They are accessed via the horizontal games menu at the top of the screen. It can be closed by clicking the Oops button, and reopened again by pressing the Games Menu button (top right button). The games go from left to right as follows - Words Game ---------- This is a game where you have to match up the same words. Objects Game ------------ This is a game where you have to match up the same objects. Characters Game --------------- This is a game where you have to match up the same Disney characters. Words & Objects Game -------------------- This is a game where you have to match up the object with the word. For example, matching the Hat picture card with the Hat word card. Words & Characters Game ----------------------- This is a game where you have to match up the Disney Character with the word. For example, matching the Goofy picture card with the Goofy word card. ------------ Menu Buttons ------------ These are the buttons on the right side, and open different menus. The menus go from top to bottom as follows - Games Menu ---------- This opens the games menu (more information about this can be seen in the section above). Players Menu ------------ This allows you to set how many people are playing. You can choose from single player, two player or single player against the computer. If you choose the last option you can choose what character the computer is - this is a choice of either Goofy, Daisy or Mickey. Cards Menu ---------- Here you can change the amount of cards you play with - you can choose 8, 15 or 24 cards. ---- Exit ---- This is the Stop button at the bottom right corner. Once you have clicked this you are taken to a screen with three options; System Setup, Start or Quit. You move between these using the arrow keys and you select your option with the Enter key. System Setup ------------ This is the Options area of the game, where you can change the Timer or the Card View Time. You can turn the Timer on or off, and set the time for it (either 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 60 seconds) and you can change the Card View Time from either Slow, Medium or Fast. Start ----- Return to the Main Menu. Quit ---- Return to the Workbench. If you didn't load this from the workbench, then the game crashes. Whee. =============================================================================== 3. HINTS AND TIPS =============================================================================== The games are card memory games, where you select two cards from the selection in a bid that they are a matching pair. The cards are concealed so you cannot see their values, so some guess work is involved to begin with. As you go, try your best to remember the cards you have found and where you found them. You rarely get a match the first time, so don't worry about that. After a few turns you should see a match, so then go ahead and chose that pair, and continue. If really helps to have a good memory to excel at this game, so you can remember what you have found so far and to use them later on. You also have a 'Peek' option available to you, which can be found in the bottom right corner of the screen. This shows all the cards values for a short period of time, and within this time you can match pairs in your head. Remember two or three pairs only, then once the cards are concealed again match the pair up. Remember that the peek option only appears once per game. If you want to play a more challenging game, don't use the peek option. :) The different games will test you further, such as matching the picture with the corresponding word card. Again memory plays a part, and you could try remembering just the locations of words and picture cards if remembering their exact meanings becomes to much. You can increase the difficulty by having more cards on the screen. This is done by selecting the Cards Menu on the right side of the screen, and you have a choice of 8, 15 or 24 cards. Start with eight cards, then as you find yourself getting better move up to 15 and eventually 24 cards. You can also have a timer to time yourself (found in the System Setup).
