Possum's World of Mayhem Tutorial Version 1.0 June 30th, 2019 Please note that the following text represents only my personal opinion at the time of writing. Updates to the game may render my comments obsolete, so use with caution. Direct all requested changes (and *only* changes) to americanpossum@yahoo.com . Questions and comments should be discussed on the official World of Mayhem Discord channel instead, since I do not have the time to personally answer everyone's questions and I made this guide purely so I wouldn't be typing the same answers over and over again [cough cough]. Terminology First, we need to go over some terminology that the game doesn't explain very well. * Rarity (Common, Rare, and Epic): A toon's rarity determines how many pieces is required to unlock the toon. Commons require only 10 pieces, rares require 50 pieces, while epics require 100 pieces. Rarity also affect how much the toon's stats increase for every level up and rank up. A three star common is not very different from a three star epic, but a seven star epic will stomp a seven star common into the ground. * Rank: How many stars are on the toon's picture, ranging from one to seven. These determine the base stats for the toon, with more stars giving the toon more stats. The required pieces for each star go 10, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 1500. The new ranking system has added fractional ranks in between each star indicated by white glowing stars instead of solid orange stars, and lets you slowly increase the power of your toons rather than having to wait to collect 1500 pieces before giving you a power increase. * Level: Acts as a multiplier for the toon's base stats, thus epic and rares benefit more from leveling up versus commons. You need to collect XP Potions in order to level up toons. * Stat Up: Attack up, defense up, or speed up. These are shown with orange icons over the toons, and you can press and hold the icons to get an explanation of their effects. Contary to what the game actually says, each icon multiplies the original stat by 1.1, so a toon with a base attack of 100 with five attack ups will have an effective attack of 1.1^5 = 161%, not 150%. * Stat Down: The opposite of stat ups, shown with red icons. These multiply the original stat by 0.9. * Special Stats: Counter chance, critical chance, dodge chance, sure dodge, sure critical, and so forth. These also come in up and down versions, and use blue or purple icons. * Buff/Positive Effect: Difference language for the same thing. These include all stat ups and special stat ups in addition to heal over time, taunt, and hidden. * Debuff/Negative Effect: All stat downs and special stat downs in addition to damage over time. Note that chill is a special negative effect used by Summit toons and has its own perculiar effects. For example, Elf Daffy's flip debuff skill does not work on chilly, although Scarecrow and Barber can still cleanse them. * Heal over Time: Each icon restores 10% of this toon's health at the start of every turn. * Damage over Time: Each icon does 25% of the attacker's base attack at the start of this toon's turn. Note that this is calculated when actual damage is done and not the point when it is inflicted, so you can reduce damage by putting attack downs on the attacker. * Remove/Cleanse: Remove this effect from this toon. * Flip/Convert: Change the effect to its opposite. For example, an attack down becomes an attack up. Special In-Jokes: * Win a Leaderboard by One Point: to pull a Jesper * Wait Until the Last Half Hour of a Tournament to Join a Leaderboard and Win: to pull a Shizz Tips for Starting the Game * Finish your daily quests and star crates every day, as they are the easiest methods of gaining XP to level up and give you about 50 gems per day in addition to three daily tickets. In order to get the 75 brawl stars needed, all you have to do is to choose the crate that will give you the least amount of trophies and press auto while watching TV, so that's about fifteen minutes worth of work there. * Make sure to login every three hours (or if you're clever, once every six hours right at the time when the crate appears to get two crates at once) to get the free crate under offers in the store. It's 10 more energy that you can use to farm illudium, XP potions, or toon pieces. * Choose four toons to concentrate on as your main team. Don't waste resources on other toons unless you need them for an event. * You can get extra pieces through level up each toon's house and tasking them. Be sure to get your top four toons' houses to level 10 for the best chance at extra pieces. Do *NOT* task epic toons when you're starting out, since they only give two pieces most of the time. Build up a good team of common or rare toons first, and wait to get epic pieces through events. Task epics only when they're very close to the next rank. * Always do the bare minimum needed in order to finish your daily quests. Save all of your illudium, golden tickets, and daily tickets for events that give points for collecting toon pieces. They are wasted in normal play. * Scopely's chances are never an even spread, so if you see 3-100, it actually means that you're going to get 3 97% of the time, 4 3% of the time, and 50 or 100 0.001% of the time. Always expect the lowest number to avoid disappointment. * Join a good alliance that uses Discord so that you can get tips from older players and annoucements from the official Discord. You'll also get some extra pieces and gems from alliance crates. Just make sure that you pull your own weight or else you might get kicked out. * Save your gems for golden tickets and opening low timer crates. Do not use them for other purposes unless those purposes will result in more golden tickets. * Take the time to understand how stealing crates work. Crates can come from ACME Delivery or from brawl. Once they're in a bank, other players can steal them from you as long as the timer is higher than 59m 59s. You have about a fifteen minute window for each brawl, so most players will start a battle after 1h 14m and wait until below 1h to finish the battle, thus ensuring that the opponent has no chance to revenge. Revenging multiple times is useless, and gemming a crate is also a waste except for 24h crates that only have two hours remaining on them. Do not be afraid to steal crates from other players. If they're good enough, they'll just take it back from you. If they're not, then you'll encourage them to get better. * In the same manner, if you see a 1h 17m crate in brawl, don't start the battle immediately, but wait until 1h 13m to press the attack button and then wait 14 minutes to finish the fight. Using this method, you can steal crates from players much more powerful than your defense team by not even giving them the chance to revenge in the first place. The only way that you'll lose is if someone else steals the crate before you (credit to Sil). * The way the auto button works on offense is to consistently press whichever the rightmost available action is, so some toons work much better on auto than others. Healers especially suffer from this since they will heal right at the beginning of a battle when everyone is at full health. The crate defense AI is even more stupid. It simply picks a random target and presses a random button. Due to this, you will be able to steal crates from defenses 40% above your own power level if you have a good team, while your own crate defenses will lose to players 40% below their power. Once you get to a high enough level, *everyone* can steal everyone else's crates, so having a good defense is not important. What really counts is whether you'll be around at the one hour mark to revenge your crate, so plan your schedule accordingly and set timers if you need to. * When choosing your defensive teams, consider how many abilities each toon has and how that can fit into your team. For example, Chamberlain, the best healer on manual, is also one of the worst healers on defense since he has four abilities and thus has only a 25% chance of healing your team on any given turn. If you're going for a critical based team, Dr. Dawgstein seems great since he gives sure critical to the whole team, but he only has a 33% chance to do so and for only one turn whereas Outlaw Sylvester has a 50% chance to give the whole team an 80% critical rate for two turns. Because their abilities activate automatically, some of the best crate defenders are Foghorn, Monster Foghorn, Scarlet, Barnyard Dawg, and Vampire. How you personally play and how the defense AI plays are completely different, so take into account exactly how stupid the AI is and adjust accordingly. * Event leaderboards are normally composed of 5000 players each based upon the time that the player scores the first point in the event. Whenever a leaderboard fills up, another leaderboard is created and the next 5000 players get thrown into it. Only the top five player tend to get decent rewards, so if you want to get a good leaderboard without a bunch of people using their credit cards to compete, it can be helpful to wait a bit after an event starts to actually start doing the event. Of course, spenders also can wait a while to login as well, so your luck may vary. * Don't farm toon pieces through the campaign unless you really need that toon. It's better to farm illudium since 30 illudium can give you 80 to 100 toon pieces once you have access to the nuclear reatomizer at level 40. They probably won't be the toon that you want, but since every toon is useful sooner or later during an event, it's more efficient to use your energy on illudium rather than toon pieces directly. * If you're not a big spender, don't spend a lot of resources on new events, as everyone and their dog will be busy going for the top of the leaderboards. Wait for repeat events to come along where the spenders have already gotten a seven star toon and are unlikely to spend more money to compete for leaderboards. * You get special rewards for completing a campaign battle for the first time, so instead of finishing the whole campaign immediately, save it for when you need to complete an event quest that requires you to get toon pieces or illudium. It'll make things a *lot* easier on you when Scopely throws out a "get 400 illudium in 48 hours" quest. * Which trophy range you should be in is determined by your style of play. If you don't steal many crates, go up to Disintegrator for the daily league rewards. If you like to steal crates, then stay in a lower league where more players can be found and not many players will gem your crates. Not all trophy ranges are the same. For example, Gold 4 and Dynamite 10 tend to have more players hanging around than other ranges simply because they're the starting points for tier 6 and tier 7 crates respectively. If you're having problem finding low timer crates, try moving to another trophy range. * If you don't have a lot of a certain resource, don't use them right away, but save them for an event when you might /really/ need them. Right now, the main limiters for most people are formulas, gold, fine boosters, and fine dynamite. This game is all about resource management, so don't get tempted by the here and now. * Very few toons really benefit from tune-up 30, so you can stop at 28 or 29 in most cases. Only Friar, Lunar, and a couple of other toons have a tune-up 30 that's worth all of those fine boosters and formulas. * If you drop too many trophies in a single day (about 3% of your starting trophy count), you'll find that you can't lose any more trophies due to an anti-dropping system that the developers have decided to implement because they are evil... er... were tired of players easily moving up and down to grab crates from different ranges. If you start getting +0 trophies whenever you lose a battle, wait until the next reset time at UTC 0700 before you do any more brawling, otherwise you might find yourself in Disintegrator before too long. General Tips for Battles * Normally, the best strategy is to go for the toon with the least health in order to get a four on three battle going where you have the advantage. Exceptions are made for especially dangerous toons such as Wile E., Daffy, Outlaw Sylvester, and so forth. * When fighting dodge toons, either stun them or use damage over time since they can't dodge its effects. Salesduck is fine at lower levels, but gets killed quickly at higher levels. * When fighting taunt toons, bring someone who can remove taunt like Granny, Penelope, Roadrunner, Western Type Hero, or so forth. Alternatively, bring a team with area attacks and simply wear them down. * When fighting hidden toons, use Granny or Roadrunner to remove their hidden. Area attack teams work fine as well. * When fighting debuff toons, use Elf Daffy to flip the debuffs or Chamberlain to remove them. * When fighting buff toons, use Granny or Roadrunner to remove their buffs. * When fighting counter toons, use Granny or Roadrunner to remove them, Leopold to steal them, or simply stun them. * When going against Bard, use an area attack team or bring Scarecrow along to make him slower. * When fighting area attack teams, use a counter team to let them kill themselves. Toon Profiles These are not meant to be detailed statistical analyses, but simply a quick glance at a toon's strengths and weaknesses as determined by my opinion. If you really want all of the details, please talk to Rynth or Roadseeker on the official Discord, as they have the experience to clarify almost any question that you might have. Almost every toon has a useful place in a team, but putting the right toons together will magnify their individual abilities to make a team more powerful than the number shown on the select toons screen. Pay attention to what other players use and try them out to see if they fit your own style of play. I personally am too lazy to do anything other than to press auto, so I normally stick with my speed down team of Scarecrow, Handmaiden, Roadrunner, and Bard to beat up other players. * Forest Worth investing: Bugs, Daffy. o Bugs: Your normal average everyday bunny. He has an area attack, he stuns Elmers and Daffys, and he inflicts attack down. There's nothing really special about him, but nothing mediocre either. He's the first epic that you get, so it makes sense to work on him a bit before you get some other toons to replace him with. o Daffy (event toon): One of the best attackers in the game, he's fast, hits hard, has an uncounterable and undodgable attack in Hypno-Duck, and shines when combined with other ducks since he gives them +30% critical rate. He does tend to be a bit fragile though, so make sure that you have a good defender to protect him with. o Elmer: He's slow, easy to take out, and his lifesteal doesn't do much to help him survive. It's not worthy putting resources into him except for the Duck Season event where he's a required toon. o Fishercat Sylvester Jr.: He's cute and is a good healer, but is easily taken out because of his low HP. I would suggest not putting too many resources into him. o Hunter Yosemite Sam: His bluster attack can be somewhat useful in the right team, but by the time that you get him to where he's a decent attacker, he will have long been passed by other toons. Don't waste any resources on him. o Marvin Fudd: Your first attacker that can actually do some damage. Unfortunately, he has such low HP that he'll get taken out early in a real fight. He's not worth it in the long run. o Scout Foghorn: His common stats limit his potential, but his stun is a nice ability that makes him more useful than some other common defenders. o Scout Granny: She's probably your best starting healer since she's easy to get pieces for, can take a couple of hits, has an area attack, and auto-heals when an ally gets below 50% health. Her common stats prevent her from being useful later on, but she's quite useful early in the game. o Scout Sylvester: He's essential a common verson of the real Sylvester, who is an epic toon. His basic attack can become decent at high tune-ups, but why waste resources on him in the first place? * WB Studios Worth Investing: Vampire, Monster Foghorn, Elf Daffy, Queso, Western Type Hero. o Cowboy Sylvester (event toon): His dodge taunt can be a bit annoying, but since it only lasts one turn, opponents will simply twiddle their thumbs for a bit and resume the onslaught when he's done. He does have an undodgeable attack, but his rare stats make him a weak defender and a weak attacker. There is not much reason to invest in him. o Cowgirl Granny (event toon): Her major use is to act as a counter against desert or farm toons, while her other abilities involve healing allies and giving them critical chance up, counter chance up, attack ups, and defense ups, especially permanent critical chance ups whenever an ally gets a critical hit. Her rare stats keep her from being too useful in the long run, but her abilities can still be great in the right team. o Dr. Dawgstein (event toon): He has an area attack with stun, helps his team by giving them sure criticals, and has a basic that can't be dodged. This is balanced by his rare stats and low health, making him easy to take out if unprotected. He's useful in the right situation, but overall not a great toon. o Elf Daffy (event toon): His heal is practically useless since he heals for so little compared to other healers, but his flip all debuffs ability can really change the tide of battle against a debuff team. His other abilities give random buffs, which can be good if you gain sure dodge, but horrible if he happens to give himself or another support taunt. When you use him, it's like playing Russian roulette. Sometimes you'll be fine, and sometimes he'll sabotage your own team without a second thought. o Holiday Bugs (event toon): One of my favorite toons before the update, he used to stun any enemy who got a critical hit, meaning that he could stun the whole enemy team by himself if conditions were right. Now that he can only stun on critical once per battle, he's become a mid-tier toon saved only by his epic stats. o K'Chutha Sam: Most players got him pretty easily through spinning the Mega Wheel. He's a decent attacker, but horrible defender, so be wary using him for crate defense. His rocket seems useful, but he's limited by his speed and low HP. Never use his taunt unless you're sure that he'll survive. o Monster Foghorn (event toon): A momentum based toon who is limited by his rare stats. He is useful because he gets two permanent defense ups every time he uses his basic, but he is also slow and his lifesteal attack doesn't do much to heal him, meaning that he is best when combined with Vampire. He's useful on crate defense due to his auto-taunt, but he definitely won't last as long as the epic defenders. o Queso (event toon): He used to be much more useful before his dodge was changed, but he can still be the best healer in the game if you combine him with toons that will give him stat ups like Foghorn or Gridiron. Without his dodge, he's rather easy to take out. He has the ability to steal buffs, which is normally a nice thing, but if he steals an enemy's taunt, you can kiss him good-bye in the next turn. Like Chamberlain, he is much better on manual rather than auto. o Rocket Coyote (event toon): He specializes in damage over time, which means that he pairs well with Hazel or Pepe. However, he doesn't do much damage and heavily relies on others to have already inflicted damage over time, meaning that he's more of an extra help than a real threat. o Rocket Sylvester: He inflicts silence and pairs with coyote toons, but his real utility is giving cat and coyote allies a 35% chance to resist any stat downs. As such, he's a really specialized toon useful in a really specialized situation... definitely not a toon that you would likely invest in unless you already have every other toon maxed out. o Scrooge (event toon): He actually has some pretty solid stats for a rare, but suffers from the same problem as Queso in that if he steals taunt, he's a goner. His main purpose is anti-stun, but he has a nice area attack and can give your team special stats such as criticals and dodges. Unfortunately, since you don't get to choose which stats you get and how many you get, it's up to the game whether you'll sink or float. o Showbiz Bugs: You'll only have him if you're an iPhone user. He removes debuffs from taunters, inflicts stat downs, and his basic attack give speed ups to the whole team. Unfortunately, with his common stats, he'll get killed long before he gets a chance to do anything useful. o Showbiz Daffy: You'll only have him if you're an Android user. His major use is stunning enemies and then attacking them for permanent stat ups. Since he's also a common though, he won't survive long enough to use those stat ups. o Vampire Ralph (event toon): He's fast, he has a self-healing area attack, and he gives all other monsters +20% lifesteal. In addition, he also hides and heals himself when he gets below 50% health. He really works well on a team with other monsters like Gossamer, Monster Foghorn, and K'Chutha Sam, but he doesn't do too badly by himself either. o Western Type Hero (event toon): One of the more bulky attackers around, he's a momentum based toon who need a couple of turns to get his criticals up and then starts doing good damage, inflicts attack down, and removes turn meter at the same time. He also has an attack which can remove five buffs at a time, which is always handy to have around. If you can protect him, he is one of the better rare attackers to have around. * Avalooney Worth Investing: Almost every Avalooney toon is good except for Royal Page, which means that you'll need a lot of flower crowns throughout the game. I would recommend choosing crowns whenever you get a daily challenge that provides them. o Black Knight Sam: The best single attacker in the game, his incredible damage is tempered by the fact that he is so darn slow. He does have immunity to silence and stun, and can cleanse debuffs off of himself with his basic attack, but he's easy to kill unless you can give him some protection. o Chamberlain Porky: By far the most versatile healer in the game, he does it all. Heal himself, heal teammates, give buffs, remove debuffs... he's wonderful on manual, and horrible on auto since he has so many abilities to choose from. His versatility also makes him a poor crate defender, as you're never quite sure when he is actually going to heal your team. As an attacker, he has no competition. o Daffy Hood: The epic that you'll get pieces for by completing quests, and thus pretty much everyone will have him at a decent rank. He's actually a very good toon, as he's fast, does good damage, has an area attack, and steals stat ups and special stat ups. The one thing that he doesn't do is to steal taunt, hidden, or heal over time, but he's a solid toon in every way. o Friar Porky: He has great HP and defense, and at full tune is immune to every debuff except for defense down. His one great weakness is that his taunt only lasts one turn, which makes him a liability on crate defense. If you're going up against a debuff team though, he works wonderfully along with Joe Monday, Elf Daffy, and Gossamer. o Gossamer (event toon): He's only a rare, but since he heals every time an ally receives a buff and gains attack up and critical up every time an ally receives a debuff, he punches above his weight by far. He's a bit slow, but his attacks remove turn meter to make up for it. He shines in combination with Vampire or any toon that gives his team a buff such as Chamberlain or Porky. o Grand Duke Sylvester (event toon): He used to be stronger before the update, but he's still annoying since he will counter any area attack, and he has an area attack of his own. All you really have to do is to stun him to take him out, but if your opponent didn't bring a stun toon, then you can get free hits in without fear. o Handmaiden Granny: She's very easy to take out since she's a common, but she has one of the most powerful attacks in the game in her bell that instantly inflicts three attack downs and three speed downs for two turns on the whole enemy team. She's not much of a healer, but her bell by itself makes her extremely useful, especially if combined with Scarecrow's passive -20% speed down. o King Bugs: He has some of the best stats in the game, but his abilities are extremely limited. He can stun and give an enemy taunt for one turn... and that's about it. If his give taunt ability lasted for two turns, he would be great for crate defense, but one turn is not enough to really make a difference since your opponent can simply taunt before you and force you to target his taunter. He also self-heals on every debuff, but since those debuffs still affect him anyways, all it does is to make him the last target for a debuff team. Overall, he's an extremely situational toon. o Lunar Petunia (event toon): Lunar is what I call an endgame toon (Roadrunner and Granny are the others). That is, when you can use her abilities correctly, she completely changes how you play the game. She's easy to counter with Granny or Roadrunner, but if you don't have someone to remove buffs and she gets going, she is a pain to deal with once she gets to her third Lunar Blessing and starts giving herself five attack ups, defense ups, and speed ups. She doesn't really do anything else since her attacks don't do much damage, but she works beautifully in a stall team that gives her time to work her magic and create an unbeatable team. o Merlin Sam: He doesn't really do much damage by himself, but his special ability is that he has an area attack with no recovery time at all, meaning that he can use it every single turn. He shines when combined with Hazel or in speed down teams since he has the only attack in the game that instantly reduces every enemy's turn meter to zero. Just be careful to protect him, as he's a bit fragile. o Pepe Le Bard: By far the best healer in the game if you like playing on auto since he automatically heals every turn unless he's stunned. His debuff ability is nothing to laugh at either, as three attack downs and three defense downs can cripple a comparable team. His only downfall is that his HP is rather low, but that's not a problem if you can keep him protected. o Royal Page: His one useful ability is to remove all buffs when an enemy taunts, but since the update, he doesn't remove taunt itself anymore, making him rather useless. o Scarlet Pumpernickel (event toon): He does great damage, hides himself, and automatically hides an ally when that ally's health gets below 50%. One of the best single attackers in the game. o Siegfried Elmer (event toon): About the only useful Elmer in the game other than perhaps Mountie, he has good HP, an area attack, a stun, and a self-healing taunt. He works well in combination with Valkyrie, but can stand by himself if needed. o Valkyrie Bugs (event toon): The best overall support in the game, he (just because Bugs puts on a bronze corset doesn't magically change his gender) removes debuffs, takes away turn meter from the whole enemy team, inflicts a four turn silence, and randomly gives an ally a whole bunch of stat ups and special stat ups at the beginning of every turn. He's extremely annoying to face, and even more annoying when hidden behind a good defender. o Witch Hazel (event toon): One of the best area attackers in the game, she is quite versatile with two separate area attacks to choose from and her voodoo ability which converts three buffs from the attacker every time that she is hit. She is a bit slow, but can wreck havoc on the enemy given time to act. * Town Worth Investing: Photographer, Gridiron, Porky, Chef Porky. o Barber Bugs: He's not a great healer, but he is one of two toons in the game (Yeti is the other) with an area attack for a basic, making him a good annoyance for the enemy team. He also gives the whole team a stat up every turn, making him a great complement to Gossamer or any toon that benefits from a stat up. o Chef Porky: He's a percentage based healer, meaning that he is just as useful at two stars as he is at seven stars when it comes to healing. His other ability of interest is that he gives your whole team +10% maximum health, meaning that if you put him on a team with Foghorn, Sheepdog, and Gridiron, he will be a great asset. o Gridiron Gossamer: One of the most useful defenders in the game, he flips speed downs, removes turn meter with his basic, gives your team four defense ups, and is guaranteed first move in a battle. All of these abilities combined with his impressive stats make him a great crate defender. o Lola (event toon): Her stats are the same as Bugs, so she does decent damage, but her abilities are too random to make a consistent difference. Her primary use is as an anti-stun toon, but since people rarely run around with a stun team, her usefulness is very limited. o Officer Hector: He can be a small annoyance with his counters, but common defenders simply lack the stats to make a difference in a fight. He does have immunity to damage over time and attack down, but considering that you can simply take him out with basic attacks, he's nothing to worry about. o Officer Yosemite: Not as useless as he might seem at first, he has a stun, gives your team four defense ups for two turns, and automatically heals 20% whenever an ally counters. He fits in well with Sheepdog, Outlaw Foghorn, or Yosemite Sam, so consider investing in him if you use those toons. If you don't, then don't bother with him. o Penelope: She's a bit annoying with her counter on every dodge, but that's about all that she does. She does have a remove taunt ability, but since it has a two turn cooldown, it's nothing to worry about if she's a crate defender. Her stats are pretty good; it's just that she doesn't really do anything that impresses you. o Pepe Le Pew: He's a good area attacker early in the game, but loses his usefulness later on due to his meddling stats. He could be useful combined with Hazel, Rocket Coyote, and Rocket Sylvester, but there are far better toons to invest in. o Photographer Sylvester: One of the most useful common toons in the game, he's easy to get pieces for, hits hard, inflicts speed down on the whole enemy team, and has a stun. He's definitely worthy of being an early game investment. o Porky: He has some of the best stats for a healer in the game, gains defense from Daffy teammates, and gives out random stat ups. He works very well beside any epic Daffy toon. o Salesduck Daffy: He's quite useful against dodge toons since he can put sure critical on himself and then attack for good damage every time an enemy toon dodges an area attack. Unfortunately, since he's a common, he's rather easy to take out, and useless for defense. * Farm Worth Investing: Scarecrow, Foghorn. o Barnyard Dawg: He's essentially a rare version of Scarlet with his auto-hide of a teammate. He doesn't do much damage, but can be a good early game toon since it's easy to get pieces for him. His rivalry with Foghorn adds a little bit of damage, but Foghorn has so much HP to begin with that it doesn't really make a difference. o Farmer Hector: Common defenders are pretty much useless, and Farmer Hector is no exception. His abilities actually aren't bad, but his low stats mean that he'll quickly get killed once you're past the early game. o Farmer Porky: His best ability is giving your whole team 18% ignore defense, but he's a poor healer and his basic that gives two attack ups is too random to use effectively. There is no reason to use him unless you have a R&D that rewards heal over times. o Farmer Petunia: She is actually somewhat useful in that she gives her team +30% defense, which makes a big difference if you use Foghorn, Sheepdog, Gridiron, or Desperado. She removes attacks ups from enemies, gives defense up to a random ally, and heals the first ally that falls below 50% health. She's not great, but she can be useful for teams with multiple defenders. o Foghorn (event toon): Everyone's favorite tank in the game, he can be a liability at four and five stars, but starts to shine at six and seven stars. His main use is that he automatically taunts at the start of every battle, and his high HP and self heal on taunt can keep him alive for a very long time. He also has a sure critical move and gives defense ups to the whole team, but generally, he just stands there and takes hits. You can easily counter him by bringing Granny along to remove his taunt or using an area attack team, but he is still a nuisance regardless. Paired with Bard and two area attackers, he's wonderful on auto. o Henery Hawk (event toon): He is a curious toon in that he works wonderfully as a hard counter to Foghorn, but his Mighty Chomp ability has such a long cooldown that if your enemy team doesn't taunt, he becomes a one-hit wonder. His basic does inflict permanent defense down, but that is really all that he has. Outside of attacking Foghorn teams or teams with multiple taunters, he has very little usefulness. o Miss Prissy (event toon): She needs a little bit of setup, but she is a perfect complement to Foghorn or Sheepdog. She does very little damage initially, but if you get her to full tuneup, she gains sure critical for two turns every time she gains an attack up, and then her protective attacks start becoming more than an annoyance. Pair her with Foghorn, Sylvester, and a healer for best results. o Ralph Wolf: He's a rare version of Wile E. who's useless for crate defense since he will attack about once in three turns. In the right team, he can do decent damage with his criticals, but you'll quickly discard him for the real Wile E. o Scarecrow: Probably my favorite common toon in the game, all he does is stand there automatically giving the enemy team a -20% speed penalty. This cannot be stolen, is not affected by stun, and ends only when he is killed. He has a 30% dodge that's not too useful but can come in handy sometimes, automatically removes one debuff from your team every turn, and has an ability that removes 50% turn meter in addition to giving three defense downs, making him extremely useful agains tanks. His primary purpose is in giving your team the first turn so that you can setup buffs, debuffs, stuns, and anything else that's useful before the enemy has a chance to act. His actual battle power is low, but his usefulness is not to be questioned. o Sheepdog (event toon): He has the highest HP in the game, but is incredibly slow as well. He does good damage with his counters, but is easily countered himself by being stunned. I find him to be useful only in certain teams. * Desert Worth Investing: Barkeep Sheepdog, Desperado, Wile E. Coyote, Outlaw Foghorn, Outlaw Sylvester, Roadrunner, Yosemite Sam. o Barkeep Sheepdog: Only the second Sheepdog toon in the game, his main ability of interest is being able to inflict speed down to the whole enemy team for two turns while attackers will receive two extra speed downs, making him useful for a slow team. He also heals the lowest health teammate to full and gives them three stat ups, which isn't bad at all. He seems like a cross between Handmaiden and Chamberlain, but with the epic stats to enable him to take a beating. It should be fun to see him in action with Foghorn, Sheepdog, Gridiron, and Desperado when he heals them to full in one turn after the enemy has spent so much time getting their health low. o Cowboy Bugs: His main ability is flipping stat ups from enemies, but he doesn't do much damage himself due to his common stats, and serves merely as an annoyance rather than a real threat. o Desperado (event toon): He is a unique defender in that instead of taunting, he hides everyone else instead, making anti-taunt toons such as Outlaw Sylvester, Outlaw Foghorn, Barnyard Dawg, and Penelope useless against him. With his passive increase for hidden allies, he can have +80% defense when he hides allies, so he's tough, has a stun, and heals himself on teammates' critical hits. Definitely worth investing in. o Masked Avenger: He has decent abilities and can inflict silence for two turns, but his rare stats make him a bit slow and easy to kill. o Outlaw Foghorn: He specializes in giving your team +80% counter, which is very useful going against area attack teams since they will basically kill themselves. He himself doesn't do much since he's a common and does very little damage even with his passives and bonuses, but is extremely useful when you find yourself going up again Merlin, Hazel, Hood, or any other area attacker. o Outlaw Sylvester: He attacks taunters, but his main use is in giving his team +80% critical for two turns. He turns great attackers into overwhelming attackers, and is best paired with Daffy, Hood, Scarlet, and others. His stats aren't great since he's only a rare, but he amplifies others so much that he's worth keeping around. o Roadrunner (event toon): An endgame toon and one of the most useful toons in the game, he starts out by simply giving your team speed ups, but at tuneup 29, his hurricane ability removes *every single buff* from the enemy team. Granny's heals? Gone. Desperado's hidden? Gone. Gridiron's defense ups? Gone? Gossamer's attack ups and criticals? Gone. He counters so many toons that it's ridiculous to have him around. Add to that his 30% dodge rate and he's a great asset for any team. o Settler Granny: She's not a great healer, but she can remove debuffs from allies, gives defense ups, and has a small area attack with her cannon. Useful in the right teams, but not great overall. o Sheriff Porky: His main use is in giving your team +20% counter and critical, but he's not a good healer, and his common stats mean that he'll get killed pretty quickly. He can be a good complement in the right team, but it's best to choose another healer. o Wildcard Wolf: He's essentially a rare version of Wile E. that doesn't automatically gain 10% attack at the beginning of every turn, but depends on your team getting criticals to give him permanent stat ups. He can also remove a single buff, give criticals to allies, and critical downs to enemies. He seems like he might be decent in a stall team, but why not simply use Wile E. in the first place since Wile E. doesn't need to depend on criticals to be powerful? o Wile E. Coyote (event toon): One of the most dangerous toons in the game, he gains +10% attack for every turn, meaning that after five turns, he is at 161% attack and after ten turns, he is at 259% attack. Add that to his basic attack having a 30% chance to do 4x damage, and he can oneshot most toons if he gets lucky. His other two moves are useful as well as they take away 50% turn meter and silence or stuns. If you combine him with Scarecrow and Lunar, he gets extremely deadly. o Yosemite Sam: He does good damage, has permanent counters, has an area attack, and does +50% damage against rabbits. A great all around toon to have in your team. * City Worth Investing: Granny, Hector, Sylvester, Chauffeur, Leopold. o Chauffeur Porky: He has horrible stats and does little damage at all, but he acts as an amplifier to the rest of your team by making them faster. If he has good teammates, he can be a real nuisance, but if his teammates aren't very powerful, then he won't do much. Still, he is one of the best commons around, and worth investing in since it's so easy to get pieces for him. o Granny: Many people have a misconception about Granny being a healer. She does give your team heal over times that last for 99 turns, but the heals themselves can be removed or stolen by so many toons that it's not very useful once you get past the early game. Granny's main use is to remove buffs from enemies, and her main advantage over Roadrunner is that she can do so immediately rather than waiting for three turns like Roadrunner has to, meaning that she can immediately stop Foghorn's taunt, Desperado's hiddens, Outlaw Sylvester's criticals, or Outlaw Foghorn's counters. She herself has great stats and can survive quite a few hits in addition to automatically healing on every taunt or hidden, meaning that she can help out almost every team in some way. o Hector: He is an excellent toon who gains permanent defense up with his basic and has an area attack that takes away turn meter. His only downfall comes from being a rare instead of an epic, and thus doesn't have the stats to match up again Foghorn or Desperado, although being paired with Granny can help a bit. o Joe Monday: He's a common, but his machine gun can do a good bit of damage to its criticals, and he is immune to all debuffs except those passively inflicted at the start of a battle, meaning that he does great again debuff teams. He's easily killed though, so make sure to protect him well. o Leopold: He is not a good defender by himself, but his ability to steal all buffs from an enemy makes him extremely useful when facing Grand Duke, Lunar, or anyone else who specializes in buffs. o Mr. Sam: He's actually one of the better common defenders with his ability to gain a defense up every time that he is hit and then heal himself with them, but common defenders are still useless once you get past the early game. o Penelope Couture (event toon): The jury's still out on her, but general consensus seems to be that she's about as useful as Holiday Bugs is, which is to say, not too useful for an epic tank when you can use Foghorn, Desperado, Gridiron, or Sheepdog instead. She does give the whole team dodge up, but only for two turns at the beginning of the fight. Her area attack with turn meter removal and attack downs is decent, but not enough to push her into greatness. o Sylvester: He's a good attacker who specializes in hiding other attackers and giving them attack up. Paired with Granny and Hector, he becomes even more powerful. o Tweety (event toon): Tweety is interesting in that he doesn't attack much by himself. Instead, his attacks are based upon the basic attacks of his teammates, meaning that pairing him with Yeti, Barber, Black Knight, Daffy, and so forth are the best options. He does have good stats as an epic, but his strength belongs to his team, so put a good team around him. The one bad thing about him is that you don't get to choose which ally attacks or which enemy they attack, so your results may vary from fight to fight. o Waiter Elmer: His main use is as a weaker Granny to remove buffs from the enemy team. However, unlike Granny, he gets killed very easily, so his usefulness is quite limited. * Space Worth Investing: Astronaut Sylvester, Astronaut Hector, Duck Dodgers, Space Cadet. o Astronaut Hector: He seems rather plain until you get him to high tuneups where his attacks start inflicting permanent defense downs, and he can do so with an area attack as well - the only toon in the game with this ability. He also has a cannon to remove buffs, making him one of the more useful commons to have around. o Astronaut Sylvester: He gains sure dodge every time that he is hit, meaning that he effectively has twice the HP. He also has an area attack that steals buffs, making him very annoying if you don't have a stun toon to neutralize his dodges. He's a decent crate defender when paired with a good healer. o Duck Dodgers: Not as powerful as Daffy, Scarlet, or Hood, but still useful for the Space campaign. At high levels, his Secret Weapon can do decent damage. o Martian Bugs: His main use is to hide and wait for area attacks to hit him so that he can counter for bonus damage, but if you have to use a setup like this in the first place, you're doing something wrong. Luckily, he has an area attack which inflicts 2-3 attack down, which in combination with Space Cadet's ability means that you can pretty much keep the enemy team from doing too much damage to you. He can also silence for two turns, which works well during the campaign against Dodgers and Marvin. Except for the campaign though, he's not worth it when there are so many better toons to use. o Marvin: An epic version of Marvin Fudd, which is to say that he has good attack, but is easily taken out if you don't protect him. There are much better attackers in the game. o Space Cadet: He is actually pretty good after the update, as he is a taunter who can heal the team as well as inflicting 4-7 attack downs on the whole enemy team. You'll need him for the Space Campaign, and his friendship with Dodgers makes him a bit more powerful. o Space Explorer Granny: Useful for dropping trophies, and little else. Her main purpose is to hide and use her rocket to snipe, but she does so little damage that it doesn't matter. o Witch Lezah: Don't even bother with her, as she does little damage, heals little, and generally doesn't do much at all no matter how much you invest in her. * Summit Worth Investing: Hard to say until everyone gets to a higher level, but Yeti, Yodel, Huntsman Porky, Mountie Elmer, and Climber Granny seem to be good choices so far. The chill/freeze mechanic is so different from the way that other toons perform that it's going to take a while to figure out the best strategy to use for this region. o Climber Granny: She is essentially a mini-Bard in that she can heal every single turn. She doesn't do much other than that, but that's enough to make her useful for the campaign. o Huntsman Porky: Despite being a common, he does pretty good damage against taunters, making him essential for the campaign since Yeti is so hard to take down. He also automatically hides your own taunter when his health gets low, so he's a good complement to have on your team. o Mountain Man Sam: He has an area attack that can inflict 1-3 chilly on the enemy team, but has a long cooldown, limiting its usefulness. His stats as a common attacker are nothing special
either, making him one of the more useless toons for Summit.
o Mountie Elmer: His primary use is to flip debuffs on your own
team, which he does a decent job at. He also gives +50% chilly
resistance and +15% damage against chilled and frozen enemies to
your whole team, which can make a big difference if you're
facing another Summit team. Overall, he seems like a lesser
version of Elf Daffy, but will definitely be useful for the
        Summit campaign.
o Speedskater Coyote (event toon): An unreleased event toon that
no one has, he can instantly freeze a toon and gains 25% turn
meter whenever an enemy is frozen. He also gets +50% damage
against frozen targets, but it's unlikely that he'll be more
useful than Yeti. We'll find out whenever his event comes along.
o Trapper Sylvester: Like other Sylvester toons, his main use
seems to be hide and attack. He has increased critical chance
against chilled enemies, which is nice when combined with other
Summit toons, but is of limited use if he's by himself. His
common stats will also limit his damage.
o Yeti: By far the strongest of the Summit toons, every toon that
attacks him automatically receives chill, and he himself can't
be frozen without unleashing an area attack on the whole enemy
team. On top of that, he can remove chills from his team and
heals them as well. His one weakness is that his basic inflicts
chill on not only the enemy team, but on his own team as well.
As a defender though, he is an unavoidable chill machine.
o Yodel: He automatically inflicts three random stat downs on
every turn, and his attacks add more random stat downs. He also
has an attack that hits two random enemies to chill them.
Overall, his randomness makes him unpredictable along the lines
of Elf Daffy and Scrooge, but his rare status give him a slight
advantage over the common Summit toons.

    Who Does What

In this section, many abilities will have numbers after them. The first
number indicates how many effects you get, while the second number
indicate how many turns the effect will last. Area attacks and special
conditions will be noted in parentheses.

  * Gain means that the toon itself gets the effect.
  * Give means that this toon will give this effect to teammates.
  * Inflict means that this toon will give this effect to enemies.
  * Remove means that this toon will get rid of the effect.
  * Steal means that this toon will take the effect away from an enemy
    and give it to itself.
  * Flip/convert means that this toon will reverse this effect. For
example, an attack up will become an attack down.

Note that all abilities are written at full tune-up. If you're not at
tune-up 30, your abilities may be less than what is below.
