[16] Destroy the Strange Machines [17] Recover a Key from Sharpedo! [18] Seek the Origin of the Quake! [19] Intro [01] After you choose if you’re a boy or girl you have to catch a Pikachu. If you’ve played Pokemon Rangers 1 you know what to do. If this is the first Pokemon Ranger you’ve played I’ll tell you how to catch Pokemon. You use your Stylus and draw loops around the Pokemon your trying to catch. You keep drawing loops until the bar under the Pokemon is full. After you catch Pikachu you see a man named Kaplan. He says “You are now a member of our secret army, the inscrutable Team School”. If you want to know what inscrutable means don’t ask me I don’t know either. You just used the School Styler. You get different Stylers later in the game. The entrance exam for school was catching Pikachu so yay you go to school (The school is pretty fun so don’t get bummed.) Your teacher is Ms.April, she will bring you to your classroom. School: First Day [02] You walk into the school with Ms.April and the Pokemon Rangers Shadows of Almia start screen comes up then you start class. The kids ask questions about how you look then you walk in. Ms.April asks what your name is then you enter your name. Ms.April explains lots of important stuff so you should read the text. The change screen button is pretty cool and useful so I suggest using it. You can only have three friend Pokemon right now but later in the game you can have more. Friend Pokemon use Poke Assists which can help you catch harder Pokemon. I’ll explain Poke assists in greater detail later. Ms.April asks Rhythmi to give you a tour of the school. Rhythmi says she wants to be an operator (A person who helps rangers when they are on missions). The thing floating is a save machine, if you’ve played video games before I don’t need to explain it. Tour [03] You and Rhythmi start the tour. You go to the classroom next to yours and meet Mr.Kincaid. Next go through the door on the top left. It’s the Library. You meet Isaac then leave to the room on the top right. You meet your principal Mr.Lamont. He tells you this is the staff room. Then you go to the top middle and go through the door on the right. It’s the dorms there’s a boys room and a girls room. Janice is the caretaker. In the top right of the dorm is a recharge machine where you can recharge your Styler. When Pokemon attack your line when you are making loops around them you lose Styler energy and when it’s at zero game over. When you walk out of the Staff Room the bell rings and you can go outside. I suggest going into your classroom and saving. Rhythmi tells about the Training Room. Then you go in for a lesson. Special Lessons [04] You walk in and what do you see Mr.Kaplan is one of the teachers. The other teacher is Ms.Claire. Mr.Kaplan then starts teaching you the basics of capture. If my explaining didn’t help pay attention to this lesson! Next Ms.Claire explains target clears. You need to use target clears a lot so again if you don’t know how to do them you should pay attention. If you didn’t understand the lesson or you missed a part you can always come back to the Training Room to see it again. Capture Race [05] Keith challenges you to a capture race to see who can catch the most Bidoof. After catching four you should have grown a level. When you grow a level your Styler gets more energy (Energy is the Stylers health like I said before when it hits zero you go back to where you last saved). After you catch four the race ends and Keith has only one more then you. Rhythmi tells you about one more place Ascension Square. You go left then south then down some stairs to get there. After Rhythmi tells you where it is you go there but I suggest catching some of the Pokemon that you see. Ascension Square [06] In Ascension Square there is a pledge stone if you pledge near it, it will come true! Now the tour is done. Rhythmi asks to be your friend and so does Keith. Then the bell rings and you go back to class. Test of Courage [07] Your friends want you to take the test of courage to see if you’re brave. Four of your classmates hid their Stylers in the school. You have to find them and put them in front of the basement door (The basement door is the one in the top middle on the left). The kid seated next to you goes to so Keith’s coming with you. I again suggest saving. First get the Bidoof that scared the snot out of Keith. Then go to the Library. Just like in the special lesson use Bidoof to break that box. Then get the other Bidoof in the room. Again break the next box. Then go in front of the table with the blue thing on it (The blue things are the Stylers). Leave the Library and catch the same Bidoof again. Now go to your classroom. You see five boxes but the one next to the save machine is the one you break. Inside the box was another Styler.Now go to Mr.Kincaid’s classroom The Stylers right on the table you just got to catch Zubat. Go into the staff room and you got to chase Pichu. When you finally get to him you catch him and I guess he was holding the Styler and when you catch him he drops it. You got all four now you can go down to the basement. Catch a Bidoof and break that box down there. Then you see a new thing that’s made out of wood that needs to be cleared. You need a one cut to clear it. Zubat has one cut so use him. You go near the basement door and OH NO!! Four Gastly’s come! Ghost pokemon like Gastly disappear and reappear in a different spot to make them harder to catch. After you catch them Mr.Kincaids bursts through the door and screams “WHO’S THERE?!” He really scared me! Then you run for your life. Mr.Kincaid walks through the door and asks if some experiment is a success. You don’t find out what the experiment is until later in the game. Well you passed and now you’re going back to class. Outdoor Class [08] Outdoor Class is in Ascension Square. If you forgot it’s left of the school south then down some stairs. In Outdoor Class a real ranger visits. His Name is Crawford and he got a BIG afro. His Partner Pokemon is Budew (Partner Pokemon are Pokemon that you keep forever Friend Pokemon leave after you use their assist or target clear). In Outdoor Class the main thing you do is the “Question-&-Answer Session of Terror”! I’m not sure what’s so terrible about it. You don’t ask anything so just kick back press A and watch your touch screen. After awhile Crawford gets a voicemail (Voicemails are kind of like phone calls you get on your Styler the Stylers you get later in the game have that feature the school Stylers don’t). Barlow says there is Pokemon called Mantine that needs help. So Crawford has to save the day! The Outdoor Class gets cut short and Crawford leaves on his boat. Keith didn’t ask all his questions which makes me real sad…But anyway you Keith and Rhythmi make a pledge that you’re going to follow your dreams. Then you get a letter from your sister that there moving closer to you. New Stylers [09] Ms.April shows your class two new Stylers that have the voicemail feature. She wants to test them with Keith being the ranger and Rhythmi the operator. But where is he? So instead you do the ranger part. You’re to close so you go farther. Then Mr.Kincaid again bursts through the door before you can even leave the room. Mr.Kincaid wants to talk to Keith but he isn’t here! Mr.Kincaid says there is missing Stylers and who does he blame? You guessed it, Keith. Ms.April offers to look for Keith and so does you and the whole class. Where’s Keith? [10] Go to the dorm room and Rhythmi voicemails you to come to the front door of the school. When you get there Janice says she found a Styler in the school yard so Rhythmi suggests you look there. You see a Styler on the ground then you look for more. One Styler is way at the bottom of the school yard then when you pick it up Rhythmi says she hears voices. Then you go down some stairs and find Keith and some weird dude. The weird dude stole the Stylers and not Keith. The weird dude hits the tree and four Stylers fly out of his pocket and a Pokemon called Slakoth lands on his head. Keith takes the Stylers and you catch the Slakoth. Ms.April comes in and Rhythmi explains what happened. The weird dude said he wanted to be a ranger so he took the Stylers. Ms.April says he can join even if he’s an adult. You go to the Staff Room then you get a letter from your sister that says she’s going to move to a village called Chicole Village. Then you’re back to class. 1-day Internships [11] A 1-day Internship is where you experience what it’s like to be a ranger. You and Keith go to Vientown which is where Crawford is. Rhythmi wants to be a operator so she goes to the Ranger Union (You will go to the Ranger Union a lot later in the game). Walk out of the school and keep going down until you walk down those stairs. Someone says “Help me” and you see the person on a tree with Bidoof around him. Keith says his name is Little Tim and he’s really scared of Pokemon! Little Tim is the milkman. To save him you and Keith catch the Bidoofs. These Bidoofs are a little tougher but it’s not too hard. Little Tim lives in Vientown. Now you and Keith can go to Vientown. When you cross the bridge you see a little girl (Isaac’s sister). Then you continue to Vientown. You walk through school road and there you are Vientown. You walk into the Ranger Base and the operator gives you an “important” parcel and you got to bring it to Breeze Hill. You keep going and after awhile you see Mr.Woodward with some Pokemon. After he asks some questions you go up some stairs and see some Rangers and their Partner Pokemon. You give Barlow the parcel and you probably thought something really special was in there but it was really the Rangers lunch. Barlow is the Ranger Leader. If you talk to Barlow he says Vientown isn’t too exciting and it’s not like a movie or game (Heheheh that’s funny). After you talk to Barlow try to leave. When you try a “Beach Boy” comes and says Pokemon went wild! Soothe the Pokemon on the Beach [12] Go to the beach you passed and you see the Pokemon around the Beach Boy’s girlfriend. You can catch Starly(flying type), Pachirisu(Electric type), and Munchlax(Normal type) Which ever Pokemon you choose to catch becomes your Partner Pokemon so choose carefully. After you catch one of those Pokemon that’s Mission Clear! You and Keith then go back to the Ranger Base and after awhile you and Keith are about to leave but then a man walks in. The man is Professor Hastings! If you’ve played Pokemon Ranger 1 you probably remember who this man is. After you meet him you walk out of the Ranger Base and see the Pokemon you caught on the beach. Barlow says that you can’t have a Partner Pokemon until you become a Ranger. The Pokemon follows you until you get to the bridge. At the bridge you got to release him. After you release him you see Rhythmi also going back to school. Graduation Day [13] Ms. April tells you that you can say goodbye to your friends until the bell rings. If you talk to Keith he tells you he’s going to the Fiore region (Again if you’ve played Pokemon Rangers 1 you should remember that region). Rhythmi is also going to the Fiore region. So go to Mr.Kincaid’s classroom and talk to Ponte (Funny looking dude you met on the bridge during 1-day Internship green hair). He tells you that Isaac’s going to Altru Inc. Then he shows you the news paper about Altru. Next go to the Staff Room. Talk to the Principal then leave. I suggest going to the dorms and saving. Walk out of the school and the bell will ring. Keith will tell you to come in then the ceremony starts. Mr. Kincaid calls Isaac “our best student” that’s kind of a weird thing to say in front of all the students…Anyway Isaac gives a speech then goes back in his spot. Ms. April calls you as the representative, cool. When you’re about to go up there…there’s an explosion! It was from the basement. Mr. Kincaid goes down there and screams. Then two Pokemon come out and you and Keith decide to catch them. You notice something different you don’t fill a little bar you fill a big bar! Only boss Pokemon have those really big bars. Also you can’t run from boss Pokemon. He’s not that hard so you should’ve caught him in less than 30 seconds. After that it goes back to the ceremony like it didn’t even happen. So you finally step forward without explosions! After the ceremony you get a letter from your sister. After you read it your sister wakes you up and then you go downstairs. Then you got to go to Vientown’s ranger base since you are a ranger. Go North of Chicole Village, through Chicole Path, and you’re at Vientown. Luana brings you into the Ranger Base and everyone’s there! You go into the changing room and now you have your Ranger uniform. Barlow gives you the Capture Styler. Now you’re officially a Ranger. It has a Poke Assist feature! If you don’t know what Poke Assists are Crawford shows you. After the lesson you get another introduction to refresh your memory. After that refresher Barlow gives you your first mission delivering…newspapers… Deliver Vien Tribune [14] Ok leave the ranger base and go to the house on the left it’s an orange house. There’s some talking then Crawford gives the mom the newspaper then you go south of that house then into another orange house. It’s Mr. Woodward’s place. He’s not here but you go look for him at Nabiki Beach (Where you met your soon to be Partner Pokemon). Go to the beach and you see the Pokemon you caught before. Then Mr. Woodward comes. Then the Pokemon becomes your Partner! Crawford then gives you a lesson on the Partner Gauge. After the lesson Crawford gives Mr. Woodward the Vien Tribune. Then you go back to Vientown. Now go left of Mr. Woodward’s house and go inside the last orange house. It’s Little Tim’s place! You see his whole family. It’s real easy to see his wife…Anyway Crawford gives them the Vien Tribune then you make your way to Chicole Village. When your there go to the house with the two kids in front of it. You give them the newspaper then go into the house next to that house. Crawford gives them the newspaper then you leave. Go south of that house then go left into your house! You give the Vien Tribune to your dad then leave. Go right to the last house. After Crawford gives the lady the paper you’re done! Now go back to the Ranger Base. You walk in and Barlow says “That’s Mission Clear”! Barlow asks you to rest then it’s the next day. Mr. Woodward says he heard noises in Marine Cave. So you and Crawford go check it out. Investigate the Marine Cave! [15] When you’re on Nabiki Beach Crawford gives you a little lesson then you keep going west then south to get to Marine Cave. You notice the Pokemon are behaving strange, than Zubat attacks! After you catch him you didn’t befriend him. You keep going north until you see some fence. You can’t use any Pokemon in the cave so go outside and catch a Pokemon that has cut. So go north of Nabiki Beach and catch Glameow (Looks like a cat but with a weird tail).Use Glameow to cut the fence then keep going. Go north and you find a red machine. It’s the thing making the Pokemon act strange. Touch the machine and you see it needs two soak so you need to go north of the red machine into the opening. The Pokemon there aren’t affected so keep going north until you see a big rock, you need Nosepass so you go south from there left then north and you’ll see him. Catch Nosepass and use him to break the big rock. Behind the rock was a Gastrodon the evolved form of Shellos. Catch him and you see he has two soak so now you can break that red machine! Go back to the red machine and use his target clear. After you break it the Pokemon that were affected flee. Crawford try’s to bring it back but he’s not too strong. He voicemails Almia’s strongest person to help him. You run into Little Tim’s wife Big Bertha and find out she’s Almia’s strongest person! When your back at the Ranger Base it is Mission Clear! Barlow even promotes you to Ranger Rank 1(You can use different Poke Assists and you have new Styler features when you get promoted)! Elaine shows you the paper with Keith in it. After that Little Tim comes and needs help. It’s too small for a mission so Barlow makes it a quest. Barlow explains what quests are. Little Tim needs help with his Miltank at his farm. The farm is south of the base. Go into his house, go through the backdoor, and your there. All you got to do is catch Miltank. Miltank is calmed so that’s Quest Clear! An Operator gives you a reward for doing Quests. When you try to go back into the Ranger Base you hear a noise. When you go inside it was just Big Bertha dropping the Machine on the ground. After some talk I suggest saving. Talk to Barlow to rest. He quickly says Vien Forest is on fire! You and Luana take the Mission. Vien Forest is north of Vientown. Fight the Vien Forest Fire! [16] When you’re in Vien Forest there’s no fire…yet. Mimi says her Happiny are mission so you got to find them. If you go left then south a burning log will fall and you’ll need to catch 4 Budews. You need a two soak so go north, past a little bridge, then go north and you’ll see a bad fire going on. Catch Wartortle. If you try going north more Luana won’t let you and you see another red machine. Go back to the burning log and use Wartortle to soak it. Go south, left and you’ll see one Happiny. Catch it and you’ll see two more burning logs. Go south left and you’ll see a different Wartortle, catch it then soak one of the logs. Go north, cross another little bridge, and save. Then go north and you’ll see Crawford. Crawford tells you to find the Happiny before you deal with the fire. Go south, turn left, south, than catch Wartortle. North, turn right, south, right, right again, north and you’ll find a Happiny. Catch it, bring your two Happiny back to Mimi. One more to go. Go right, north a little, right you should see a Taillow (Blue bird) and a Shinx(Looks kind of like a dog) then go south and catch the last Happiny. Bring it to Mimi then go back to Crawford (Left, south, left, north to get there). Crawford tells you that you need Blastoise. Go left, then south, and you’ll see him. When you catch him go back to where Crawford was go west then talk to him. You need to use his Area Move Rain Dance. You need to have a “?” floating above your head then you touch Blastoise and press yes. Go west a little bit and the “?” will be there. He’ll make it rain then the fires will be out. When that happens it is Mission Clear! You three are about to go back but then a weird man runs away from you. Luana and Crawford will take him to Ranger Base and you go there also. When your back at Ranger Base Barlow promotes you to ranger Rank 2! The weird man smells like oil and won’t talk so Crawford ties him up! Everyone starts giving him nicknames but they decide on Ollie. Barlow makes you patrol so go outside and talk to the old lady she wants to see a Combee. You can easily find them in Vien Forest so if you catch one bring it to her and you’ll get Electric Defense. You can do more quests but I’m just going to do that one. When you’re done go into the Ranger Base and talk to Barlow and if you say yes he’ll have you stop patrolling. After that he makes you rest. After you rest Barlow tells you that Professor Hastings is back and he is coming to the Ranger Base. Barlow wants you to make sure Professor Hastings didn’t get lost so you got to go to Vien Forest. When you try to go in there Professor Hastings already made it out. You and him go back to the Ranger Base. Professor Hastings looks at the red machine and he says he saw the same thing at Pueltown. Barlow makes you and Luana go to Pueltown (Pueltown is at the other end of Vien Forest). Go into Vien Forest and go north, cross a little bridge, go north some more, go north again, go up some stairs, keep going north until you see a cliff, and Luana says it’s called “Lookout Ridge”. After some talk you go left a little and down. When you see two Beedrills (They look like bees) Go left you’ll see a sign that says Vientown > Pueltown down so do what the sign says and go down. Go down some stairs turn left, go north and you’ll be there! You see a red machine(You need two soak to break it) so you got a mission! Destroy the Strange Machines! [17] Go back into Vien forest and catch the pokemon by the lake (it’s called a Bibarel and it’s the evolved form of Bidoof). It has two soak so go back into Pueltown and use him to break the red machine! After you break it you notice two shady guys (or girls) set down another machine. It’s really called a Gigaremo unit. Go under the bridge and you’ll see another red Gigaremo unit. Get Bibarel again and break it! Go where Brook just went and you’ll see there’s more! This time it’s a green Gigaremo unit. If you touch it you see you need two burn. Go back to the other part of Pueltown and go south and you’ll find a pokemon called Growlithe(Looks like a dog and has two burn). Catch it and go to the green Gigaremo unit and break it! There still acting weird so you have to find the other Gigaremo unit. Go south and you’ll see another green unit. Get Growlithe again and break it. After you break it some Pokemon will flee. Two shady guys come and see that we broke the units and they are going to tell their leader. Chase the shady folk into another part of Pueltown. When your there you see Melody being attacked! Next to them you see a green unit so go back to that part of Pueltown with the Growlithe, catch one and bring it back to the green machine and break it. When you’re heading to the green machine catch the Elekid. Go south of there and you’ll see a gate that needs two electric to open. Use Elekid to open the gate. You see a blue unit that needs 3 Electric so go north from the gate, then left and catch the Elekid again. Use him to break the machine. After you break it the Bibarel will leave and Melody will be safe. Go west from where the Bibarel used to be to chase the shady guys. Go right and north and you’ll see some shady guys, a Pokemon, and a yellow unit. When they stop talking Luana asks them some questions and they say there Team Dim Sun. The leader makes a bunch of Rattata attack you and after you catch them he makes you catch the boss a Toxicroak. After you catch him they run away with the unit. Brook try’s to catch them but it’s an epic fail. Now you have to go back to the Ranger Base. After some talk it is Mission Clear! Now rest up. The next day Big Bertha comes by with some pudding (Yum yum). After Big bertha gives Ollie some pudding he explains that he started the fire. You, Elaine and Luana then untie Ollie. Barlow then makes you patrol. When you leave the Ranger Base Ollie says his mo-friend lives in Chicole Village so go to Chicole Village and your sister says there’s a hat ghost! Go south of Chicole Village and go near the hat ghost. You then see it’s a Kricketot. After you catch it, it joins as your second Partner Pokemon (You can have more than one Partner Pokemon but you can only have one at a time). Your dad suggests he stays at Partner Farm! Kricketot is still nervous so you can’t take him yet. Leave Partner Farm and go into your next-door neighbor’s house. When you leave your little sister says you need to check on Kricketot. Go into Partner Farm and you can now take Kricketot as a Partner Pokemon! When you’re done go back to the Ranger Base. Talk to Barlow to rest. Then Professor Hasting says he finds a stone. He wants to bring it to the Union and he forces Barlow to come with him. Now you rest. The next day Luana shows you the paper that has an article about Top Rangers! Barlow then Voicemails you to come to Pueltown (other side of Vien Forest. So quickly get over there! When you get there Barlow says there’s something wrong with the bridge. You and Barlow run over there and Professor Hastings says you need Brook so go to the harbor to find him. When your there you see Brook by the water. He says when he tried to chase the Team Dim Sun people he dropped the key for the bridge! Barlow gives you a device called a Micro Aqualung (Lets you breath underwater). Brook calls his buddy with a boat then you go to the area where he dropped the key. Then you jump into the water. The shining thing you just saw is the key so go right until you see a Pokemon. Then go south until you can’t anymore, go left, south a little, then a Sharpedo will take the key! Then Barlow makes it a mission. Recover a Key from Sharpedo! [18] Go where the key used to be then go left a little, then south until you see two rocks. They need one crush so catch the Pokemon called Finneon (He’s purple, light blue, and dark blue). Use him to break one of the rocks. Go south from the rocks and you’ll see Sharpedo. Catch Staryu then go north and go back to where you were before, go right a little and cut the fence with Staryu. Go north from the fence, west into another part of the sea. Go right until you can go south, go south a little, go right again, then south and you’ll see a fence that needs to be cut. So find a Staryu and cut up that fence! Go south from the fence, then left, until you see a Mantine. Catch Mantine and go left into another part of the sea. Keep going left until you see a current (DO NOT ride the current)! Keep going south until you see a “?” floating above your head. When you see that click on Mantine and press yes and you’ll be swimming on those deep parts. Go west into another part of the sea and you’ll see Sharpedo. Go north from the current, left ride a current south, ride another left, then go to the area where you can get off of Mantine. Go left from there into another part of the sea and save. Go left and north and Barlow will tell you that you need to ride currents to catch Sharpedo. It’s really hard but not impossible. When you catch up to him you got to catch him. After you catch him you will get the key and be back on the boat. That’s Mission Clear! You’ll also be promoted to Ranger Rank 3. Barlow also makes it so you can have up to four Friend Pokemon! You then make your way back to the bridge. When your there Brook lowers the bridge and Professor Hastings runs off with Barlow again and a man named Murph tells you about a park on the other side of the bridge so go north to Altru Park. You see Isaac and he tells you that he’ll give you a tour of Altru Inc. so go north from the park to get there. In the middle of the tour a man with green hair the current president of Altru Inc. walks in. He tells Isaac to get back to work so the tour gets cut short. When your leaving you get a voicemail from Barlow saying you have to get a Pokemon that can break a red Gigaremo (Two soak breaks a red one) to the Ranger Union. So leave the area and go west of Altru Park. You should be on Union Road. Keep going west into another area of Union Road. Keep going west until you see a Bibarel catch it and go north until you’re inside the Ranger Union. Go up to the second floor on the escalator. A man will take you in a room with a red Gigaremo and you have to break it with Bibarel. A underfoot diagram will come up and Professor Hastings will explain why there is a stone in the Gigaremo units. Wendy starts asking you some yes or no questions. I’m not sure if these matter but still try to answer honestly. Barlow will be in the research room (right> on the floor your on). Go in there and talk to Barlow and rest. The next morning you have to go down the escalator and you’ll see Barlow. He tells you to go back to Vientown so go south and they’ll be an earthquake! Go west some more and they’ll be another! A lady will tell you she saw big Pokemon on Peril Cliffs and Barlow makes you go there. It is north past the log cabin. Seek the Origin of the Quake! [19] Go north and you’ll be in Peril Cliffs. Go north until you see some vines, climb them. Go north a little and climb some more. You’ll see a vine that’s high up and you need to cut it to climb it. Catch a Staravia and cut it, now climb it. Go west and go on the Springy Grass. You’ll go across a cliff. Now go west into another part and there will be another earthquake and you’ll see two Rampardos ramming the wall! Climb up the vines behind you, and you’ll see another vine that needs to be cut. Catch the Staravia near you, cut it, and climb it. Go west and north and you’ll see some vines. Climb them. Go west on the vines, be careful some Pokemon can hit you and you’ll fall off the vines. Keep going west until you can go south. Go south, down some more vines, and west into another area. You notice the yellow Gigaremo, now go west and jump down a ledge, jump down two more, and see what you need to break the yellow Gigaremo (two crush). Go west and up some vines. Now go on a springy grass and west into the area you were in before. Go west, climb up some vines, and catch Mawile! Go back to the yellow Gigaremo and use Mawile to break it. Jump down a ledge, go west up some vines, on a springy grass, on another Springy Grass, and on one more Springy Grass. You see another Gigaremo so go on another Springy Grass into the area you were before, find and catch Mawile again, than break the Gigaremo. Wow, that was a lot. Sorry!
