INTRODUCTION G0100 =============================================================================== Welcome to 'DS Toukemuri Suspense Series: Free Writer Touyako' for the Nintendo DS, released by Zenrin in 2008. The game was only released in Japan and naturally only in Japanese. The game is a small mystery novel which requires just some small interactions, mainly location changes, and some other minute tasks. Overall it plays like a visual novel in three chapters. Not understanding Japanese destroys the value of playing the game. The game has quirky humor and might not be your thing anyway if you are not grasping the Japanese language or culture. By the way, "Free Writer" is Japanese for "Freelance Writer". This game is not based on any existing media even though it seems connected to a TV show or something. It is a blatant C-movie cast with original story. Suggestions, comments or errors - tell me about it. Enjoy! =============================================================================== 02.) BASICS G0200 =============================================================================== Being a modern DS game I do not feel I need to get much into controls or anything. The game can entirely played with the stylus or just the built-in controler. As most interactions are just single buttons the menus are super easy too. At the start you only have 1 chapter to play and you will see Chapter 2 and 3 pop up after completing the former. You can also select the maps from the main menu to get some further insight of the area. I don't know how that would really be useful but it's there... =============================================================================== 03.)
