Walkthrough ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Introduction and advice ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've discovered this game when I was around 10. My parents bought it at their local game store, and we tried to finish it with my Mum. Unfortunately, we got blocked early in the game (the thermometer heating step), and we sort of left it there. 20 years later, I decided to finish it for real. So I came back where I was blocked, and magically, I found quickly how to heat that damn thermometer. From that point, I moved on regularly, although I found some tiny bits of help around the internet to move forward. I found no full walkthrough for the entire game, so I chose to make mine. It's not a good game, it's ugly, it has almost no music nor sounds, the GUI and the gameplay are absolutely horrible, and the character's morality/actions are sometimes incoherent and freaky. Nevertheless, since I've spent some time to finish it, to note every step and to draw the complete map, I thought I would contribute with the walkthrough. One final note before I detail every step : save VERY often, and go as quickly as possible. If you don't complete some actions in a required time, the whole game is over and you'll have to restart from a previous save. I'd advise to save, test the next action, re-load the save, redo the action as quickly as possible, save, etc. Good luck and have fun ! :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.1 Historisat : reach the time machines ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * SAS : Take the hammer. * Reception hall : use the hammer on the alarm. * Curator Bernstein's room : take the megot. * Director's room : talk to the director, take the shuttle pass. * Drop the hammer somewhere (no use). * Take the shuttle, to go to seaworld. * On the way, drop the leaflet given by the apocalypse monk-looking guy (no use). * Seaworld : talk to the guide until she gives a souvenir rubber fish. * Delaunay's house : give the fish to his wife. * Talk to Delaunay in the house, follow him into the machine. * Talk to the old Bernstein until he has nothing to say and leave. * Come back, drop the shuttle pass in the Historisat SAS (no use). * Infirmary : take the glove. * Infirmary : talk to the nurse until she gives the thermometer. * Reception hall : talk to Tracyuntil she says that toilets for women are too hot. * Toilets for women : go to the end where your character is off screen, use the thermometer. * Infirmary : talk to the nurse, she injects antibiotics. * Drop the thermometer (no use). * South hall : take the game card. * Food dispenser room : use the food dispenser computer to choose the toffee (1, then 4). * Take the toffee. * Sun diver room : give the toffee to the boy (Jamie). * Sun diver room : use the game card to play the game, and achieve +11000 hiscore. * Drop the game card (no use). * North library : talk to Jim until he tells to go to the other librarian. * South library : talk to the librarian, who tells you to change clothes. * Change room : change clothes (go off screen on the right). * Change room : take the soap. * South library : talk to the librarian, until she changes your clearance level. * Drop the megot, use the glove, take the megot (although nothing seems to have changed, your character takes the megot with the glove on). * "No smoking" room : talk to the guy, and give the megot. He tells you there are Bernstein's prints on it. Congratulations, you're now ready to travel in Time ! * Go to Gallery 1 : drop the soap a little before time travelling. * Time machine 1 : enter Merlin's code (04210503). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.2 Merlin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Take the eye. * Talk to the boy. * Take the gold coin. * Drop the eye. * Talk to the gnome. * Give the gold coin. * Get the iron coin. * Pier : talk to the sailor. * Give the coin. * Cave entrance : talk to the sailor again. * Take the gold hand and enter the cave. * In the cave : just let your character walk without interruption. It just has to come from a screen end to the other. If the character enters from the right of the screen, go left, and vice versa. Don't forget to click on "use the gold hand" every time your change screen. The caves seems to have a different room number and directions every new game. * Merlin's cave : talk to Merlin until he gives you the orb. Take the orb and click on the GUI "T" to go back to the Historisat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.3 Historisat : start to repair the machines ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You won't be able to go to the next time machine (Nightingale) before showing the orb to the robot located at the other side of the Historisat (near the reception hall). So we're going to minimize walking time and manage objects so that the 4 slots limit doesn't become a problem. You can find almost all the codes for the time machines by reading the dates in front of the historical statues in the galleries. I'll tell you the useful ones in the walkthrough if you don't want to spend time noting all of them down. * Gallery 2 : talk to the teacher and leave Jamey. * Gallery 1 : talk to the guy again and get the code for the computer (007). * "No smoking" room : talk to Randy until she says to use Tracy's diamond ring. * "No smoking" room : Use the computer in the room to enter the 007 code (1 : 007, 2 to log off). * Lab 1 third room : take the ring. * Food dispenser : take and eat/use V-Curry. This will make you sick and teleport straight back to the men's toilets. Cool eh ? * Give the ring to Tracy, and take the diamond ring she gives you. * Show the orb to the robot. * Go back to Randy. On the way, take another V-Curry. * Give the ring to Randy. She might be in a room a little farther in the labs. She tells you to go wash your hands to get the neurofix. * Use the V-Curry. * Men's toilets : use the soap when watching the sink. * Go back to Randy. Take another V-Curry with you on the way. * Talk to Randy, and get the neurofix. * Go to Nightingale's machine (Gallery 3). * Near the machine, drop the neurofix and the V-Curry. * Enter the code : 18201910. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.4 Nightingale ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Go to the right. * Talk to the Russian military, until he sends you to prison. * Talk to the English guy in prison. Take the bone key and folllow him. * Cemetery : talk to the ex-prisoner again, and take the plans. * Go back to the Russian military and give him the plans. * Go to the battlefield, and try to stop your character near a hole in the ground, but not totally in front of the cannons. Be shot (but not too much, or you'll end up at the infirmary, and you don't want that). * You're brought to Nightingale. Talk to her, give her the orb, and talk to her again to have it back. * Teleport back to the Historisat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.5 Historisat : escape the Securimek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Take back your V-Curry and the neurofix. * Use the V-Curry to go faster to the other side of the station. * Give the orb to the robot again, and take it back. * On your way back to the labs, you meet the securimek, who sends you to jail. * Jail : Take the screwdriver on the floor. * Use the screwdriver on the magnetic panel. * When the Securimek comes (wait a little), re-use the screwdriver. * The Securimek is pulled towards the center of the room, which allows you to run to the left off screen, and escape. * Go to lab 2 (south) : take the battery. * Go to battery room : look at monitor 3 and 4 TWICE. The first one shows you the battery, and the second click on "look" (while looking at the battery) shows the chip. You'll have to insert the chip (neurofix) for machine 3 and the battery for machine 4. Now all the time machines of the galleries are unblocked. Let's go there ! * Before leaving, drop the screwdriver near the machine 3 (you'll need it to unlock the chip and put it into machine 5 later on). * Take a V-Curry, and go to gallery 2, to machine 3. * Drop your V-Curry near the machine. * The machine takes you to Leonardo da Vinci, code : 14521519. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.6 Leonardo da Vinci ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Go to the right, talk to Salai. * Take the rose he gives you. * Give the rose to Isabella on the left. * Talk to Leonardo. * Take the plans he gives you. * Go to the alley on the right. Be careful not to talk to much to the guy there, he'd kill you. * Go back to talk to Salai. Go to the alley, do nothing, go back to talk to Salai. * Follow Salai, and go past both characters "fighting". * Go to the right towards Borgia, give him the plans, and take the gem he gives you. * Go back to Leonardo, talk to him, give him the gem (it might be a little difficult to talk to him because of Isabella being too close, but you can really select him, try again !). * Give the orb to Leonardo, and take it back. * Teleport back to the Historisat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.7 Historisat : one more time to the robot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * As usual, take back your V-Curry. * Use the V-Curry to go faster to the other side of the station. * Give the orb to the robot again, and take it back. * Go to the 4th machine directly (and take your new V-Curry on the way !), in gallery 4. * Drop your V-Curry next to the machine. * Code : 01010044. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.8 Caesar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Talk to the Briton, and take the statue she gives to you. * Go to the boat on the right, and talk to the Roman. * Give the statue to the Roman, to be taken to Rome. * When you arrive in the arena, talk to the guard to enter. * In the circus, try to find a place (mine was more or less 2/3 of the way, coming and going on a small distance) where you're almost not reached by the lions, and... wait... around two... long... minutes. * After that, you're brought to Caesar, who grants you freedom. * Give him the orb. Take the ring he gives to you. * Go to the left, take the boat and go back to the beach where you started. * Go to the Roman again, and give him the ring. * In the barracks, go right to find the Briton. Talk to her. * She'll follow you back to Caesar (go left to go back to his Palace in Rome). * Talk to Caesar. He tells you about a gift he's given to his new girlfriend. * Talk to the Briton, who gives you the orb back. * Teleport to Historisat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.9 Historisat : almost there ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * As usual, take back your V-Curry. * Use the V-Curry to go faster to the other side of the station. * Give the orb to the robot again, and take it back. * Go to the battery room (don't forget your beloved V-Curry!). * Take the battery back from machine 4. * Use the screwdriver (you've normally left it right beside the machine 3) to take the neurofix back from machine 3. * Put both objects into machine monitor 5, in the next room that contains the 5th machine. * Drop your V-curry close to the machine. * Enter the code : 05510478. In case you're wondering, the right dates for Confucius are in the disk (A105) you can find on the floor in the south library (the one with the librarian that grants your access and hates your clothes), and that you can read in the "know your history" room. You don't have to do it in your game if you don't want to spend time on reading the disks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.10 Confucius ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Go to the right (sort of temple) and take the plants on the floor. * To the left, take the boat, and go off screen in the house where the old woman is. * Going near the fire will burn the plants, and be more efficient for the woman's memory. * Talk to the woman, give her the plants. * Take the pearl. * Ok, fun part. Go to the boat again, which takes you to the "bog". * There, talk to the first brother (you don't care what he says), and give him the pearl. His answer will end with "could" or "couldn't", I don't remember the exact sentence but it doesn"t matter. * Do the same with the other brother. Be careful to talk to both, sometimes you'll have to click/move several times before reaching the second one. * To choose the next screen (left/right), go to the side of the brother who answered "could". * Do that same process accross several screens. * Finally, you'll meet Confucius. Talk to him, give him the orb, take it back. * Teleport on the Historisat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.11 Historisat : this is the end ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * As usual, take back your V-Curry. * Use the V-Curry to go faster to the other side of the station. * Give the orb to the robot again, and take it back. He should say "active!" now. * Go to the battery room again (you might appreciate to bring a V-Curry !), that's where you'll find the Securimek. * He'll talk about killing the other robot. * Follow him up to the robot's room (I personally lost him in the station, where he took a different hub than mine. That's where I decided to take a final V-Curry, and wait for him in the robot's room). * After a while, the Securimek shows up in the robot's room. * Talk to him.
