rail, jump over it and drop down, drop down again and grab the Necklace if you need it. Drop down until you reach the bottom, go right and grab the 1UP. Then climb back up to the point where you started the stage at. Go right from there until you can drop down, drop and continue right. When the rail ends you should see a Necklace. Jump right from the edge of the rail, if you land on the platform under the rail, the wall on the left will shoot Spears at you. The platform you're on should be a gray rocky one, to the right of that is a wall with another Spear shooter, so be careful. Grab the Necklace if needed and drop down, watch out for another Spear shooter there, too. Drop down again and you'll land on a rail, drop again and ignore the Spear shooter on the right, it can't reach you. Drop down and get on the rail, if you fall into the small gap, grapple (on the gray rocks) out of there and get on the rail. Proceed left, but look out for a Fire trap and a Spear shooter right after the second Rifleman spawn. Remember to duck under the bullets of the Riflemen. A little further after the third Rifleman spawn will have another Spear shooter, so watch your step. You'll see a curved rail, jump over it and drop down. You will see some Chicken on the left, grapple on the left wall to get it. Go left and drop down, watch out for another Fire trap on the edge of the rail. When you are below the rail, there will be another Fire trap right under the earlier one. Drop down all the way and go right until you see a mine cart. Grapple on the curved rail and get on the mine cart. The mine cart will move on its own, there will be some Riflemen coming at you from a spawn in front of you, but ducking in the minecart makes you pass through them unscathed. You will pass a platform and a Necklace, you can grab the Necklace if you wish, but leave the platform alone. The mine cart will drop down on a lower rail and it will sometimes glitch in a way that makes you pass through the mine cart, bump into it, damage you and make the cart change directions. This doesn't happen every time, but when it does, you have to go and get on a new mine cart. If the fall is successful, the mine cart will head towards a wall, duck down and it will break the wall, revealing a passageway. If you aren't on top of the cart, the wall will not break. After going through the wall, a drop will soon follow. The next part of the stage walkthrough is not necessary, but can get you extra goodies. Jump off the cart (to the left so that you won't drop), grab the Orb and center the camera. Go to the edge of the rail and you should see a gray rock platform on the right, jump grapple there and jump grapple to get the 1UP. Drop down on the right side and walk right, you will see two gray rock platforms, climb on either one and then climb on the rail above, climb on the platform above that, you should see a Mace, grab it. Climb on the rail above and climb the gray rock platforms. You will see some Chicken, grab it if you need healing. Go left until you're in a dead end. Climb on the gray rock platform in the wall and throw a couple of Maces at the wall, you will get some Bolas, a Mace and a Necklace. Walk back and drop down from the gray rock platform, walk right until you see a rail and above it two spawns, a Henchman spawn on the left and a Rifleman spawn on the right. On the left side of the left (Henchman) spawn is breakable floor, throw a Mace to break it and drop down. Walk left while ducking the Riflemen's bullets and looking out for the numerous Fire traps. When you reach the curved rail, jump over it and drop down. Jump grapple to get the Orb you see on the left. You are now standing on the gray rock platform I told you to ignore before. Drop down, go left and jump on the mine cart again and ride it through the wall. This time, stay on the cart, wait till it drops and ride it until another wall is on the way. Ride the cart through that wall and then jump off the cart. Get on the gray rock platform and you should soon see the boss door. There is a Pistol on the other side, if you want it, go to the edge of the rail under the platform and grapple the other side of the platform. Then grapple carefully and grab the Pistol. Enter the boss door and you'll be fighting against... ------------------------------------ Boss #5 - The Spitter Plant (BS5) ------------------------------------ Health: 36 Hits Needed: Dagger: 36 Bomb: 8 (7,2) Pistol: 18 Bolas: 12 Orb: 36 Mace: 18 Score: 5,000 Difficulty: Easy Suggested Weapon: Bolas This boss isn't too tough, though you might get hit some times due to the amount of rocks it spits. With the Bolas, you can quite easily reach the boss anywhere. You can also take a safer approach and get as far as possible and try attacking the boss whenever possible. Once you have disposed of the boss and switched the disk to side A, you will finally reach... --------------------------------- Stage 6 - The Cursed Temple (ST6) --------------------------------- Items ----- 1UP x2 Chicken x3 Necklace x5 Orb x4 Arumana (B) Enemies and threats ------------------- Fat Henchmen Fire Henchmen Riflemen Scorpions Undead The Possessed Statue (B) Walkthrough ----------- The final stage, hurry! Retrieve the Arumana! You start from a dead end, climb up the two platforms, go right and drop, then continue right. You will eventually find a Necklace, grab that, then go back and climb the platform you saw before, then go to the right edge and climb the platform above and a little to the left of you. Climb two more platforms and go left to grab an Orb, then go right and grapple the platform on the right. Ignore the elevator (it's completely useless) and grapple the platform above you. Go right, drop down and proceed right until you find some Chicken, avoid the fire breathing skull statues. Grab the Chicken and climb the platform as well as the one above it (if you wish to go back to the beginning, the wall on the left is breakable). Get on the elevator on the right, ride it up and grapple the platform above. Climb the platform above you and go left, walk left and climb up the platforms. Go right and you will see a big gap. If you want a Necklace, drop down and stay on the left side. Climb back up to where you dropped from. Grapple to the right side of the gap's roof and climb on the other side. Go right a little and drop down while looking out for the Fire traps. When you fall, there is a Chicken leg on the left side, then there is an Orb on the right side after the Chicken. After dropping down, proceed right, climb the two platforms. Don't go right, it's just a dead end. Grapple the platform above you, then climb the platform above you from the left side. Climb three more platforms, go right, climb on the next platform and then on the one above it. Looks like a dead end? Break the wall on the left with a Mace and grapple the platform there. Climb up the platforms and go right, you will notice another gap. If you need a Necklace, drop on the left side and then climb back up to this point. If not, proceed. Grapple to the right side of the gap's roof and climb to the other side. Go right, but be careful, there's a Spear shooter on the wall to the right. Duck under the Spear, drop down and instantly duck under another Spear (from the right wall). Walk left, drop and immediately duck under yet another Spear (from the left wall). Go right and drop down two floors, get on the platform under the elevator and walk left, there is a 1UP. Walk back right and drop down a couple of floors. Go right, go under the platform, there is a Spear shooter in the ceiling but you should be able to run under it. Keep running and you'll pass another Spear shooter in the ceiling. Proceed right until you see a Necklace, get it and get on the platform to the left. Get on the elevator next to the platform and ride it up, grapple on the left side of the platform above you. Climb up four platforms, a passage to the left should be visible. If you want extra goodies, climb up the other two platforms and go right (you might notice that the Fat Henchman spawn is actually misaligned) and you will see a gap. Cross the gap with your grapple to get a 1UP, then drop down on the right side to get an Orb, then jump left to drop on a Necklace. Climb back to the place where the left passage was. Walk left and grab the Chicken leg under the platform, climb back up and grapple the platform on the left, above you. Walk left, climb up twice and then climb up the on platform above you. Walk right and jump on the next platform, walk to the right edge of the platform and jump grapple to the small block on the right side above you. I recommend you get the Orb to the right, jump grapple right and get them. Jump grapple back to the small block. Now this can be tricky, throw the grapple and just before it disappears, jump so that it will hit the platform to the far upper right corner. Climb up and walk left, you should now see the final boss door. Ready your Orb enter the door. ------------------------------------ Boss #6 - The Possessed Statue (BS6) ------------------------------------ Total Health: 64 Hits Needed: Dagger: 64 Bomb: 13 (12,8) Pistol: 32 Bolas: 22 (21,33333333...) This boss is very, VERY hard without the Orb, so I hope you gathered a lotta them. If you have enough Orbs (32 at the very least) you can just mash on the B button and stand in one of the corners. If you don't have a sufficient amount of Orbs, just use up all you have and switch to the Bolas and throw them at the eyes. You could also try being courageous by grappling to the skulls above the eyes and throw as many Maces as it takes to destroy 'em. When you defeat the statue, the Arumana will drop to the ground. Collect it and you will clear the game. Congratulations! You did it! You recovered the Arumana and restored peace to the village! All there is left is to watch the ending. You can continue from the beginning if you wish. =============================================================================== 9.
