I decided to write a guide for this game as it is the only Acorn Archimedes game on www.gamefaqs.com that I have not submitted game data for that has been accepted (so far). I found the game (once I discovered the controls) very easy to complete and would recommend for anyone that has a couple of hours to kill. I did have fun trying to move my player and learn how to Skip. I also enjoyed the game afterwards. I hope that this guide is useful for you and that you enjoy this game. =============================================================================== Contents =============================================================================== To find a section quickly, press "Ctrl"+"F" and copy the string of text in the square brackets. 01) Controls ..................................... There is no difference between the characters, so just choose the character you prefer. =============================================================================== 03) Game Tactics [AB03] =============================================================================== Mastering each of these different types of tasks in this game will be the difference between winning and loosing. The game is not that hard once you learn the controls and timing required for the game. The tasks in this guide is listed in the same manner as you will encounter them through the game. Each Boxing match begins with some Punch-Bag training to gain some extra health and then follows up with a round of Boxing (Boxing Match). After the round has finished without a clear winner, you will enter the Skipping task to regain more health. After the Skippins, another Boxing round starts. If both players have not been KO'ed yet, another Punch-Bag training for more health happens. Finally, the third and final Boxing round starts. Once this round is finished, a winner will be decided on and the entire process happens again for another Boxing Match. Anyway, let us move on to the explanations of each task. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03A) Punch-Bag Practise [AB03A] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walk close to the bag and keep hitting it. When it moves to the right (left for Player 2), edge closer to the right (left for Player 2) and hit it to slow the bag down. If you are not hitting the bag when it is as far to the other side as possible, slow the bag down some more and edge further to the other side and keep hitting the bag. When you are hitting the bag as it is as far to the right (left for Player 2) as possible, stay in that position and hope the bag does not hit you before you finish the round. If the bag does hit you, you will not be able to move until this part of the game is concluded and you are in the ring. Try to be careful when hitting the bag, but do not be too careful that it costs you some health increase. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03B) Boxing Match [AB03B] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I learnt how to make my player move from left to right, I noticed that you move back to the left (right for Player 2) when you knock the opponent down to the ground. However, if you stay to the left (right for Player 2) side of the ring, you get more time to attempt to KO the opponent when he gets up. This is not advised for a 2 Player match, as you will have both players spending an entire match waiting for the other person to move over to the opposite side. Once the computer opponent gets to you, I generally just hit him with a lot of low punches. Defending wastes more time than it helps you to win and most high or mid attacks will be blocked by the computer. Sometimes, you can get in an uppercut, but the low punches are more reliable. Once you get the opponent in the red area near to the end of their health bar, they can be KO'ed or knocked to the ground at any moment. This is when you generally move back to your starting position if you moved. I am unsure about what determines a KO or a simple knock to the ground. If you know the deciding factor, please E-mail me if the information. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03C) Skipping [AB03C] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excluding the controls, there is little that I can help you with. This task is about timing. At the beginning, it is better to wait until the rope is near your feet. When the swing gets faster, you need to time your jumps earlier to still jump over the rope. I should mention that the more rope swings you jump over in a row, the quicker you will regain your health and the better chance you will have over your opponent in the next round. =============================================================================== 04) FAQs [AB04] =============================================================================== Q) Can you give me All-In Boxing via E-Mail? A) I could give you this game via E-Mail, according to the Acorn Revival Team. However, I have decided not to provide any links to a site where where you can download it. =============================================================================== 05) Contact Details [AB05] =============================================================================== E-Mail: games_ps2_pc[at]yahoo[dot]co[dot]uk Subject: All-In Boxing Guide NOTE: Replace "[at]" with "@" and "[dot]" with "." to make the E-Mail address a valid E-Mail address where I will receive your message.
