==Intro== Hello, I am Gamespottedpuppy, this is an FAQ for Democart 01, a demonstration cartridge. The game let's you choose between Ice Hockey and Ping Pong. It is also called Democart. ==TABLE OF CONTENTS== 1. Intro (See above) 2. Updates 3. Controls 4. Start Up 5. Hockey 5.1. Hockey Controls 5.2. Starting the game 5.3. Gameplay 6. Pong 6.1. Channel F controls = My Control Scheme(Keyboard) Forward = Up Backward = Down Left = Left Right = Right Rotate Right = F Rotate Left = D Pull Up = S Plunge Down = A Button 1 = Z Button 2 = X Button 3 = C Button 4 = V Buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4 set up the options for the game. For the sake of this being a Channel F FAQ, I will refer them by their proper controls. ===Start Up=== When the game turns on, the screen will say "G?". That means it is asking you what game you want. Press Button 1 for Hockey or Button 2 for Tennis. ===Hockey=== Hockey is like pong but with a few new features. * You can rotate the paddles (or players) * Blockers (or goalies) block the ball (or the puck) from entering the goal (or net) * Time and Motion settings (however I guess they already did that) * You can move left and right as well Ad you expect, the object of the game is like a real hockey game, the object is to gain the most points by putting the ball(or the puck) past the blocker (or goalie). Let's begin. ==Hockey Controls== Forward = Moves your paddle(or player) up. Backward = Moves your paddle(or player) down. Left = Moves your paddle(or player) left. Right = Moves your paddle(or player) right. Rotate Right = Rotates the paddle(or player) right(or clockwise). Rotate Left = Rotates the paddle(or player) left(or counter clockwise). Pull Up = Moves the blocker(or goalie) up. Plunge Down = Moves the blocker(or goalie) up. Button 1 = Choose a time limit. Button 2 = Choose how fast you want the ball(or the puck) and the paddle (or players) Button 3 = Resets the game Button 4 = Starts the game ==Starting the game== When the hockey game is selected, it will set up a hockey arena and it will say "S?". That means it is asking you if you want to start the game. If you do then it will set up the game with medium speed and infinite time. However, if you press button 1 it will ask you "T?", meaning how long you want the game to be. -If you press Button 1, you would get two minutes. -If you press Button 2, you would get five minutes. -If you press Button 3, you would get ten minutes. -If you press Button 4, you would get twenty minutes. -If you press Button 4, when it says "S?" you would get infinite time. If you press Button 2, it will say "M?" which means it is asking you what speed the ball(or the puck) and the paddle(or players) you want. -If you press Button 1, you would get a slow speed. -If you press Button 2, you would get a normal speed. -If you press Button 3, you would get a fast speed. -If you press button 4, you would get a very fast speed. -If you press Button 4, when it says "S?" you would get a normal speed. When you get the desired options, press Button 4 and begin playing. ==Gameplay== If the game begins on its default setting (Medium speed and infinite time), then you are playing what might be a practice mode. You can get up to ninety-nine points in the game, if you gain one goal on ninety-nine, it resets back to zero, just like in other video games. Thankfully you do not need to reset the game fully, just press Button 3 and it resets the hockey game (think of a soft reset but with the power of the pause button). When playing the game on a time limit, then you are playing the real game. When the timer runs out, it will say "S?" as if the game ended without deciding the winner, but it did not. Instead it is allowing you to decide the options again. If you press Button 4 when that happens, you will get one minute of play, with the scores remaining. The game never ends, so you might want to decide on when to stop the game and decide the winner, My suggestion is go for the 4-quarter version, four games of hockey, whoever scores the most points wins. In my opinion, this game gives a simulator feel because you have control over the game, when it really ends, and who the winner is. ===Pong=== Although Fairchild calls it Tennis, it is more of Pong but with the ability to move left and right and up and down. Let's begin ==Pong Controls== Forward = Moves your paddle(or player) up. Backward = Moves your paddle(or player) down. Left = Moves your paddle(or player) left. Right = Moves your paddle(or player) right. Rotate Right = N/A Rotate Left = N/A Pull Up = N/A Plunge Down = N/A Button 1 = Choose a time limit. Button 2 = Choose how fast you want the ball and the paddle(or players) Button 3 = Resets the game Button 4 = Starts the game ==Starting the game== When the tennis game is selected, it will set up a tennis arena and it will say "S?". If you press Button 2, it will say "M?" which means it is asking you what speed the ball and the paddle(or players) you want. ==Gameplay== Unlike its Hockey counterpart, this game has also a score limit of fifteen, when you reach fifteen, the game "ends" by saying "S?". However, you can continue the game, just when you score a goal, it will say "S?" again. It get's annoying so just end the game when someone scores his or her 15th point and it says "S?". The game also had a time limit as well, just like the hockey game. When the time limit is reached before the score limit(which rarely happens if you and the other player are really good players), the game "ends,” allowing you to either end it there or continue the game to reach the fifteen point limit. In my opinion, the game is a little annoying. ===Questions=== Q: What game in Democart 01 would you prefer? A: Defiantly Hockey, it is better than pong in every way. Q: What do you mean when you say a demonstration cartridge? A: It is means it is a demonstration of what the system (this being Channel F) can do. It is also called a cartridge because it is well, a cartridge. ===Credits=== GameFaqs - For being a good site. Fairchild - For making the game. You - for reading this.
