Inside, the pages of the book are engraved with illustrations of shadowy creatures with glowing yellow eyes. The book turns to a pop-up depiction of a young girl and her grandmother in a shining city. The grandmother recites a fairy tale to the scarlet-haired girl) "Long ago, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of light. Everyone loved the light. Then people began to fight over it. They wanted to keep it for themselves. And darkness was born in their hearts. The darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts. It covered everything, and the world disappeared. But small fragments of light survived, in the hearts of children. With these fragments of light, children rebuilt the lost world. It's the world we live in now." (The book turns to a picture of the Keyblade) Voice: Look deep inside your heart. (A page opens revealing a pop-up platform with five emblems adorning it) Voice: This is where your journey begins. Kingdom Hearts Unchained X[chi] (On the platform, they awaken and take a step forward. The five emblems rise from the floor and hover around them. Anguis, the Serpent Leopardos, the Leopard Unicornis, the Unicorn Ursus, the Bear Vulpes, the Fox (A question pulls at the back of their mind) Voice: Which Union does your heart belong to? (They choose. Darkness creeps over the platform headed toward them, swallowing them up. Beneath the ceaseless darkness a light shines. In a flash, the darkness is dispelled upon the platform, leaving the Keyblade wielder with their weapon raised) Voice: The Keyblade holds the power of light--the power to drive away the darkness. (A flash of light from the Keyblade brings them to the Fountain Square of Daybreak Town, where after an altercation with a group of shadowy monsters, they cross paths with a small gray cat, wearing a cape and changepurse) ????????: Pretty scary stuff, huh? But you get an A for effort. (The Keyblade wielder looks a little confused) ????????: You look a little confused. Here's what's going on. Your pursuit of light made you the perfect candidate for a Keyblade wielder. Darkness is spreading and it's up to you to use the weapon to get rid of it, collect light, and in turn save the world. The monster that was just defeated belongs to the darkness and is called a Heartless. These Heartless scour the world searching for hearts, spreading darkness as they go. The Keyblade is an effective weapon against them. I hope this is all sinking in... Anyway, I was assigned by a certain someone to watch over a new Keyblade wielder--you! I'm Chirithy. I'll be supporting you the whole way, teaching you everything you need to know and more. (The wielder smiles) Chirithy: Nice to meet ya! Right now, that Keyblade is just like you--it has room to grow. To unleash its true power, you'll need to use "fragments"-- special Medals that you can set in your Keyblade. Anyway, that's a lot to take in, so why don't you use the Heartless here for some practice? (The wielder makes their way through the 1st District, defeating Heartless and collecting Lux, when in a flash a Foreteller appears before them. The Foreteller stands tall in flowing robes, hiding their face behind a mask) Foreteller: You've managed to tap into the power of the Keyblade. Lesser Heartless won't stand a chance, but in order to defeat stronger foes... (A corridor of darkness opens and a looming and terrible Heartless emerges) Foreteller: ...you must combine your strength with those who share your purpose and aspirations. (The Darkside Heartless peers down at the Keyblade through a mess of tendril- like hair, its yellow eyes devoid of emotion. Six other Keyblade wielders rush in brandishing their Keyblades) Foreteller: Your friends will become your power. (Each of the wielders strike the Darkside and the Heartless is defeated. The Foreteller addresses the wielder as the others stand behind him) Foreteller: There are others who collect the light, but not all of them share the same goal of bringing peace to the world. You must discover who amongst us walks the path of darkness. (The wielder nods. A portal appears and the Foreteller walks through it, leaving Daybreak Town. Later, the wielder is alone with Chirithy) Chirithy: I know this is overwhelming, but darkness waits for no one! In fact, it's found its way to a bunch of other worlds, which need your help. I know a way to these places. Are you ready? (Chirithy points to the Keyblade and motions ahead of the wielder. The wielder aims the Keyblade ahead of him, shooting a beam of light, opening a portal to Dwarf Woodlands. Meanwhile, in a dark tower an Evil Queen addresses her Magic Mirror) Magic Mirror: What wouldst thou know, my Queen? Queen Grimhilde: Magic Mirror on the wall-- who is the fairest one of all? Magic Mirror: Famed is thy beauty, Majesty, but hold-- A lovely maid I see-- Rags cannot hide her gentle grace. Alas, she is more fair than thee. Queen Grimhilde: Alas for her! Reveal her name. Magic Mirror: Lips red as the rose, hair black as ebony, skin white as snow-- Queen Grimhilde: Snow White! (Outside the castle, Princess Snow White, dressed in rags sings to her wishing well. A Prince arrives, summoned by her song. At the harmony of the duet, she smiles and he charmingly bows to her. Spooked by his arrival, she rushes into the castle. He pursues her, continuing his song and she smiles back at him as the Queen peers down at them through the curtained window. Near the edge of the forest, the Keyblade wielder defeats a group of Heartless. When they vanish, a dwarf comes out of hiding) ???: Why, why, who are you? I was standin' right over there, and I saw you use that key of yours to get rid of those teachers--uh, creatures. (The wielder holds up the Keyblade and the dwarf peers closer at the blade through circular glasses) ??? (sighing): They've been nothin' but bubbles--uh--uh troubles. Oh, dear, I haven't introduced myself! I'm Doc. Me and my friends smirk in the twine-- uh, work in the mine. Today was just a plain ol' day until those--those monsters sprung up outta nowhere. We all ran out to chase 'em away, but no one's come back. Oh, where could they have gone? (He smiles) Doc: I should thank my muddy jars--uh, lucky stars you showed up! I didn't know what to do. I was sure I was done for! Well--uh, well, perhaps you wouldn't mind helping me find my friends? I sure could use a band--uh, stand--uh, your help. (The wielder nods with determination) Doc: You will? Oh, thank you! (He turns toward the forest) Doc: I'll show you the way to the mine. Maybe we'll see one of the men on the way. (They walk into the Dark Forest) Doc: The mine's through the forest. We can't be too careful with those pesky monsters around! (They wielder protects Doc by defeating Heartless as they travel through the Dark Forest) Doc: I sure feel safe with you here. It's up ahead. Doc: Jiminy Crickets! I thought I'd stop at our cottage first, but we have unexpected visitors! We gotta do somethin' before they dash our gnome--uh, smash our home to smithereens! Will you help me? (The Keyblade wielder defeats the Heartless at the Dwarf's Cottage) Doc: You sure showed him! And our cottage looks just dandy. I'm gonna pake a teak--uh, take a peek inside to see if anyone's come home. (The wielder defeats Heartless while Doc takes a look inside the house. Chirithy appears) Chirithy: You seem to be doing all right! I can't say the same for the person you were talking to. He looked pretty worried. (The wielder returns to the cottage) Doc: Oh, am I glad to see you! The cottage was empty, so I went to check the mine. But another of those crying jeepers--uh, giant creatures showed up again! I ran as soon as I saw it, but that solves nuthin'. Could you get rid of him like you did the other one? (They make their way to the mine and find a Large Body Heartless blocking the entrance) Doc: I'd sure be grateful if you could take care of that monster. (The wielder eliminates the Large Body) Doc (smiling): I'm righty--uh, lighty--uh, mighty grateful for your help! Now I better take a look inside the mine. Maybe the others are back at work. (They enter the diamond mine) Doc: It's full o' monsters in here! (The wielder escorts Doc through the mine, keeping the Heartless at bay) Doc: They should be in here somewhere... (They find a tubby dwarf carrying a cheerful disposition) Doc: There you are, Happy! Happy: Why, if it ain't Doc! What's wrong? You sure look frazzled. Doc: Well, a horse--uh, of course! I didn't know where you'd gone! Happy: Gosh, that all? The mine car broke down, and there ain't no other way of gettin' back. Doc: Well, I'm just thankful you're all right. But where are the rest of the men? Are they around here? Happy: I thought they were with you. Doc: Oh, dear me... Who--uh, where could they have gone? (He turns to the Keyblade wielder) Doc: Thank you for your help! I never woulda found Happy here without you. (Happy nods) Happy: You're the one who helped Doc? Gosh, I'm mighty grateful, friend. That sure was nice of you. Now don't you worry, me and Doc will take it from here. Doc: Good muck--I mean luck with everything. (Doc and Happy leave and Chirithy reappears) Chirithy: Looks like another satisfied customer! Time to see if you can put your powers to use elsewhere. I'm sure there's someone somewhere who needs help. (The Keyblade wielder heads to the curious world of Wonderland, finding themselves falling down a rabbit hole. They walk through an odd hallway with floating furniture and strangely-shaped walls until they reach a curious room. In the center of the room is a clear glass table and at the end is a tiny wooden door too small for them to fit through. The wielder bends toward the doorknob) Doorknob: Looking for a way out, I suppose. Sorry, you're much too big. Simply impassable. (The wielder looks upset) Doorknob: Oh no. You're not going to cry, are you? Crying won't help. Hmm... But perhaps this will. A girl visited earlier. Why don't you talk to her? She may have some advice. (The wielder sees nobody) Doorknob: Where is she, you ask? Why, on the other side. Naturally. (The wielder reaches for the doorknob again) Doorknob: No, no, no. As I said, you're simply much too big. Of course, there's always another way. (A small bottle appears on the glass table) Doorknob: Why don't you try the bottle on the table? Read the directions, and directly you'll be directed in the right direction. And then-- (He notices the wielder's weapon) Doorknob: Wait, you have a key! Well, why didn't you say so? Now all you need-- (A Heartless clad in armor strolls into the room and grabs the bottle) Doorknob: Oh, that's rather unfortunate. (They Keyblade wielder defeats the Soldier Heartless and takes back the bottle) Doorknob: You've retrieved the bottle, I see. Drinking the contents will-- (The wielder drinks the potion in the bottle and shrinks down to the size of the tiny door, dropping the now wielder-sized bottle in the process) Doorknob: Well, I suppose that hardly requires an explanation. As you can imagine, it's very useful for crawling through small spaces. And should you wish to undo things, try the cookie on the table. (The wielder enters the door and finds Chirithy) Chirithy: Brrr, there's darkness all around! You've got your work cut out for you, kiddo. (The wielder walks across the path of leaves and flowers, making their way through the Tulgey Wood) Chirithy: I'll bet you can easily jump over that log. (The wielder leaps over the log and finds a young girl in a pinafore near a tree marked with signposts pointing in all sorts of ridiculous directions) ?????: Why, hello there. My name is Alice. Who might you be? (The wielder tells her their name) Alice: Oh? Thank goodness! I was afraid you'd speak in riddles, too. I don't supposed you've seen a white rabbit, have you? I've been looking for him everywhere. (The wielder shrugs) Alice: I see. How unfortunate. Now, where could he have gone? ??????: I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello. Goodbye! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! (A White Rabbit carrying an oversized pocketwatch comes bounding up the path) Alice: Why, there he is! (She begins running after it) Alice: Wait! Please! Mr. Rabbit! (Alice runs away) ???: Lose something? Your way, perhaps? (The wielder turns to see a crescent moon hanging in the air on a parted tree branch. As they stare at it, it leans over on its side, looking more like a smile. To the wielder's surprise, a pair of eyes drop in above the smile and the figure of a grinning Cheshire Cat fades into view) Cheshire Cat: Or an answer? I've lots of those. The questions don't matter, of course. All answers here have lots of questions. (The wielder travels further into the wood, where they find Alice) Alice: I was chasing the White Rabbit, but I've lost sight of him. I'll keep searching. Would you look for him as well? (The Keyblade wielder protects Alice as she searches for the rabbit) Alice: Mr. Rabbit, where are you? (The wielder defeats Heartless in the forest) Alice: I've lost sight of the White Rabbit, AND I've gotten myself lost... Could you show me the way back to where I was? (They cross a leaf with morning dew) Alice: Oh, it's rather slippery. (The wielder walks Alice to the Fork in the Road) Alice (smiling): Thank you oh so much. (Alice's face turns concerned) Alice: Perhaps he's gone this way. I'll keep looking. (Alice leaves. The wielder finds her at the White Rabbit's house) Alice: Why, the White Rabbit has some peculiar-looking visitors. (The Keyblade wielder defeats the Heartless surrounding the house) Alice: He's not here either. Oh, where could he have gone? Well, now that his visitors have left, I can continue my search. Thank you for all your help. (Later, Chirithy reappears) Chirithy: Look at you! It looks like things are taken care of around here, at least for now. Let's see if there's anyone else who needs a hand. (The wielder opens a portal to the desert world of Agrabah. In a shaded loft within the mystical city, a young man tosses an apple to his pet monkey) ???????: Breakfast is served. (The monkey takes a bit out of the apple as the man walks over to the wide opening in the wall) ???????: Look, Abu. (They gaze at an immense golden palace in the distance) ???????: I wonder what it would be like to live there... (They hear a voice from above) Voice: Run! ???????: What's going on? (Abu puts down the apple) Voice: Monsters! ???????: What!? Come on, Abu. Let's check it out! (Abu nods and they race outside, the man taking along his scimitar. They find a bandit Heartless in the sand) ???????: So, you thought you could attack my city and get away with it? Not on my watch! (The man leaps forward and their swords clash. Locked in a standstill, the Heartless plants its foot in the sand and knocks the man's sword away. Abu, attracted to the red jewel in the Heartless's turban, jumps up at it and they both disappear) ???????: Abu! No! (The man faints. Later, the Keyblade wielder comes upon him and taps him awake. He stands up groggily and sighs) ???????: Phew, thanks! I'd have been in real trouble if you hadn't come along. By the way, my name's Aladdin. I don't think I've seen you around before. You're not from here, are you? Then, you should probably go home. There's these strange monsters in the city so it's not safe. Look what happened to me. (The wielder nods. Aladdin looks toward the city) Aladdin: I can't just stay here; I have to go back. Agrabah's my home. If I don't protect it, who will? Promise me you'll go home, okay? (Aladdin runs off to the city) Chirithy: You didn't say yes, did you? Then come on, let's go take a peek! (The wielder enters Agrabah and finds Aladdin again) Aladdin: You're still here!? Well, I guess it's too late to turn back now. Just...be careful. It's weird. Agrabah's like a ghost town. Everyone got scared and left. Hey, I've got an idea. The palace guards always know what's going on. But you'll have to ask them yourself. They... Well, let's just say they're not my biggest fans. (The wielder finds a guard in the city) Hakim: I hear strange noises coming from the storehouse. With all the monsters around, I can't help but think it's one of them... What? You'll check it out? (The wielder nods) Hakim: Well, if you insist, then you have my permission. (The Keyblade wielder clears the storehouse of Heartless) Hakim: So it really was one of those monsters. You did a great job. The townspeople can rest easy now. (The wielder returns to Aladdin) Aladdin: You're okay!? What a relief. But what brings you here? Me? Well, I heard the Red Bandit monster's out in the desert. I'm just grabbing a few things for the road. That monster and I have some unfinished business. What? You wanna come with me? I appreciate it, but I can't let you do that. Of course, I can't really stop you either... Just try not to get hurt, okay? (They head out to the desert) Aladdin: Safety comes first, okay? Look at all these monsters... There's gonna be trouble if they make it into the city. Let's take care of 'em now! (They defeat the Heartless in the desert) Aladdin: Well, that takes care of those bad guys! Now let's get back to finding that Red Bandit. (The continue searching the desert) Aladdin: The Red Bandit was spotted in this area. He's a real tricky one. We can't let our guard down for a second. (They find a Bandit Heartless wearing red bandages behind a large rock and defeat it. Aladdin looks crestfallen) Aladdin: That wasn't him. That wasn't the red monster I was after. Wonder where he could be. Anyway, thanks for the help, but I can take it from here. I'll let you know if I'm ever in trouble. You do the same, okay? Chirithy: Seems your new friend has things under control, so why don't we head back to Daybreak Town? (The wielder opens a portal and returns to Daybreak Town. By the waterfront, something twinkling falls from the sky. The wielder walks into the square toward a small red block on the ground. A light fuzzy creature runs up to them, grabbing the block, the pom-pom on its head bouncing along) Moogle: Kupo! I smell a munny maker, kupo! (The creature begins picking up other strange blocks littered around the area) ??????: Aw phooey! How did this happen? ?????: I don't know, Donald. It's like the whole thing just fell apart. (The wielder walks closer to find a duck and a dog peering over the pile of blocks. The dog stands up as the wielder approaches, catching a glance at the Keyblade) Goofy: Gawrsh! Is that what I think it is? (Donald turns to see the wielder and his eyes grow wide) Donald: A Keyblade!? (A group of Gummi Copter Heartless appear, but the wielder takes them out. The last Gummi Copter vanishes and a magic swirl shines through the air to Goofy's pocket) Donald: Wak! What was that? Goofy: Got me! (He reaches into his pocket, his eyes peering upward in thought) Goofy: Hmm... What's this? Huh? (He pulls out a red triangle-shaped block similar to the ones scattered on the ground) Donald: A Gummi block! How did you do that? Goofy: I think maybe it's 'cause of this. (He pulls out a strange device with round knobs and buttons) Goofy: When a Gummi Heartless is defeated, this Gummi radar retrieves the Gummi block it was carrying. Of course, we couldn't have done it without our new friend! Donald: Oh. Okay... (The duck turns to the Keyblade wielder) Donald: Hey! I almost forgot! Why do YOU have a Keyblade? (The wielder tells them their story) Donald: Masked figures in white robes? Chirithy? What's the big idea!? How come I've never heard of them before? Goofy: Well, maybe it's because we're someplace new. I bet there's still lots we don't know about this world. Donald: Possibly... Goofy: Say, maybe you can help us. We came here in a Gummi ship, but it fell apart when we landed. And then the blocks that the ship was made of were stolen by the Heartless. Do ya think you can help us get 'em back? Donald: Goofy! What are you doing!? We don't need help. We can do it on our own. Goofy: No, we can't, Donald. Remember, we don't have anything to fight with. Donald: Oh. Right. Goofy: So, what do ya say, pal? Do ya think you could collect the Gummi blocks we need? Donald: Yeah. It sure would help us. (The wielder nods and the two of them break into smiles) Goofy: Gawrsh, thanks! Oh, and be sure to take this with ya. (Goofy hands the Gummi radar to the wielder) Goofy: We'll be right here tryin' to rebuild the ship with the parts we still have. (The wielder defeats Gummi Heartless around town and collects their Gummi blocks. They meet back up with Donald and Goofy) Goofy: Thanks! You sure found lots of pieces. Now let's see if we can put 'em together. (They start rebuilding the Gummi Ship) Donald: These pieces fit like this... Goofy: And this one goes here... Donald: WAK! Goofy! That doesn't go there! Goofy: Hmm, I don't remember our ship lookin' like this. Donald: Yeah, there's something screwy going on. (After completing their task, Goofy surveys the ship before them as its four wheels sit firmly on the--Wait... wheels?) Goofy: Uh, Donald? I don't think that's a spaceship. (Donald stamps his feet) Donald: WAK! What do you mean it's not a-- (He turns) Hey! That's not a spaceship! This is all your fault. (Donald runs to the Gummi Car and starts disassembling the Gummi blocks) Goofy: Uh... It looks like we're still missin' a few blocks. Could ya collect some more for us? (The wielder leaves Daybreak Town to search for Gummi blocks in other worlds. They arrive at Dwarf Woodlands) Chirithy: Ready to collect some Gummi blocks? (The cat sees something) Chirithy: Hm, what's that? It's a bottle. And there's something inside. (They take the bottle to the dwarfs) Doc: You find a lottle with a better inside? I mean a bottle with a letter? Let me see... (He looks worried) Doc: Why, it's from Sleepy! It says he was in the marsh when the water level note--uh, froze--uh, rose, and now he's stuck. Oh no! Would you please help our friend? (They find Sleepy and Grumpy in the marsh as their path is blocked by a Wibble Wobble Heartless) Sleepy: Yawwwn... I wish that monster would let us through. Grumpy: Aw, lemme at 'em! (The Keyblade wielder defeats the Wibble Wobble and offers a hand to Grumpy. The dwarf scowls and shoves his hands into the pockets of his red tunic) Grumpy: Hmph! Who asked for yer help? I coulda taken down ten of 'em! Sleepy (yawning): Are ya sure? We were there for a long time. I was gettin' kind of sleepy. Grumpy (stomping the ground): Shush, ya fool! You're always sleepy. Stop yer whinin'! (Grumpy turns to the wielder) Grumpy: You come to lead us out of here? Then what're you waitin' for!? (Sleepy yawns) Sleepy: You came for us? That's swell. But can I take a short name first? Grumpy: No time for that now! (to wielder) Come on, before he falls asleep! Giddap! (The Keyblade wielder protects Grumpy and Sleepy from Heartless as they make their way back to the Dwarf's cottage) Doc: Thank goodness, you're both safe! Grumpy (closing his eyes): Hmph! Course we are! Doc (to wielder): You saved the day again! Thank you, friend! Now, we'd best go to the mine to look for the others. Sleepy: Yaaawn...! Grumpy: Well, we ain't got all day! He won't last a minute longer! Chirithy: Wow! Look at all the Gummi blocks you've collected! Why don't you deliver them to Daybreak Town? (The wielder travel to Daybreak Town, where they find Donald and Goofy still working on their Gummi ship) Donald: More Gummi blocks? Thanks! Now we need blocks for the engine. Goofy: Hey gang, look at this! The radar's acting all wonky. Maybe it's tryin' to show us the location of the blocks we need. See--The radar's pointin' to the market across the bridge. Say pal, would you mind checkin' it out for us? (The wielder crosses the bridge to the market, where they find a strange- shaped Gummi block before being surrounded by a horde of Wizard Heartless. A twinkle appears in the sky. It darts around from star to star in the early morning light, shining brighter and brighter as it nears the wielder's position. There is a quick flash, stunning the wielder. As they open their eyes, they see the Wizard Heartless have vanished and in their place is a short mouse in large yellow shoes. In his hand, he holds his own Keyblade adorned with stars) ??????: Uh-oh! There's darkness in this world too... (He turns to see the wielder) ??????: Oh, and Keyblade wielders. (The mouse dispels his Keyblade and shakes the wielder's hand) ??????: Hiya, pal. I'm Mickey. (The wielder smiles) Mickey: It looks like I took a surprise journey to a new world. Say, have you seen my friends Donald and Goofy? They would have appeared outta the sky just like me. (The wielder makes a special hand motion) Mickey: Their ship was destroyed? And you're helping them rebuild it? Gosh, thanks! Guess it's a lucky thing I landed here. Of course, I never would have made it without my two co-pilots. (Two tiny chipmunks stick their heads out from Mickey's pocket. The wielder takes a step back in surprise as the chipmunks hop out) ????: Your Majesty, remind me to show you how to use the brakes next time! ????: Oh boy! That was exciting! Mickey: Sorry, Chip. Sorry, Dale. It's just that I was in a hurry. (Smiling, Chip & Dale chitter to themselves) Mickey: Now, I've gotta go look into something. Fellas, would you two go and give Donald and Goofy a hand? Just follow our new friend. (He gestures to the wielder, then remembers his manners) Mickey: Say pal, would you show them the way? (The wielder nods) Mickey: Thanks! Chip: We're right behind ya! Dale: Wait for me! (The chipmunks jump onto the wielder's shoulders and he leaves) Mickey (to himself): So it wasn't the Star Shard that led me here. Hmm... What exactly is going on? (The wielder takes the chipmunks to Donald and Goofy) Chip: Don't forget, if you see any Gummi Heartless, that means there's still more blocks to find. You gotta search real carefully on the way to the Waterfront Park. (The wielder stumbles upon a fuzzy creature with a pom-pom on its head) Moogle: Kupopo! I've collected lots and lots of Gummi blocks for my new business, kupo. What? You're collecting them too? I'm gonna beat you at this game, kupo! (The wielder finds Donald and Goofy working. Dale jumps off of the Keyblade wielder and laughs at their Gummi ship. which resembles more of a Gummi boat) Dale: Wow! This is neat! (Chip joins him) Chip: No, it's not! It's not neat! It's a disaster! How did this happen? Goofy: I don't know. Chip, what do you think? (Goofy looks up from his work) Goofy: Huh? Chip! Dale! You're here! Donald: What!? (Donald and Goofy walk over to the two chipmunks. Chip hops over Donald's head to his annoyance) Chip: Sit back and relax, fellas! (Dale does the same) Dale: Yeah, leave this to us! (Chip & Dale hop aboard the Gummi boat and survey the work. Soon, they salute the two from the deck of the ship) Chip: We're missing a bunch of core parts. (Dale nods) Dale: But the frame is perfect. Donald: Core parts? (The wielder holds out the strange-shaped Gummi block) Goofy: Ya mean like that one? Chip: Yep! You'll need a lot of those if you want the ship to fly again. (Dale opens his arms wide) Dale: A whole lot. Goofy: Gawrsh pal, I guess we'll be needin' some more of your help. (Later, the wielder searches for Gummi blocks in the city of Agrabah) Chirithy: I smell Gummi blocks! Why don't you go and-- Oh? That guard over there, he looks awfully troubled. Hakim: This isn't good. One of the other guards went into the desert, and he should've been back hours ago. I'd go and search for him, but I can't leave my post. (The wielder agrees to find the other guard) Hakim: You'll look for him? Thanks. I'm counting on you to bring him back safely. (In the desert, the Keyblade wielder finds Aladdin) Aladdin: Hey, what're you doing here? Me? I heard a rumor that the Red Bandit was out here and came to check it out. But it wasn't him this time, either. I'm going back to the city. Be careful out here, okay? (Aladdin leaves and the wielder continues their search for the guard. Later, they find a very tall and strong man with a thick beard fighting a large Heartless. The wielder helps him by defeating it. The man stands up at full height with a cocky grin on his face) Razoul: Thanks! Not that I couldn't have handled that myself. I've never seen a monster that size before. Can you imagine what would happen if something like that found its way to the palace? I should hurry back and report my findings. (The wielder escorts the guard through the desert) Razoul: There are more monsters than ever in the desert. What in the world is going on!? (They return to the city to find a Fat Bandit Heartless causing destruction in the Marketplace) Razoul: That's the monster from before! I hope I'm not too late. The palace is undefended! I need your help, kid. I gotta make sure the palace is secure. So, you stay here and guard the city! (The wielder goes after the Fat Bandit while Razoul heads toward the palace. Later on a rooftop a Bandit Heartless appears, loaded with jewels and a treasure chest in its turban) ??????: Hold on! (The wielder readies their Keyblade while Aladdin runs in, scimitar in hand) Aladdin: This one's mine. You with me? (The wielder nods) Aladdin: All right, let's let him have it! (The attack the Bandit, but it blocks them both easily. With force it knocks them back and the space around it appears to bend. Aladdin shakes a fist in the air) Aladdin: No, wait! (He rushes forward, but the Heartless vanishes) Aladdin (sadly): I'll find you, Abu. I promise. (Aladdin sighs and the wielder moves closer) Aladdin: That monster... It took my best friend. (The wielder offers support) Aladdin: You want to help me get him back? (He thinks about it) Aladdin: Thanks, but I have to do this alone. You seem like a good person. Abu wouldn't want you putting yourself in danger to save him. Besides, I don't even know where to start looking. But I promise to find you if I need help, okay? (Aladdin goes his own way and the Keyblade wielder returns to the city) Razoul: I heard you got rid of that giant monster. But we can't relax just yet. The city's still infested. I need to protect the palace, so it's up to you to do something about it. (The wielder defeats the Heartless infestation around the city and meets back up with Razoul and Hakim) Razoul: Hey, it's you! You did good, kid. Don't let your guard down, though. Never know when those monsters might attack again. Hakim: You're pretty talented with that strange sword. Maybe you could teach me a few tricks. Chirithy: Good job, kiddo! Now that you've taken care of things around here, why not deliver those Gummi blocks? (The wielder returns to Daybreak Town and meets back up with Donald and company) Chip: Wow, thanks for all the parts! We just need a few more to finish fixing the ship. Keep 'em coming! (After gathering all the necessary blocks, Chip & Dale finish building the ship and Donald & Goofy enter the cockpit) Chip: Ta-da! You better check the engine. Donald: It's this button, right? (Donald presses the button) Goofy: Donald! No! (The ship starts to glow) Donald: Huh? Dale: What's happening? Chip: The ship's gonna fall apart if we don't take off! Now! Dale: But what about the King? (Just at that moment, Mickey runs in. He and the Keyblade wielder exchange a nod before he jumps into the cockpit along with Chip & Dale) Mickey: C'mon, it's time to go home--to our world. (The ship takes off into the sky. Chirithy appears on a nearby railing) Chirithy: They were a friendly, noisy bunch, weren't they? So HE's the King. (Elsewhere in Daybreak Town, the Moogle gazes upon his work--a Moogle-shaped Gummi ship) Moogle: It's finally complete! Now I can open up shop in every corner of the world, kupo! Now for a test drive. (The Moogle searches over the ship--up to the pop-pom, under the arms, across the back--before walking off again) Moogle: H-How do you board this thing? (He sighs) Moogle (sadly): Back to the drawing board, kupo... (The wielder leaves Daybreak Town and returns to Wonderland, where they find the Cheshire Cat) Cheshire Cat: If I were looking for a white rabbit... I'd look over there. Today's one of his particularly twitchy days. (The wielder looks over) White Rabbit (distressed): Oh, my fur and whiskers! The numbers on my watch have disappeared! How will I tell the time? How will I know if I'm late? If only I hadn't tripped and fallen in that puddle! Oh, my poor watch! (Alice appears) Alice (concerned): The White Rabbit seems to be in quite a predicament. Perhaps I can help. (Alice searches for the numbers to the rabbit's clock, while the wielder accompanies her, defeating any Heartless that cross their path) Alice (smiling): There. That's all of them. White Rabbit (gleeful): It's fixed, it's fixed! My watch is fixed! (He glances down at the time) White Rabbit: No, no, no, no, no, I'm overdue! I'm really in a stew! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! (He scampers away) Alice: Wait, please! Mr. Rabbit! (She runs after him, but he escapes. She searches for him, but to no avail) Alice: I'm going to ask the Doorknob if he's seen him. (They find the Rabbit Hole and speak to the Doorknob) Doorknob: The White Rabbit? He hasn't come by, but you're free to search the room if you'd like. (They look around, but only find Heartless and return to the Doorknob) Doorknob: Well? Alice: He's not here. Doorknob: I can't show you where he is, but I can show you where he lives. (The Doorknob does so) Alice: I see now. I must have taken a wrong turn at the fork. I'd better make sure to take the right path this time. (They make their way to the rabbit's house to find him in a panic. A Large Armor Heartless is blocking the path to his door) White Rabbit: Help! Help! How am I to get inside my house with this--this giant monster in the way? (The wielder takes out the giant Heartless) White Rabbit: The monster is gone! Oh, but so is the time! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! (He runs off inside his house) Alice: Wait! Mr. Rabbit! (Later, Alice waits for him) Alice: He's been in there an awfully long time. He should be coming out any minute, and I'll wait right here until he does. (The wielder hears a voice from deep in the woods and leaves Alice to find out who it is. He finds Chirithy in the Morning Dew Grove) Chirithy: There you are! I've been meaning to talk to you about something. Would you mind meeting me in Daybreak Town? (The wielder leaves Wonderland and departs for Daybreak Town. The world flashes back) Chirithy: The world was pure darkness. (Chirithy floats in the dark abyss, without his cape or changepurse. Just a cat, alone. He slowly opens his eyes and sees light around him in the shape of a bottle) Chirithy: But I was born into a radiant world enveloped in a brilliant light. (More light pours into the bottle and with a flash, Chirithy gains his cape and changepurse) Chirithy: From within that light, my master gazed upon me and smiled. (The wielder returns to Daybreak Town and meets with Chirithy at the Market) Chirithy: Looks like you're getting the hang of that thing. (The wielder holds it aloft with glee) Chirithy: Yep, you kinda look the part too! It's time that you learn how this all came to be. (Five silhouettes appear against the dawning sky) Chirithy: Before he disappeared, the one who made me bestowed names on his six apprentices, and passed down the Book of Prophecies to five who came to be known as the foretellers. The five read the manuscript, and were shocked by the final entry. "The fated land will be the battleground for a great war. Light will see defeat and expire, while darkness prevails evermore." They decided to draw on the powers of the book to prevent that from happening. The Medals you're using are one of those powers. They harness unimaginable forces from the future to protect light and keep the world safe from the inevitable darkness. As for the foretellers, you should know that they share the same goal, but they don't follow the same path. Don't lose sight of yours, okay? (The wielder nods) Chirithy: I have a teeny tiny favor. You know what the Darkball Heartless look like, don't you? I need you to get rid of them for me. Please? (The wielder travels to Dwarf Woodlands to rid the world of Darkball Heartless. After defeating some in front of the Dwarf's Cottage, Grumpy gets their attention) Grumpy: Hey, you! I saw a passel of pests over by the marsh. Ain't ya gonna do somethin' about 'em? (The wielder rids the Marsh in the Dark Forest of the Heartless) Chirithy: I don't know how, but they found their way inside the mine! (They enter the mine) Chirithy: They're everywhere! Leave no stone unturned! (The Keyblade wielder defeats the rest of the Darkballs in the Dwarf Woodlands) Chirithy: Thanks a bunch! I knew you were the one for the job. I wonder where they came from. Wonderland's been infested too. I'll need you to take care of them. I hope you're up for the task! (The wielder travels to Wonderland and defeats the Heartless there) Chirithy: Good job, kiddo! Is it my imagination, or are those Heartless from another world...? But we can talk about that later! No time for chit chat. They've been spotted in Agrabah! (The wielder leaves Wonderland and does the same with Agrabah) Chirithy: Thanks a million! I don't know who could've seen this coming, except for maybe-- Well, that doesn't matter now. Who's ready for a trip back to Daybreak Town? (The two return to Daybreak Town) Chirithy: I'm going to see what I can find on the Darkball Heartless. Be back in a bit, okay? (The wielder makes sure the Heartless don't cause trouble while Chirithy looks into the situation. They find Chirithy at the gates of a building) Chirithy: About time! I looked into our little situation. You remember the Darkball Heartless? Well, it's just as I thought; they came from another world. That means there's another world out there that's been invaded by darkness. (The wielder lets out a large sigh) Chirithy: But you can deal with them, right? Easy as pie! (The wielder lifts their Keyblade high) Chirithy: That's the spirit! A new world means the power of a new Keyblade. Which is exciting, right? Things'll definitely be getting rough, so you'll need all the help you can get. Ready? Now hold out your Keyblade. (The wielder lines up to summon a portal) Chirithy: And away to a new world! (The wielder enters the summoned portal and finds themself in a world with large golden statues. As they approach a set of doors, they hear a voice from within) ????: About time! The entries are gonna close any minute now. (A short, bearded creature walks out from behind the doors. He gazes up from beneath his horns and puts his hands on his hips) ????: Wait. Who are you? This ain't no place for kids. Scram! (A tall muscular man enters the courtyard and walks up to them) ????: You're late, Herc! Where you been!? Hercules: Sorry, Phil. Pegasus wouldn't let me leave. You know how he can be. Who's this? Phil: Who knows? Probably just another wannabe contender. Everybody thinks they got what it takes to be a hero. (Hercules takes a closer look at the wielder) Hercules: Huh? There's something about this kid--a real strength. Why don't we let our friend here give it a shot? Phil: You gotta be jokin'! This pipsqueak? No way. Besides, all the spots are full. Hercules: Oh. Well then...hmm... (He smiles) Hercules: I know! I'll give up my spot. Phil: You can't be serious! I thought you wanted to be a true hero! And-- (Hercules moves closer to Phil and whispers in his ear) Hercules: Trust me on this, okay? I have to go now, so I'll need you to take care of things while I'm gone. Phil: Fine, fine! Go do your thing. I'll look after the kid. Hercules: Thanks, Phil! I owe you one! Phil: You owe me more than one and you know it! Hercules (to the wielder): Don't worry. You're in good hands with Phil. Good luck! You never know, with hard work, maybe someday you can be a hero too. (Hercules leaves the courtyard) Phil: You heard him. I'll go ahead and sign you up. Find me when you're ready. (The wielder defeats Heartless to warm up and goes to find Phil in the Coliseum) Phil: Ready, kid? The preliminary round's about to start. Let's see what ya got. (The wielder passes Round 1) Phil: Not bad! But it ain't over yet. (The wielder passes Rounds 2 & 3) Phil: Nice work! The next one moves quick, so don't even think about blinkin'! (The wielder proceeds through Round 7) Phil: You're almost there, kid! The next guy packs a real punch. He'll knock you flat in two seconds if you're not careful. (The wielder makes it through the Preliminary Semi-Finals) Phil: You win this, and you're in. Focus! (The wielder passes the Final Round) Phil: Good job, kid! I knew you had it in ya from the moment I laid eyes on ya. (The wielder looks skeptical) Phil: What? That's not how you remember it? (laughs) Maybe you took one too many blows to the head. Anyway, rest up. The tournament's not for a while. I'll let ya know when it's time. Chirithy: Congratulations on making it into the tournament! But there's no time to celebrate. There's trouble brewing in another world! What are you waiting for? Let's go! (The wielder travels to Agrabah and speaks with Razoul) Razoul: Hey, you haven't seen a scoundrel named Aladdin, have you? Rumor has it he broke into a merchant's house and stole five golden medals. That little thief is nothing but a street rat. He must be hiding around here somewhere. If you see him, you tell one of us guards, got it? Good. (The wielder finds Hakim) Hakim: I'll bet that sneaky thief ran off into the desert, but he won't get away so easy! I'm goin' after him! (Later, the wielder reaches the Desert just as Hakim is returning) Hakim: He wasn't out there. I had better report back. (The Keyblade wielder finds Aladdin in the Upper Level of the Bazaar) Aladdin: Shhh! Quiet! The guards are looking for me. They think I stole some lousy medals. But I didn't do it, I swear. You gotta help me track down who did so I can clear my name. (The wielder searches the city and finds Hakim in distress) Hakim: I left the Guard Station to look for Aladdin. When I got back, it was full of monsters! Help me take care of them, will ya? (They defeat the Heartless at the station) Hakim: Nice work. The others are still looking for Aladdin, but I'll stay here and keep watch. (The wielder meets back with Aladdin and defeats a Heartless resembling a Bag O' Coins) Aladdin: It looks like that monster dropped something. Hey, this is one of those stolen medals! I told you it wasn't me. Let's see... Five were taken, right? One down, four to go. (The wielder smiles) Aladdin: Really? You'll help me find the rest? I owe ya one! Okay, I'll go this way; you go that way. Good luck! (They take off in separate directions in search of the stolen medals. Later, they meet back on the Rooftops) Aladdin: Great, you found one! With my two, that makes four. We need one more, but something tells me it won't be easy. Word on the street is that the last thief ran off into the desert. Wanna join me for a little adventure? (They search the desert and find a Bag O' Coins Heartless. It scurries away when it sees them) Aladdin: Hah! Found ya! Don't you know stealing's against the law? (They catch the Bag O' Coins and defeat it, winning back the stolen medal) Aladdin: That's all of them. Thanks to you, that was pretty easy! Say can you do me one last favor? The guards still think I'm behind this, so I can't just walk into town with the medals. Think you can return them for me? (The wielder smiles) Aladdin: Thanks again, for everything. (The wielder returns to the city and finds Razoul) Razoul: The medals! Where'd you find them? (The wielder explains the situation to the guard) Razoul: What? Aladdin wasn't the thief? They were stolen by monsters? All right. I'll get the medals back to the merchant. It might not have been that street rat this time, but I still don't trust him! (Later, they meet back with Chirithy) Chirithy: What's that saying? All's well that ends well! Ready for another adventure? (The Keyblade wielder leaves Agrabah and travels to the Dwarf Woodlands) Chirithy: It looks like everyone's at the mine. Why don't you find out what's going on? (The wielder enters the mine) Grumpy: You again? Hmph. S'pose you're lookin' for the others. They're thatta way. There's a big ol' monster causin' all sorts of trouble. Figures. Think ya can do somethin' about it? Sleepy: Gosh the ground sure is rocky. Better be careful. (The wielder makes his way through the mine, happening upon Sneezy and Dopey) Sneezy (bracing for it): Ah, ah, ah... (Dopey holds Sneezy's nose shut. He waits and nothing happens. He lets go and...) Sneezy: Achoo! (Grumpy runs in) Grumpy: Sneezy! Dopey! What in the tarnation are ya doin' here? (Dopey jumps around excitedly) Grumpy: Oh, calm yer horses, Dopey! I ain't upset with ya. Now go on! Git! (Dopey nods and runs out, kicking up dust, setting Sneezy off again) Grumpy: And you! Stop that sneezin'! The ground ain't so stable in these parts. (Sneezy suppresses the urge to sneeze) Grumpy: Come on. Everyone's awaitin'. (Sneezy and Grumpy leave the mine and Chirithy appears) Chirithy: It looks like you're right on track. But we have a problem. Something terrible's going to happen! A great light is about to be enveloped by darkness! Someone needs your help. She's in the Dark Forest! (The wielder delves into the Dark Forest, defeating Heartless until they happen upon a trembling Snow White) Snow White: Oh, dear. Oh, dear. I'm so afraid! It's much too dark and scary in this glade! (The wielder raises his Keyblade to make the forest brighter) Snow White: Oh, but you're not scary. No, not quite. You seem so warm and made of light. Why is that so? Tell me, please. (The wielder puts a hand on his heart) Snow White: It's from your heart? How sweet. Meeting you is quite a treat. Oh, how silly. I haven't introduced myself. My name is Snow White. But I mustn't stay. It's too dangerous for me here. Good-bye! (She walks away and Chirithy appears) Chirithy: That's her all right. She's a precious light, one the world can't afford to lose. That's why you need to watch over her. (The wielder nods) Chirithy: I'm counting on you! (The wielder hears a shriek from the forest) ????: Eek! (They find Snow White being attacked by a Possessor Heartless) Snow White: A monster! (The wielder defeats the Heartless) Snow White: Oh, thank you! This forest is so scary when I'm alone. Would you be kind and walk me through the forest? I'd feel so much better if you would. (The wielder guides Snow White out of the Dark Forest, defeating any Heartless in their path until they reach the Dwarf's Cottage) Snow White: Look! A cottage! Oh, thank you. I don't think I could have gotten here on my own. Oh, it's adorable! Just like a doll's house. (She enters the house and is surprised at her surroundings) Snow White: It certainly is untidy. Everything's covered with dust. Oh, but I'm a little sleepy. Perhaps I'll take a rest. (The wielder and Chirithy meet outside) Chirithy: I can't think of a safer place for her to be. Now that she's settled, maybe you should see what the Dwarfs are up to. (The wielder finds the Dwarfs in the mine) Doc: Oh, it's you! Thank goodness! We're in quite a tickle--uh, mickle-- uh... We're in trouble. (Dopey jumps up and down) Happy: We were tryin' to dig through these rocks to help Bashful. Sneezy: Ah, ah, ah... (Dopey blocks Sneezy's nose) Sneezy: I didn't sneeze once! Sleepy (yawning): But the rocks are mighty deep and awful hard to move... (Dopey looks sad until he turns to the wielder) Doc: So, do you think you could blues--uh--uh, choose--no, not choose... Grumpy (yelling): Aw, stop standin' there sputterin' like a doodlebug! Just ask 'em to use that key o' theirs! (The wielder looks down to their Keyblade) Doc: Yes, yes, that's it. Could you use that key of yours to do something?

(The dwarfs stand back as the wielder aims their Keyblade at the pile of
rocks in the back of the room. A beam of light erupts from the blade and
clears the rocks from the way. Bashful walks out from the cave)

Bashful: Gosh, what's everybody doin' here?

Grumpy: Hmph, finally! Bein' Bashful don't mean ya hafta hide!

(Dopey jumps happily around Bashful)

Doc: We were worried sick! Are you all right?

Happy: It sure is good to see ya!

Sleepy: Yawwwn. Now that everyone's here, can we go home? I wanna take a
nap in my own bed.

Sneezy (sneezing): Ah, ah, achoo! Yeah, it's awful dusty here.

(Bashful notices the wielder)

Bashful: Who's that?

Grumpy: That's the reason we're all here safe and sound. Don't tell me ya
fools forgot already!

Doc: Of course not. Thank you, friend. You sure have been a big help.

(The Dwarfs nod)

Doc: Now we can finally go home!

Happy: Finally! My tummy's rumblin'.

Sleepy: And I miss my pillow.

Grumpy: Don't got all day! Hurry up!

(The wielder escorts the Dwarfs out of the diamond mine and meets back up
with them at their cottage)

Doc: What wonderflual--uh, wondafoil--uh, great timing! There's a monster
in our house, and we're gonna sneak up on it. Would you come with us?

Grumpy: You're askin' for help again!?

Doc: We got to! The monster might be--

Sleepy: Big!

(Dopey spreads his arms wide)

Happy: Maybe it's a dragon!

(Dopey makes a roaring motion)

Sneezy: Maybe it has horns!

(Dopey holds two curved fingers over his head)

Bashful: And breathes fire!

(Dopey waves his arm in front of his mouth)

Doc: Will you help us?

(The wielder nods)

Doc: I knew we could count on you!

Grumpy: Can't say no to nothin', can ya?

Doc: Let's attack while it's still sleeping!

(The Dwarfs line up and enter the house. They creep into the upper room
where they find Snow White)

Doc: Why, i-it's a girl! Well, my dear, we're uh, we're honored to have you
in our home. Can I ask what brings you here?

Grumpy: Honored? We're mad as hornets! Now tell her to git!

Snow White: Please, don't send me away. If you do, she'll kill me.

Dwarfs: Kill you! Who will?

Snow White: My stepmother, the Queen.

Grumpy: Her!? She's an old witch! She's full of black magic. She can even
make herself invisible. Might be in this room right now.

Snow White: Oh, she'll never find me here. And if you let me stay, I'll
keep house for you. I'll wash and sew and sweep and cook.

Sneezy: Cook!

Doc: Can ya make dapple lumpkins--uh, lumple dapplins--uh, apple dumplings?

Snow White: Yes, and plum pudding and gooseberry pie.

Dwarfs: Hurray! She stays!

(Snow White clasps her hands together)

Snow White: Now, time for supper.

(After supper, the wielder leaves the house as Snow White and the seven
Dwarfs throw a party filled with dancing and singing)

Chirithy: It looks like quite a party!

(The wielder's smile falls)

Chirithy: What's wrong? Why aren't you in there with everyone else? You
look sad. But you know, you're not alone. You may not understand it yet,
but no matter how far apart you are, your heart is always connected to
your friends' hearts. There's no reason to be lonely. One day, you'll see.

(Chirithy jumps in the air and puffs away. The wielder places a hand on
their heart. They return to Daybreak Town, where Chirithy returns)

Chirithy: You're making amazing progress! I could tell you had potential
from day one. But what if I told you...I had something to make you even
stronger? Let's see here... Dun dada duuun!

(He pulls out a shining item)

Chirithy: Check out this Power Bangle!

(He places it on the wielder's wrist and they pose with it)

Chirithy: Yes, looks great. Moving on. With the help of the bangle, you'll
be able to strengthen your Medals even more! You can boost each Medal a
different amount. Try it out, have fun with it!

(The wielder gives him a look, saddened that they can give nothing in
return)

Chirithy: Don't look at me like that. Come on, give it a shot. It won't
be so bad! And the best part is, it's a gift! The bangle is yours to keep.

(The wielder looks over the bangle)

Chirithy: Well, if you really want to do something in return, just keep
it equipped and continue to do what you're doing. I hope it'll motivate
you to get out there and do even better!

(The wielder raises their Keyblade)

Chirithy: I knew I could count on you. Good luck!

(Chirithy jumps in the air and disappears. From behind the wielder,
Chirithy walks down the stairs in his direction)

Chirithy: Huh?

(The wielder returns to Wonderland)

Chirithy: Hmm, I don't see her anywhere. Maybe the Cheshire Cat knows
something.

(The wielder finds the Cheshire Cat)

Cheshire Cat: If it's Alice you seek, finding her will depend on where
she is.

(Heartless appear)

Cheshire Cat: Look. Visitors have made their way here. But all ways
here are the Queen's way. You simply must deal with the ordeal, before we
can deal with the matter.

(The wielder defeats the rambunctious rascals)

Cheshire Cat: Alone again. Yes, that's much better. I'm sure Alice would
prefer it this way. Curiously, she scurried to the Curious Room.

(The Keyblade wielder makes their way to the Curious Room and talks to the
still-sleepy Doorknob)

Doorknob: Yawn... What is that ruckus? What disturbs my sleep? This won't
do. This won't do at all... Who? Alice? Oh, she's in the back garden with
whoever is making that racket.

(The wielder searches for Alice in the Back Garden, finding her face-to-
face with a Wibble Wobble)

Alice: Oh, what shall I do?

(The wielder appears)

Alice: Thank goodness you're here! The Doorknob can't get his rest with all
the commotion out here. I told them to shush, but no one will listen!
Perhaps you can do something.

(The wielder defeats the Heartless in the area)

Alice: Oh, thank you! I hope those rude little monsters learned their
lesson. Now perhaps the Doorknob can sleep.

(They return to the Curious Room)

Doorknob: Speech may be silver, but silence truly is golden! I look forward
to a long-awaited good night's rest. Thank you, both of you.

(Later, Alice notices something is amiss)

Alice: Oh dear, my handkerchief is missing. I must have dropped it
somewhere...

(The wielder protects Alice while she searches for her handkerchief)

Alice: Why, here it is! I suppose it fell out of my pocket. I'm so glad I
found it again. Now that I'm quite happy, I wonder how Mr. Rabbit is.
Shall we visit him at home?

(The wielder escorts Alice to the White Rabbit's house)

Alice: Thank you for your company. I'd better go inside to see if he's
all right. Good luck!

(Alice leaves and Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but this is important! A
brand-new breed of Heartless has been spotted in Daybreak Town. I think
this might be a job for you!

(They leave Wonderland and return to Daybreak Town. The wielder walks
into a tavern in the Fountain Square and finds three other Keyblade
wielders)

Girl: Well, well. Another wielder.

(The wielder raises their Keyblade in affirmation)

Girl: Have you heard? A new breed of Heartless has been spotted all over
town. Sounds like they're a handful. We're thinking of splitting up and
thinning them out. Care to help? We're all meeting back here when we're
done with our share. Good luck out there!

(They nod and the three wielders leave. Together, they take down the
Neoshadow Heartless that plague Daybreak Town. Meanwhile, Chirithy walks
through town just as a puff of smoke appears on a nearby railing,
revealing a second Chirithy)

Chirithy 1: Hi, Chirithy.

Chirithy 2: Hi, Chirithy.

Chirithy 1: How's your wielder?

Chirithy 2: Indifferent.

(The Chirithy's folded ears wiggle slightly)

Chirithy 1: Oh.

Chirithy 2: I don't think they understand what's going on.

Chirithy 1: They'll learn. They have to.

Chirithy 2: You're right. There are only 5 unions...

Chirithy 1: ...And we can't afford to lose any of them, which is why we
need to trust our wielders will flourish.

(Later, the wielder returns to the tavern to find Chirithy)

Chirithy: He's not coming, but he left you a message. "I'm sorry I
couldn't keep our promise." That's it. Hafta go!

(Chirithy mews and disappears. Later, the Chirithy walks back through town
and finds the second Chirithy lying on the ground)

Chirithy 2: Hi, Chirithy.

Chirithy 1: What's wrong?

Chirithy 2: My wielder disappeared into darkness.

Chirithy 1: Oh.

Chirithy 2: Is this the end?

Chirithy 1: We have a connection to our Keyblade wielders. If they
disappear, so do we.

(The Chirithy turns to lie on its back)

Chirithy 2: Yeah...

(The Chirithy floats into the air and vanishes. Behind Chirithy, a portal
appears and a masked figure in robes steps into view)

????: The wielders are gathering Lux at an extraordinary pace. However,
the darkness is spreading even faster.

Chirithy: Then there really is a traitor among the five?

????: I'm not willing to believe that yet.

Chirithy: ...Right.

(Later, the wielder meets back up with Chirithy)

Chirithy: Good job with the Heartless! Come on, let's blow this popsicle
stand. Other worlds need your help!

(The wielder leaves Daybreak Town and visits Agrabah. Attempting to explore
the Desert, they are stopped by a guard)

Hakim: Because of those monsters, it's not safe out there. We set up this
board so the citizens of Agrabah can ask for assistance. It filled up
before we got it nailed to the wall. What I'm saying is we could use some
help. When you get a chance, check the board. Got it, kid?

(The guard reads from the board)

Hakim: "Shadowy cloud-like monsters have been spotted in the Scarab Sands.
They need to be dealt with before they reach the city!" - Desert Sands
Patrol Squad

Hakim: You're gonna help? Great! This one's all yours.

(The wielder defeats Heartless on their way to the Scarab Sands)

Razoul: We can't rely on an outsider to do all the work. I'll show you
what the royal guards are capable of.

(Razoul and the wielder travel through the Desert)

Razoul: We're almost there. But who knows what those black cloud monsters
are up to. Be prepared for anything.

(They reach the Scarab Sands and run into Possessor Heartless)

Razoul: These are the ones we're looking for! Get 'em!

(They defeat the Possessors and return to Agrabah)

Hakim: You took care of the monsters? Thanks. I'll let the D.S.P.S. know.

(He returns with another request)

Hakim: Looks like there's another post. (reading) "My precious goods! I
was crossing the sands when a big gust of wind scattered my belongings!
Can someone retrieve my wares from the desert?" - Courtyard Merchant

(He looks concerned)

Hakim: I'll take this one--Oh. You want to come with me? Fine. I can always
use another good soldier.

(The wielder protects the guard from Heartless as they search for the lost
wares)

Hakim: You did well! Thanks. Now, let's get back to the courtyard and give
the merchant his goods.

(They return to the city)

Hakim: Check and see if there are any new posts.

(Razoul notices something making its way toward the city)

Razoul: Monsters! A ton of them! And they're coming this way! We gotta head
them off before they reach Agrabah. You there! Come with me!

(The wielder and Razoul leave the Courtyard to fight the invading Heartless.
The wielder runs into Aladdin)

Aladdin: I can't just stand by and let them take over Agrabah!

(Aladdin joins the fight. Hakim runs into the wielder)

Hakim: I saw some monsters running off to the storehouse. I have to protect
the palace. Could you check it out for me?

(The wielder leaves Hakim to guard the palace as they, Aladdin, and Razoul
fight off the horde of Heartless)

Razoul: I don't know how, but we held our ground.

(He grins, impressed)

Razoul: Thanks, kid. You're a real lifesaver!

(The wielder meets back up with Chirithy)

Chirithy: Well, well. Look who's turning into quite the good Samaritan!
Come on, let's go see if you can work your magic elsewhere.

(The wielder leaves Agrabah and returns to Dwarf Woodlands. They find the
Seven Dwarfs in their cottage)

Doc: Well, hello friend. Sorry we're in such a plate--uh--uh, state. We
were supposed to start workin' again but, um, well...

Happy: Dopey's gone and lost the key to the mine. No matter where we look
we can't find it.

Grumpy: Hmph! Fool prob'ly dropped it on the way home.

(The wielder protects the Dwarfs from the Heartless as they search the
woods for the key. Meanwhile, the Evil Queen approaches her Magic Mirror
once again)

Queen Grimhilde: Magic Mirror on the wall--who now is the fairest one of
all?

Magic Mirror: In the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs dwells Snow White,
fairest one of all.

Queen Grimhilde: Snow White lies dead in the forest. The Huntsman has
brought me proof.

Magic Mirror: Snow White still lives, the fairest in the land.

Queen Grimhilde (scowling): I've been tricked!

(The Queen turns away from the Mirror, her cape sweeping behind her)

Queen Grimhilde: I'll go myself to the Dwarfs' cottage in a disguise so
complete no one will ever suspect. All I'll need is a formula to transform
my beauty into ugliness, change my queenly raiment to a peddler's cloak.

(The Queen leaves the tower to complete her work. Later, she emerges from
the forest in old robes, her once beautiful visage now transformed into a
ghastly hag. She hobbles across the rocky landscape carrying a bushel of
apples in a wooden basket. She holds up a red one)

Hag: A poisoned apple will do the trick. When she tastes the apple in my
hand, her breath will still, her blood congeal. Then I'll be fairest in
the land. Only Love's First Kiss can awaken her from her slumber. Bah!
There's no fear of that.

(She cackles to herself and continues along the path. Meanwhile, the Dwarfs
find the key to the mine and return to work)

Doc: We're all here. Back to work, men!

(The wielder leaves the Dwarfs and returns to check on Snow White at the
cottage)

Snow White: Isn't it a beautiful day? I thought I'd gather some wood for
the fireplace.

(The wielder protects Snow White as she gathers firewood)

Snow White: This should be enough. Oh! I'd better start supper soon. The
men will be hungry when they get home from work.

(They return to the cottage)

Snow White: They're awfully late. I hope nothing's wrong. You don't
suppose they were attacked by a monster, do you? Would you go and see if
they're all right?

(The wielder leaves the cottage and checks on the Dwarfs at the mine. They
find them deep within the mine)

Sleepy: Yawwwn... Trapped again.

Happy: Funny, ain't it? Seems we're always gettin' trapped in dark places.

Doc: Oh, hello there, friend! Are we glad to see you! We were just headin'
home, when monsters appeared in our path. We're pluck--uh, muck--uh, stuck
here with no place to go. Can you help us?

(The Keyblade wielder clears the mine of Heartless and leads the Dwarfs
to the entrance)

Doc: Thank you! You sure are good at helpin' folks.

(The wielder nods and leaves the mine. Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: It's terrible! It's horrible! The light! Darkness has the princess!

(The wielder looks shocked)

Chirithy: Can't explain. Hafta go!

(The cat disappears and the Dwarfs catch up to the wielder)

Grumpy: Hey! What're ya doin' just standin' there?

Sleepy: The old Queen's got Snow White!

Doc: We have to flurry and wave--uh, hurry and save her!

(The wielder and the Dwarfs race to the cottage. Chirithy appears again.
Back at the cottage, the hag advances on Snow White with the poisoned apple)

Hag: Because you've been so good to poor old Granny, I'll share a secret
with you. This is no ordinary apple. It's a magic wishing apple.

Snow White: A wishing apple?

Hag: Yes! One bite, and all your dreams will come true.

Snow White: Really?

Hag: Yes, girlie. Now, make a wish, and take a bite.

(The hag holds out the apple to her and the princess take it)

Hag: Go on, dearie. Make a wish.

Snow White: I wish for the one I love to come and carry me away to his
castle where we'll live happily ever after.

Hag: Fine, fine! Now take a bite. Don't let the wish grow cold.

(The hag gives a crooked smile as Snow White raises the apple to her rose-
red lips. She takes a bite and her face changes)

Snow White: Oh, I feel strange.

Hag: Her breath will still. Her blood congeal.

(Snow White drops and the apple rolls toward the hag's feet, the bite
clearly seen)

Hag (cackling): Hahaha!

(She raises her arm)

Hag: Now I'll be the fairest in the land!

(The hag leaves the cottage, grinning as the rain pours through the trees.
Lightning flashes as the wielder and the Dwarfs return, crossing her path)

Grumpy: It's the witch!

(The hag runs across the bridge, and Poison & Candy Apple Heartless appear
behind her)

Grumpy: She ran into the Dark Forest! After her!

(The Dwarfs leave the Heartless to the wielder as they go after the Evil
Hag. The wielder dismissed the Heartless and catches up to the Hag, who's
drawn the attention of a Wretched Witch Heartless on the slope of a rocky
mountain pass. The Wretched Witch tosses exploding apples from her basket
in an attempt to defeat the wielder, but this attack fails. The Hag flees
to higher ground as the rain continues to pour. She reaches the precipice
of the mountain and is cornered by the Dwarfs. Using her surroundings she
lifts a fallen tree branch and attempts to loosen a giant boulder in the
direction of the Dwarfs. Slowly, the rocks beneath it slide out)

Grumpy: Look out!

(Just as it seemed the boulder would slip, a huge strike of lightning hits
the ground at the base of the rock, causing the stone precipice to collapse,
sending the Evil Hag and the boulder falling to the ground below. The Dwarfs
and the wielder peer over the edge as the rain streaks down their faces.
Later, the Seven Dwarfs gather around a beautiful glass coffin. Lining the
glass are bouquets of flowers, and inside lies Snow White in an eternal
slumber. The Dwarfs each hold their hats in their hands and sob for their
fallen princess. Hanging back, the wielder is joined by Chirithy)

Chirithy: Luckily, she wasn't lost to darkness. She's just fallen into a
deep, deep sleep. Perhaps...

(The wielder insists on helping her)

Chirithy: No. You don't have that kind of power.

(The wielder grows sad)

Chirithy: Oh!

(The cat disappears and the Prince enters the clearing. He removes his hat
and approaches the sleeping Snow White. The Dwarfs look up and part as he
nears the coffin. Slowly, he bends down and kisses her. He kneels beside
her, closing his eyes, praying for her to wake. After a few solemn moments,
she stirs and her eyes flutter open. She slowly lifts herself off the
pillow and rubs her eyes, seeing the Prince before her. The Dwarfs'
expressions change to those of happiness. Dopey and Happy toss their hats
into the air as Sneezy lets out a celebratory sneeze. Even Grumpy stomps
the ground with a cheer. The wielder smiles brightly as Chirithy reappears)

Chirithy: The Prince and Snow White's hearts must have been connected;
that's why he showed up when he did. The bond between hearts is a strong,
beautiful power. Maybe it's a power you have deep inside you.

(The wielder raises their Keyblade and nods. Later, they leave Dwarf
Woodlands and return to Olympus Coliseum where the tournament is about
to take place)

Phil: Hey kid, you look different. Been workin' out? Good, 'cause it's
tournament time! Show me what ya got.

(The wielder fights through the first two rounds)

Phil: Not bad, kid! Keep up the good work!

(The wielder fights through rounds 3 & 4)

Phil: Nice! Way to roll with the punches!

(The wielder finishes off rounds 5, 6 & 7)

Phil: That was some show, kid. Who knows, you just might have what it takes
to be the champ!

(The wielder grins)

Phil: That's the spirit! But seriously, at this rate, you could go all the
way.

(Phil laughs)

?????: Just give up.

(A man with spiky blond hair and a long red tattered cape walks into the
Courtyard)

Cloud: There's no reason for you to keep going. No matter how hard you try,
you're not going to win.

Phil: Huh!?

Cloud: I'm going to win this tournament. I have to.

Phil: What oracle died and made you judge? Nothin's set in stone, and this
hero-in-training's not goin' down without a fight.

(Cloud turns back to them)

Cloud: Hero, huh?

Phil: Y-yeah.

(The man turns away and runs a hand through his hair)

Cloud: Not interested.

(Cloud leaves)

Phil: You've learned a lot, kid. Just find a way to smash through his guard
and you'll breeze through the quarterfinals!

(The wielder passes the quarter and semi finals and speaks with Phil in the
Courtyard)

Phil: Way to go, kid! That championship is as good as yours. Of course, it
would be a different story if Herc were around, but he ain't. So now's
your chance.

(They smile and the crowd in the Coliseum cheers)

Phil: Ready to meet your opponent?

(Cloud leaves the Coliseum and walks past them)

Phil: I shoulda known. (sighs) Don't know what his deal is, but...

(The wielder snaps him out of his thoughts)

Phil: Never mind. It's nothin'. Just be careful, kid. You never know what
them dark, broody types are thinkin'.

(The wielder nods. They defeat Cloud in the Finals. Phil enters the
Coliseum with a big grin on his face as the wielder raises the Keyblade high.
Cloud picks himself off the floor with a scowl on his face. The wielder turns
to face Phil, who notices the man get up. Focusing only on the wielder,
Cloud lifts his bandaged sword. Phil takes a step back signaling the wielder
to turn around just as Cloud leaps into the air. Before they know it,
Hercules dashes like lightning to block the sword's blow)

Hercules: I don't think so.

(Hercules knocks him back)

Phil: Herc!

Hercules: We were tricked, Phil. This whole tournament's a sham.

Phil: Whaddaya mean, a sham!?

Hercules: Look at the entry sheet.

(Phil takes out the entry sheet and reads it)

Phil: What? ...Hey, wait a second, there's somethin' written here real
small... "The winner will recieve a free trip to the Underworld." What kind
of a prize is that!?

Hercules: One only you-know-who would think up.

(A puff of smoke billows a few feet away and a tall pale man in a black
toga steps out of it. His hair is lit with seething blue flames and he
stares at the group with a full pointy grin)

Hades: That's right, Wonderboy! This tournament was a production of yours
truly.

(He walks closer to Hercules)

Hades: Of course, I was expecting YOU to enter, but hey, I'm a flexible
guy. And we'd all die of boredom if things always went according to plan--
not that that's a bad thing... So which of you is my champ?

Hercules: Neither. Nobody won, so you can keep your "prize."

(The expression on Hades's face turns to surprise)

Hades: What!?

(Hades's once blue skin and hair suddenly turn red in an outburst of anger)

Cloud: I'll go with you.

(Hades returns to his blue form)

Hades: Who're you?

(The Lord of the Dead walks over to the warrior and looks him over)

Cloud: ...Cloud. So are we going or not?

Hercules: Wait! You don't know what you're getting yourself into.

Phil: The Underworld ain't just dark and scary. It's the land of the dead!

Cloud: I know. The Underworld... Seems like his kind of place.

(Hades laughs)

Hades: Well... Gotta say, I was not expecting a volunteer, but... Hey, I'll
take what I can get.

(Smoke swirls around them and soon Hades and Cloud are gone as Hercules
runs to stop them)

Hercules: I don't like this. We have to go after him.

(Hercules starts to leave)

Phil: Herc!

Hercules: Don't try and stop me, Phil.

Phil: I'm not. Just listen, I got two words for you: Make. Him. Pay!

(Hercules smiles and leaves for the Underworld)

Phil: Don't know what to tell ya, kid. But the tournament's definitely
canceled. Trust me, you don't wanna get involved with a guy like Hades. So
go home before it's too late.

(Phil leaves and Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: I'm with him, kiddo! Let's skedaddle! Your heart's still not
strong enough to take on the darkness in the Underworld.

(The Keyblade wielder insists)

Chirithy: I had a feeling you'd say that. That's why...

(A portal appears behind Chirithy)

Chirithy: I had a gate prepared for you. But be careful. Beyond the gate is
a kingdom ruled by darkness. Don't let your guard down even for a second!

(The wielder nods)

Chirithy: Bon voyage!

(The wielder enters the portal and searches for Cloud in the Underworld.
They run into Hades)

Hades: Sheesh! After all the trouble I go through to bring a champion here,
he has the gall to refuse my generous offer. When I get my hands on
Mr. "I'm So Aloof," I swear I'll--!

(He walks past the wielder and stops)

Hades: Wait a second. I don't remember inviting guests.

(He walks towards the wielder)

Hades: You! What do you think you're doing here? (stops) Know what? I don't
care.

(He snaps his fingers and the ground rumbles. The wielder turns to see a
gigantic dog-like beast with three menacing heads stomping its way down the
cavern. Their fangs are bared and dripping with hunger. It reaches them
and attempts to bite the wielder)

Hades: I'm done playing nice. Cerberus! It's dinner time!

(He snaps his fingers again)

Hades: Bon appétit!

(He disappears in a puff of smoke)

Hades: I'll be watching from the best seat in the house.

(The wielder attacks with their Keyblade and Cerberus the hellhound strikes
back with a flurry of fireballs. After a tiresome battle, the beast falls
to the ground. With the last of its strength, it ambles away down the cave,
and Hades appears)

Hades: That's right, run! Tomorrow, I'm getting a real guard dog! One with
four heads, who breathes fire!

(He sighs)

Hades: Why is everyone against me today!?

(His fury builds and it turns him red)

Hades: I swear, I haven't had this much trouble since the ferryman went on
strike.

(He cools himself down)

Hades: No. No. I'm cool. I can fix this. I just have to think... Think!

(He snaps his finger)

Hades: Eureka! I am a genius! All I gotta do is talk some sense into this
kid...

(He walks over to the Keyblade wielder with a smile)

Hades: Hey, my friend. My buddy. My chum. Who woulda thought you'd defeat
Cerberus? Trust me, nobody woulda taken that bet.

(He walks around them)

Hades: But hey, you know what they say? Don't judge a scroll by its roll.

(He places a hand on the wielder's shoulder)

Hades: Now, I'm thinkin' you wanna be stronger, right? Well, I know just
the guy to help you. Me!

(The wielder says nothing)

Hades: Come on, don't be shy. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
You'll be mentored by the one and only lord of the dead. Whaddaya say, pal?

(The wielder nods reluctantly)

Hades: Great, it's a deal!

(He slaps the wielder on their back, almost knocking them off balance)

Hades: Well, long story short, darkness is the only real power in the
world. "Why?" you ask. Because everything was born from darkness. So if
you can control the darkness, you can control everything. Take it from me,
the expert on all things dark and deadly.

(He smiles again)

Hades: Oh! Almost forgot. I need proof that you can handle the darkness in
the Underworld. You know, like a little test.

(He puts a hand to his chin in thought)

Hades: I got it.

(He points forward)

Hades: Your first job as my underling is to get to my office. Alive.

(He grins evilly and disappears in a puff of smoke)

Hades: Little advice: don't keep me waiting.

(The wielder starts walking and Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: So you're really going... Remember where you are: the Underworld.
Wielding darkness may be the shortcut to power, but you might not be able
to turn back once you head down that road... But in the end...what you do
is up to you.

(Chirithy turns away sadly)

Chirithy: I'm here to watch over you. That's all.

(Chirithy disappears. The wielder traverses the Valley of the Dead and finds
Hades's Chamber. Inside, Hades sits on his stone throne)

Hades: Did I say there'd be a prize for speedy arrival? No. The only prize
you're getting is a lesson in the power of darkness. As promised.

(The wielder responds)

Hades: What's that? You wanna know where Cloud is?

(He stands up with a scowl)

Hades: Does it look like I give two drachmas about that spiky-headed
ingrate!?

(He sits back down)

Hades: But, since you asked, I'll just say... Humans don't last very long
in the Underworld, if you get my drift. Not you, thought! You weren't
crushed by the darkness. No, you've got potential. And yours truly is
willing to help you turn that potential into true power.

(The wielder looks disinclined)

Hades: What? Don't look so down on yourself. It'll be a piece of cake.
Just do every little thing I tell you, and you'll be a master of darkness
in no time!

(The wielder nods reluctantly)

Hades: All right, first thing's first: there's some unwanted guests
hanging out in the Cave of the Dead. Get rid of em' will ya?

(The wielder eliminates Heartless in various parts of the Underworld and
returns to Hades)

Hades: You're still alive? Will wonders never cease? Well, don't get too
comfortable, 'cause next up, I need you to exterminate some pests at the
entrance to the Underworld. Defeat them and you'll be one step closer to
mastering this whole darkness thing.

(The wielder defeats Heartless at the entrance of the Cave of the Dead and
returns to Hades)

Hades: Whoo! I may have a winner on my hands! Go on, you've earned yourself
a break. Might as well get acquainted with the place. I opened the door at
the entrance to the Underworld. Take a peek at just how deep the darkness
goes.

(The wielder defeats Heartless in the Underworld Caverns. He finds Cloud
standing over a green river. A black feather floats down and Cloud catches
it. He pockets it and closes his eyes. He opens them when he heard the
wielder behind him)

Cloud: I had a feeling you'd find me. But you shouldn't be here. This is
no place for the living. We need to head back.

(Hercules runs up to them and slides to a stop)

Hercules: There you are! Glad I found you together. Come on, let's get out
of here.

Cloud: Like I need to be told.

(Hades appears)

Hercules: Hades!

Hades: I came to see what the holdup was, and look! You're all here having
a party without me. What? Did my invitation get lost in the mail?

Hercules: Sorry, but the party's over. We're leaving.

Hades: Whoa, you got it all backwards, Blunderboy. The real party's just
getting started! It's showtime, kid! Let 'em have it!

Hercules: What're you talking about?

(The wielder draws their Keyblade and confronts Hades)

Hades: So you think I'm the bad guy, huh? Look at who's betraying who here.

Hercules: You're wrong, Hades.

(Hercules places a hand on the wielder's back)

Hercules: My friend was never on your side.

Hades: Well, you know what they say: if you want something done right,
call your mother. Short of that, do it yourself.

Hercules: I don't know what you're scheming, but it won't work. Good-bye,
Hades.

Hades: Hey, hey, hey, the night is young. Don't be such a party pooper.

(Hercules readies his fists)

Hercules: We're leaving. Just try and stop us!

(Hercules leaps to attack Hades, but is stopped short and collapses)

Hercules: What's wrong with me? I feel so weak.

Hades: Yes! Does it feel like the life's being drained from you drop by
precious drop? Well, it is! You walked right into my trap, Jerkules. You're
such a "hero" that I knew you'd come looking for these two. All I had to
do was wait.

Cloud: You used me?

Hades: Duh! Now this is what I call a party! Let me show you to the VIP room.

(He waves his hand and black chains entangle Hercules. Hades sends him
away in a puff of smoke and laughs)

Hades: And it wouldn't be a party without the decorations! Think I'll go
give the Coliseum a new look for the occasion. See ya, suckers!

(Hades disappears with a grin)

Cloud: We have to move. I'll buy us some time. You go find Hercules.

(The wielder accepts)

Cloud: Don't get me wrong. We're not allies. I just don't like being used.

(The wielder nods and the two split up. The wielder finds Hercules in
Hades's Chamber. They use the Keyblade to unlock the chains around Hercules)

Hercules (standing): Thanks. I owe you one. Hurry! We gotta get to the
Coliseum!

(The wielder seems apprehensive)

Hercules: You're coming with me, aren't you? This is a job for two heroes.

(The wielder nods. They race back to the Coliseum just in time to see
Hades toss a fireball at Cloud. He falls several feet away amidst the
destroyed Coliseum. Cerberus lies defeated next to the arena, and Hades's
smile fades as they enter)

Hades: Hercules! How did you--!?

(Cloud sits up)

Hercules: Don't worry, we'll take it from here.

Cloud: Have it your way. But he won't go down easy.

Hercules: I'm not worried. After all, I'm not going in alone.

(He smiles and the Keyblade wielder nods)

Cloud: Not alone, huh... Must be nice.

Hercules: You ready? (calling) Phil, come out here. Cloud's hurt. I need
you to keep an eye on him.

(Phil enters)

Phil: Well, it's about time you showed up! Look at this place. It's a
shambles!

Hercules: I'll help you clean up later, Phil. There's something else we
need to take care of first.

(Phil watches over Cloud as the wielder and Hercules face off with Hades)

Hades: Sheesh. This party's more dead than those stiffs back home. Aw,
lighten up, Wonderbreath. Don't you like my festive decorations?

Hercules: You never know when to give up, do you, Hades? You don't stand
a chance against us.

(Hades lights up red)

Hades: Wanna bet!?

(They exchange blows--and fireballs--with Hades until he turns blue
again. Fires burn around them as the destroyed Coliseum is a little more
destroyed)

Hades: Impossible!

Hercules: Give up yet?

Hades (coolly): Never. But I'm a busy guy, and I got places to be.

(He turns away from them)

Hades: Was taking that kid under my wing the wrong move or what?

(He begins walking away and fades into smoke. Phil happily runs over with
Cloud in tow)

Phil: Nice goin', Herc!

(He chuckles)

Phil: You had me worried for a sec, but you really pulled through at the
end, kid.

(He gives the two of them a good long look)

Phil: You two got a lot of heart.

(Hercules nods and offers a hand to the wielder)

Hercules: Yep. That's what makes us strong.

(They shake hands)

Cloud: The strength of a heart...

(He turns to exit)

Hercules: You're leaving?

Cloud: There's no reason for me to stay.

Phil: Not so fast, bub!

Cloud: I already told you. There's no reason for me to--

(Phil gives him a stern look with his hands on his hips)

Phil: I got two words for you! Clean. This. Up!

(Cloud facepalms and they laugh)

Cloud: Why me?

(Later, the wielder leaves the Coliseum and Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: What's this "real strength" he saw in you?

(He takes a step back and thinks)

Chirithy: Guess I'll never know.

(Later, the Keyblade wielder is asleep in Daybreak Town. He dreams of a
meeting in the clock tower between the five Foretellers and a figure in a
black cloak. The wielder enters the room and attempts to get closer to
hear what they're saying, but darkness creeps through the room and swallows
them. The wielder wakes up and sees Chirithy on the nearby windowsill)

Chirithy: That must've been some dream. You were tossing and turning like
crazy.

(The wielder explains what they saw)

Chirithy: Close your eyes and try to get some sleep.

(The wielder lies back down and closes their eyes)

Chirithy: Was that you?

(A second Chirithy appears outside the window)

Chirithy 2: Did you show them the dream? What is it you're trying to do?

Chirithy 1: The opposite of what you're doing.

Chirithy 2: I guess that makes us enemies.

(The second Chirithy disappears)

Chirithy: Don't worry. I'll protect you. I have to...

(Later, the wielder crosses paths with the Moogle)

Moogle: Help! There's a big, scary monster in Waterfront Park, kupo! It's
frightening away all my customers! If I have to close up shop, my regulars
will be lost, kupo! Can you go and take care of it? Please, kupo?

(The wielder heads to Waterfront Park and finds another wielder being
attacked by an Invisible Heartless. The wielder leaps from the ground and
unleashes a powerful combo attack that dispels the Heartless. Afterward, he
struggles to stand and the wielder runs to him)

???????: I'm all right.

(The wielder helps him up)

???????: Thanks. I guess I got a little cocky.

(He dispels his Keyblade)

???????: I'm Ephemer. I belong to the Union Leopardos. Nice to meet you!

(The wielder smiles, dispels their Keyblade, and introduces themself)

Ephemer: Looks like we're on different teams.

(The wielder nods)

Ephemer: But I'm working on something other than my Union task today, so
think of me as Union free for the day.

(The wielder looks interested)

Ephemer: Hmm. I guess I can tell you what it is, since you helped me out.
Can you keep a secret?

(Ephemer moves closer to the wielder--a bit too close, as they take a step
backward)

Ephemer: The worlds we visit--the worlds of fairy tales--are nothing more
than holograms. You know, projections. The light we collect there is
actually this world's light.

(The wielder thinks it over)

Ephemer: Umm, to put it simply: There are lots of worlds, right? And they're
all connected by land. But it's impossible to go around to all of them.
That's why there's a mechanism that projects those worlds here and allows
us to collect Lux from far away lands.

(The wielder nods in understanding)

Ephemer: I'm gathering information, trying to figure out how the whole
thing works. My hunch is that the Book of Prophecies held by the foretellers
is what's creating these holograms. Get it? Or have I lost you?

(The wielder acknowledges him)

Ephemer: Good. Anyway, we're in this town, gathering the light that belongs
to this vast world. Not just gathering, fighting over it, without knowing
why. Ater a little digging, I discovered that all the Unions have different
goals.

(The wielder's mind flashes back to his dream with the Foretellers)

Ephemer: What is it?

(The wielder explains his dream)

Ephemer: Really? Interesting... Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you come
with me?

(The wielder nods)

Ephemer: Great! Then let's head to the place you saw in your dream.

(They nod again and the two run off. Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: Is he yours?

(A second Chirithy with darker fur appears)

Chirithy 2: I don't know, is he?

Chirithy 1: You're not the same color you were before.

Chirithy 2: Very perceptive. So what's your next move? They're getting
closer to the truth. Are you going to allow that?

(The wielder and Ephemer reach the clock tower)

Ephemer: So you don't know where the room is?

(The wielder shakes his head. They look out at the town)

Ephemer: I've been here a few times, but I haven't found a way in.

(The wielder looks sad)

Ephemer: All right, let's split up and see if we can get inside somehow.

(The wielder nods and they smile and go on their way. After searching for a
way in, they find an open waterway and proceed into the underbelly of the
clock tower)

Ephemer: Great minds think alike. Other than the entrance, this is the
only place that connects outside. Be careful, there's a fair share of
Heartless around here.

(They fight Heartless through the Underground Waterway. During a battle with
an Invisible, the wielder is knocked down and Ephemer unleashes a Ragnarok
attack on the Heartless, defeating it. The two Keyblade wielders dispel
their blades and smile)

Ephemer: Now we're even.

(They hear a loud rumble and the room shakes. They run ahead where a
cloud of smoke is dissipating and one of the giant gears in the waterway
has stopped)

Ephemer: Wait. I think we should come back later. It's taken us this long
just to find a way in. Think of how much longer it'll take for us to enter
the tower and find the room. It's gonna look suspicious to our Union
leaders if we're missing for too long. We know how to get in now. Let's
save the rest for another day.

(The wielder slowly agrees)

Ephemer: We may not be in the same Union, but we're friends, right?

(They shake hands)

Ephemer: Let's meet tomorrow at Fountain Square. How about noon?

(They leave the waterway. Later, the wielder sits on their bed while
Chirithy is perched on the windowsill)

Chirithy: Someone looks happy. Tell me, tell me!

(The wielder tells him about their day)

Chirithy: You made a new friend? That's great! No wonder you're smiling. I
hear having friends is nice. But I wouldn't know because I don't have any.

(The wielder points to themself)

Chirithy: Huh? You? You're my friend...?

(Meanwhile, Ephemer returns to the Underground Waterway alone)

Ephemer: Sorry...

(He takes one last look back before walking through the holes in the stopped
gear. The next day, the wielder waits at the Fountain Square. They wait
until the sun sets. They wait until the lanterns outside the shop are lit.
They wait until the Moogle Shop closes its doors. Eventually, the wielder
sits under the lantern near the stairs)

Chirithy: Have you been here all day?

(The wielder looks up)

Chirithy: Come on, let's head home.

(The wielder doesn't get up immediately)

Chirithy: Look. I'm sure something important came up.

(The wielder walks toward the cat)

Chirithy: A friend always keeps their promise. Maybe he had an emergency.
You should give him the benefit of the doubt. Don't be sad. When you're sad,
it makes me sad too. After all, we're friends, right?

(The wielder nods and Chirithy lifts a hand to them. The wielder kneels to
take it and smiles. Happily, he lifts Chirithy into the air)

Chirithy: What--? Whoa!

(His cape flies up, revealing a Spirit Emblem on his back. The next day, the
Keyblade wielder returns to Wonderland, where the White Rabbit is yelling
into his house)

White Rabbit: Mary Ann! Mary Ann!

(He sees the wielder walk in)

White Rabbit: Oh, thank goodness you're here. Mary Ann went in to get my
gloves and she won't come out. And now I've gone and lost my key, so I
can't get in.

(The wielder raises the Keyblade)

White Rabbit: Oh, a key! But I'm afraid that's the wrong kind.

(The wielder walks past the rabbit and shines a beam at the front door and
unlocks it)

White Rabbit: What are you doing!? You stop that right now! No, no, no!
You'll wreck my poor house! Oh my fur and whiskers! I remember now. I
dropped my key in that room with the small door. Oh, please, do go and get it.

(The wielder stares at their Keyblade)

White Rabbit: Don't just do something, stand there! Uh...no, no! Go, go!
Find my key!

(The wielder nods and runs off to find the Doorknob)

Doorknob: The White Rabbit's key? I'm afraid I've neither seen hide nor HARE
of it. Rather good one, eh? Oh, but I did hear something drop over there.

(The wielder finds the key)

Doorknob: Splendid. That's sure to put an extra spring in his step.

(The wielder returns to the White Rabbit's house and returns the key. The
rabbit smiles, then pulls out his pocketwatch and gasps)

White Rabbit (yelling): Now you see here, Mary Ann!

(He opens his door and runs inside. The wielder sighs and starts to leave.
After crossing the threshold, they hear a crash that stops them in their
tracks)

White Rabbit: HELP!

(The White Rabbit comes flying out of his house)

White Rabbit: A monster! Help! Assistance!

(He runs past the wielder into the forest. The wielder walks back up to the
house and is shocked to find Alice too big to fit inside. Her arms and legs
stick out of the windows and doors and she peers down at them from the
upstairs window. Several Heartless appear around the house)

Alice: Oh dear. Could you please help me? I'd be ever so grateful.

(The wielder takes out the horde of Heartless)

Alice: That's better. At least now I shan't be burnt.

(She tries to move, but is trapped by the house)

Alice: Oh, but what ever shall I do about my...unusual size?

(The wielder tries to think of a solution)

Alice: Why, look! A garden!

(They look over and see a small garden on the edge of the grounds)

Alice: Perhaps if I ate something, I'd return to my regular size. Oh, but I
can't quite reach it. Would you kindly gather some vegetables for me?

(The White Rabbit returns, still panicked. The wielder collects vegetables
from the patch and give them to Alice. She eats them and shrinks back down.
The rabbit gazes at his pocketwatch)

White Rabbit: Oh dear, I'm here, I should be there. I'm late, I'm late, I'm
late!

(Just as the rabbit dashes away, a miniature Alice crawls out of a hole in
the front door)

Alice: Wait! Please, wait! Mr. Rabbit!

(Surprising to the wielder, Alice races after him at her tiny size.
Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: What a weird world.

(The wielder nods and smiles. They proceed to find the Cheshire Cat)

Cheshire Cat: I say, how are you getting on? Still looking for Alice? Well,
if I were looking for her and she was looking for a white rabbit, I'd ask
the Mad Hatter, in a westerly direction.

(The wielder heads west and discovers an animated tea party. A man in an
oversized green hat and a brown hare in a peacoat are seated at a long
table with twenty seats. Laid on the pink tablecloth are numerous steaming
teapots. The two sing their heart out)

Mad Hatter & March Hare: Happy Unbirthday to you!

(They notice the wielder's entrance and a wave goes through the table. The
two jump up from their seats and confront them)

Mad Hatter: No room, no room!

March Hare: All seats are taken!

(The wielder looks sad)

Mad Hatter: I can't believe it! Uninvited guests at OUR unbirthday party?

March Hare: You know, it's very rude to attend a party without being invited!

Mad Hatter: I'll say it's rude! It's very, very rude, indeed!

(The wielder looks ashamed and starts to leave)

Mad Hatter: Oh, but we never get company.

(The wielder stops)

Mad Hatter: Do stay.

(They lead them over to a chair)

Mad Hatter: You must have a cup of tea!

(The March Hare pushes aside the large armchair at the end of the table and
begins pouring tea into the cup in front of the wielder. He tosses the
teapot behind him)

March Hare: Sugar?

Mad Hatter: Well, of course. You can't have tea without sugar!

(The Mad Hatter pulls out a sugar bowl and empties the contents on the
wielder's cup, creating a mountain of sugar. He stares at the sugar bowl
with a frown)

Mad Hatter: Oh dear, we're out of sugar!

(He tosses the bowl away)

March Hare: Then our guest must bring us some. After all, guests always
bring the sugar.

(They smile)

Mad Hatter: Yes, yes. Two cups please.

(The wielder searches for sugar around Wonderland. They speak with the
Doorknob)

Doorknob: Sugar? Why, on the table, naturally.

(The wielder returns to the Mad Hatter with the two cups of sugar. The
March Hare pours the Hatter another cup of tea before tossing the kettle
away. The wielder gives the Hatter the sugar)

Mad Hatter: How delightful! Now we can finally have our tea.

(The wielder sits as the Hatter finishes the cup in his hand before
throwing it)

Mad Hatter: Clean cup, clean up!

(They lift the wielder out of their seat)

Mad Hatter & March Hare: Move down, move down!

(They move him to a completely different seat)

Mad Hatter: Now, how about some tea?

March Hare: Ah, yes! The tea! You must have a cup of tea!

(The Hare sets out a teacup for the wielder)

Mad Hatter: Wait just a moment! Isn't today a special day?

(The wielder reaches for the cup just before the Hare takes it away again)

March Hare: Why, yes it is. Today is your unbirthday. And it also happens to
be my unbirthday.

(They both hold up a cup of tea in celebration. The Mad Hatter tosses his
away)

Mad Hatter: That's right! How silly of me to forget. We simply won't have
time to entertain guests.

(The Mad Hatter runs around the table and the March Hare flings his teacup
aside)

March Hare: I'm afraid you've overstayed your welcome.

(The wielder gets up)

Mad Hatter: Yes! Yes! Toodle-oo!

(They chase him out of the Tea Party Garden)

Mad Hatter & March Hare: Now then, a very happy unbirthday to you!

(The wielder looks dejected as Chirithy appears on a nearby hedge)

Chirithy: Cheer up, kiddo. Your job is to collect the light and protect the
world. This isn't the time to be having a tea party anyway. I know it's
hard to think straight in this wacky place, but you have to try.

(The wielder nods)

Chirithy: I knew I could count on you. By the way, did you notice anything
special about Alice? She's one of the precious lights of the world.

(The wielder shakes their head)

Chirithy: You didn't notice, huh... Well, it doesn't matter. Now you know.
She's one of the lights and you have to protect her...

(The cat jumps off the hedge)

Chirithy: ...from the darkness.

(The wielder looks determined)

Chirithy: So why don't you go find Alice? Any idea where she might be?

(The wielder has one idea)

Chirithy: The Cheshire Cat said he has lots of answers? What an odd thing to
say. Well, it's worth a try!

(The wielder speaks to the Cheshire Cat)

Cheshire Cat: Beg pardon? Alice wasn't there? You may have noticed that I'm
not all there myself.

(The cat's body vanishes, leaving its smile, then that too fades. He
reappears in a different position on the tree)
Cheshire Cat: Oh yes, Alice. Well, she hurriedly scurried in a flurry down
the shortcut to see the Queen.

(He stands on his hind legs and pushes a small branch with his front paw
like a lever and the tree below opens to show the entrance to a Hedge Maze
with the Queen's Castle at the center. The cat vanishes the same way as
before. The wielder enters the maze and finds a soldier in the shape of a
playing card)

Ace of Hearts: We planted white roses by mistake, so we're painting the
roses red before we lose our heads.

(The wielder protects the Card Soldiers from the Heartless as they paint
the roses red)

Ace of Hearts: Help! The red roses are attacking! We'll lose our heads if
the Queen finds out.

(The wielder takes out the Red Rose Heartless infesting the Garden Maze and
a horn sounds from the direction of the castle)

Three of Hearts: The Queen!

(The Three of Hearts and Three of Spades rush forward and enter a courtroom
where the other Card Soldiers are gathered. The White Rabbit is perched atop
a podium with curved stairs holding a trumpet and Alice is being prosecuted
in a trial. Atop the tall judge's bench sits a very large woman wearing a
red and black gown with golden crown and a heart-shaped gavel)

White Rabbit: The prisoner at the bar is charged with malice aforethought
teasing, tormenting and otherwise annoying Her Majesty, and--

(The Queen's anger grows and she stops loudly, knocking the White Rabbit off
his perch)

Queen of Hearts: Never mind all that! Get to the part where I lose my temper.

(The White Rabbit runs back up the steps)

White Rabbit: --thereby causing the Queen to lose her temper.

(The Queen points her gavel at Alice)

Queen of Hearts: Now then. Are you ready for your sentence?

Alice: Oh, but there must be a verdict first. That just isn't the way.

(The White Rabbit changes his gaze like he's watching a tennis match)

Queen of Hearts (yelling): All ways are--

Alice (politely): Your ways, Your Majesty.

Queen of Hearts (sweetly): Yes, my child... Now, off with her--

Alice: But please, at least tell me what I've done!

Queen of Hearts: Well, get on with it.

White Rabbit: --and forcibly opening the door and entering Wonderland
without--

Alice: But I didn't open any door!

Queen of Hearts: Then how did you get in!?

Alice: Well, there was a bottle on a table and I drank from it and--

(The Card Soldiers start laughing)

Queen of Hearts (screaming): NONSENSE!

(The White Rabbit falls off his perch again and the Cards grow silent)

Alice: But it's true!

(She turns to the wielder)

Alice: Oh, you believe me, don't you? You must've gotten through the door
the same way.

(The wielder nods)

Alice: Your Majesty, please wait. We have proof.

Queen of Hearts: Well, then... Show me this "proof." QUICKLY!

Alice: Please hurry before she changes her mind. I rather like my head just
where it is.

(The wielder returns to the Doorknob)

Doorknob: A trial? How unfortunate. Well, you'd best take that bottle to
the poor girl so she can clear her name.

(The wielder takes the bottle from the glass table and brings it to the
courtroom where Alice presents it as evidence)

Alice: Let me explain... If you drink from this bottle, you'll grow so
small you won't need to open any doors.

White Rabbit: Oh dear me.

Queen of Hearts: Suspicious. Very suspicious. Read her next crime!

Alice: There's more?

White Rabbit: The defendant is also charged with planting white roses in
the Queen's garden!

Alice: Poppycock! I did no such thing. The roses were already--

(She turns to the Keyblade wielder)

Alice: Oh, never mind. Would you please help me sort this out?

(The wielder takes out the White Rose Heartless in the garden)

Alice: You see? There aren't any white roses in the garden.

White Rabbit: Oh. Oh me, oh my...

Queen of Hearts: Grrr... Her next crime!

White Rabbit: Y-yes, Your Majesty! The defendant is also charged with
bringing monsters to Wonderland.

Alice: Monsters!? But how could I-- Oh, it's no use. There's no one here
who can prove my innocence.

(The wielder goes off to search for the Cheshire Cat)

Cheshire Cat: A witness? For a trial? At the Queen's Castle? Oh, that will
be loads of fun.

(The wielder races back to the trial, running around the courtroom looking
for the Cheshire Cat, causing the Card Soldiers to be on alert and the
Queen to lose her patience)

Queen of Hearts (shouting): WELL, GET ON WITH IT!

Alice (sadly): As I thought, there's no witness at all is there?

(The wielder says something)

Queen of Hearts (shouting): SPEAK UP!

(A pair of eyes and a grinning smile appear next to the White Rabbit,
knocking him off the pedestal for a third time. The cat comes into view)

Alice: Oh, Cheshire Cat. It's you! You'll tell her I'm innocent, won't you?

Cheshire Cat: Will I? And let the cat out of the bag so soon?

Alice: Yes, you must!

Cheshire Cat: Very well. It's light in here, so answers are far. But as
darkness nears, illumination appears. Look not to Alice...

(He vanishes from the podium and reappears in the Queen's scowling face)

Cheshire Cat: ...for she's far too light to carry such a heavy crime.

(The wielder nods and the cat vanishes)

Queen of Hearts: Grrr... Next crime! READ IT!

(The White Rabbit jumps in fright and runs up the pedestal)

White Rabbit: But there are none, Your Majesty.

Alice: See? I told you I'm innocent.

(She looks down to the wielder)

Alice: Thank you so much for saving me.

(The wielder smiles)

Alice: Your Majesty, may I please now have the verdict?

(The Queen slams her gavel on the bench, knocking the White Rabbit down
again)

Queen of Hearts (violently): GUILTY!

Alice: But I--

Queen of Hearts: OFF WITH HER HEAD!

(The Card Soldiers group together and make their way toward Alice, but the
wielder intercepts them. Alice runs to the wielder)

Queen of Hearts: How dare you get in MY way!?

Alice (softly): All right. I know just the place to hide. Please do be
careful.

(Alice runs out of the courtroom and the wielder blocks the path of the
Card Soldiers)

Queen of Hearts: Don't let her get away! OFF WITH HER HEAD!

(The Soldiers create a House of Cards as the White Rabbit looks on. The
cards attempt to charge the wielder with their spears, but they prove no
match for the power of the Keyblade. The wielder delivers a final strike
and blows the house down. The Cards flutter to the ground in a pile, further
angering the Queen, who orders them up again. They chase the wielder into
the Hedge Maze. The wielder manages to lose them and meet back up with Alice)

Alice: Oh, you're safe! Thank goodness. I never would have escaped if not
for you.

(The wielder smiles)

Alice: The queen is nothing but a pompous, bad-tempered, old tyrant. Her
way. Why must all ways be HER ways? Well, I think I shall explore a little
more MY way. After all, you'll be around to save me. Good day!

(The wielder tries to stop her, but she wanders off. Chirithy pops in on
the top of a hedge)

Chirithy: A curious girl in a curious world, huh? Doing what her heart
desires is probably what makes her such an important light, even if she
doesn't realize it. Maybe you could learn a thing or two from her. She'll
come to understand her role in time.

(He hops down to the wielder)

Chirithy: And your role is to keep her out of harm's way, no matter what!

(The wielder nods)

Chirithy: Out of harm's way AND the Queen's way!

(He looks up at the wielder)

Chirithy: Why aren't you laughing?

(The wielder shrugs, smiling)

Chirithy: It's funny!

(The cat turns away)

Chirithy: I guess I shouldn't quit my day job.

(He sighs and disappears. The scene flashes back to Daybreak Town, where
Ephemer sits on the edge of the fountain with a Foreteller in a fox mask)

Ephemer: Master Ava, you're really not yourself today. I guess even
foretellers have their off days. Hey, maybe talking about the Book will
cheer you up!

Ava: Not a chance!

Ephemer: Awww.

Ava: You were trying to pull a fast one on me, weren't you?

Ephemer: No, no! I was joking!

Ava: If you say so. But, I really do think it would be great if all the
Unions could work together and be friends.

Ephemer (smiling): You know, I made a friend from another Union today. They
don't talk much, but I think they're just shy. We're meeting again tomorrow.

Ava: That sounds fun. You'd better go home and get some sleep then.

Ephemer (standing up): 'Kay! We'', it was nice talking to you. I don't know
what's got you down, but please cheer up!

(He smiles and runs off)

Ava: Thank you. If worse comes to worst, I want to leave the future to
kids who see the world like you do.

(A dandelion seed floats by her)

Ava: Let the wind carry you far, far away... My Dandelions.

(More seeds float into the sky. The scene flashes to Daybreak Town where
Ephemer runs into the wielder at the Fountain Square)

Ephemer: Sorry!

(The wielder explains how they felt)

Ephemer: I'm sorry. I really am! There was something important I had to
take care of. I hope you can forgive me. Are you still up for our adventure?

(They smile and return to the Underground Waterway)

Ephemer: It's up ahead. Are you with me?

(The wielder freezes)

Ephemer: Ah, you're not ready yet. I had a feeling that might be the
case. I'll be waiting.

(Dandelions float over Ephemer's form and he disappears to the wielder's
surprise. The wielder awakes in their bed)

Chirithy: Did you have another dream?

(The wielder looks sad)

Chirithy: It was about your friend, wasn't it?

(The wielder gives a suggestion)

Chirithy: You want to go search for him in the tower? No way! Only the
foretellers are allowed there. Besides...now's not a good time.

(The wielder looks confused)

Chirithy: I can't go into detail, but the foretellers... Well, lately,
they've been disagreeing on a few things. Let's just say, you should steer
clear of that tower for the time being.

(The wielder debates this idea and decides to visit the tower. Chirithy
follows worriedly)

Chirithy: I don't think this is a good idea.

(The wielder wanders)

Chirithy: Are you even listening?

(The wielder runs ahead)

Chirithy: Wait! Where are you going?

(The wielder speaks to other Keyblade wielders)

Keyblade Wielder 1: I heard something interesting. It seems one of the
Masters is recruiting Keyblade wielders with potential.

Keyblade Wielder 2: I believe it's Master Ava, the one in the fox mask.
These days, I see her around the plaza all the time.

Keyblade Wielder 3: Ephemer? The kid with the silver hair, right? I saw
him talking to Master Ava the other day. I have a friend who knows the
Master pretty well. Unfortunately, he's off completing a task in Agrabah.
I don't know when he'll be back. Why don't you go and find him yourself?

(The wielder travels to Agrabah and finds the other wielder's friend in
the Desert)

Keyblade Wielder 4: Hi! What brings you out here? Huh? You were looking
for me?

(The wielder explains)

Keyblade Wielder 4: So you want to know about Master Ava. I can't tell you
much, except that I see her around the tower a lot. I don't know how to get
inside, but there has to be a way, right?

(The wielder returns to the clock tower in Daybreak Town to look for clues
and finds Master Ava in the Underground Waterway)

Chirithy: Master Ava...!?

Ava: You're...

(The wielder nods)

Ava: Why are you here?

(The wielder mentions Ephemer)

Ava: Ephemer? Yes, I know him, but you still haven't answered my question.

(The wielder mentions the rumors they've heard)

You came to find me because of some rumor?

(The wielder explains their dream)

Ava: You had a dream? I see. Ephemer said he was waiting for you here in
your dream, but this place is restricted.

(She walks past the two of them)

Ava: So you thought that he may have gotten caught up in the problems that
we foretellers have been having lately. And because someone saw us talking
the other day, you thought that maybe I had something to do with it.

(The wielder acknowledges her statement)

Ava: You're honest. I like you. You're not too far off base, but I can't
tell you much else right now.

(She summons her Keyblade)

Chirithy (surprised): Master Ava!?

(She aims it at the wielder)

Ava: Show me what you can do.

(The wielder struggles against the Foreteller's might, but manages to keep
up the battle until finally she terminates the fight when the wielder
collapses. Chirithy runs to their side)

Ava: Not bad. I see a lot of potential in you. But I also see sadness in
your heart. Hanging onto it will eventually lead to darkness. You need
to somehow let it go.

(She walks over to them)

Ava: With this little one helping you, you'll be fine. Now, go home. And
I'm sorry, but this area is strictly off-limits, all right?

(The wielder gets up and nods before walking away)

Ava: So it's you. You're the friend he told me about...

(The scene flashes back to Ephemer in the Waterway sneaking into the tower)

Ephemer: Sorry...

(He steps through the frozen gear, but something stops him. He turns back)

Ephemer: Who is it?

(Someone nears him on the bridge)

Ephemer: You...!?

(The scene changes to later at night, as the wielder sleeps, Chirithy
watches over them)

Chirithy: That was one doozy of a day. Betcha didn't think you'd end up
having to fight a foreteller.

???: I'm sorry. But it wasn't fun for me either, you know.

(Chirithy turns to see Master Ava sitting on the windowsill)

Chirithy: Master Ava! What are you doing here?

Ava: Please, call me "Ava." Did you show him the dream of Ephemer?

Chirithy: No. That wasn't me.

Ava: Then perhaps it was Ephemer himself.

Chirithy: Huh? How is that possible?

Ava: Ephemer's getting very close to the truth.

(She walks over to the bed)

Ava: He's fallen into an unchained state and now finds himself in a
different realm. From that realm, I believe he tried reaching out to them.

(She bends over the wielder, almost touching them)

Ava: If they connected, even in a dream, that means they're getting closer
to that realm too. Whether they continue down that path is up to their own
heart.

(She turns to Chirithy)

Ava: Chirithy, you have to protect them from the nightmares, so the wind
can carry them far away from here.

(Ava begins walking and fades away, leaving Chirithy alone in silence)

Chirithy: Me...?

(The next day, the wielder and Chirithy walk through Daybreak Town)

Chirithy: You look like you can use a change of scenery, kiddo. And what
timing because another world needs your help!

(The wielder opens a portal to an enchanted castle. The two walk in
through the outer gates and stare up at the dark and looming structure)

Chirithy: This place gives me the creeps! But even if it's haunted, you
can't turn back. As a Keyblade wielder, it's your duty to--

(The wielder points behind him, where a Search Ghost Heartless has appeared)

Chirithy: Hm? What is it?

(The Heartless vanishes just as the cat turns around)

Chirithy: It's just a statue, silly.

(The Heartless reappears and the wielder points again)

Chirithy: What?

(The same thing happens)

Chirithy: Are you sure you're not seeing things?

(The wielder insists)

Chirithy: I told you already, there's nothing--

(He turns again and...)

Chirithy: AHHH!

(...scares the Search Ghost)

Chirithy: Oh wait, it's just a Heartless.

(The Search Ghost drifts away into the castle)

Chirithy: Well, don't just stand there! Go after it!

(The wielder runs after the Heartless, leaving Chirithy alone... by
himself... in the dark)

Chirithy: Wait for me!

(He races after the wielder, who catches up to the Search Ghost. A clock and
a candelabra on a small table against the wall exchange glances. When the
wielder eliminates the Search Ghost, they smile and hop down onto the floor.
Just as they approach the red carpet where the wielder stands, five more
Heartless appear and one tries to grab the wielder. The commotion forces a
door to open at the top of the stairs leading to the West Wing. A large
hairy clawed foot steps out of the light. The wielder stops as a giant Beast
charges down the staircase on all fours, growling at the intruders. He
rushes past the wielder and roars at the Heartless, leaping and clawing at
the Search Ghosts. Once the Heartless are defeated, the Beast turns to the
wielder, breathing swiftly, fury in his blue eyes. The wielder takes a few
steps back in fear. The Beast's clawed hand is the last thing the wielder
remembers before blacking out. That, and the pain. Later, the wielder awakes
on a bed of straw in a dark room with a single window. Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: He wasn't very friendly, was he? But he helped defeat the
Heartless, so maybe he's not all bad.

(The cat leaps onto the window and gazes around the room)

Chirithy: This isn't the warmest welcome we've ever had, though... By the
way, do you remember what Master Ava said?

(The wielder acknowledges)

Chirithy: That's right. The sadness in the heart leads to darkness.

(Chirithy's eyes turn toward the view outside)

Chirithy: There might be sadness in his heart, too.

(The wielder ponders and the cat turns back toward them)

Chirithy: At any rate, you've seen Heartless in this world. This isn't the
time to be sitting around feeling sorry for yourself!

(He jumps down to them)

Chirithy: You gotta break outta here!

(The wielder notices the door)

Chirithy: The door is locked? Well, I'm sure there's something you can do.

(The wielder summons their Keyblade and approaches the door)

Chirithy: Hold it! I hear someone!

(Chirithy disappears and the wielder moves away from the door. After
hearing footsteps approach, the door opens and in walks a young woman in a
blue frock accompanied by the clock and candelabra from earlier and a
teapot and teacup. The woman's pretty face holds a concerned look)

?????: Is this the one you were telling me about?

(The candle nods and the woman turns to the wielder)

?????: Hello, my name is Belle, and these are my friends. I heard that you
made some of those monsters go away. You must be very brave. I'm sorry you
were locked up like this.

(The clock steps forward)

?????: Yes, we'll see what we can do about that. But first: introductions.
I am Cogsworth, head of the household.

(The candelabra spreads his golden arms wide, a flame on each candle)

???????: I am Lumière. It is a pleasure to meet you.

(The teapot smiles sweetly)

?????: Indeed it is. I'm Mrs. Potts. And this is my son--

(The teacup hops forward)

????: Chip!

(The wielder introduces themself)

Belle (smiling): It's nice to meet you. But I must ask; why did you come
here?

(The wielder explains the situation and the look on Belle's face returns
to concern)

Belle: So the monsters are drawn to a darkness in someone's heart... and
you're here to defeat those monsters?

Cogsworth: Preposterous! That would mean someone in this castle is to blame.

Lumière: You seem surprised, mon ami. Don't tell me you forgot what
happened earlier today.

Cogsworth: Oh, I suppose you're right...

Mrs. Potts: And here I thought the master had changed now that Belle's here...

Chip: Changed how, Mama?

Mrs. Potts: Never you mind that, Chip.

Belle: I'm afraid Chip's not the only one confused. I still don't
understand. I knew he was angry. But you think it might be sadness in the
Beast's heart? Well, there's only one way to find out. We'll just have to
talk to him. Will you follow me to his room?

(The wielder nods and they smile. Belle takes them to the West Hall)

Belle: His room is in the West Wing. But the hallway is filled with
monsters... Do you think you could clear the way for us?

(The wielder defeats Heartless throughout the West Hall)

Belle: Thank you! Now follow me.

(They continue to the disheveled West Wing, which is filled with more
monsters)

Cogsworth: Just because they're monsters, that's no excuse for their ill
manners. Would you mind, ahem, disposing of them?

(The wielder eliminates Heartless in the West Wing)

Cogsworth: You have my deepest gratitude. Now we must hasten to the master's
room.

(They enter the Beast's room. A bell jar covering a shining red rose sits
atop a table near the balcony. He sees the wielder and roars at them. Belle
intercepts)

Belle: Please! Stop!

(She takes hold of his strong arm and looks into his eyes)

Belle: Tell me what happened.

Beast: Those monsters... They tried to take something from me.

Belle: I see... It must be very important to you.

(He nods and scowls at the wielder)

Beast: Get out! I know you're one of them!

Belle (shouting): No!

(This startles the wielder and the Beast)

Belle: They are here to help us, not them! Please, we have to work together!

(The Beast's face turns somber)

Beast: I can't. I must stay here.

Belle (sternly): But those creatures will overrun the castle.

(The Beast sighs. Belle turns to the wielder)

Belle: We should leave.

(They begin to walk away, but the Beast turns toward them)

Beast: Wait!

(They stop)

Beast (heavily): I'll go with you. I must protect...my castle.

(The wielder nods)

Belle: Thank you.

(A great thud shakes the room as the door bursts open and Lumière, Cogsworth,
Mrs. Potts, and Chip fall into the room with the help of a large Wardrobe.
They saunter over to the group)

Cogsworth: Master, say the word and it shall be done.

Lumière: I shall drive back the invaders. They'll be scorched, burned,
flambéed!

Chip: I can help, too!

Mrs. Potts: Yes, sire. We'll do whatever we can.

Wardrobe: Count me in! I can't let you have all the fun.

Beast (humbly): Thank you. (sharply) But be careful. I don't want anyone
getting hurt.

(They work together with the Beast to reclaim the castle from the Heartless)

Beast: I think we've driven away the last of the monsters. Now, I must
return to the West Wing to see Belle.

(Beast leaves and the wielder follows him back to the West Wing where they
reunite with Belle)

Belle: You're all right!

(She walks up to them)

Belle: Thank you for all your help.

Beast: Yes. I am in your debt. Thank you.

(He nods his head gratefully and turns to Belle)

Beast: And thank you, Belle... You helped me see...

(He takes her hand in his)

Beast: ...that there's still kindness in the world.

Belle: You don't have to thank me. I can see how much you cared for everyone
here.

(They embrace)

Beast: Belle, there's something I want to show you. But first, you have to
close your eyes. It's a surprise.

(He leads her to another room in the castle)

Belle: Can I open my eyes?

Beast: All right.

(The woman's eyes open and she gazes around at a magnificent library. A
spiral staircase leads her eyes up to walls lined with multitudes of books)

Belle: I can't believe it. I've never seen so many books before in all my
life!

Beast: You like it?

(She turns back to him, seeing the hope in his eyes)

Belle: It's wonderful!

Beast: Then it's yours.

(She rushes to hug him)

Belle: Oh, thank you so much!

(Through a crack in the doorway leading to the hall, the castle servants
and the wielder watch the two of them, smiling)

Mrs. Potts: Would you look at that?

Lumière: Haha! I knew it would work.

(The candelabra hops away)

Chip: What? What works?

Cogsworth: It's very encouraging.

(The clock waddles away)

Chip: I didn't see anything.

Mrs. Potts: Come along, Chip. There's chores to be done in the kitchen.

(The teapot saunters away and the teacup follows. Later, as the stars
sparkle through the tall glass panes of the Ballroom, the Beast and Belle
share a romantic dance with the servants in attendance. The wielder
leaves and meets Chirithy outside the castle amidst a snowfall)

Chirithy: Well, that wraps up this world!

(The wielder nods)

Chirithy: That didn't take long at all. Maybe you're getting stronger.

(The wielder smiles happily. Suddenly, the doors to the castle slam open
and through the glare of candlelight, Belle rushes out onto the bridge in
a hood)

Chirithy: Uh oh!

(Chirithy hides as she runs past the wielder, trying not to be seen. Belle
fails to acknowledge the wielder and dashes into the forest)

Chirithy: I wonder what happened. Maybe you should follow her and find out.

(As the wielder runs after Belle, the wind and snow starts to pick up and
turn into a blizzard. After searching through the trees, they find Belle
kneeling over an elderly man in the snow. They are cornered by a Search
Ghost Heartless, but are soon freed by the Keyblade wielder)

Belle: Thank you. Again. The Beast let me go so I could help my father. But
then we were attacked by those monsters. I didn't realize there were still
more of them here. Oh, I hope he's all right!

(Belle helps her father to his feet)

Belle: I have to take my father home, but could you please check on the
Beast for me?

(The wielder nods. Later during a thunderstorm, a large muscle-bound man
marches through the forest with a horde of Heartless in tow. A Rabid Dog
Heartless dashes around the man as an aura of darkness emanates from him.
As the rain pours outside the window of the West Wing, the Beast stares
sadly at the bell jar, where the rose has lost several petals. Mrs. Potts
enters with the wielder)

Mrs. Potts: Pardon me, master.

Beast (roughly): Leave me in peace.

Mrs. Potts: But, sir, the castle is under attack! What shall we do?

Beast: It doesn't matter now. Just let them come.

(The teapot frowns and turns toward the wielder)

Mrs. Potts: I'm afraid with Belle gone, his heart is broken. It's up to us
now. We must protect the castle!

(The Beast watches them leave. As Heartless storm the castle, the wielder
fights back with their Keyblade. They take out an Air Soldier and
Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: Look!

(They look up to the balcony of the West Wing, where the dark man attacks
the Beast, who makes no effort to fight back. The man knocks him down onto
the roof of the castle)

Chirithy: I don't think there's anything you can do to help. His heart is
full of sadness. There's only one person who can help him now.

(Lightning crashes)

Chirithy: Oh, there she is!

(Chirithy vanishes as Belle and her father rush in. They spot the ensuing
battle on the roof and she gasps. The man strikes the Beast with a marble
bird-like spout pulled from the tower, sending him to the edge of the slick
roof)

Belle: No! Gaston, don't!

(Gaston raises the spiked spout once again with malice in his eyes. The dark
aura surrounding him summons a large Enraged Elk Heartless. The Heartless
swoops down toward them, causing Belle's father to flee. Belle rushes after
Maurice just as the Heartless approaches, but the wielder blocks the way.
They motion for Belle and Maurice to head to the castle while they deal
with the Enraged Elk. Once defeated, the Heartless screams in rage and
disappears. Chirithy returns)

Chirithy: The greater the darkness, the stronger a Heartless it creates.

(The wielder peers upward toward the roof and runs in the direction of the
castle. Gaston jumps down to a walkway bedecked with gargoyles, searching
for the Beast)

Gaston: Come on out and fight! Are you in love with her, Beast? Do you
honestly think she'd want you, when she had someone like me?

(The Beast comes out of hiding, striking Gaston. The two exchange blows,
Gaston cornering the Beast at the edge of the roof)

Gaston: It's over, Beast!

(He raises his spiked club)

Gaston: Belle is mine!

(Beast lunges upward and claws at Gaston, who almost loses his balance on
the wet stone. The Beast grabs him by the throat and holds him up over the
roof's edge, causing Gaston to drop his weapon. The man hangs there at the
mercy of the Beast as the gargoyles stare him down, their stone mouths wide
as if to laugh at his predicament)

Gaston (suddenly terrified): Let me go! Let me go! Please! Don't hurt me!
I'll do anything! Anything!

(Lightning strikes the ground and the Beast's expression changes. He sets
Gaston down on the roof)

Beast (menacingly): Get out.

Belle: Beast!

Beast: Belle!

(He looks up and sees Belle on the balcony above them)

Beast: Belle...

(The Beast leaves Gaston and climbs back up the roof, taking Belle's
outstretched hand)

Beast: You came back.

(He looks into her eyes and feels a sharp pain in his side. The Beast roars
as Gaston lifts the knife from his body. He moves to stab him again, but
loses his footing and with a scream, plunges to the couloir below. Belle
pulls the Beast up onto the balcony as the wielder and the castle servants
arrive. Beast lies on his back, his breath coming slowly)

Beast: You came back.

Belle: Of course I came back. I couldn't let them-- Oh, this is all my
fault. If only I'd gotten here sooner.

Beast: Maybe...it's better this way.

Belle: Don't talk like that. You'll be all right. We're together now.
Everything's going to be fine. You'll see.

Beast: At least I got to see you one...last...time.

(The Beast's eyes roll back and he collapses, motionless)

Belle: No, no! Please! Please! Please don't leave me!

(The falling raindrops were hard to discern from the tears streaming down
Belle's face)

Belle: I love you!

(The castle servants turn to see the final rose petal fall from the
enchanted rose and they exchange solemn glances, for love was all the
Beast had needed to return to human form, but perhaps it was too late. As
Belle lies with her arms clinging tightly to the Beast's body, the air
suddenly changes. She slowly opens her eyes as he begins to glow and his
body starts floating in the air. She stares wide-eyed as the wind wraps
his cloak around him, his form glowing brighter. His claws retract and his
thick fur disappears. With a flash, the beautiful figure of a man settles
softly to the floor. He stirs, standing and staring down at his body. He
whirls around)

Prince Adam: Belle...it's me.

(She moves closer and gazes deep into his sapphire eyes)

Belle: It IS you!

(They lean in for a kiss. Later, the two share a ballroom dance as Maurice
watches them happily. Chirithy pops in next to the wielder on the upper
ledge of the Ballroom)

Chirithy: I'm sure you've already noticed, but...she's the precious light
of this world.

(The wielder nods as the couple waltz below them. They leave Beast's Castle
and return to Daybreak Town)

Chirithy: A new kind of Heartless has appeared all over the map, kiddo! I
think you know what to do.

(The Keyblade wielder travels to Dwarf Woodlands and finds Snow White at
the Dwarf's Cottage)

Snow White: Why, hello there. I'm so glad you're doing well. My friends,
the Dwarfs, are at work, and I'm resting here for a spell. The Prince's
carriage should be on its way. There's a tea party at the castle today.

(The wielder finds Doc outside)

Doc: You've returned! Mucky for us--no--no, lucky for us! These fleas--uh--
uh, bees, just showed up outta nowhere!

(The wielder gives a determined look and Doc smiles)

Doc: You'll get rid of them? All right, but be careful. They sing--uh,
spring--uh--uh, sting!

(The wielder eliminates the Stinging Bees)

Doc: You have my banks--uh, thanks. Good luck to you! I'd best get back
to work now.

(Doc leaves and Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: There might be more of those Heartless in the mine. Why don't
you go take a look?

(The wielder traverses the mine, eliminating Heartless)

Happy: Gosh, they sure are scary!

Grumpy: Hmph! These monsters won't stop pesterin' us! How's a fella
supposed to get any work done!?

(Once the mine is cleared of Heartless, Chirithy returns)

Chirithy: Nice job, kiddo! You made quick work outta those busy bees. Now
onto the next world!

(The wielder leaves Dwarf Woodlands and travels to Wonderland, where they
find an Ace in throe)

Ace of Hearts: It's terrible! Horrible! Unbearable! Bees are swarming
around the Queen's roses! We're sure to lose our heads if she finds out!

(The wielder exterminates the bees in the Garden Maze)

Chirithy: Looks like that's all of them. What do you say we head back to
Daybreak Town, kiddo?

(The wielder opens a portal and enters Daybreak Town. As they walk through
the fountain square, Chirithy appears)

Chirithy: You've been doing a fantastic job lately. So, I have a present
for you!

(The cat pauses for effect)

Chirithy: Dun dada duuun!

(It pulls out a shining object)

Chirithy: The Bracelet of Light!

(It gives the wielder the bracelet and they put it on and hold it high)

Chirithy: I'm glad you're excited, but gee, calm down. Why don't you put it
somewhere for safekeeping?

(The wielder calms down)

Chirithy: With that bracelet, you can protect yourself against darkness.
You'll need it for the special mission we got from the foretellers.

(The wielder looks curious)

Chirithy: You'll be doing the same thing, you know, dealing with
monsters...just in a different, darker place... Your mission is to defeat
the Heartless in the Corridor of Darkness. But be careful. That bracelet
can only protect you for so long.

(The wielder gives a salute)

Chirithy: I knew I could count on you, kiddo. Now go and get 'em! I'm
rootin' for you!

(The wielder nods and enters the Corridor of Darkness. Inside, they defeat
hordes of Heartless, including a gigantic Darkside before returning to
Daybreak Town)

Chirithy: You were great in there, kiddo! Let's call it a day. But you
never know when we'll get another mission like this, so be prepared!

(Later in the clocktower, Chirithy reports to a Foreteller in a snake
mask)

????: I see... They've made great progress.

Chirithy: E-excuse me... Don't you think it was a little early for him to
take on this mission?

????: I have no choice but to hasten their training. They must strengthen
their resistance to the darkness as quickly as possible.

Chirithy: Why?

????: The darkness is drawing near. We need as many warriors as we can
get on our side--the side of light.

Chirithy: O-okay...
