Push it in until it clicks. Open the DSi menu and look for the icon meant to represent the DS game. You should see the logo of the game in that. Tap it to start gameplay. 10. Playing Games (Wi-Fi (Local))*************************************DS11*** You will need... - 2 or more DS consoles - 1 or more compatible games - An open space is recommended Download Play: Everyone should start their DS's to the DS/DSi Menu. One person, the host, should start the game card. The host will then go to the multiplayer function in the game. Use the "DS Download Play" function. At this time, all of the other players should go to the DS Download Play menu. An icon will appear, representing the game being played as well as the nickname (DS/game varies) of the person issuing the download. Tap it to participate. Follow any on-screen instructions, as they vary from game to game. Multi-Card Play: Everyone should start the DS's and the same game. Playing Games (Demos)****************************************DS13******** At some retailers, such as GameStop and Best Buy, you may use the DS Download Play function and notice an unknown icon come up, one that seems like it isn't a video game. Exactly. This download will allow you to play upcoming game's demos and watch videos. I know this is extra, but my first experience was about to play Mario Kart DS with my sister and noticed the icon. I then was able to watch the KH: 358/2 Days trailer. 14. What's Included?****************************************DS14************* (On the console.) - DS playability - Allows you to play most - not all - DS games. - DSi Camera - Take some photos of yourself, mess with them, etc. See my FAQ in the DS Hardware for more in-depth stuff. - DSi Sound - Record some cool stuff. Maybe record you favorite part of a song, or record part of the Mario theme song. Again, see my FAQ in the DS Hardware for more in-depth stuff. - DSi Shop - Download games and apps, for a cost. - PictoChat - Talk with other people via Wi-Fi. No need to type so loud! - DS Download Play - Play multiplayer on games you don't have. Also allows access to demos, etc. at retailers. 15. Sleep Mode****************************************DS15******************* Whenever you close your DSi, it goes into Sleep Mode. This means that it saves a crapload of power. The typical full-charge DSi will last 6 ~ 8 days on Sleep Mode. Note that, in some cases, it cannot be activated. Also, some games (ie: Super Mario 64 DS) will make a noise when entering/exiting Sleep Mode. 16. Changing Settings****************************************DS16************ From the DSi Menu, you should select the wrench icon - the Settings. This will allow you to change the settings and other various things. Change your DS name, your birthdate, your color, wireless settings, and PLENTY more. 17.
