I am often surprised by games that I select on a whim, and none so much in recent history have surprised me as much as Koneko Monogatari. I thought it might be fun to FAQ when I saw the cute boxart and colourful screen shots. It turns out it's a pretty good game, so I start writing this guide and decide to do some research on the series. Kitten's Story: the Adventures of Chatran turned out to be the original title for one of my favourite childhood movies, The Adventures of Milo and Otis? Excuse me while I clean my trousers. So this game stars Milo? The loveable layabout of a cat from that same movie with the bear at the river, the happy fox in the field, the adorable birthing scenes of cat and dog alike? Well, I'll be. The game itself is inoffensive. It's not too tough and the gameplay's kind of strange... So the game takes place over a year - twelve months with a day and night stage each, or twenty four stages in total. It's a great big world that's all set up for a curious cat and a pug-nosed pup. There's friends to meet, and places to be. It's all so new and fun to see. So let's get started already! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= | KM2: Gameplay | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= B: Drop Egg A: Jump Control Pad Left/Right: Move Milo Control Pad Down: Crouch Koneko takes place over 24 levels. Essentially, it take splace over the year Milo and Otis were away fromt heir home on the farm. There are all 12 months to play through, with a night and day stage during each. This is where the 24 levels comes from. Each stage is fairly short. You must move Milo from one end of the stage to the other. Enter the exit at the end of the stage to tally your points, and walk into the next scene. Milo will be killed on contact with any enemy. Instead, he has to collect eggs to drop on top of enemies. At least for the first of the game, these can be in limited supply, so it's often best to stockpile eggs for when you really need them. You can get eggs and other items out of trees. If you jump into the bottom of a tre branch, you will bop it. This sends its contents flying up. These contents might also (and almost certainly also in later stages) be an enemy. If you jump on top of a branch, Milo will stomp it, sending either snowballs or fruit downwards, depending on the month. The fruit can be collected, the snowballs can't be. But both can kill enemies beneath the branch. Milo must reach each scene's exit before the time runs out. *Making difficult jumps: There are many difficult jumps in this game. The obvious way to clear some of them is to get on top of a tree or something for added height. This is not always possible and some pits seem just long enough that Milo just misses the edge. |\ /| (^_^)// Notice that Milo can stand out a bit off the egde without a (_-_)/ drop to his death. If you jump from here, it's often just far ------+ enough to make the longer jump. | Practice on a tree over land first so you know what I'm talking about. That way when you have to do it, you have it down. Most importantly, practice this while moving, as you often don't have time to just sit there waiting for your time to jump, you may have to seize the opportunity. *Knocking an item straight up, rather than to the side: If you are having trouble getting eggs and milks and such to not break and not fly out of reach, then you may have to knock it straight up - on a vertical line. This is easy to do. |\ /| (^_^)// (_-_)/ Stop briefly and Milo will face the camera, like this. If you jump form here, Milo has no assumed directional vector. So the item will just fly straight up. This will save more than one milk for you, but sometimes for unreachable items you have to make them fly off to the side. So use some discretion. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= | KM3: Items | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= There are a number of items in the game. Some items break when they hit the ground. THis destroys them, but you _can_ _still_ use_ the destroyed item as normal until it vanishes! So if your milk lands on the ground, touch it before it disappears. You have to be quick though. *Fruit: Collect apples or cherries for points. 50 fruit is worth a Free Milo. Stomp tree branches to shake them loose. They will crush enemies and when they turn green they will soon vanish. *Snowball: Can be dropped from tree branches the same way as fruit, but you can not collect them. They are attacking use only. *Pony Canyon Icon: The game co's icon is worth a Free Milo. Rare item. Bop them out from some trees. *Egg: Milo's ammo. Bop them out of trees. If they fly out and hit the ground they will break. They will rest on branches though. *Red Egg: Just like egg, it will break on the ground. This doesn't seem to have any utility besides being worth more points? Doesn't give an egg stock. *Letter Egg: "Here comes the dog, strong and brave! WOOF!" Spell out H-E-L-P to summon Otis. Otis drops from the upper left portion of the screen and runs right, jumping at cliffs until the end of the level or until he falls into a pit. Otis kills all enemies he touches, and will also injure Milo. I guess he's justa rough and tumble puppy. Use it wisely. You don't want to kill Milo with this, and you don't want to just drop Otis into the brink. The letter is always the next one in H-E-L-P. The egg, just like normal eggs, will break on the ground and rest on branches. *Bottle of Milk: The milk grants >>very<< temporary invincibility. Milo will flash for a short time. Use this time to plough right through enemies at difficult junctures. Milk will break ont he ground and rest on the tree branches. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= | KM4: Walkthrough | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Flip the disk to side B and hit start. Let's get ready to play. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.1: June ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---Day--- Scene 01 Time: 350 This is our first level, but things are rough from Milo right from the getgo. Please remember - be fast, check trees, and avoid enemies. Start to the right and jump over any of the rats that you come across. Leap into the tree and hit the upper right branch for an egg. You may have to jump out of the tree and catch it before it cracks. Stomp a few branches for some apples. Skip the next singular tree because it holds a beetle. For the rats to the right, stay close to them. The single, half-screen tree holds beetles, so go to the next singular tree and jump onto its branches. This should drop some apples on at least one of the rats, killing it. For the big tree right next to them, bash the upper left branch to release a red egg and grab it. One of the lower branches holds an egg, and the upper right holds a beetle. So jump on top of the upper right btanch, then across the gap to your right. Jump onto the branches of the first tree after the pit to drop apples on some rats. Great. Now check the uppe rleft branch for an egg. You can kill two rats with apples from the next small, singular tree. Take the apples and move on. The tree before the bee and the pit has a lot of apples. Take them and jump across the gap. Try to land on the next tree over. You cn get four apples here if you're quick enough to get them before they rot. Moving on. There are two trees right next to each other before the next gap and bee. Hit the branches of the lower tree toward the right side to get an egg, then climb to the middle right branch of the bigger tree. Jump right when the bee is down and don't worry about landing on the next tree. Just worry about living. Passing that taller single branch tree, pass a few rats to the right until you arrive at a larger, multi-branched tree. Hit the bottom branch to reveal an egg which hits the next branch revealing a Letter Egg which hits the next branch revealing a beetle. A chain reaction. Grab the two eggs. Now, hit the upper right branch for a bottle of milk - temporary invincibility. As Ultra Milo, run right to the single tree right before the cliff, and hit it for another Letter Egg. Get this egg, ward off any beetles with your buff kitten invincibility, and run right over the next cliff before the milk wears off and you're vulnerable again. There's a large tree to the right, without a top (seemingly). There is a landing bird here. Well, what I mean is there is this bird which flies down toward the ground ata diagonal, coasting across branches before going down again. Jump over this bird, then hit the upper left branch of the tall tree for another Letter Egg. Grab it and move on before another bird arrives. There are beetles and apples in the next multi-branches tree to the right. So get some apples if you want. But more urgently, jump over any rats coming down from the cliff to the right and up onto the cliff. Head right. As you walk acorss this plateau, hit the branches of the trees and you should get an egg. Leap over the bee when it flies down, and continue right. There are at least three eggs in the multi branch tree to the right. Knock them out of the righthand branches, unless you hit the sides of the branches distinctly, right and left, then the eggs in the upper right may come out in two directions, meaning you can only catch one. Get the upper right's left egg first, then the lower right's egg which could chain into the upper right's right egg. Phew, either way this is the best way to save them all. To the right there is a small, single branch tree. Stomp it for some apples, then enter the cave to the right to finish the scene. ---Night--- Scene 02 Time: 350 The night really doesn't change gameplay all that drastically. Let's start to the right as per usual. Run right and don't stop if you see the ground move. This is a mole, which will jump out of the ground. You may want to make a short jump at these points to avoid becoming mole chow. Either way, you should come to a tree with two branches stacked on top of each other. Stomp the bottom branch and take its apples. for the top branch? Hit it directly in the middle to release its eggs, and to NOT release its beetles. Get the egg, then jump the gap to the right OR bop the lower right side of the lower branch for a Letter Egg. If it's P though, forget it. You don't want Otis to land in a pit, do you? Keep heading right to a cliff. A chick drops to the trees above. It will walk across the branches, easy to avoid since the branches above form a barrier between you and the chick :). The tall tree near this cliff holds a Letter Egg in its upper right section of the branch. Make sure the enarby mole isn't there to block of the egg and Otis will be able to destroy enemies up until the next gap. So, follow him closely (not too closely as he will kill you too) or skip the help and continue as normal. The trees before the bridge have nothing but apples. The chick above the trees may go right, that's not good. When the fish over the water is far above the bridge, pass the bridge making small leaps over any enemies there with you. As you come to the drop off, hit the left side of the tree for an egg, then pass to the right above the tree to avoid moles. You will come to a multi-limbed tree presently. The top left has an egg, and that's the only thing besides apples in this tree. Take the egg, and jump the pit to the right. When you land, you should be beneath a two-tiered tree. Let the chick walk off. Hit the bottom branches for a bottle of milk, take it and run as far to the right as you can before the invincibility wears off. When it does, you should be close to a multi-branched tree. There are eggs in the upper left and mid left branches. Take them and keep right. Just pass the two-limbed short tree to the right. If there is a bat in line with you, just jump over it. The three-limbed tree to the right doesn't have much except apples or beetles either. So climb to the upper right branch of it and take a flying leap across the gap to the right. There are two multi-limbed trees here. There are mostly beetles in their branches, but the upper limbs toward the middle of the complex hide a Letter Egg and a normal egg. get them. It would be great if this summoned Otis, because it's now just a straight run to the end of the Scene. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.2: July ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---Day--- Scene 03 Time: 350 Now we're at July. It's much the same scenery, except much more focused on river travel. Climb the stairs-like area to the right, jumping over the rats and bopping the first tree you see for an egg. Eventually, you will come to a bridge. Pass the bridge by pasisng under the fish as they jump up. The ducks should be no problem, just pass under them or duck beneath them unless theya re in line with you. In that case, you jump. After the log bridge, there's a couple of steps. You may want to let the rats come to you in this case. When the coast is clear, climb up and right. Drop down into the box beyond the cliff. Seems quite a bit more like Milo and Otis now, yes? In the box, be careful when you jump so as you land back in the box and not in the water. Either way, let's head right. Pass under the fish when it is up in the air. There will be two clouds in the sky - their raindrops kill Milo. So when a drop hits the water, head right and you should avoid the next drop before it can reach you. There's a couple of more fish before the end, but the bigger issue might be the two ducks. Jumping over these two ducks is dangerous so it may be best to duck down into the box and let them pass over. Jump to the outstretched log when you see it. The multi-limbed tree after the river has a few eggs in its top branches. Get them quickly, before the landing bird flies down. Jump onto the small tree to the right and leap across the gap to the right when the fish is down. Jump into the next river box. Pass under the fish when it is up in the air, and keep to the right. Stop when you see the second duck over this river and wait for the next fish to jump up. Pass under him and head right, to the clouds. Again, when a drop hits the surface of the water, head past the cloud. Pass udner the next fish and stop when you see the edge of the next cloud. Let the next fish jump up, pass under him and pass the cloud when its drop hits the surface of the water. Stop here. Let the frog jump into the water and the fish jump up. Make a small jump onto shore. dodge the frog to the right, then hit the tree's branches for a normal egg and a red egg. Snag them and head right. This next jump is difficult. Wait for the fish to go really high, then move toward the water so the front half of Milo is out over the edge and jump to the right. Timed correctly, you should easily leap the gap. Head right to a bridge. Hit the bottom limbs for an egg, then drop some apples down. Collect them and head onto the bridge. Jump over the frog, then move past the fish as they approach the top or bottom of the screen. The singular tree to the right is only good for apples. So collect them, then head right into the exit. ---Night--- Scene 04 Time: 350 The could be hard to see on the dark backdrop, against the plants - but frogs prominen there. Head right and jump over the first frog you notice. You soon coem to a big tree next to a box in a river. The tree is largely full of beetles except for the egg in the top left limb. Take this egg, then jump into the box. Pass under fish and bats as you head right. The lowest flying bat you will need to duck under. The fish, pass one and then let the enxt one jump up before you continue right. You'll coem to some more clouds as you head right. As always, pass them as the drop hits the surface of the water. At least against the black background, they are easier to see. There are five clouds, a fish between 3 and 4. Stop just after the fifth cloud because there's a fish here, and a frog nearby. Let the frog jump into the river, then make a short jump on shore as the fish approaches the top. The trees you approach will not be too fruitful. Just jump into the next box. This one's very short. Move your box past the first fish, stop at the cloud. When the drop hits the surface of the water, pass the cloud. When the next fish is up in the air, jump up beneath him onto the cliff. Jump again to avoid the bat, get the apples form the short tree. And wouldn't you know it? There's a nother box to the right. Jump on in. Pass the fish and bats as you ehad right. When you see the shore, let the frog jump into the river. There will be a fish right next to the shore. Make a small jump to dry land when he's up in the air. You can get a lot of apples from the trees to the right, so get some if you so desire, but watch otu for the chicks dropping to the upper right limb of the big tree. when you're ready, jump into the next box. Pass the fish to the right, and let the fish nearest the cliff on the right jump up. There's also a bat here. When the bat flies back to the right, AND the fish is in the air, jump up onto the cliff. I would suggets egging the bat ASAP and replacing it with the egg from the tree above. Jump down and to the right as the next fish heads down and the _bat_ _down_ _there_ goes right. Alright, another big tree here. It holds a few eggs, so get a few then jump into the next box on the right. Pass thw fish when they jump up, then stop to see the location of the next fish along the way. Pass the two clouds by moving forward just as their drops hit the surface of the water. Alright, stop right after the clouds. As per usual, let the frog jump into the water, then jump to shore when the fish is high in the air. Get the egg and Letter Egg from the upper branches of the next big multi-limbed tree. Start jumping up that stair-like hill. Jump down to the wide tree and get its apples. Great, now head right into the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.3: August ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I guess August takes place on mountains/cliffs. There's a lot of difficult jumps here. ---Day--- Scene 05 Time: 350 Head right and wait for the mole to jump out of the ground. Before the next one can emerge,leap over the first then jump across the hole. The upper left limb has an egg, so pick it up then head on top of the lower right limb. Jump right across the gap. Jump on top fo the single limb tree, then right to the next multi-limbed tree. Bop the egg out of the upper left limb, take it then drop to the lower right limb before the landing bird arrives at the upper right. Drop down to the small tree next to the cliff. Climb to the top of the cliff, then jump right when the bee heads down. Hit the upper left limb of this tree and take the egg it releases. Jump right from the upper right limb and pass the two gaps in one jump. Get the eggs from the lower left and upper right limbs of this tree - watch out for the landing bird, beetles from chain reactions, and the moles down below. When the bee heads down, jump across to the right. Jump onto the outstretched limb and stay above the trees as you head right. You will come to a section with many gaps. Just jump from column to column. For any bees, wait for them to be at the low point of their path, of course. The tree after the first bee has an egg in its top limb. The tree just after that one has its egg in the lower branch. After taking the egg, jump up to its high top limb and then right to the platform. The bee had better be very low for this jump... when the bee is low (nearly beneath the surface line of the land to the lower right) put the front of Milo out over nothingness and make a jump down and right. You should land on the small cliff down here. Take the egg from this isolated tree. Jump the same way when the bee to the right is down. Half of Milo MUST be over the pit before you jump. Climb the tree to the right and jump right when the bee heads down. The next pit you must have Milo half over empty space before he can make the jump. There are two trees here, but let's consider them one. Take the eggs from the lower left and upper right branches. The landing bird appears at the upper left so it is normally a non issue. To cross the next jump to the right, wait for the bee to be near the top of her path then jump right. Yes, Milo should be half over empty space before attempting this jump. Pass the tree, and jump right (yes, Milo should be partially out over the edge) when the bee is down. The tree after gap has an egg. You may want to drop an apple from the tree on the mole first though. Keep heading right, the exit's just ahead. ---Night--- Scene 06 Time: 350 Run right and jump over the spot where the moles are digging. Proceed right and jump up onto the cliff with the tree. Jump onto the tree, then jump right to clear the gap and miss the bat. You'll be beside two trees. Get the egg out of the second tree, then drop down to the right when the bat is flying right. Jump over him as he flies left, then jump up to the high cliff on the right. There's a two-limbed tree up here. Hit the top limb and the left of the bottom limb for eggs. Kill a mole then jump right when thge bee is down. Go a little over the next edge when the bee is down. That tree doesn't have any eggs, but get on top of it. Stand on the irght end of it so that when Milo looks at the camera, he is "floating in midair." Jump to the right and you should clear it. This could take a bit of time to set up so kill the bat first. Alright, we're on a very high cliff with one small tree. Jump right to outstretched limb on the next, big tree. It's righthand limbs each hold an egg. Take them if you want, then head right. When the bee is high up, jump over the pit and onto the cliff. The next two trees just have beetles. Just climb on top of the trees and jump over to that thin rock column. From there, leap right to the tree, then leap again over the next gap when the bee is toward the low point of its flight. Drop down through the branches of the next tree then wait for the mole to emerge. Kill it, and start jumping up the columns to the right when the bat is not overhead. You will have to get close to the edge to make the highest jump. Duck beneath the bat then head right and you will see a very high cliff - it will be close to the top of the screen. It looks really high, but if you jump near the edge of the pit and Milo will reach the top at the arc of his jump. Keep going right and there will be a short tree. Bop it for an egg, then take all of its apples. The large five-limed tree here has an egg in its left middle limb, and a Letter Egg in the upper left limb. Grab them, but watch out for beetles and the chicks that drop form the upper right of the screen. Wait it out before making your next move. Jump up to the column to the right of this tree, then jump right onto the lower left bough of the next tree to the right when the bee is at the low point of its flight. get the egg out of the upper roght limb, then jump down to that low rock column to the right when the bat is not above it. Kill the bat, then jump right. Alright, there's a high cliff here. Jump near the edge and Milo should clear the gap at the arc of his jump. The two trees to the right? Dodge the moles then take the apples from the cliff at the right. Run to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.4: September ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Different palette and bullrushes. Seems like a marsh. ---Day--- Scene 07 Time: 350 Run right until you see water. That tree, there's a squirrel in it. these are essentially the same as the beetles. So avoid it, and leap over the water to the right when the fish is up. You will approach a bridge. WAIT. Is that a Koopa? Anyways, these turtles walk constantly and turn to face Milo. So if you jump past one, make sure to put some considerable distance in so he doesn't just turn around and get you. No problem here though, bop the right of the tree and grab the milk bottle. While invincible, run across the bridge and jump over the gap. The tree you land next to has a Letter Egg in the upper left limb. Heading right, we get to a bridge. There's a turtle here. Let him walk against the right and wait for the fish to jump down. As the fish drops beneath the bridge, jump over the turtle. When the next fish on the right jumps up, jump to the ledge after the bridge as the fish is nearing the high point. This large tree has squirrels and eggs. At the top, there is a Letter Egg (top right) and milk bottle (top left). Take the milk and make your way up and over to the right. You will pass two logs that come in toward one another. Get past with your invincibility. If you can't, well the fish can be passed when he's high in the air anyways. You will approach a thre elimbed tree. All of the limbs hold eggs, except the upper left which is a Letter Egg. Collect them all and jump down to the box in the river. Pass the fish while they're high in the air and pass the clouds when the rain dop hits the water's surface. Stop after each cloud and wait for the next fish to jump up before you continue. Jump to the shore. The five limbed tree to the right has an egg in the lower left. It will chain react and let loose a squirrel from the next limb up. dodge the little critter and grab the egg. Bop the upper left limb for a Letter Egg. FOr the tree right next to it, the two top limbs each have an egg. When you're stocked up, go to the bridge to the right. The turtle will be walking against the wall. When the fish drops beneath the bridge, jump past the turtle. Run right and move under the fish when they're going up, above them when they're going down. Jump to the next cliff. Stop at the edge of the cliff above water and wait for the fish to jump. Jump down to the log beneath it, then under the tree before it comes back down. Move to the edge of the log on the right and wait for the turtle across the gap to walk into the water. The fish will jump up, and you will jump across the gap under him. The next tree, kill the turtle then get the egg form the lower right branch. Jump across the next gap when the fish is really high up. To the right there are two large, multi-limbed trees. There is an egg and a Letter Egg in the second tree. There's a bear to the right. Jump over to the top of the exit, passing over the bear. You will want to climb the tree for the first pass. When you jump over the bear, drop an egg on his head. Keep hitting the bear in the head until he is completely underground. ---Night--- Scene 08 Time: 350 Climb the hill to the right. Pass the turtle and knock the apples out of the wide tree. Hit it from below and get the Letter Eggm then continue along. Passing the bridge to the right, go under the fish when it jumps up. Sit between the middle of the tree limbs until the squirrel moves away and the fish is out of the way. Make a break for the next cliff over. Knock the turtle out with some apples form the tree. Lure the turtle on the bridge closer to you then jump over it. Let the fish drop below the bridge and jump to the next cliff. Standing on the edge of the next cliff, let the turtle walk into the cliff. Drop down to the right of it and start climbing the logs to the right. Bop the tree you come to release an egg. Take it, then climb on the trees and jump right to avoid the turtle. Afterwards, there's a low tree then a wide tree. There's an egg in the left side of the wide tree. There's a large multi-limbed tree to the right. Kill the turtle by stomping apple sonto him then hit the limbs from bottom to top and collect all the eggs you find. There's a milk bottle in the top left limb. Grab the milk, then jump to the tall thin tree to the right. Hit all of the tree limbs before the log bridge, there's a few eggs here. Drop onto the bridge as the fish drops below it. Walk forward while hitting the limbs you see. There's a lot of eggs along the bridge and also squirrels and fish. So reveal the eggs, dodge the squirrels, and collect them. There's a red egg toward the end of the bridge. Move toward the four-limbed tree. There's a milk on the right side of the upper right limb of the tree. Make Milo face the camera then jump up so it doesn't fly into the water. Jump form this top limb to the right over the gap. There's a coupel of eggs in these trees, though you may want to jump from the cliff to the lower bridge on the right while you are still invincible. If not, then jump as the fish is heading down. the next two level tree is much the same. On the right side of the top branch, there is a milk. Make Milo face the camera and jump and it should fly straight up. Take the milk and jump right. The next bridge you coem to has trees over it. Stick to the top of the trees to avoid the turtle. Drop down and bop the last tree, however, it has a Letter Egg within. There is another bear to the right. Jump on top of his head when his fist has already swung, then jump onb top of the exit. On top fo the exit, jump out above the bear, drop an egg, and swerve back in toward the top of the exit. When the bear is completely underground, exit the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.5: October ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October is like September, with the marsh palette. ---Day--- Scene 09 Time: 350 There are many trees to the right. Jump on the first short tree, and wait for the squirrel at the upper right to fall down. Jump up to the lower left branch of the next tree, and bop the upper left for an egg. Now, we just move between trees. Try to move at their tops and work your way down, so as we don't get blocked form above and fall in a hole. Anyways, from that tree in the first paragraph there: -Move to the next tree. The upper left and lower right hold eggs. -Move to the next tree. The upper left has an egg. This next tree is above a bottomles spit. Slam the top right limb until a Pony Canyon icon raises up. I find it comes more when I slam it jumping left? At any rate, this is worth 5000 points and grants an extra life, a free Milo. To reach the next tree above the bottomless pit, go to the upper right limb and make it so it looks like Milo i sitting in midair. Jump right from here and you should land on the next tree's lefthand middle limb. There's eggs in the upper left and upper right branches. grab them, then climb to the upper right limb. As before, put Milo out a little over the edge and jump right. There are eggs in the top limbs of this next tree, and a Letter Egg in the lower left limb. To get the Letter Egg, let the rabbit underneath the tree jump into the hole, then go down and see to getting that egg free. Move forward. There's a Rabbit on the cliff. Let it jump down, then jump over it and keep going to the right. At the top of this stairlike hill, get the egg from the tree. Jump on top of the tree, then jump right across the gap to the right. Keep running forward and jump right off the big cliff. You will easily reach the tree at the lower right. In the lower left limb there is a milk bottle. Make Milo face the camera before you jump and search for it. Take the milk. Jump to the top of the tree, then jump right along the top of the enxt tree, and stop on the second one after that. Get the Letter Egg from the upper right branch UNLESS it is the P. We don't want to waste Otis up here in the trees! Jump right to the next tree. there is an egg in the upper right and lower left limbs. Now jump right to that tree in the bottomless pit. On this perilous treem drop down and bop the red egg out of the middle left tree limb. Take it, then bop the upper left for an egg (left) and milk (right). You will want Milo to face the camera before jumping so neither flies into the abyss. Take the milk. There's two eggs in the next tree, but if you're invincible just pass on over and kill the bunny by running into it. Otherwise, lure the bunny into the pit then jumpover. Head right and jump over the next bunny. Okay, we're at another gap with trees. There's just squirrels in the next multi-limb tree... but you must get onto it by jumping first onto the single limb tree before it and then right on top of the multi. Just keep going to the three-limbed-tree to the right of the current five limb. There's eggs in both top limbs, so get them then jump form the top to the mid section of the next five limber. This limb has an egg, but otherwise the tree is just an odious colelction of squirrels. There's a tree above a bottomless pit to the right. get the eggs from the top limbs, then jump right to the equally perilous three-limbed tree. You will want to kill the duck here, then get the Letter Egg from the upper left limb. That is __unless__ it;s the last letter. We don't want Otis where he will be of no use at all. Jump right to the two-limbed tree, then right again to the small piece of land. We now wait for that rabbit to our right to make its way closer. Jump right when it jumps into the pit. Pass the rabbit to the right and... there's that bear again. If you've saved your HEL for the P that's here, Otis will make short work of the bear. Otherwise, use the tree in front of it to jump out, drop an egg, and pull back in. Keep it up until it's gone. ---Night--- Scene 10 Time: 350 Start to the right and jump onto the tree. Jump to the two tiered tree on the right. There's an egg in the top limb and Chicks will start to come out of the limbs as well. Of course, this is no big difference from their normal appearance nor from Beetles/Squirrels. Kill the bat flying back and forth.Jump right to the wide tree. Get all of the apples from this tree. Take the egg near the left of it then start back right. Jump the first gap and the second. You will be near a two-tiered tree. There is an egg in the top limb, but beyond that just keep going right. Kill the bat here, then get the Letter Egg from the bottom limb, and normal egg at the top. Wait for a squirrel to appear at the upper right, then jump to the top of this cliff when he drops off. Jump to the top of the really tall tree. Use its apples to kill the bat below, then jump right two trees to the two tiered tree. Drop apples on the bat below, then get below the tree and hit its bottom from the righthand side to unleash the milk. Jump and grab the milk. Just run right now until you see two trees, one two tiered and the other with its top at the lower tier of the first. there will be a rabbit nearby. I fyou;ve been taking the high road you can get another milk at the top branches. Either way, to the right. If you're not way up high, you will have to get close to the edge to make the jump. From here, head right and kill the rabbit because it can and will bop enemies out of the trees after you. Otherwise, check all of the branches for eggs and apples. When you get to the gap, climb onto the tree just before it and jump across. Head right. Let the bat pass overhead and the turtle at the other side of the hole plummet to his doom. Get a bit over the edge with your sprite then leap across at the very edge. There's a two-tiered tree ahead. Bop the bottom limb for an eggand the top until you find the Letter Egg. Just keep to the ground as you move forward hitting the trees for all varieties of eggs and a milk near the end in a thin two-tiered tree. Grab the milk and run forward until you reach the clouds. Now, the clouds here are easier to pass than on the water. Pass them when their drops hit the ground. Since Milo is faster than the box boat, this is leagues easier than before. Now, the bear at the end of this stage is a little more dangerous since he's right after the clouds. Let him swing his fist, then jump on his head and immediately right. To kill the bear, jump back out over him, drop an egg then pull back onto the platform. Keep doing this until he is totally underground and then finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.6: November ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A lot of tricky pind jumps in this one. Never forget where the fish are. ---Day--- Scene 11 Time: 350 Running to the right, we will find a crab. He changes direction to always move toward Milo, and has speed boosts when you move. But he's not _that_ fast at all. Jump over and proceed right. The first tree you come to has a red egg in its upper right limb. Take it and continue right. Stop at the pond. Kill the low flying duck then wait for the top one to fly back right. Jump the gap when the fish is high in the air. In the middle plateau, wait for the duck to fly back past you then jump further to the right when the fish is high in the air. Alright, a five-limbed tree. The lowest limb has an egg. Otherwise, let the duck fly rightm then jump right as the fish drops down. Kill the duck if possible, or let it cross the gap to the right. Whn the fish drops down, run out and jump the gap - Milo's graphic will need to be partly off the edge to make it properly. You land next to a tall singular tree. It has an egg, but it's too risky to get on a diagonal and too high to get if released straight up. Anyways, let the fish drop and jump right when the duck is out of the way. On this small island, kill the duck and wait for the squirrel at the upper right to drop down. Jump to the right as the fish falls back into the water. There's a two-tiered tree on this island. More importantly, kill the duck first and foremost. There's too many squirrels in the tree. When the fish drops into the water, jump right. Two trees on this small island, one short wide tree and a taller 4-limbed. Make Milo face the camera and bop the left end of the tree to send the milk straight up. Whether you get it or not, make your jump from the upper right branch. If you have no milk, then you need to wait for the fish to drop. Otherwise, just jump and fish be damned if he hits your mighty body. Head right and jump down to the lower island when the fish drops. Two ducks will be here. Kill the lower duck. When the fish is up high, get Milo just a tad over the edge and jump right. Make the same jump for the next bit of water AFTER the crab walks to his death. Kill the next crab on the otherside. The tree you land next to has a Letter Egg and a normal egg. Make sure to bop them straight up. Climb to the top of the multi-limb and jump off the upper right branch when the fish drops down. Jump again off this small island right to lower land after the crab walks to his death and the fish is high in the sky. Don't bop this tree. There is an egg but it will also drop a squirrel on Milo's head. Instead, climb on top of the tree and jump right after the crab falls to its doom and the fish is high up. But most importantly, kill the duck before you jump. The island you land on has two trees with a surplus of eggs and a Letter Egg. Fill your boots, but watch out for squirrels. When the fish drops down, and there is no crab, jump from the lower branch to the right. The lower, yes, it is level with the next cliff and farther out than the higher branch. For the next little bit, stand on top of trees and jump from tree to island as you head right and while the fish are dropping. Stop on the trees in the small islands to scroll any crabs or ducks onscreen. Before jumping, kill any ducks and have any crabsdrop into the water. Hit the tall tree on the way right across the longer land stretch ahead. There will be a Letter Egg but you have to send it flying to stand any chance of grabbing it. The crab under the single tree? Drop eggs on it. There is a bear to the right. This one has a duck above him. Kill the duck ASAP. Other than that the bear follows the same pattern as always: Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep doing this until the bear is buried underground completely. Exit the stage. ---Night--- Run right and jump onto the hill. Jump on top of the tree then move forward so that most of Milo is off the tree and jump. Mind the bat though, let him come forward before you make the jump. Make the next jump as we've been doing. Milo has to be a bit off the edge. You had better get this skill down now, where you have ground to catch you if you scre up. Anyways, when you see a tree, drop down. Get the Letter Egg form this tree then jump from the tree right across the water when the fish is down. We land next to a five-limbed tree. Alright, there are eggs in the upper left branch, but we really want the milk in the lower right. Do a straight up jump at the far end of this branch. Grab the milk and jump to the right. Run and jump right while hitting the trees. You should get to the clouds before your power runs out. If not, take it slow and bop and move. Kill any bats before jumping if you are not invincible. There -is- a Letter Egg here. You do not want to summon Otis in a stage with so many pits though, so if it's P - save it. Anyways, pass the cloud when the drop hits the ground. Let the fish jump up high then leap across the gap. You are near a single-limbed tree. get the egg if you want, but moreover let the turtle across the pond fall to his death. Jump form the top of the tree over to the next area. There are eggs and a letter egg in this tree, but most importantly is the milk in the upper right. We want to use our invincible Milo to getpast the jump after the solitary cloud. If you can't, just take things slow and make your jumps as the fish drops beneath your posiiton. Run right on this island with a single, one-limb tree and kill the bat. Let the turtle to the right walk to its death then jump right when the fish is high in the sky. Jump on top of the moderate height tree with the wide limb and kill the bat. When the fish is heading down, run and jump right. Jump down and right when the bat is moved away. Kill the bat when you land and let the crab walk to his doom. When the fish is high in the sky, jump to the right. The trees to the right almost form a staircase. Climb them and stop before the top step. Only go up here after the squirrel arrives and drops off. When the fish drops down, jump off the top "tree step" over to the right. When the bat is headed right and the fish is down, jump down and to the right. Start to climb this rocky staircase. Bop the trees, dodge the turtles. Just make your way to the top. Jump off to the right when the bat goes right. There's a 5-limbed tree and a bear here. If you can summon Otis here - do so with the Letter Egg form the upper right branch. Otherwise, we will be following our usual pattern: Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep doing this until the bear is buried underground completely. Exit the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ KM4.7: December ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brr! Winter! I hope you have a stockpile of eggs for this one. Also, no apples! ---Day--- Scene 13 Time: 350 Head right, the turtles are still here, except blue. There are also bunnies. There is alsoa blackbird enemy, which kind of looks like a penguin I guess, he behaves just liek previous chicks. He drops onto a tree and runs across it until he goes offscreen or into a pit, etc. The tree itself has a red egg, but you will notice that it drops snowballs in the stead of the apples, meaning you can't get apples in winter. Cherish your lives! Jump the gap to the right and you can pretty well skip this tree. Drop snowballs on the turtle. Continue up the stairs and also drop snowballs on the next turtle. Jump across again and pas sthis next tree, there's a bird in it. Keep going right and you will see some actual penguins on ice. Now ice is slippery so don;t make Milo run too fast on it or you will not be able to respond in time. At the gap, let the penguins fall in then jump across. At the end of the ice, jump up before the turtle reaches the edge then jump over him. Ignore these trees, and wait at the edge. When the rabbit jumps into the pit, jump across yourself. When you get to the cliff, bop the lower right limb of the nearest tree for some milk. Take it and run right and jump up. Try to pass the ice here before the power runs out. Near the end of the ice, there is a tree. Wait up here until the rabbit hops down from the cliff and passes underneath. Don;t forget to get the Letter Egg from this tree. On the cliff, head right and stay on the top of the tree. Jump across once the turtle drops to his doom. Walk down the hill to the right, and when the rabbit jumps into the pit you can jump right yourself. Keep heading right until you see a cloud. The tree here holds a milk bottle in its left branch. Take it and run past the clouds. Otherwise, wait for their drops to hit the ground and run right before the next can reach you. Too bad we can't reach the polar bear like this, then eh? Either way. He is just the same as any other bear. Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep doing this until the bear is buried underground completely. Exit the stage. The polar bear throws ice. Only jump out and drop your egg after he lobs ice. ---Night--- -There are a lot of letter eggs int his round. You may want to save them to summon Otis at the bear. Scene 14 Time: 350
Kind of a tight start here. Head right and you will see a rabbit. Jump over it
or walk under it and wait for the turtle to come close. When there's some space
between the turtle and the cloud, jump over the turtle and quickly run past the
cloud after its drop hits the ground. In other words, jump as a drop hits the
ground nad keep running for best results, but don't be rash.
Either way, after the first cloud, leap over the rabbit and pass the next
cloud in much the same manner.
Run right and jump up onto the cliff. Duck under the duck as it flies left and
this will give you time to lure the turtle right up against the side of the
bridge. When he is there, it's time to press forward. Jump over him and run a
bit forward as the fish drops into the ice and wait for the next fish to jump.
While this fish is up high, run forward and leap up to the next cliff.
Heading right, you will come to a wide tree. Let the duck fly right, then face
Milo to the camera. Do a straight up jump and knock the Letter Egg out. Great.
Snag it then jump down and right when the next duck is out of the way.
The tree you land near holds a milk. Bop it, take the delcious milk, and run
up the hill to the right until you get to a single tree beside a 5-limb tree.
Jump and bop the left middle limb of this tree. You should reveal a Letter Egg.
Now, get the milk from the upper right limb of the tree. Run right.
Try to run right onto the ice and past the cloud before your milk wears off. If
you can't, pass the cloud as its drop hits the ground as always.
At the egde of the ice, there is a two limbed tree. Hit the right side of the
top branch to reveal some milk. Very useful for this part.
Just run right over the ice, bopping the first tree you come to for a Letter
Egg. Otherwise, scroll the screen right and jump just as the second penguin
falls to his death. Still get the Letter Egg, just take your time as you cross
the ice and kill the duck.
Alright, let's start our venture down the hill to the right. Just jump over
the bunnies and duck under the ducks. When you come again to a five-imbed tree,
bop the middle left limb for another Letter Egg. There's been enough in this
round to summon Otis, iirc. This would be a good tree at which to summon him.
A little bit down the road you will find the polar bear. Now, the wide tree he
is next to contains a Letter Egg. Otis would be quite useful here. Otherwise, I
think you should use the tree if you don't want to jump on this bear's head.
Jump on the tree, jump over his thrown ice, drop an egg, and land on the exit.
Jump back and forth between the exit bombing the bear and eventually it will be
fully underground.
Exit the level.

Scene 15
Time: 350
Run forward and leap over the turtle. Leap up the hill, watch out for the
blackbird. You will be next to a two-tiered tree. Get the Letter Egg from the
single-limbed tree just after it, then jump down on the ice.
Follow the penguins right across the ice and jump onto the small tree you come
to. Jump out and pull back in until you scroll the next tree onscreen, this
will stop the infinite supply of penguins. When they've stopped, jump from the
edge of the small tree.
Jump onto the wide tree here, and drop snowballs on the penguins. Climb the
hill to the right and jump across the pit you come to.
Take the milk from the first tree you come to and jump up the cliff you see.
If you got no milk, wait for the penguin to drop down. Run right and jump off
the cliff to the ice below when the fish is high in the air.
get onto the thin column of ice and kill the fish next to it. Scroll the screen
right to cut off the supply of penguins. Jump across the gap, then onto the
wide tree. Drop snow on the penguins.
Scroll the suckers on the right onscreen, then climb that hill after those
penguins move.
Move right, drop some snow on the bunny. Get the Letter Egg from the top right
bough of the multi-limbed tree. Move right to the ice. Move across the ice to
the two limbed tree. At the right side of its lower bough, bop straight up and
you should get a Letter Egg.
After the next gap is a hill you can't scroll the penguins into stopping. So
jump over as one jumps into the hole. And there's one coming from the top of
the hill. Jump over him and get to the top of the hill.
Jump down when the penguins are away from the icy wall and kill them. Drop an
egg as you fall even. Start moving right and jump acorss the two gaps when the
fish is high in the sky.
We need to approach the next gap just like the previous cliff. Jump over as one
penguin drops into the pit, then jump out and over the next. Climb the cliff.
A ways to the right, there are two small trees. The thin one has a milk, the
side one has a Letter Egg. Take the egg, then the milk and run right.
Try to make it to the polar bear before your milk runs out. If you summoned
Otis back at the wide tree, this is easy. Otherwise, we will be doing the
most normal bear fighting tactics:
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
The polar bear throws ice. Only jump out and drop your egg after he lobs ice.
Exit the stage.

Scene 16
Time: 350
We start right on the ice in this scene. They're not wasting any time. Head to
the right. Stop near the cliff, avoid then penguin then jump to the cliff when
the fish jumps up high. Kill the next penguin.
There is a small tree here. Stand next to it until the penguins start to move
off of the cliff. the very NEXT small tree has a Letter Egg. Don't summon Otis
here, but if you did in the previous stage this is as good a place as any to
start anew.
Across the gap is a nother tall, singlularly-limbed tree. Make Milo face the
camera then bop this tree for a milk. Kill the duck, then take the milk. Now
jump the gap from up on the tree and climb the hill to the right. If you can't
get the milk, you have to jump between the penguins.
there's a drop soon after, jump it as a penguin drops off the edgem then kill
the next one. Nothing in the trees but blackbirds, head right.
Let the turtle drop off onto the ice, then leap over it onto the hill. Climb to
the top of the tree on top of this hill. Don't bop them - too many birds.
Anyways, from your lofty perch jump to the outstretched branch of the next
tree over. Kill the rabbit with snowballs, then drop down and head right.
Let the turtle drop form the cliff, then pass him and keep going. Let the
penguins below move off to the right. Stop near the cloud, jump back if you
slide too much. Move past when the snowball hits the ice. Let the next penguin
jump into the pit, then jump right across the pit.
Kill the duck here. Let the two penguins ot the lower right walk into the pit
and run through yourself. Stop after the cloud - jump up and down multiple
time suntil you come to a complete stop. Kill the duck, and jump right after
both penguins fall into the pit.
Leap ont op of the tree, then leap over the penguins. Stop before the cloud and
pass when the snow hits the ground. Jump over and kill the rabbit on its way.
Bop the bottom right bough of the first multi-limbed tree you come to for some
milk. Take it and run right.
You will come to three trees. The second tree's top section has a Letter Egg.
The first tree's bottom section has some milk. I'd get the egg, then the milk.
Run right and pass the tree. If you didn't get the milk, as always take your
time.
Either way, there's a ton of clouds to the right. The more you clear with your
milk, the better. But when it stops, make Milo come to a complete stop and take
it more slowly. Kill all penguins, and move past each cloud when its snow hits
the ice.
After the clouds, you will find the polar bear as always.
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
The polar bear throws ice. Only jump out and drop your egg after he lobs ice.
Exit the stage.

Scene 17
Time: 350
Much like January, there's a load of ice right from the start. Run forward to
the gap and jump aqcross when the fish is high in the sky.
Climb the icy hills and columns to the right in much the same way. Jump when
the fish is out of the way, and kill any ducks you see. I wish I could be more
specific with this, but really that's all there is to it. This is much more a
test of accuracy and skill than some other levels.
When you want to jump down, wait for the fish to be low, when you want to jump
up, the fish normally should be high or beneath you ehading down.
The first wide tree you come has a letter egg. If it's P, don't bother at this
point.
Alright, you eventually come to a one limbed tree next to a two-limbed. Hit the
one limb for a milk. Climb right while invincible. Otherwise, stand on top of
the trees and jump right above the penguins. Move across the high icy cliff and
jump down and right when the fish is heading down. Immediately leap up and kill
the penguins you land near.
Climb onto the tree, and let the next penguins fall off the cliff. Jump up here
yourself. When the fish drops down, jump right over the pit to the next wide
tree. At the very left of this tree is a Milk. Take it. Run right, the wide
tree just before the gap holds a Letter Egg.
Either way, if you don't get the milk jump across when the fish is down and the
penguins are over the edge. Otherwise, plough right on through.
Climb the hill to the right, and jump the gap when the fish is down. As for the
next gap with the penguins... Scroll the duck onscreen and kill it. Make a hop
right when the coast is clear from penguins and the fish is out of the way. You
will need to act immediately again and kill the penguins as you head up the
hill to the right.
the first tree you coem to has a Letter Egg. Take it or not, drop down and jump
the gapw hen the fish is high in the air. Kill the rabbit that approaches with
snowballs from a tree.
Finally, some ground without ice. Climb onto the snowy hill and kill the rabbit
here.
The multi-limbed tree you approach has milk in the upper left and a letter egg
in the upper right. Now, don't summon Otis here. YES, the bear is soon. BUT,
there is a hole infront of the bear. Take the milk and head right.
Climb the hill and kill the turtle. Jump off the hill you come to. That tree
has a milk so if youw ant it you need to make it fly off of the tree. If you
can't do that, you can't reach it.
Alright, the final stretch my friend. When that fish is in the air, jump the
gap and you will be right next to the polar bear. Wait out the duck, then
get down to our usual business:
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
The polar bear throws ice. Only jump out and drop your egg after he lobs ice.
Exit the stage.

At least we start on snow and not ice this time. Head right, jump over the
turtle, and climb the hill.
Kill a penguin on the bridge, then move across, passing the fish when they
are below the bridge, dropping or above the bridge, near the top of their jump.
The usual stuff son, the usual.
Drop down to the next bridge. We need to kill the penguins here too, and walk
past the fish when it is up only, we don't want to bop into a duck. The second
tree after the bridge has a Letter Egg at its righthand side.
jump right. The rabbit will walk into the pit, and you can drop right again
when the fish is up high. hit the left side of that one-limbed tree for milk.
Take it, and run right. If you can't, move more slowly to the right though the
middle of the big tree.
At the next bridge, we will just jump over penguins and run under fish. There
is enough space this time to be a little less stringent. Jump to the tree you
come to. Stomp some sno onto the duck, let the penguins pass and jump right.
jump up onto the hill when the fish is high in the air.
There are two trees before the next bridge. At the very right of the second
tree, there is aletter egg. Bop it out if you want it. kill the penguins and
pass the fish when it is high up.
Jump the next gap when the fish is high up.
Alright, a five-limbed tree. There is a letter egg in the middle left limb, at
the far left. Climb to the top and jump the gap when the fish is dropping down.
The wide tree after the jump, at the far right is a milk. Take it and it will
help you as you run down and right. Without the milk, there's three things to
consider: Jump when the fish are high, let turtles walk into pits, and kill
crouch under ducks.
You will come to a few trees. The last wide tree before the pit has a letter
egg. Take it if you want but it's safest to stay above the trees until after
you corss the pit. Of course, the fish should be high in the air before you
attempt to cross.
Just stay above the trees as you head right. You will eventually coem to a
polar bear.
Now, this polar bear is easily dispatched by jumping back and forth between
the tree and the exit top. Jump back and forth from the exit top after the
bear throws ice and stop until he throws again. Repeay until dead. Serves six.
Exit the stage.

KM4.10: March

Spring again! You know folks, for some reason my egg count is locked and there
may be normal eggs, there may not be. Either way, check the trees if you are
still getting eggs.

Scene 19
Time: 350
Run right and jump over the small, uh hedgehog? Anyways, they are like a much
faster rabbit. Anways, head to the tree. You can start collecting fruit again-
cherries in this season. But bopping many limbs will drop snakes on you. They
are long and drop down from the branches - so only bop branches you know have
rewards. So, we will mostly just be harvesting fruit, dig?
Move right, jummp over the hedgehog, then leap onto the hill. There is a small
tree next to a larger multi-limbed tree. Get the milk out of the lower right
limb. This will likely knock a snake out of the higher branch - dodge the snake
and take the milk. Jump to the cliff on the right.
Climb down the hill, kill the ducks with impunity if your egg supply seems
inexhaustable. The ground soon flattens out.
Near the next gap, there is a two-tiered tree. Bop the right side of the upper,
wider branch. This is a Letter Egg. Do -not- summon Otis here, but if you
don't have H-E-L yet, take it. Climb the cliff here and move right.
When the fish drops down, jump right and down to the land. Climb the tree - do
-not- bop it as almost all branches have snakes. When the diving bird passes
overhead, get to the top branches and wait at the upper right branch for the
frog on the ground to the lower right jumps into the water. When the fish heads
down and there is no diving bird to the right, jump down.
Climb onto the right branch of the tree you land next to. Let the duck draw
close then kill it with an egg. When the fish drops down, jump right to the
next tree.
This tree, in the upper branch actually holds an egg. Now folks, my eggs still
aren't running out - but if yours are - this is a dangerous prospect so you
can check trees that are not low to the ground.
Anyways, jump right when the fish is high in the air. The tree you land next
to has a Letter Egg in the middle left branch. I would jump right from the
lower right branch when the duck is out of the way and the fish is dropping
below the branch.
When you land, kill the duck. Let the snake to the right drop into the water
and jump right when the fish is up. You will need to be partially over the
edge when you jump to clear it properly.
When you land, kill the very next snake you see. Carefully climb to the top
of the tree and sit on the upper right branch. Jump right when the fish to
the right falls beneath the branch you're sitting on.
Keep on heading right to find a tree. Bop the right side for an egg, then kill
the nearby duck. Let the frog jump into the water. Jump right when the fish is
high, from the tree.
Skip the frog that comes toward you and run to the next water. When the fish
jumps up, clear the water. Milo will have to be a little out over the edge
before he jumps. Jump the frog ahead of you and keep going...
There's a Letter Egg on the mid-right section of the highest wide branch here
so get it if you please. It's safest to skip under the trees though, avoid the
diving birds and hedgehogs.
Climb the hill stairs to the right. Just stay flush to the wall and the
hedgehog will miss you as it dashes down the steps. Continue on your merry way.
Jump over the snake, then jump right over the pit.
This bear throws rocks.
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
Jump out only after the bear tosses his rock.
Head into the exit.

Scene 20
Time: 350
Run right and leap over the hedgehog. Keep running right. Jump over the mole
digging spot and drop an egg for good measure. Leap out to the trees in the
bottomless pit.
The first tree here's top branch has an egg and a letter egg. Take 'em and
jump right across the tree tops, dodging the duck. The next tree you can
headbutt has an egg. Take it, but watch out for the chicks that drop on this
branch, and the nearby duck.
Jump form the last tree up to the cliff.
Stick to the treetops here until you reach the next cliff. Leap on up and there
will be a tall thin tree sticking out of the pit.
Jump down off this tree to the right when the duck is out of the way. Land and
head right. The first tree you can bash has a milk on its left end. Make Milo
face the camera, hammer it straight up, then grab it and start climbing the
trees to the right. If youd id not get the milk, youw ill want to make haste
and drop eggs on the ducks.
Jump down and right, then jump again to the right. The multi-limbed tree has a
letter egg in the upper right bough, but other than that pass it ASAP. The mole
spot beneath it can make the difference between life and death for our poor
kitty cat.
Jump across the gap to the right, then kill the duck. You may want to get some
cherries from these trees, but that's all. Head right when you're ready.
Now, over the pit again. Hop across the treetops and you will find a bashable
tree near the end. Take the egg from it and kill the duck. Let the hedgehog to
the right run off the edge, then make the jump yourself.
There's another gap. Let the hedgehog dash into the hole, jump across, then
jump the next hedgehog that comes by.
Climb the trees then jump right to the cliff. Get to the top of the cliff.
Jump down and right, then follow the path down to the bear. _KILL THE DUCK_
before you take on the bear.

KM4.11: April

Scene 21
Time: 350
Run right until you see a pit. Take a jump to the next bit of land, then up to
the cliff and further up to the top of the tree.
Let a mole jump and pass under you, then jump down to the land below. Let the
duck pass overhead then jump to the right.
Climb to the top fo the multi-limbed tree. Take the Letter Egg from the middle
left limb and continue to the top. Jump to the isolated cliff to the right,
then to the bigger cliff to the right with the wide tree.
Drop some cherries on the mole under the tree, and the snake its jumping likely
releases. When both are dead, hit the right end of this tree from beneath to
reveal a bottle of milk. If it flies right, it will and on the next tree down.
Leap down to that tree if there no ducks around. If you didn't get the milk,
egg the duck then wait for the hedgehog to the right to run off the edge before
jumping right. If you -are- invincible, just jump over there with indiscretion.
Head to the tall tree to the left. A diving bird drops down the middle. Let it
pass, then climb up the left side of the tree. Let the bird drop down again,
then get to the upper right branch. Alright, wow. The fish has to be down and
the duck needs to be away from the box. Jump formt his upper right limb and
land in the box. Ideally, you will still be invincible from your drink of milk
long enough to make this jump.
Anyways, we're in the box. Let's start boating to the right. As always, let the
fish jump up before you pass them, and pass clouds just after their rain hits
the water. stop after every cloud to mark the positions of any more fish. You
can crouch into the box to avoid the ducks, then jump to shore.
Back on shore, a hedgehog jumps off of a cliff. Jump over him, jump up onto the
tree and then jump right onto the cliff. Reach the upper right portion of this
cliff.
Jump down into the box, and I repeat:
"As always, let the fish jump up before you pass them, and pass clouds just
after their rain hits the water. stop after every cloud to mark the positions
of any more fish. You can crouch into the box to avoid the ducks."
When you get to the shore, let the snake slither into the waterm then jump on
up.
Jump into the tree and kill the next snake with cherries. There is a Letter Egg
in the upper left branch.
Either way, leap that gap to the right when the fish is high in the sky. Jump
over the frog that approaches.
Climb the tree that you come to. get the egg form the upper right branch, then
sit on the bottom right limb. Take a flying jump right into the box as the fish
passes below the branch.
There's only one cloud in this stretch of water. Just pass the fish when it is
high in the air, and pass the cloud as the drop hits the water. Remember - wait
and see where the fish will be next before moving.
The tree at the next shore has an egg in the right branches, though it is
actually safer to wait for the duck to move out of the way and jump on top of
the tree and move right.
Jump beneath the thin tree and bop its left side to reveal a milk. Make sure
Milo faces the camera before you jump up. Otherwise, wait for the frog to jump
into the water and the fish to be way up high.
Pass the fish to the right, and you'll be at the bear.
This bear throws rocks.
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
Jump out only after the bear tosses his rock.
Head into the exit.

Scene 22
Time: 350
Run forward and you will soon see a tree. Leap on top of it and move to the
right to avoid the chick dropping down. Wait for the fish to the right to drop
below your position, then jump right.
Hit the tree just before the bridge on the right side for the milk, take it and
jump right over the gap. If you didn't get the milk, wait for the frog to jump
into the water then leap across when the fish is high up. You will be near a
very high cliff.
Of course, you can get up here by jumping on top of the tree then right to the
cliff.
You'll see a bridge with... monkies? Gee, Milo sure gets around. Drop a few
eggs on them OR jump across them. Run past the fish when they are dropping
below the fish, or under when they're high up.
The two trees before the next drop, there are eggs at their right ends each.
Okay, let the frog drop off the bridge, then jump down when you mark the fish's
position. The tree at the end of the bridge has a Letter Egg. Take it only if
you need it, NOT if it will call Otis. That would be a short lived summon.
Get on top of the tree and jump right when the bridge to the right of tree has
no or few monkies. Cross under the fish when he's high up.
Walk down the hill to the right. Kill the duck and stay ont he low tree until
the frog betrays his position. Crush him with cherries, but not Milo's ;). At
any rate, there's a four-limbed tree to the right.
There are two eggs - one in the lower left and one in the left side of the
upper right. Take what you need and continue along.
There's a red egg in the tree just before the bridge. Take it, jump over the
frog, and continue right under the fish when he's high in the air.
The tree right after the bridge has a milk in its left section. Take it and run
right. Bop that high up branch if you need a Letter Egg, otherwise continue
along on your way.
Jump right ontot hat outstretched branch. Milo should just reach it ont he arc
of his jump. There's an egg in the left branch, but a grave chance of shaking
loose a snake so just jump down to the right.
Alright, to the right is a 5-limbed tree near some moles. The bottom left has
an egg, so does the bottom right. the top left limb has a third egg. So stock
up and continue right.
Jump across the gap and kill the low-flying duck. Also kill the hedgehog on
the mad rush from the right. The tre ehere has an egg and a milk. You will want
to face Milo toward the camera before you try for either of them. If you don't
get the milk, just wait for the hedgehog to pass before jumping right. If you
do get the milk, just rish on up that hill to the right after clearing the gap
from the top of the tree.
The three trees across the top here have two eggs and a red egg between them.
It;s best to search while under the influence... of milk, but just mind the
moles if you never got the milk. Jump down to the right.
Alright, kill the low-flying duck here. Tot he right, drop down, then jump
onto the tree. The bear is here.
This bear throws rocks.
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
Jump out only after the bear tosses his rock.
Head into the exit.

Time: 350
You come out of the entrance right next to a pit. Scroll the duck onscreen then
jump right when it is over the pit.
There is an egg in the left side of the tree you land next to. Bop the left
side of the tree and take the egg. Jump onto the tree then jump onto the cliff.
Drop down the step-like cliffs to the right when there is no duck nearby. Kill
the ducks you come to and stop on the column right before the spot where the
hedgehogs are appearing.
Let the frog and hedgehog jump off the edge. More will be comign so jump right
before they do. Leap over the frog and the hedgehogand continue right to the
five-limbed tree. Take the red egg fromt he upper right branch, then continue
to the right.
Kill the duck, then jump right. Climb the hill to the right. Jump into the
branches of the tree you come to, and get the egg from the upper left branch.
Stay on top of the branches to avoid the moles, then jump across the gap to
the right.
Jump ontot he small tree and get Milo a bit out over the edge so it looks like
he is standing in the air. Jump right to the next bit of land when the duck is
flying left over the gap. Kill the duck when you land, then continue to the
right once more.
Jump the next after the frog drops into the pit. Keep heading right. Take your
time as you approach the next tree. Let the diving bird pass you by, then lure
the frog out and jumpove rhim. Jump on top of the upper right branch, then jump
into the box when the fish drops below your branch.
In the box, head right when the fish are up in the air, then stop and mark the
fish's next position. Pass the cloud as its raindrop hits the surface of the
water and jump over the duck onto the shore at the end. Kill the duck.
There's an egg in the upper right branch of this tree. Take it, then continue
right to the next tree. Jump to it when the fish is high in the sky.

When you are beside this tree, climb to its upper right branch. There's an egg
in the upper left if you want, take it and go to the upper right. When the fish
drops down, and there are no frogs to the right, jump down and to the right.
Head right and leap over the frog and hedgehog. Pass the single limbed tree,
and as for the five limbed tree, it has an egg in each of its upper branches.
But either way, head over to the right and stand to the right of that mole
digging spot. Kill moles as the emerge until the fish is high in the sky and
you can make the jump to the right.
Jump right again when the next fish is high and the hedgehog has run into the
water.
Climb the hill to the right and stay beneath the trees so as not to get hit by
a diving bird. Be careful not to bop the trees, a snake would be unavoidable
here.
Jump into the box on the right when the fish is high in the sky. Pass the cloud
when the drop hits the water, and before the next can arrive. Everytime you
pass under a fish, stop afetrwards to see where the fish will jump out of next.
Jump on the shore to land squarely beside the end of stage bear.
This bear throws rocks.
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
Jump out only after the bear tosses his rock.
Head into the exit.

Scene 24
Time: 350
We're almost at the end, my friend. Run right and leap over the hedgehog. Jump
into the branches of the five-limbed tree you come to. This will keep you
above the hedgehog and moles. Take the egg fromt he upper right branch, then
jump to the tree to the right.
Drop some cherries on a mole by stomping the tree. Move right, watch out for
the rock. There is a rock bear here. Avoid the rock, then jump to his head just
as his arm stops swinging. Immediately jump right and kill the frog. Jump right
again passing the water.
Jump intot he tree you come to so as you can keep out of range of the frogs.
Jump from the lower right branch across to the next cliff. Take the Letter Egg
from the tree here unless it summons Otis (he will run into the water after all
and not help against the bear).
There's another rock bear here. As with the previous bear, jump onto his head
after he swings his arm, then jump to his right.
Jump to the cliff to the right, then jump to the top. Jump on top of the tree,
then to the right of the mole digging spot, then down tot he right when the
fish is high in the air. Kill the duck you land near.
These trees mostly hold snakes, so just walk under then and jump into the box
at the far right. Duck under the duck, then jump right over the hedgehog as the
fish is high in the sky.
When you climb the hill to the right, make sure you climb it by way of the tree
tops as this will keep you clear of hedgehogs and moles.
There's a bear out on a ledge. Jump onto his head as his arm finishes swinging,
then jump up and to the right to land on the next cliff - in other words you
need to extra height of the bear to reach this spot.
Jump down off the right to that small space of land with the mole digging spot.

+-----+ Land on the very left side, point A. This will keep you safe from
| | moles as they jump up (not as they walk).
Kill the mole that pops out, then jump up onto the cliff tot he right. Kill the
duck here. You can even use cherries from the nearby trees.
There are many trees here. The top branch of the tree enarest the cliff has a
Letter Egg, do __not__ get a "P" egg here. Calling Otis will have him hit that
column and fall to his death. Do what you will, then climb to the top of the
last tree by way of the branches of the second last. Jump to the column.
Jump down ontot he bear as he swings his arms, timing it so he stops swinging
as you land. Jump immediately across the gap to the right and kill the frog.
Alternativelyt, you could land beside the bear, but he will throw a rock down
at you. If it's more comfortable for you though, give it a shot.
But I digress, let's continue to the right. Stay under the tree and jump over
the hedgehogs. When you see the trick drop down, let it move out from under
the tree so you can straight up kill it or leap over it.
The line of trees tot he right, run over the top of them to find the final bear
of the game. Befor eyou take him on, make sure no moles or ducks are in the way
of our heroic young Milo.
This bear throws rocks.
Jump to the bear's head, then to the platform above the exit. Jump out above
the bear and drop an egg on his head. Pull back into the platform and keep
doing this until the bear is buried underground completely.
Jump out only after the bear tosses his rock.
Head into the exit.
Enjoy the brief but cute ending. Meow!

*Bat:
Flies forward in a straight line. Easy to avoid, but look out for them in a
crowd. Don't jump into one attempting to escape something else!
*Bee:
Flies up and down. Easy to predict, jump over it when it's down, walk under it
when it's up. Usually over a pit, so you will usually be jumping.
*Beetle:
Pops out of some trees when you jump into their branches. Easy to avoid as
long as you don't shake a ton of them loose
*Chick:
Drops down on top of a tree, then runs across the branches. Usually best leaped
over.
*Jumping Fish:
Very, Very much like a Cheep-Cheep.
*Landing Bird:
Flies down ata diagonal, only going horizontal when it hits the ground or a
branch.
*Mole:
Watch for the ground to move a bit, a mole will be jumping up from the depths.
Simply wait for it to emerge, or jump over the emergence point as you move
through the stage.
*Rat:
Simply moves across the screen. Lep over them, they are normally not worth
using an apple on unless they are in tight groups.

*Cloud:
Drops rain pellets which can kill Milo. Wait for a pellet to hit the surface,
and then pass through before another one comes.
*Duck:
Just flies straight forward. Only difficult in groups (in which case jump and
egg) or over water (in which case make sure you will and in your box after you
jump).
*Frog:
Runs forward and jumps. Often near the end of a river segment, you will have to
normally let the frog drop off into the water before passing through.

*Bear:
Takes multiple hits. Stationary, lethal-to-touch enemy that swings his arm.
Hop back and forth over him dropping multiple eggs until he is stuck completely
underground.
You __can__ leap on top of his head, but if he swings his arm you die. So if
you have to get on top of him, get off ASAP.
*Squirrel:
Behaves like the beetles. They pop out of a tree whenyou bop the limb, then run
off.
*Turtle:
Essentially the rat of the marsh area. Low to the ground, looks a hell of a lot
like a koopa and is fatal to touch. These turtles have an added threat - they
turn and move toward Milo.

*Rabbit:
A white bunny. Much like the frogs they move forward and jump. It's often best
to let them jump to their own deaths.

*Crab:
A step up from the turtle. the crab also changes direction to always chase Milo
but also speeds upw hen Milo does as well. You're still faster though.

*Blackbird:
Just like chicks, drops from the sky and moves down over trees.
*Penguin:
Found on ice. Moves forward. Just let them drop off. They are much like rats
and it's the ice that grants them any challenge whatsoever. Use an egg if they
are packed tightly.
*Polar Bear:
Virtually the same a sthe regular bear, except they throw ice balls forward.
It's best to attack from behind if possible.

*Hedgehog:
I'm probably wrong based on what they are. But they are small, fast ridents
which jump. They are a lot like the previous bunnie sin that respect - except
they aren't lagomorphs.
*Rock Bear:
This is the same as the polar bear, except he tosses rocks. No real difference.
*Snake:
A long and slow moving enemy that often drops from branches when you bop a tree
from beneath. Because they fall down, they can be instantly deadly due to their
size.
The ALSO turn to move toward you. Dangerous enemy.

genesis of this whole guide, ha ha...
Thanks to everyone behind the movie. You know, say what you want about Milo and
Otis. I agree, the treatment of the titular characters seems dubious at best,
and especially so if you watch the scenes that were censored away from Western
Eyes. But this film is a loveable classic to many kids, myself included. That
justifies nothing, of course, but the point is I enjoyed the film.

liberties with the monkies and penguins, but this is a really fun game and I
have no complaints about the incongruous animals :).
