------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beef with Soulja? FAQ 17th April 2019 Explored and Written by 91210 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contents: Premise Gameplay Shop(?) Obstacles - Overview - Explanations ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Premise ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beef With Soulja is a game featuring the YouTube sensations Soulja Boy, known for making music and using YouTube and his website to help sell them. Soulja Boy isn't your everyday household name. The name Beef with Soulja means something. The term 'Beef' means conflict and then ther is that amazing graphic on the start screen in the game with Soulja Boy, shirtless and in boxing gloves but then when you actually play the game, you think it's a boxing match against anyone,? Nope there's none of that. All I see and notice is some hoodie, running up a street, trying to avoid objects, police officers and zombies in an endless runner. The character who is running I'm taking a guess is Soulja Boy. He sounds like Soulja Boy because she speaks whenever you swipe at the screen to the left or right and when he collects the Draco when he can't use it. Yep, not sure why a graphic was made which doesn't represent the entire game. You can't get him to shoot in this game. You can collect the Draco but there is no shooting. That Draco looks very good and well placed to be used to shoot someone or something but yet there is no shooting in this game, so I wonder why it is in the game. It is the name of one of this tracks, named Draco, so he really finds a way to include that into the game. For a first attempt being featured in the game, there's maybe this idea to have critics like myself complain about content like that and to hit the reviews on Google Play or the Apple Store, so Soulja Boy will be back with a better game after reading them. Fair enough! If you ever thought that was bad? You should see how many ads you'll get in this game. Apparently the game is free to download but after every two or three attempts in the game, you'll get an ads. The cost to removing the ads? $2/£1.69! You may as well have bought the game. It does feel like I've been denied the choice and be forced to purchase it and that's just the beginning where anyone's money could go. Having said all of that, the game isn't that bad! It's rather decent. Being an endless runner in a modern day apocalyptic street setting, you could have some fun and get used to what the gameplay offers with Soulja Boy's voicing the character in the game. Some ofthe confusing graphics and elements really get in the way and hinder the premise of the game and it is a shame because it is a decent game within it. After a while, you may even want to mute the game if you are going to farm for coins because it gets tedious listening to the music and Soulja Boy himself saying "this way, that way, Draco!" if you keep playing the game. You can't even turn off the music or sound in the game and listen to either one optionally. No seperate channels for just listening to the music only or sound only, you are forced to listen to both or turn them both off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gameplay ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beef with Soulja is an endless running set on a street. You play as Soulja Boy and he puts himself in an endless world trying to escape the zombies trying to get him with the cars trying to run him over and police minding their own business who simply maybe don't like hoodies bumping into them. You can swipe the screen left or right and Soulja Boy will move. You can also jump over some objects like the cones or rocks. More about what to avoid and how to avoid them in the obstalce version. Despite the game name, I'm not actually sure where the "beef" with other characters in this game is. Collecting coins adds to the bank. Each coin is worth 1.They are usually found in rows of three, so they are worth collecting during the game. Collecting the Draco, the pistolized version of an AK-47 does do something in the game. It rewards you with 5 coins. Also nice to know that there is some good time to actually move into a position between obstacles. Another words, the objects randomly spawn but there hasn't been a situation where there has been so many objects spawn at once which trap Soulja Boy resorting in a cheap game over screen, so it is nice that the game has thought about that. The collision detection is questionable in rare cases. Some objects like the stop signs and some of the vehicles, the reality with how these objects are presented, Soulja Boy can still avoid these objects, like the car facing towards the bottom for example, there should be enough room to get behind that vehicle but because the edge of the roof is part of that graphic, the game thinks it's an obstacle. It's very unreal. You can get a high score but it's pointless now to explain what I have to say about it. The high score board has been turned off. There's a glitch in the game where you could not restart your score. If you goto the shop after you get a game over, you can hit the back button and you'll be taken to the title screen and start the game again, you'll find your score has been saved and you've resumed playing where your score has left off. So you can take that score and upload it, which is why the score board has been taken down and has been unaccessable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shop(?) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As silly as this comes across, I'm not really sure why there is a shop in the game. The shop allows you to purchase coins however there's not really much to purchase with ingame coins. Maybe a way to get used to coding a function for the game developers but it's really ridiculous including a microtransaction system where the only purchases are hoodies. It is extremely easy to collect 500 coins, it only takes 10 minutes in the game. So reaching 1,000,000 coins shouldn't be a problem to unlock what the mystery item is. All I can say is, if you want to pay $9.95 for 4,500 coins and keep buying, then I'm not really sure why you would be playing the game. It's really not worth it in my opinion and even the option to do so, you may as well play the game to collect them to challenge yourself. Get yourself into the idea to work hard to see what needs to be unlocked. Hoodies - 500 Coins Red Purple Brown Green Cyan Violet Blue Magenta That's it. If I can find out what the other item is, I'll post it here. Maybe not spoil it for a bit for others if they really want to find out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Obstacles ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview of the Obstacles - To avoid by side-stepping Zombie Bench Sign - Stop Sign - Danger Sign (!) Cars Police Offer Trash Cans/Trash Can Stacks of Tires Street Lamp - To jump over to avoid Tree Stump Traffic Cone Rock Explanations Obstacles - To avoid by side-stepping Zombie There are three or four different types of zombies and they all move the same, so there's not much change in how to avoid them, other then stepping aside. Bench Avoid these completely by running pass them. Can be knocked down if Soulja Boy hits himself on them or tries to side step towards them. Signs Signs to avoid. A nice idea of the game offering realism is that you can get behind the sign and continue on but it can be confusing, because if you swipe to early, Soujla will hit the sign and it's game over. Two different sign variations. - Stop Sign Your typical stop sign. Very common. I wouldn't think Soulja Boy will stop for this sign in his game. - Danger Sign (!) A triangle sign with an exclamation mark with a red border. For some reason and I'm not sure why, this is a street sign from Europe. Not sure if they are usually found in America and I say this because of the red border. The sign are usually found across England if you can find them, so I wonder why that's in the game. Cars The cars in the game aren't your ordinary cars. They are toon cars just for decoration. Some cars are parked and don't move while other cars take a stroll, heading to or away from Soulja Boy. They're fictional cars with no4 identity. Police Officer A police officer who stands on the sidewalk and street. Don't want to be running and bumping into him. All the police officers have a moustache, not sure where the diversity went on them but at least you'll notice it the same class of characters not to bump into and to try to avoid. Trash Cans/Trash Can Anything as street as a trash can. Either a single trash can or a few trash cans grouped together. Don't want to be bumping into them a lot. Stacks of Tires Someone abandons a set of tires on the street. Street Lamp A very old fashioned stylish 1960s street lamp. Avoid these or run into them, knocked down in style. To jump over to avoid There's not that much items to look out for. There is a good time to jump over. Tree Stump Someone has laid down some very clean cut wooden tree stumps on the street. Would feel so wrong running into them. You jump over these to continue. Traffic Cone Some orange street cones. No road works in the game but traffic cones laid out to avoid. Jump over these. Rock Some rocks sat or grown out of the street. Adds a very apocalypstic feel to the game with the rocks stuck out of the street. You jump over these. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- End ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to Soulja Boy and Mickey Lacoste for making this endless runner. It's fun enough to spend some time, away offline while I'm travelling to pass the time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 91210 Copyright 2019 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
