      INTRODUCTION

I decided to do my own personal completion project for the APF MP-1000. My
grandpa owns the actual system and all the games so I am on game #2 which is
Baseball. I might even write some reviews for the system too. This game is real
garbabe.

         STORY
o---------------------o

If you are familiar with baseball then you already know that your task is to
get more runs (points) than your opponent within at least 8.5 innings. It is 9
innings but if the top team fails to meet or beat the bottom team's score at
the end of the Top 9 inning then the game ends there. If its tied then there'll
be extra innings to be played until the bottom team beats the top teams score
or fails to do so.

Joystick numpad: decision

~Defense~

Joystick W or E: Move left or right. Also controls ball when thrown
Joystick S: fast ball
Joystick N: slow ball

~Offense~

Joystick enter: Swing at ball

This game assumes you are either using the actual system or the emulator called
APF_Emuw which is more realistic than using MESS.

First you choose between these 3 options
-1. 2 player game
-2. 1 player vs Computer

Press the appropiate button to choose the option. I suggest you pick the #1
option if you are looking for competition because the computer can't pitch
worth shit.  All they throw are balls.

The two player game is more exciting since you have someone to actually compete
against. The game itself is craptastic but hey I'm writing an FAQ here so I put
my differences aside here.

The person playing on defense starts off by throwing the ball via slowball or a
fastball. That person guides the baseball down to the plate or if they feel
lucky, turn use the left and right motions to make a slider or curveball.

If the ball reaches reaches the plate, it will be a strike if its within the
zone or a ball if it is way outside. Don't bother trying to bean someone, it
will only result in a strike.

Throw three strikes and the batter is out. Four balls and the batter will go to
first base automatically. The runners on base will advance automatically as
well. Get three outs to change sides.

Unlike most baseball games, the defensive player will record an out by catching
a hit ball. If a hit ball slips by then a Single, Double, Triple, or Homerun is
randomly called and the runners advance accordingly. A runner reaching home
will score a run. As mentioned in the story section, the game is won when the
team has a higher score than the other after 9 innings or 8.5 if the top team
fails to meet or beat the bottom teams score or more than 9 innings if both of
the teams were tied at the end of 9.

Ties at the end of 9 innings are decided by extra innings which the bottom must
meet the top teams score to stay alive or beat the score to win the game.
