Walkthrough NEW YORK Adam's apartment: 1. Touch the coffee table. 2. Check the phone buried beneath the papers and headphones. 3. Examine the door to leave Adam's apartment. Acme Lab: 1. Talk to Matt for the code. 2. Examine the computer near Matt and input 13135. From there, you can go to France, Russia, or Egypt. ********** FRANCE 1. Talk to the curator, Mr. Socapi. Ask him about the break-in. 2. Examine the right-hand window. Tell Mr. Socapi the window needs to be examined nonetheless. 3. Cover both sills with dust, and either blow into the microphone or rub finger over the microphone. 4. Go to the curator's office. 5. Talk to Mr. Socapi and persuade him to leave. 6. Examine and obtain the statuette; go back to scene of the crime. 7. Show the statuette to Mr. Socapi. 8. Go back to curator's office. 9. Examine the pedestal. You'll obtain a memory card. ********** RUSSIA 1. Talk to the guard. 2. Check Adam's phone; make a phone call. 3. Ilona will arrive and the scene will progress, otherwise tap on Adam/Julia. 4. Enter the palace gates. 5. Inside library, ask Ilona about the location of the dolls, she'll mention a hidden section behind the bookcase and a button. 6. Examine the middle bookshelf, press the button. 7. Ask Ilona for the combination. 8. Examine the middle bookshelf again, search the middle drawer, and tap on the book to obtain it. 9. Give the book to Ilona to translate. Translation: "THREE beautiful ladies were spinning by candlelight late ONE night. The eldest one said: If I could marry the Czar - I would cook and bake 'ONE' royal feast. A feast all guests would remember for a long time. The second ONE said: If I could marry the Czar, I would weave a cloth of gold. Everyone wished they had it. And the youngest of the THREE whispered: If the Czar married me - I would give Him ONE child, handsome and brave, beyond compare." (NOTE: The English translation does not underline the "one" following the word 'bake'.) 10. Examine the middle bookshelf again, and press the button. 11. Start from bottom-most 3, and connect to 1, 1, 1, 3, 1. You'll obtain a memory card. ********** EGYPT 1. Talk to the man in the suit, Omar Shalhoub, and ask him if he's found any clues. 2. Talk to the man in white, Ahmed. Have Adam ask about the photography gear. 3. Examine the photographs on the table. Examine the bottom middle photo. You'll obtain it. 4. Give the photo to Ahmed. 5. Go to the lake behind Omar Shalhoub. 6. Navigate the maze. Go from top to bottom, left side of the screen, and head right. Hit a wall, go up, follow the path to bottom right corner. Watch the air supply. 7. At the Underwater Temple, examine the scarab on the door. You'll need to find three missing keys. Examine the bottom right pot and retrieve the key. Examine the left pot and retrieve the key. Examine the recessed statue and retrieve the key. 8. Examine the scarab on the door again. Right key goes at the bottom. Middle key goes at the top. Left key goes in the middle. 9. You'll obtain memory card. 10. At this point all three memory cards will have been analyzed. You need to rearrange the photos in the bottom left corner. Photos include: Brandenburg Gate Manor (Black Forest) Animal statue (Town Musicians of Bremen) Town and tower ********** GERMANY 1. Examine the front door. 2. Examine the four statues. 3. Examine the front door again. Move JSB (upper left piece) to the center. Move LVB (upper right piece) Move RW (lower left piece Move JB (lower right piece) 4. Examine the statue. Input 92, 65, 37, and 48. You'll recover the painting, scarab, and dolls. 5. Examine the fireplace mantle. ********** INDIA 1. Talk to the man in blue, tell him you're Acme agents. Ask where to find the princess. 2. Examine the right-hand palace gates. 3. Talk to the girl. 4. Have Adam/Julia ask the girl if she can take you to her mother. Tell her the necklace may be in danger of being stolen. You've no choice but to play the girl's game, she will leave her room. 5. Examine the door to leave. You'll be back out in front of the Taj Mahal. 6. Talk to the girl to play a game of hide-and-seek. You need to tap her portrait every time she pops up behind a shrub/bush/tree 10 times. Once the girl agrees to show you the necklace, she'll leave. 7. Examine the right-hand palace gates again. You'll obtain the necklace. ********** SPAIN 1. Talk to Matt. Have Julia ask Matt where to find the lab entrance. 2. Examine the hole on the ground between the fountains. 3. Examine the two-handle device left of Matt. 4. You will need to scan the four items for microchips: Painting (upper left corner) Dolls (bottom rightmost doll) Necklace (second biggest loop) Scarab (left side of the beetle's body) 5. Examine the computers right of Matt. Input 13135. Tanzania, Peru, Italy, and Japan will be added on the globe; however your only option is to go to Tanzania at the moment. ********** TANZANIA 1. Talk to the Masai chief. Tell him the mask may be in danger of being stolen and that you're willing to undertake a task to win the Masai chief's trust. You'll need to find the Masai Chief's amulet. 2. Examine the extinguished fire pit. Brush away the sand in the middle-lower right hand portion of the DS's screen. You'll obtain an amulet. 3. Give the amulet to the Masai chief. 4. Examine the cave entrance. You will need to navigate the maze, head as far down as you can, then right, take the path up, round around the corner and go down. Your end is in the lower-right hand corner of the DS's screen. You'll obtain the mask and return outside. 5. Give the mask to the Masai chief. 6. Use Adam's phone and call Matt. You'll be forced to head to Italy. ********** ITALY 1. Talk to the woman in the pink dress. Ask the woman to help you get into the palace and that you know the theme of the masquerade is commedia dell'arte. 2. Examine the mask display. Top row, take the right-most mask. Bottom row, take the left-most mask. 3. Talk to the security guard outside the palace. 4. Inside the palace, talk to the woman in the pink dress and her companion. Take the conversation route that doesn't alert them to the case. You'll find out the Doge's heir is wearing a Harlequin mask. 5. You'll need to check the hands of all the MALE guests. The correct man is wearing a yellow and purple coat, dancing with a woman wearing an orange dress. 6. Carmen will steal the ring; you'll have to navigate the maze to catch her. Follow the green arrows until you reach the C (Carmen); Carmen will run off. Each time you reach Carmen, the timer resets. Follow the bottom arrow after reaching Carmen the first time and the maze should be straightforward. You can cross some barriers, but not all of it. You'll be forced to head to Japan. ********** JAPAN 1. Talk to the old man and ask about the samurai sword. He'll give permission to enter the temple. 2. Examine the shoji door to enter the weapons room. 3. Examine the treasure chest beneath the seven swords. 4. Examine the table for the piece of paper with the dragon picture on it. You'll obtain it automatically. 5. Examine the dragon poster near the samurai statue. You'll obtain that one as well. 6. Examine the weapons cache left of the samurai statue. Take the bottom left picture of the dragon. 7. Examine the treasure chest again. You'll have to place the three pearls in the correct spots. A pearl by the window of the left building. A pearl directly under the pagoda. A pearl directly above the treetops. 8. You'll obtain a wooden katana. Leave the weapons room. 9. Give the katana to the old man. 10. You'll have to scale the rocks. Getting hit by a rock will set you back to the beginning. First screen, scale to the right-hand side, go under the large rock. Second screen, scale to the left-hand side, curving over the smaller rocks. 11. Use Adam's phone and call Matt. You'll be heading to Peru. ********** PERU 1. Examine the wheelbarrow. Clear away the sand in the lower left hand corner of the DS's screen to find a mask. 2. Use the mask on the door and examine the door. 3. Examine the nearby desk. Memorize the symbols: bird, mask, snake, pyramid. 4. Open the stone door. 5. You'll need to step on the right tiles. You'll need to follow a particular pattern, in this order: bird, mask, snake, pyramid. Return to New York. ********** NEW YORK 1. Examine the hologram between the Chief and Matt. 2.
