Befriending [BG05] ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Whenever you win a non-boss non-story battle, you have a chance of befriending any of the Yo-Kai in the battle. This is the main way in which you'll gain new Yo-Kai. You can increase the chances of befriending any Yo-Kai in one of three ways. 1. Food. By using a food item on an enemy Yo-Kai you increase the chances of befriending them. You can only use one food item on each enemy in battle. A Yo-Kai's Favorite food will increase the chance of befriending more than other foods, and each food in a category has a different effective level. (From alittle to alot). 2. The Whisp. Theres a blue whisp that sometimes shows up in battle, using the target on it will result in either gainning a item, money, or making befriending the Yo-Kai in that battle easier. 3. Certain Yo-Kai have a Passive Ability that increases the odds of befriending enemy Yo-Kai while its in your party. -List of Yo-Kai with this ability to come in the future. Even when you do everything to give you the best odds possible, its still possible to not befriend any Yo-Kai in the battle. Thus getting every Yo-Kai in the game can be a headache inducing struggle for people who want to complete this goal. By getting certain Yo-Kai you can fill up the back pages of the Yo-Kai Book, filling these pages will unlock lengendary Yo-Kai. Some Yo-Kai can change into new Yo-Kai by leveling up, Fuseing two Yo-Kai's together, or fuseing a Yo-Kai and an Item together. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 06. Walk=through [WH07] ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ------------------ Walkthrough Key ------------------ The main Walkthrough will be broken into Episodes to follow the flow of the game's own episodes. I'll start each episodes with any new Yo-Kai you can befriend, and then any new Requests/Favors, and then a Walk-through leading you through the side-quests first, and then the main story for that episode last. *L* = I will use this to Mark Yo-Kai you need to unlock a Legendary Yo-Kai *Up* = Marks Yo-Kai that Change into a New Yo-Kai when leveling up. *F* = Marks Yo-Kai that can be fused into a new Yo-Kai. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Episode 1 : Welcome, Yo-Kai! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - After the opening Scenes when you gain control, head downstairs and speak with your in-game mother, and then go outside. This game is good with it's tutorial infomation so I won't have to explain most of the simple controls. - We're starting the game by catching bugs, so head to the park. There will always be a red arrow/dot on your map (Lower screen) pointing you towards where you have to be for the main quest. - Walk up to the trees and hit the A button to interact with them. Bug catching actually uses some of the same things as finding Yo-Kai. Simple put the lens over a bug and press A to attempt to catch one. ----------------------------------------------------------------- | B U G C A T C H I N G | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | To catch a bug you must hit "A" While the arrow is on a yellow| | Bar. If there is a chance to catch a RARE bug a single red bar| | will be amoung the yellow bars. Landing on the red bar results| | in a RARE bug. Using Black Syrups will add a bar for you, and | | can sometimes add a red bar instead of a yellow one. Rare | | versions of a bug have a star in their name. | --------------------------------------------------------------- ` You'll need to catch one Green Cicada on each of the three trees in the park. Leaving you with three Green Cicadas in all. - If you mess up on catching a bug, just exit the tree screen and enter it again and the Cicada will be back. - Next you need to go to the School in order to chat with the Janitor. - On your way to the School you may come across a Cross-walk. While you can just run across it, it'll prove problematic for you if you do it too often. You need to interact with the walk light/sign and wait for it to turn green before crossing. If you fail to do so 5 times in a row you'll run into an S rank Yo-Kai who will too powerful for you to handle for most of the game, and its a battle you can't run from. So either always mind the rules of the road, OR just avoid using these cross-walks to cross the road. - The janitor will give you three Black Syrups and point you towards the woods, which is north of the school, theres a path on the east side of the school to the woods. - Follow the path to the temple, while you can catch more bugs if you want too, you do not need too. - Once at the temple head to the right(east) path. - When you get near the blocked path a scene will play. - You now need to catch some Brown Cicadas in the Trees near here. - Once your done with the first tree the path opens. - Continue along the newly open path. - After the scene interact with the tree that has the red "!" - Finding Yo-Kai isn't too difference from bug catching, only you can't see the Yo-Kai at first. You'll have to move the lens around to find the Yo-Kai, once found just keep the lens on the Yo-Kai until the Bars fill up. Sometimes you'll see a purple or blue glow were the Yo-Kai is if you haven't found the Yo-Kai yet. This is the game's way of giving you a hint to where it it. ` After finding Buhu talk to him to begin a battle. ----------------------------- | Story - Battle | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | - This is the first battle in the game, and its easy to win. Just have Cadin| | use his Soultimate move to finish Buhu. | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - You Befriend Cadin before the Battle, and Befriend Buhu after the battle. Giving you Two Yo-Kai. - Episode End. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Episode 2 : Enter Jibanyan! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - There are some Yo-Kai that are out in the open, when your near one you'll see a Purple "?" were the Rank normally shows up on your watch. Your watch will also Pluse Purple. Hit the "Y" button to use the lens and search for a Yo-Kai. - Talk to Dismarelda. - Exit your house after the scene and you get three Plum Rice Balls. - You need to befriend three Yo-Kais. I'll leave you to run around and explore a bit, get used to battling and befriending Yo-kai. - After your second battle or so you'll unlock Eyepos. They'll appear on your map as a blue flame with an eye. These places heal your Yo-Kai fully, allows you to change your party members, and allows you to save. These guys show up in a lot of places so its a good idea to use them often to heal your Yo-Kai. - After befriending three Yo-Kai it'll be time to go to the Fish Market. Once there talk to the man with the red "!". - The Yo-Kai your looking for is south across the road by the two cats at the conner here. - Talk to the Cat Yo-Kai for a Scene. - Next head into the Ally behind the fish place. - These areas are common in this game, Most Yo-Kai do not hide while in these areas and will actively seek out battles with you. However some hidden Yo-kai can still be found in some of these areas. Such as in the Trash Cans of this one. - The Yo-Kai your looking for is in the South-West conner of this area. - Theres a Yellow Chest with an Small Exporb in here, and a Purple Chest. - Yellow Chests are one-time chests that always carry the same item. While Purple chests seem to reset with a new item every so often, and have random items in them. - Theres a small hole near the Yellow chest with a latter, going down here leads to another yellow chest with a Rusty Ring in it. - Theres also a locked door down here you can't so anything about yet. - You may notice a strange door in the ally with the letter C on it. This is a Yo-kai Door. You can only open it if your Watch is at least that rank. However our watch's current rank is E so we can't open that door yet either. - Time to battle Roughraff. ----------------------------- | Story - Battle | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | - Use Cadin's Soulitmate move to start this battle. Its a rather easy and | | Straight forward battle. | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Head back out of the ally. (A scene will play out before your able to leave). - Talk to Jibanyan. - You will Befriend Jibanyan. - When you befriend Jibanyan he'll unlock one of the spaces for a legendary Yo-Kai. To obtain Legendary Yo-kai you need to befriend all the required Yo-Kai first. - Jibanyan is a Unquie Yo-kai, you won't get another one until Post-Game. So don't be careless with him. - You may of notice when you were befriending the 3 Yo-kai that it was really easy to befriend a Yo-Kai, and that once you had three Yo-kai that you couldn't befriend anymore Yo-Kai. This is so 1. You can easily/Quickly fill your party with Yo-Kai to start the game with. And 2. To make sure Jibanyan is added to your active party. As he's a D Rank Yo-Kai, Jubanyan is the strongest Yo-Kai you can get by this point, so the game trys to make you have him for the first boss battle to make things easier on you. - Rearrange your party, If your like me you have both Cadin and Jibanyan in your party, since these are both Charm Yo-kai if you have them next to one another in your party they will gain a boost in battle. Same thing will happen for any Yo-Kai paired with a Yo-Kai from the same Class. You can tell the class of a Yo-kai when looking at the Medal by the color. Charm has a pink color and the two metals have a link when put next to each other. - Use the Near-By Eyepo and then head home. - Talk to Dismareida. ----------------------------- | Boss - Battle - Dismareida | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | - This is an easy over all boss battle. Yo-kai like Dimmey whose Soulitmate | | Move does a lot of damage to a single target can be useful here. Although | | for this battle Jibanyan will be the most useful. Dismareida will spend most| | of the battle inspiriting your Yo-Kai, switch out inspirited Yo-Kai and | | Purify them for extra EXP. Do NOT leave Yo-Kai that have been inspirited by | | enemy Yo-kai in battle. If they are attacked the enemy Yo-kai, Their | | soulitmate moves will charge faster. And your Yo-Kai will be hit by a super | | strong move. You need to find five | | chickens. The first is in a classroom on the west side of the first floor. | | The second is by the west stairs on the first floor. The thrid can be found | | in the east hallway on the second floor. Form the north part of the second | | floor head down the stairs and the fouth chicken should be near there. The | | final chicken is found in a classroom on the west side of the thrid floor. | | Return to the boy to turn in the request. | | | | (So the boy gives you chicken thighs for finding his chickens? The second item| | is in the room all the way west on the first floor, its near the middle of | | the room. On the thrid floor in the west most room just inside the east door| | is the thrid item. The fouth item is in the east most room on the thrid | | floor, in the north near the person standing there. The final one is in the | | East most room on the second floor in the southeast conner. Talk to the | | Janitor on the first floor to finish this request. | | | | Rewards: Support Life #7, Fruit Drops | | EXP: 35 | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- ---------------------- ----- | Favor | Here, Fishy, Fishy | 001 | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Location: The Shrine in Wildwood | | | | - This little girl will ask for various fishes. Turn them into her for a | | reward. | | | | - You don't yet have a way to fish so if you want to complete this one | | you'll need to buy the fish from the Fish Market. (If they have the fish | | she wants.) Though its better to put this off for now. | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Let's start this episode with doing several Requests. - The first one is south of your house at the blue flag. Talk to the woman. There is a vending machine near-by, go east then north at the conner and you should see it. Buy a Y-cola, and if you have the funds, a Soul Tea (Which is needed for a different quest.) Return to the Woman and Talk to her again to hand over the Y-Cola. - Further south is a Barkery, inside is the next request. Talk to the girl in the upper right conner to start. The guy your looking for is in Shady Back Ally. Which is behind the fish Market. Once there talk to the guy in the north. Down the stairs from this person is a Yokai, uncover it with your lens, then talk to it to fight. After winning the battle talk to the guy again, then return too the barkery and talk to the girl again to finish the quest. - Next head to the sports field next to the school. (The school is where you went to see the Janitor before). Theres a Girl whose been inspirited here, talk to her, then use the lens to find the yokai by the tree. Talk to the yokai to battle it. Talk to the girl again after the battle. - Theres a Yokai hiding as a teddy bear in the sports field as well. He's just there to give you adivce. - Next head to the Everymart (South of the School), theres a girl on the west side of it hiding behind a van. Talk to her and if you have a Dimmy talk to her again. If you don't have one, go befriend a dimmy and then talk to her again. - There is another girl infront of the Everymart who is being inspirited. Talk to her. Theres a Yokai next to her, find him with your lens then talk to him. If you don't have a Plum Rice Ball you can buy it at the everymart, talk to the yokai again to give him the rice ball. Next he'll want a Soul Tea, if you didn't grab one eariler you can buy it from vending machines. Talk to the yokai a thrid time to give him the tea. Then talk to Lulu again to finish. - Next head to the Preschool, which is just a little east of the school, and talk to the teacher. You need to find and beat three Yokai in all. One is nearby the teacher, another is under the slide, and the third is on the roof. Once you beat all three talk to the teacher again. - The next Request is in the Jungle Hunter Building all the wat in the south east of springdale. Talk to the main in the upperleft. He wants a Rhino Beetle. Which is found in the trees in wildwood. (since its easier to find at night you may want to come back to this later). Once you have one talk to the guy again to turn it it. - The next request is inside the school itself. Talk to the boy just inside the building. There are five chickens to find. The first two are on this floor. One is to the east inside a classroom, the second is to the far west near the stairs. The second floor has one chicken in the east hall. From that chick go north and head down the east stairs in this part of the school to the second part of the first floor to find another chicken right there. The last chicken is in a classroom on the west side of the thrid floor. Go all the way back to the boy on the first floor and talk to him. - The final Request of this episode is found in the teacher's room in the far west side of the first floor. Talk to the janitor in the north of this room. You need to find five items around the school for this one. In the room to the east check the east wall for the first item. The second item is in the room all the way west on the first floor, its near the middle of the room. On the thrid floor in the west most room just inside the east door is the thrid item. The fouth item is in the east most room on the thrid floor, in the north near the person standing there. The final one is in the East most room on the second floor in the southeast conner. Talk to the Janitor on the first floor to finish this request. - That's all the Requests, from now on I'll only post the requests/faver information before the walk-through part and not include the them in this part. This time was just to help people get used to the running around before the start of each episodes walk-through. - At this point your Yokai are probably Level 9 or close to it. We're going to pick up some items here and there before moving onto the episode's main quest. - Head to the Catwalk (North of the everymart) for a purple chest, and a yellow chest with a broze doll. - Next is Desolate Lane just south of the exit to wildwood. Here is a yellow chest with a Nasty Medicine. - At the post office you can turn in passwords for items, its located in the south of springdale. See the Cheats section of Game FAQs for a current list of passwords to turn in. You can also download rewards from the internet. Getting different coins. If you have QR codes you can use them in the bank to the west of the post office. You can find some QR codes in the forums on Game FAQs. (You'll mostly get more coins). - Go to Wildwood and head to the Shrine. On the way is another teddy bear that is the advice giving Yokai. You can pick up the Favor here but you probably won't be able to finish it this episode. - To the right of the Shrine is the path to the Crank-a-kai. You can use this up tp three times a day, put Coins into the Crank-a-kai for items and some Yokai. Go ahead and use it now if you have some coins. - Follow the left path from the shrine until you reach the Abandened Tunnel west area. There are a few chests in here. - Head on in until you get a scene, to the right is a path leading to the first Minekart you'll be using in here. Ride the minecart. Head southwest follow the path up, east, and across a wooden bridge to the next kart, ride it to a yellow chest with Coffee Milk in it. Use the Kart to return, then back track and go north this time, following the path to a yellow chest with a blue coin. Further north is a switch, use it. Go back across the wooden bridge and take the kart again. Take the east path north to enter a battle, winning this yields the Leadoni Wheel. Go back to the kart and ride it again. For the last yellow chest we can get this time go north of the kart than east from the C Rank Door. It will have a Row Rice Ball in it. - Thats it for all the side-stuff this episode, finish collecting any of the Yokai you want and then head to Triangle Park. - Talk to Kate/Nate. - Head to the river and talk to them again. (In the west part of town, follow the red arrow/dot). - The Yokai is on the north bench. - Talk to the Yokai and you'll befriend Tattletell. Unless you got Hungramps already, Tattletell will be the first Yokai you've befriended who can heal other Yokai. - Talk to Kate/Nate again. - Exit the house and head to the post office. - Talk to the man outside the post office. - After the battle you need to find two more places, the first is at the bank to the west. Interact with the staute for another battle. The Next Seal is north of the park, next to the community center. Interact with Grave Stone for the next battle. - Heal/Save at an Eyepo before continuing. - Go to the School.
