Introduction =============================================================================== Acorn Adventure is an interactive fiction adventure made in 1983 by CSL Microdata. The aim is to explore the offices of Acorn and escape with four items: an Electron, a Basic2 ROM, an Econet interface and a Teletext adapter. Some puzzles can be quite confusing without some knowledge of the individuals and objects associated with Acorn, but overall this is a fun little adventure. =============================================================================== 2. Walkthrough =============================================================================== The game starts at the reception desk. Move NORTH to the office of M.D. GET DISTRIBUTION CONTRACT. Move WEST to Customer Support. GET SOURCE CODE. Move NORTH and EAST to the secretary's office. GET U.S DEALER BUSINESS CARD. Move NORTH to the Word Processing Department. EXAMINE TORCH to see the numbers 6502. Move WEST to the canteen. GET CUP OF COFFEE. Move EAST twice to the Public Relations Department. GET 'ACORN USER' PRESS CARD. Move SOUTH and EAST to the prototype laboratory. GET TELETEXT ADAPTOR. Move WEST and SOUTH to the Quality Control Department. GET BLANK EPROM. Move NORTH four times to the Mail Order Department. GET SPADE. Move SOUTH twice, WEST, SOUTH and WEST to the room with the scaffolding. DIG SPADE and the monster will fall into the hole. Move WEST to the warehouse. GET ELECTRON. Move EAST twice, NORTH, EAST, NORTH twice and WEST to the rear exit. GET POWER PILL. EAT POWER PILL. DRINK CUP COFFEE. Move WEST and SOUTH to the Marketing Office. OFFER DISTRIBTION CONTRACT to Sheridan. Move WEST to the Software Support Department. BLOW ROM. GET ROM. Move EAST, NORTH, EAST twice and SOUTH to the Export Department. GIVE U.S. DEALER BUSINESS CARD to Herman and he will leave to look for Chris. Move EAST to the despatch bay. GET ECONET INTERFACE. Move WEST, NORTH and WEST to the rear exit. Item List =============================================================================== 'ACORN USER' PRESS CARD Found in the Public Relations department. It is needed to pass east from the board room past Chris into the prototype laboratory. BASIC2 ROM Found by blowing the Basic2 Rom in the Software Support department when the Basic2 source code and Blank EPROM are in the inventory. It is one of the four important items that is counted at the end of the game. BASIC2 SOURCE CODE Found in Customer Support. It is one of the items needed to make the Basic2 Rom. BLANK EPROM Found after examining the EPROM eraser in the Quality Control department. It is one of the items needed to make the Basic2 Rom. CUP OF COFFEE Found in the canteen. After the power pill has been eaten, the cup of coffee is drunk to wash it down. DISTRIBUTION CONTRACT Found in the office of M.D. It is offered to Williams in the Marketing Office. ECONET INTERFACE Found in the despatch bay. It is one of the four important items that is counted at the end of the game. ELECTRON Found in the warehouse. It is one of the four important items that is counted at the end of the game. POWER PILL Found in the rear exit. It is eaten and is the cup of coffee is then drunk to swallow the power pill. After the power pill has been eaten, you can move south from the showroom into the marketing office. SPADE Found in the Mail Order department. It is used to dig to defeat the monster in the room with the scaffolding. TELETEXT ADAPTOR Found in the prototype laboratory. It is one of the four important items that is counted at the end of the game. TORCH Found in the Word Processing Department. The torch can be examined to see the numbers 6502. U.S. DEALER BUSINESS CARD Found in the secretary's office. It is given to Herman in the Export Department. =============================================================================== 4.
